Black woman owned and a cute cozy place for cocktails and bites. Service was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful but our waitress Tyche was an absolutely gem and she provided us with quality service. Ambiance: it's a beautiful restaurant but the small room that we sat in could use some paint and repairs to help spruce up the signs of aging. Drinks: the mimosas came in 3 flavors-orange, pineapple, and cranberry. The orange and pineapple were very good and the liquor to juice ratio was spot on Food: My party enjoyed the DAUPHINE & LOUISA CHICKEN AND FRENCH TOAST. They raved that it was perfect. I ordered the DAUPHINE Catfish and Grits and I must say that I really enjoyed the fried catfish which came with a few grilled shrimps on top. The grits were a miss for me and after trying a few other spots, this grits was at my bottom pick but the catfish....my goodness! It was delicious! We also had a side of breakfast potatoes which were sautéed just right. Overall, I would say that this was a good time and I'm glad that we had the opportunity to support.

Ok My first time here and I felt that the hype may be different than what I thought. We made reservations but since it was the Essence fest it took forever to get here. So by the time we came it was past our reservations. Also, we waited a long time maybe around an hour in the lounge area just ordering drinks where I felt we could have just eaten because after our table was ready they said we could sit there when we were already sitting. They did have a good happy hour menu. However, blueberry lemon drop was very sweet, and the lemon drop. I felt that the drinks were not good but way on the sweeter side and not enough alcohol. For my food, I ordered the happy hour hot sausage taco and salmon. I felt that it could have been better. The tacos weren't all that great or cooked to profession like I thought they would be. I guess since I order just tacos it's really hard to say about the other food options which I heard is really good. So if I do come back to New Orleans and I come back here I will try I entrée instead. Overall, my experience this time was a 3/5. Also, it wasn't really modern and I felt that the bar was very small and tight and I didn't like the seating outside. I feel like it's more of a place to come hang out and just grab a drink, and enjoy happy hour if you do come. I highly recommend making reservations. -Marshay D.

Recently dined here on my trip to NOLA. I ordered the red fish, which came with asparagus and crawfish macaroni and cheese. The macaroni is actually what compelled me to order the fish, as I was unable to order it à la carte. No regrets. Everything was delicious. I also ordered the lavender infused drink "Do Ya Thang" and it was so refreshing. The music was also great and added to the ambiance. Our server, Jardi, was super attentive and made some great recommendations for us.

Visited NOLA, and we are always looking for newer places not too close to the quarter. After searching and digging, I came across this promising place and we were so happy! Made reservations for a Friday night at 7:30pm for two couples. Lovely drink menu. The blueberry lemon drop was very good! The Dauphine Catfish was a winner. Covered in creamy shrimp goodness. Fish was flavorful and crispy. A hug hit was the loaded fries. Curly fries!!! Topped with cheese and shrimps and more!! Another winner was the seafood ramen. A spaghetti noodle is used rather than tradition ramen so it is very hearty but flavorful. I don't remember the server's name but she was resourceful and did an amazing job. I loved the restroom wall paper!! Nice and clean too. Can't wait to come back.

You can never go wrong with stopping at JusTini's's to grab a cocktail. I love the blues in my cup drink. I get it every time I go there. It's a number one seller for me! The tacos are amazing. They're even better at happy hour for a cheaper price, but overall whoever thought to make a hot sausage tacos was a genius so tasty and the steak tacos are to die for.

We went on Tuesday and got to experience happy hour and movie night! Though the crowd starting coming in, our waitress handled it well! The vibes were awesome!

I met with a group of my sorority sisters here-it was recommended by one of them. I had never heard of it & was pleasantly surprised to learn its a Black owned business. The place was packed but we had a reservation and had a table in an area off to the side-the decor aesthetics were super cute. The service was decent-took a while to come back & check on us in between ordering. The star of the show were the salmon tacos-DELICIOUS! I also had truffle fries before my main dish which was a ribeye. It was cooked to perfection! Rarely do I ask for a medium steak & not have to send it back for being overcooked...Justini's nailed it! To top it off the peach mango lemon drop was perfect as well. Im already plotting on when im coming back with my husband

Super cute spot. Make reservations. Sat quickly and our server was very attentive. The food was great!! Very nice portions. Ordered the catfish w/ blackened shrimp. The fish was crunchy and flaky, the seafood rice was well seasoned and the salad was fresh. Drinks were tasty as well.

We celebrated our girlsmas at Justinis Service to be seated was a bit slow, stood there for a while before we were able to be seated. Make sure at least half the party is there to be seated. Our server at our table was very friendly and had good conversation. The food took a while but once it came out the food was really good we tried different plates and were definitely satisfied. The music and atmosphere was cool and comfortable very intimate. The drinks were good and creative and we had a great time Will be back!

