I went in for a simple oil change, no other customers in the waiting area, and somehow I'm supposed to believe that it takes an hour and a half to change the oil. Expecting to only pay for a $50 oil change with a coupon i was shocked to find to flush my coolant it's $169.99. Absolutely ridiculous and absurd pricing for the services. It's hard to say clearly and shortly what happened. Boiled down, my SUV was one in a few hundred thousand that had an issue that couldn't be accurately diagnosed. Caliber tried so many times and so many things and wasn't able, in the end, to repair my SUV. During this process, 6 weeks long or longer, I was angry because I thought it was incompetence. Towards the end of this ordeal, the manager was coming each morning to my house to get my suv, take it for work for the day then bring it back in time for me to pick my son up from school. It ran but would periodically loose all power and shut off. They never diagnosed it nor repaired it. After the Nissan Mechanics and the d dealership were really unable to figure it out, I traded it and bought a Suburban. My point telling this story is that Zane at the Flower Mound location made a lifelong customer here. He literally never gave up nor lost patients even when I did. Thank you Zane. My issue is not with the quality of the work done, it's what I consider predatory pricing. My truck was in their shop for a new radiator. While the work was being done, the mechanic found some play in the water pump. Their finding was legitimate. My issue came from my discussion with the service advisor and the fact they wanted another $600 in labor for the water pump. At the point the quote was created, all the mechanic had to deal with was 2 hose clamps and 9 bolts. The service advisor told me the mechanic told her to quote the highest labor possible. This is not the way to get repeat business. Had I been given a reasonable labor quote to have it done while they had everything apart, I would have had them replace the water pump. Instead of additional business, I declined the service and it is doubtful I will return due to the way this job was quoted. read more

This place is clean, and has kind, respectful kind staff. They went above and beyond, to make sure I understood everything and even gave me a digital display(that was texted to me) of how the car was doing. The bathrooms were clean, waiting area was comfortable, and coffee was delicious(Starbucks machine). And, to top it off, without me even asking, they cleaned out some mud that had built up on my husband's sun roof, and explained to me that that was why it was leaking water into my car. I have been going to this location since 2020 I have put 40,000 miles on my vehicle since then since 2020 they have not change my air filter change my transmission fluid or showed me my differential fluid. Today I went in and ask them to change my transmission fluid and my differential fluid and explained to them that I'm going to be pulling a camper to Tennessee, I waited 1.5 hours when they brought me my truck back it had a simple oil change done to it when I asked the service advisor what happened to the rest of it? I got a blank stare. I asked him to go on the computer and see what they have done to my track in the last 3 1/2 years and it's just oil changes and a battery replacement if you want your vehicle done properly so that it will last you like it should do not go to this establishment! They've lost our two vehicles. We were faithful loyal customers, when I calmly told them that I wouldn't be coming back, they could care less. read more

I have just moved, and I always find it hard to get a new auto maintenance location for my 2008 Saab 9-3 convertible. This time I was very fortunate, in that I found Caliber Auto Care quite close to my new home. I called and made an appointment for normal maintenance and was immediately surprised. When I called and asked if they could do my normal maintenance, I asked a few specific questions. I individual wasn't able to answer the questions directly, so put me on hold to ask the head mechanic before answering the question. I was very impressed that she didn't try to answer what she was not qualified to answer. I was able to make an appointment for about an hour later and when I entered the facility it was clean, welcoming and had a comfortable waiting area. My car was immediately taken in for service and was about a 45-minute wait for completion. The best surprise was the cost. It was very reasonable, and they had checked all of the normal filters and fluid levels and found them to be in satisfactory conditions and levels, I am very impressed and will back when my car needs additional service. Liked how they took photos to show the customer what the issue are along with the codes from the diagnostic test. Ended up also doing a tire change here as I did not notice that the treads was so low that the steel wires were showing. Super friendly and easy going staff. I have never posted a review of any kind but feel I need to share the experience we had at Caliber on FM 407 in Flower Mound. Just a few days ago, my 83 year old mother in law paid $6000 to have some needed repairs done on her car and to make sure she felt safe driving it. Less than a mile after leaving Caliber, she had to pull the car over into a parking lot. Luckily I was not far behind her and was able to meet her. Two people from Caliber did meet us in the parking lot, took the car back, made the repair, and returned it to her the next morning. However, this caused her much anxiety that completely could have been prevented. We also paid $2000 to Caliber in October to have the A/C repaired in a car we planned to donate to someone in need. Yesterday, my husband was backing the car out and realized the A/C wasn't working. He called Caliber and Zane spoke with both my husband and me and told us it would cost another $800 to fix the A/C! He agreed to reduce the cost a few hundred dollars but we will never take another vehicle to Caliber. Please beware! Caliber has lost the business of our entire family. I will only take my car to the trusted dealership I've used for the past 10 years - never again to Caliber. read more

Amazing!!! Service was outstanding! I love the comfort of the waiting area! Chairs were very comfortable and I enjoyed having the warm atmosphere. I had my 4 yr old daughter with me and even though the play area (which is also awesome) was closed due to covid, she was able to spread out on the clean floor and play and color her books. They even offered her hot cocoa! Money has been tight at home recently and I rely on my car to get to work.
