Last year, a women was parked just behind my garage exit in a RED ZONE. I was driving my car and LIGHTLY SCRATCHED her car. When I got out to look, the was a very small dent in her rear quarter panel. My car had absolutely no damage. Witness looked a both cars and said, AH, NO BIGGIE. Knowing the incident was minor, I volunteered to pay for her repairs. She and her husband took their vehicle to Calibre Collision in Temecula and the quote was nearly $800. I was very upset but decided, still, that it was better than involving our insurance companies. Over a week later, Caliber Collision then says the damage was $1,700 dollars and sent photos of the car with the panel removed and her interior smashed, crumpled, nearly the entire interior was pushed into the center line of her vehicle. I absolutely did not cause that kind of damage! I went to Caliber Collision and the representative was stunned to find no damage to my car. I spoke with Caliber staff many times but they steadfastly stuck to $1,700 in damages which was determined impossible by an accident investigator, two witnesses and most of all ME, THE DRIVER. I gathered 4-5 estimates before going with California Auto Collision. I did so based on trust and the "gut" feeling I received from estimator/front office guy Scott. Scott examined my car thoroughly and he explained the repair process in detail whereas other firms I visited were FAR less personable and transparent. The only caveat I'd give is to make sure and specify exactly what you want. Be clear about that. In their zeal to save me money (they knew that I and not an insurance co. was paying for the repairs), CAC cut a corner on a minor detail. As it turned out, that detail woulda' cost me $250 more. Fact is I would have gladly paid it. That's because I LOVE my car and wanted her to look like NEW. So, that's why I say be clear about what you want. CAC can do it! They are good at their craft and fully capable. One last thing - The HIDDEN GEM here is a guy called Tony. He washed, waxed and detailed my car inside and out! It came back to me sparkling!! Unfortunately, I was involved in a rear accident on 11-18-22. AAA had my car towed to Temecula Accurate Auto Care. I did send an email to Scott, one of the service manager for Temecula Accurate Auto, and I told him my situation and he recommended Caliber Collision, which was 100 yards away from his shop. So I was a bit hesitant at first and so, I went with my gut and decided to give them a try since they were so close. It was the best decision I've made. Zach was my assigned service advisor. He answered any questions I had. Very professional. The staff in general was great! Facility is clean. Accidents happen, I get it. I searched the Internet for hours looking for the best auto collision repair that I could possibly get in the Temecula and Murrieta area. I came up with my top three. I toured their facilities, got estimates and talked to the repair specialists. After visiting the top three I know Scott at California Auto Collision was the man for the job to done to my expectation.
