Calderon's own website as of 12/22/19, www.caldrontiresseaside.com shows the wrong address (when did they move?) as 1632 Del Monte Blvd., Seaside instead of correct address of 2240 Del Monte Ave., Monterey, the wrong phone number as 831-394-1001 instead of correct number 831-646-2025, and says they are open six days a week Monday through Saturday from 9-6, when they are in fact closed Saturdays. "No appointment necessary." That made for a wasted trip this weekend, and they lost me as a potential customer. read more

I went to a local car shop that specializes in Mercedes and smart car and I had already spent so much money just for a diagnostic and the previous I went to didn't even want to use my warranty. Anyways long story short I was told that my front brakes and rotors needed to be replaced, my friend recommended me to Calderon tires and I ended up paying $233 instead of the other place in seaside that wanted to charge me $500 crazy. I just left there and I ran home to write this review. So last night I was heading towards the gas station to vacuum out my car. I was planning on going to Los Angeles today which is about a five and a half hour drive from here. On the way to the gas station I hit a curb and totally messed up the rim of my tire. I was so worried because all you could hear was air spewing out of my tire. I headed back home on a donut and canceled all of my plans for LA. The next morning I called around to see what I should do and I checked yelp for tire places I just so happened to find this place. I called and asked if he could check it out and he said I could bring it right in. I did and he said it would take him about 30 minutes to fix. That includes him bending the rim back in place and reconnecting the rubber to the rim. So I went to Starbucks and came back and he had the tire ready!! so he rotated my tires for me put the messed up/now fixed tire back on, but in the back since my car is front wheel drive and put the tired from the back onto the front he put the donut back in under the car... he only charged me $20 (yes 2-0)and refused to tip I have never been through a tire shop so fast with so much hospitality ever in my life. I would recommend this place to anyone. Just simply amazing. read more

Got a bad flat while vacationing in Pebble Beach for the weekend. AAA was useless as we forgot our wheel lock and he didn't have a universal lock. This place took us in an hour before closing and he even told us about the nails in our back tire. Patched everything and had us on our way in less than 20 minutes. I sat in the car with my two pups. I was recommended by another auto repair shop to come here to fix our flat tire. The guy was super cool and friendly. He was efficient and explained what he was going to do. He found the nail and inspected it to see if it could be patched. Thankfully since it wasn't the sidewall of the tire, it could be patched. He told us that a lot of auto repair shops will trick people In telling them that they need a new tire even though they don't. He said as long as the sidewall isn't damaged, it should be patchable. The reason why they can't patch damages to the sidewall is because that part of the tire is too flimsy and thin and will tear again if it was just patched. Anyways, he helped patch the hole for us and it cost $25. read more

Wow where to start.Well first offme and my Wife were looking for some rims and tires for our car.We came here hoping to find a good deal on some.My Girl found some she liked and asked the guy if they would fit on our car.He said yes and put them on so we could see.They appeared to be fine but for some reason they said they could not do a alignment.They told us to take it to the Salinas Location but not tell them where we bought them from. I thought that was fishy but my Wife insisted she liked the rims and she would try else where to get the alinment.The Salinas Location was unable to do the Alignment also so we did not know what to do.My Wife said she would take it to another place to try but i guess she was unsuccessful.A month later i was getting a smog check and was notified the inner tires were all down to the wire.One bump away from a blow out.My Children are always in the car and i thank God Nothing happen. I had gotten a flat the night before and was driving on my spare tire. I also needed to replace 2 balding tires. I've been to Calderon's tires before and they've always taken care of me on the spot. This time was no different. Jose worked with me to figure out what to do for the best value. I got 2 new tires and one used and kept my one semi-used tire. He rotated the old one to the back and I got out of there for $240 with 3 tires and no appointment needed. This place saved my life! I had a horrible experience at Monterey bowling lanes and came out to my car to find two tires slashed. in a desperate attempt to find a tire shop at almost 6 PM on a Saturday night I called Calderon tires. The gentleman who answered the phone told me they would be closing in five minutes but after I told him my situation and that I am not from the area he was more than accommodating to wait for us. We arrived in the tow truck at 7:17 PM One hour and 17 minutes after they closed and were greeted by the two employees of the shop. They were waiting for us and did not leave they stuck to their word. I don't remember the name of the two gentlemen but they were saviors in my book. It's very hard to find a tire shop or any shop that closes on a Saturday night at 6 PM that is willing to wait for you and help you out of a bind. I could go on for another week about these guys and how accommodating they were but I can only recommend them and hope everybody calls them. They are top-notch service, five star and beyond! These clowns need to get better tools...I bought 4 new tires from them and left the store...My truck was all over the road...I went to an alignment shop the next day and the person working on my truck said my alignment was on the mark..He said the reason your truck was all over the road was tire inflation tire #1 35 psi #2 40 psi #3 55 psi #4 70 psi...He also had to balance one tire and said the lugs were all way too tight or way too loose...Calderon tires gets a big thumbs down....You could be there next victim...You have been warned!!! read more
