We ordered in the drive thru, asked if the beans were vegetarian (only black beans are) then ordered a burrito with only egg, cheese and potatoes and a breakfast burrito with extra bacon. Went through the drive through and the gentleman who was on the window was really nice. I made my order of Machaca with egg burrito, no tortilla with sour cream and guacamole. I don't mind paying a little bit extra for sour cream and guacamole but seven dollars was a little outrageous especially for getting less than a couple ounces of each. read more

The food here is actually way better than I expected. Really good when you're in a hurry but don't want that classic fast food. I eat here often because I work near it and I love that they are always open! The service really sets them apart! I keep forgetting how nasty there food has gotten. I don't know if it's new ownership or new workers but man the food just doesn't hit like it used to. The crispy chicken tacos are just gross they put way too much chicken which can be too much and the chicken just tastes eh. I couldn't even finish my tacos I tried, just couldn't. Went here for Taco Tuesday and got charged double price. I order 7 Tacos for Taco Tuesday. Lady asked me if I wanted mini tacos. I said no, I want regular tacos. She asked again, you want mini tacos? Got my receipt and it showed 7 regular tacos at $5.30 each and 1 mini taco at $2.50. What? Taco Tuesday is $2.50. I asked what happened and lady said she asked me twice if I wanted mini tacos. Yeah, but you didn't say mini tacos are Taco Tuesday. Look at the sign in the window. it just says tacos for Taco Tuesday. What the hell is a mini taco? This is just misleading. Fine, I'll own up to the mistake. Then why did you charge me for an 8th taco and then this one is a mini taco? So at some point you knew I wanted taco tuesday on a tuesday. What is going on here? She then says, fine I will take back the taco and refund you. I kid you not, she took the order back and removed a taco. ????? Then handed me $2.50 in cash. Lady, that's terrible customer service. Plus, not how you do math. $2.50 plus tax, you owe me another $0.21. But you seemed quite upset at this point and I am done talking to you. I ordered a regular carne asada burrito - I started eating the burrito and all I tasted was rice and beans ( and salsa I added) as I progressed thru the burrito I think I found maybe five very small strips of beef - it tasted like a burrito of beans and rice - no meat - $14 seems kinda pricy for a flour tortilla, rice, beans and salsa ( I also asked for them to add jalapeños - which the order taker acknowledged - but found none in my burrito). I'm not sure if they tip themselves a $1 if you pay with card or what but every time I payed with card it's ALWAYS a $1 more on my bank statement than what was printed on the receipt. Unfortunately, I ate mine up so quick I forgot to snap a photo of it. The super burrito has the works like sour cream, rice, beans, and your choice of meat. The menu has plenty of vegetarian options. My kid is a vegetarian and loves getting the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans on the side. I love they provide all you can eat chips and salsa with every purchase. It might not sound like a big deal but lots of places always want to charge extra for it. I recommend purchasing one of their juice drinks. If you get a combo meal, the drink comes with the meal. Despite the many negative reviews my family and I have eaten here 3 times. The food has always been good and the prices are about average for restaurants of this style. They've always been friendly and have good customer service. This restaurant is family friendly and has a comfortable atmosphere! Don't hesitate to go in and eat. As I am eating my half lol and behold. Beans. Luckily I caught it before I swallowed it. Called them, they couldn't understand as I don't speak Spanish. Had a family call who speaks Spanish they were willing to replace it. When I go to do so he wants to give me an issue about only bringing back half the burrito. You know what you can do with that half a burrito. As if I'm driving a truck back and forth in an attempt to get free food. I could have died because you didn't want to double check no beans. When this place first opened, I originally gave California Burrito five stars for convenience and for not being a typical, commercial fast food restaurant. The food is good, but NOT five stars. It is convenient to have drive thru, especially with the pandemic. I was pleasantly surprised they had the GrubHub option. We ordered via Yelp/GrubHub while we were 10 minutes away. When we arrived, there were four cars in front of us in the drive thru line. Not a problem, but when we got to the front of the line, they still had us waiting for 10 minutes as though we ordered while we were there. No sense having GrubHub if you're going to be that inefficient. We might as well have ordered when we arrived. read more
