I was craving a shrimp on bun and decided to stop here. The sandwich was pretty good. And they gave a good amount of fries for the price. I do feel like they could have put more shrimp on the sandwich but overall it was good. They also have great prices. I plan to return to try their wings.

So this spot was a cool find It was packed people ordering Shrimp po' /Chicken pieces with fried rice It's a Chinese restaurant mixed with local favorites so it was a cool take. ** ordered ** 1- Shrimp PoBoi 12 inch ''twas a big boo indeed All the fixings (Mayo, lettuce etc) 1- shrimp nuggets with fried rice The rice was flavorful The shrimp is the same shrimp in the sandwich so that was kind of redundant on my part lol whoops** All in all a good experience Hole in the wall but worth a try Like I've said before when you see the locals lining up in the cold for this food just stop and try it!

This place definitely did not disappoint. The chicken wings were perfectly fried, perfectly seasoned .very flavorful. The shrimp fried rice was very tasty as well. Large portions. Very reasonably price. Very friendly service. Definitely will be back.

Love Cajun Joes! This is my go-to place for party wings and rice! No more Manchu. I LOVE the chicken. So crispy. I've had a smoke sausage sandwich and shrimp poboy as well but my go to is the chicken wing plate. I can never choose between rice and fries so I just get both. The food is good and also very adorable. Big portions on plates, enough to share! You also get your food quickly and it's always hot and fresh. As far as complaints, the rice is burnt at times, also they never pick up the phone. It's no worries though because I recently went to get a 100 piece wing and it only took 10 min!

So this is the kind of place that is probably not for everyone. I was not too far away in the 9th Ward, and it was lunchtime, so I went on Yelp to try to find some good grub. Cajun Joe's came up. Their food is amazing. It is run by Asians and is extremely popular in the community. I waited in a line both to order and to receive my food. No problem. I ordered the smallest combination seafood order, which was one piece of fish (huge, by the way) and six shrimp. You have the option of ordering fried rice, which they do perfectly, and I highly recommend. A nice change from french fries. It is a huge amount of delicious food for a very reasonable price. So here is the part that might make people uncomfortable - - if I had to guess I would say that no one more Caucasian than I visited this restaurant today. Which I am fine with, but will be difficult for some others. I would absolutely go back in a heartbeat.

Everything fresh. Rice better than Manchu's. Only takes them 7-10 min to have your order ready.

Shrimp po boy, dressed. YUM. And be sure to eat that spicy sauce you see on the left hand side--soooooo good.

I tried the Burgundy Street seafood tacos also and the bite I took packed a tasty flavor. Three flour tortillas filled with grilled shrimp and crawfish tails, topped with cilantro, onions, spinach, roasted corn, and jalapeños, served with garlic butter for dipping. The service was phenomenal, the lady serving our table was truly delightful. I like the ambiance of the place, it's well lit during the day and offers various seating options. Dont let the exterior surroundings and neighborhood deter you from dining here…read more I booked a reservation for two on Open Table about a month prior to my visit. Read tons of reviews here on Yelp and some other social media information on this place and see it's a very popular spot. Street parking only which is a little scarce. Arrived at my reservation time of 1pm, and was seated promptly. Our server Semaj came over promptly made several recommendations to us. She was upbeat and friendly. We ordered drinks, then the entrees. Seafood platter and Crawfish Pasta add grilled shrimp. Entrees are about $25 and up. Food came out within about 20 minutes. Everything was good. The pasta was a bit spicy which I liked. Only negative's was the ketchup was not brought out timely for the fried seafood platter until it was almost gone and my drink wasn't refilled until we finished our meal. So a bit more attentiveness on our servers part and she would have received a larger tip. But her service otherwise was great! The food is good. Give them a try!

First, chargrilled oysters were delicious! They were piping hot and seasoned to perfection. I had seafood gumbo which was a solid 8. Being from Southern California, there is a bit of a difference. Our seafood gumbo has snow or king crab legs and is filled with more protein. Most N.O. restaurants only add shrimp + chicken + sausage. Though this one only had one small crab claw and little protein, I was excited to find an authentic roux. Greens were flavorful with a little kick. My Malibu rum and pineapple juice had a dehydrated pineapple on top and was refreshing. My friend ordered the fried chicken and enjoyed it. She was not a fan of the braised cabbage. She enjoyed the yams and cornbread which I don't eat. She also ordered some type of speciality drink, hurricane maybe?? Her eyes were blown away when the bill showed it was $30. Beware!! Overall, this was a good experience. I wish I got our server's name because she was very pleasant, patient, and helpful describing menu items (dark brown skin, glasses, and a light brown tint to a short cut hairdo...I think). Kudos to her and the manager who walked around checking on customers. Great service!

The things they can do with redfish especially are simply amazing. This is a long-established institution in a once not-so-great but now (of course) gentrifying part of town. It's a place with quality but not pretense; with service where the waitstaff does everything they should but is never patronizing or over the top. They get tourists here, understand, but it's really a place still for neighborhood locals and thankfully acts like it. It was opened I believe in 1978 and the vibe remains one somewhat from that era--very thankfully. Again, redfish or any broiled dish is the way to go . . . or the po'boys which are done right and rank amongst the city's very finest. Fried dishes can be more hit or miss which really, that's the state of fried seafood at even the places with great expertise on producing such. Same with sides: the mac n cheese is a notable offender in this regard, sometimes coming out cold, hard, and making you wonder what sort of building material it is and which cement plant produced it. But never mind: you're here for the fish and the fish won't disappoint. Hasn't in decades, after all.

Everyone was talking to their table mates, laughing with their friends, and nodding their heads affirming their enjoyment of their food. We stumbled upon J&J on Yelp while visiting from out of town for a volleyball tournament. The reviews were great, and the fact that it's a standalone, independent restaurant -- not a chain -- made it even more appealing. Since we were heading out of town that same day with no hotel room to return to, sitting down to eat simply wasn't an option for us. We had to make the tough call to find somewhere else.
