However, I was charged an additional ~$400 in fees to transport my possessions up/down stairs that were not disclosed in initial messages, and was only revealed after the move was performed, too late to dispute or negotiate after the work was performed. In the contract there is no mention of stair surcharges either, so it feels like the individual movers that performed the work added this on top of the contracted fee. The movers did not speak English fluently which added to the confusion over payment and breakdown of costs. Overall the job was performed as expected but the final costs were way more than expected.

The biggest bump in the road was something that was completely my fault, but unfortunately, my sofa did not make it up the stairwell and had to go back to storage making it a very costly move as the drive time became much more expensive. They had really tried to make it work and sadly, my sofa didn't come apart so they had no option to even break it down. My only feedback would be that I had wished they had told me the estimated cost of moving the sofa back into storage as I probably could have gotten partway to a new sofa. My move with Steve's company, Pacific Packing and Moving went very well! I had a really tough move…read moreas I live up 3 flights of steps, I have a lot of stuff, and tons of artwork that needed careful wrapping and handling. I ended up having a 2-day move. Steve and his assistants were so funny and they were quick and professional. I loved listening to them joke around in their Caribbean patois. It made the move more entertaining! When it was time to unload at the storage unit, I watched steve load many dollies, 4 wheelers, and carts with the experience of a master jenga player. He knew how to load each with a max of things that was easy to roll without anything falling off. I was super impressed. Inside my storage unit, things were packed in very well so that they left me a lot of room for me move around in between the boxes inside while the placements of everything in there made great sense. I highly recommend this company.

They arrived around 10am and were able to remove everything from my storage in an hour. Arrived at my place and was able to unload their truck in an hour. Overall they were quick with the moving. Very nice and friendly. Only thing was the price didn't match what I was originally told but I didn't complain because the service was great. I had planned to give them a bigger tip based on the price per hour I was told but when I was told how much it was it cut into their tips. I would recommend them and will use them again.

Other companies will quote you one price but after it is all done, will charge you more, and it is always more, they never surprise you with less. Prior to the move, I discussed pricing and payment terms directly with the owner/manager and confirmed the agreed-upon amount. However, when the movers arrived, they immediately demanded cash up front and refused to provide any services unless payment was made on the spot. This directly contradicted the prior agreement. After loading the couches, they demanded an additional $100 that had never been disclosed or authorized. The situation felt coercive and inappropriate. In addition to the payment dispute, the movers caused multiple damages: * One of the couches was damaged. * The garage door was damaged. * A component of the security system on the back door was broken. Furthermore, one of the workers raised his voice and yelled at my wife and daughter. This behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. When I contacted the company to request information regarding their insurance coverage for the damages, they refused to provide any details. This company demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution.
