We have had the best experience ever so far with the designers of Calimingo Pools, their design team is next level. Mike has been our contact person & goes over all the financial stuff, while Adam has been designing our pool & spa. Then making incredible changes when we have new ideas! They're super nice, responsive & such incredible designers, they came over looks & measured the space then magically created these designs. I thought to myself did they take drone shots? I didn't see him take any, but how did they know what an ariel shot of my backyard would look like? It's so cool, then Mike has been awesome with the financial side. He's talked us through everything without being a salesman at all! He says if you want to save wait on this part, take out this, maybe change this or just get a pre made fire pit we can install that. It's so great because we have done tons of construction to our house over the past 12 years, we've done our kitchen, flipped the layout, added bathrooms, moved laundry & done a huge addition of 2 bedrooms on the back of the house which is how we have that big patio cover. We've used so many different contractors, tradesmen & designers, but never had such a great experience! We've actually had so many shady guys take advantage of us, pull the wrong permits to try & sneakily pocket more of our money, we have had guys even take off & disappear after we paid too much upfront. But Mike insured they'd never do anything like that & only requires a super low amount upfront, I was shocked by that! He also said they only recommend the best most reliable contractors. They just seem like such a great company, it's been the best construction experience we've ever had so far & I can't wait to get started on the construction to make these incredible designs a reality! :) read more

Jesse and Proscapes did our new pool and hardscaping project in our backyard. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Jesse is very attentive and has a great eye for design. He is reliable, always responds to questions, and even before we committed to the project was a partner in our design plans. Jesse manages the project from start to finish and his crews were all great to work with. They were respectful, hard-working, and consistently left a clean job site. The work was top notch. We have had our pool in place for a year (I lagged getting to this review) and have had no issues with the pool whatsoever. Our family uses the pool and jacuzzi a lot, so I know Jesse and his crew did a solid installation as we are constantly running the pool/heater/etc. We had one small issue with a light that went out. This was a manufacturer issue with the Pentair light (which was brand new), and Jesse and Edgar (his main partner) acted right away to contact Pentair and exercise the warranty to get the repair. Jesse lives up to his word of ensuring the project is to the customers satisfaction - even long after the job has been completed. I would recommend Proscapes and Jesse to anyone wanting high quality design, expert craftsmanship, and fabulous customer service at a fair price. The kids were heavily lobbying for a pool. We did our homework and we're very careful when selecting the company that would do our pool. Calimingo Pools has a stellar reputation wherever you look not to mention tons of information on the company. More than anyone else we found. It was easy to make the decision especially after engaging with several other companies. Needless to say the entire process was made as painless as building a pool can be thanks to the clear path that Calimingo Pools set forth for completing my project. One thing I particularly liked was that the estimates are extremely broken down. They give you the price for each individual line item. For example the pool equipment had pricing for each component and the pool shell itself was broken down by the price of the rebar, the price of the shot Crete, the price of the coping. Everything was a separate price all the way through the landscaping. We didn't see that in any of the other bids for the other contractors. A special thank you to our designer Kam for being patient with us and coming up with a perfect design for our family and Russell for holding our hand through the build process and making it the easiest relationship we've ever had with a contractor. I hired Proscapes based on a referral from a friend. Jesse sketched up a good idea for my yard and so we rolled with it. During the process tensions grew and before long Jesse and I did'nt see eye to eye on nearly everything; from scheduling to excuses. We got nose to nose almost every step of the way; you could say that him and I had a mutual dislike for each other. That being said, now that everything is finished I can say that he has taken that good idea he sketched up to the next level...I've had multiple people roll up and say that it feels like they are at a resort...no bullshxt. If you want someone who can design something from structures to hardscape to colors and plants, I would say that Jesse is the guy. Before we hired Jesse and his team, we had consultations with multiple designers and different contractors to get an idea of what we were in for because we had never done any major work on our house. We got Mr. Jesse's from an Advertisement channel to remodel our backyard. During the initial meeting, Mr. Jesse seemed to have knowledge working on such projects. Although Mr. Jesse's estimate far exceeded other contractor's estimates, we decided to go forward with his service. However, the problem started when Mr. Jesse failed to monitor and supervise his workers on the site. Instead of focusing on our project and dedicating time to be present at the site, a reasonable expectation of any homeowner to have the