I've been to Justini's more times than I can count but always forget to leave a review, so let's change that because they deserve it! I went yesterday for National Taco Tuesday, but let's be real, I was mainly there for the Matcha Martini. I'm addicted to matcha and when I saw it on their Instagram, it literally lit up my world. First thing I asked when we sat down was if it was available and YES it was! I'd rate the Matcha Martini a 9/10. It tasted more like cookies and cream than the earthy matcha I'm used to, but it was still rich, creative, and super enjoyable. Appetizers: * Clouet St. Salmon Bites - 10/10. Huge portions and that glaze? Chef's kiss. Sweet, savory, and perfectly cooked. * Rampart Ribeye Tacos - 8/10. They were good, but the steak didn't wow me like the rest of the meal did. Entrée: I got the N. Johnson Jerk Burger with St. Claude Truffle Fries and LISTEN... 20/10. Hands down, one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was huge, juicy, perfectly spiced, and packed with flavor. The toppings, jalapeños, sauce, red onions, cheese, everything worked together so well. I had to save half for lunch the next day because it was that big. Drinks Flight: They offer a 3-drink flight with a lychee martini, spicy chili martini, and mixed berry martini. * Spicy Peach Rita - 10/10. Spicy, bold, unique. My fave. * Mixed Berry Rita- 8/10. Fruity and refreshing. * Lychee Rita - 7/10. A little too sweet for me but still tasty. As always, the service was great, and the vibe at Justini's never disappoints. It's intimate, stylish, and Black-owned...what more could you ask for? Justini's is truly one of my favorite spots in the city and I'll always recommend it to anyone looking for good food, great drinks, and solid vibes. If you haven't been, go! And if you have... go back. Especially for their all day Happy Hour on Wednesdays!

The food is decent, creative specials, including cocktails. Service was on the slow side; the staff was having a good time behind the bar, maybe that's why. The spicy spring cocktail we ordered was too sweet for our taste. The bathroom needed attention, the seat on the toilet bowl was barely attached.

I finally got to try this spot for my friends birthday! My friends and I came here on a Saturday for brunch. It wasn't that packed when we got here, we did have reservations. We were sat in a separate room close to the courtyard so I really didn't get to see the restaurant. It was a little warm in there, it was almost like they needed decor and some cute curtains to block the sun. my back was sweating. They finally turned on the ac and it started getting cooler. It was also a very humid day so that didn't help. We sat by the entrance so we felt all the air through the side room. On a positive note I do want to say that they even personalized the birthday girl's menu to show it was her birthday! I thought that was a cute touch! For food we were going to start with avocado toast but the avocados weren't ready, sadly. The waitress apologized and was upfront. Im happy they didn't just try to make it so much respect. For a drink I ended up getting a lemon drop and then my brunch meal consisted of the steak tacos! If you know me you know I love tacos! The lemon drop was fantastic and the tacos were delicious!! I only got one drink because by the time the waitress asked if we wanted another my food had already come out. That made me sad, but it was alright we were going to another spot after. Towards the end the waitress got pulled and then a really nice lady, Jessica, came to see if we needed anything else, helped us close out. Super super nice! I def want to come back to try their happy hour! Also, get the tacos!!!

Yummy food and good ambiance. The jerk burger was amazing, fries weren't very truffly but had good flavor. The lychee margarita was the star of the show. My friend couldn't stop raving about her wings. The waitress was sweet and informative. I'd go back

Four delicate leaves of butter lettuce with a creamy dressing embrace tiny succulent squares of perfectly fried tofu smothered in Buffalo sauce. It's divine and you should order these no matter what. The other remarkable attribute of Bar Brine is the service. We had the sweetest waitress and she was totally understanding when my friend sent her frozen drink back because it was more strong than sweet (she's a bit of a wimp oh well). She was also very attentive and helpful with the menu. I love Sneaky Pickle, when during the day there's plenty of vegan lunch options and a bright, sunny dining room. At night, Bar Brine turns sultry, boozy and edgy/romantic. Perfect for a date or group of friends (though admittedly the acoustics reminded me of when it was Maurepas years ago and how loud it was in there). My friend and I couldn't stop going on about the Buffalo tofu and naturally were excited for the main course, grilled trumpet mushrooms over grits. Unfortunately, this is nowhere in the league of the tofu dish and it may be because I don't love rubbery textures, but I found it bland. The grits are coarse and not too flavorful either. Salt helped but I can't recommend this entree. I'll definitely return for doubles on the Buffalo tofu and hopefully will try the tempeh reuben or cauliflower vegan options next time. Also cool because your vegan-dubious friends can order meaty fare here if they don't trust and believe that the Buffalo tofu ranks up there with the best things you'll eat in this town.

I explained the situation to the bartender and asked if I could leave my ID and card with them while I quickly went home a few blocks away to get my charger. They agreed, so I left and came right back. When I returned, there was an older Black man in the bar who I hadn't seen before. He appeared to be homeless or struggling with substance use. Because we were both Black, staff seemed to assume we were together, which felt odd. He asked me to buy him a beer, and I agreed, just trying to be kind because I understand how difficult things can be. While I was sitting there trying to charge my phone so I could access my payment, a different bartender--a blonde woman--suddenly started yelling at me to leave, also directing the same hostility toward the man. I kept trying to explain that I just needed a few minutes to charge my phone so I could pay my tab, but she continued to berate me and told me to get out. Because of that, I wasn't able to settle my bill as I had intended. I wouldn't return to that bar again, even though it's close to my home. I'm not from here, but the experience felt deeply uncomfortable and, honestly, racially charged.