contractor attend and supervise the progress of any projects at all stages in order to deliver the quality of job promised, Mr. Jesse neglected his duties and heavily relied on his workers to do the project, and he only remotely checked on his workers through Face Time. Because of Mr. Jesse's unwillingness to fulfill his duty to manage and oversee the work, my wife and I had to go beyond our way and engage in the day-to-day management of work and look for details Mr. Jesse couldn't see through Face Time. Mr. Jesse would only show up to demand payments. At all times, Mr. Jesse was trying to up-sell us; we never felt that he was being honest with us because he consistently tried to "add things" and charge us extra. However, the most dissatisfying and disappointing part of our experience with Mr. Jesse and the service he rendered comes from the poor quality of work and end results. Not only did Mr. Jesse overlook many details and grossly neglected our project throughout its different phases, the end results were nothing like what he had promised us initially. Sadly, the quality of work is less than industry standards, falling apart, and way below our reasonable expectations. (Cracked freshly poured concrete, peeled what supposed to be stained wood, rusty what supposed to be Powder coating, Pool Coping not being water sealed, trees are dying within less than six month being planted, etc...) After several attempts that we made to request his compliance with our agreement, Mr. Jesse kept demanding to we write him a "good Yelp review" which we refused for the obvious reasons stated above. In addition, when I asked Mr. Jesse to come by for a final walk as promised when we signed the K, he demanded to schedule first a Video shoot with Videographer first , then he would consider having the walk through. We had to seek another contractor at added cost, to identify the root of the poor workmanship in order fix Mr. Jesse's incomplete job I strongly advise every homeowner to be extremely careful with Proscapes and/or Jesse Escalera if they are thinking of using his services. We believe that Mr. Jesse's primary motivation with this project was not to complete the project that we were excited about satisfactorily but to make as much profit as possible. read more

JE Proscape is worth the investment. Jesse is very professional and flexible to work with. Our concept was hard to visualize in the beginning: TV, fire pit, BBQ area with bells and whistles and landscaping. Jesse gave suggestions that would be cost effective and gave us a killer design. From start to finish it was seamless. They had made it easy for us to communicate with them and any changes we had was very easy. (We had requested couple of changes and it was not a big deal for them) All requests were dealt with in a timely manner. Any questions we had was responded in no more than a day later. They are truly perfectionists. Everyone that came to our home were great and worked hand in hand. We couldn't be happier with our choice! My wife is hard to please and absolutely loves the outcome. Jesse built their credibility not just with the reviews but also they have been featured in different media. We can truly say they are the best! The whole family enjoys the backyard. We searched and searched for a company that could design the backyard of our dreams and when we discovered Calimingo... we knew they had the creativity to make us something that would fit our family's needs. We actually had a great time chatting it up with our designer and loved how the design team took what we said we wanted and turned it into something that could actually be built! Now for the crazy part.... they actually built what they designed and it turned out exactly like the rendering. There were a couple hiccups due to covid as far as permits and HOA, but the Calimingo team did everything they could to expedite permits and handle HOA issues in a timely manner. Once the paperwork was all squared away they blew threw the build. It was fun checking out the progress every day! We had an excellent experience with our back yard design. First of all, after notifying him of our interest via email, Jessie got back to us the next day. He said he would meet with us the day after that and he was there and at the time he said. I don't know about you, but meeting dates and times is not what I have experience with others. We told him a little of what we had in mind and the type of "look" we wanted. He walked the prospective landscaping project with us and told us he would have a plan for us to review and go over with him the following week. Again, right on time. The Plan was very specific. When we were satisfied with the costs and the plan, he was ready to schedule us - asap. Jesse was able to move us up on the schedule based on the type of weather we were having. Basically, 2 weeks earlier than planned. Jesse and Team came out on the date planned and worked very conscientiously and very professionally - they worked the design and landscape as if it was theirs. Jesse kept us informed of the progress and provided us updates on any changes. Jesse also let us know if trade-offs had to be made and why. Also, Jesse was very flexible as we would add or delete to what he was doing or was planned. Jesse was easy to reach and very open to questions and providing recommendations. Overall, an excellent experience and we are extremely pleased with the work - the yard and backyard design look great! I had already interviewed a few contractors and Jessie...being a friend of the family..promised a job above anything we could have imagined...his concept was awesome but it definitely was not executed with any quality..we spent our life savings..needless to say I have spent over $40,000 to fix his mistakes and we keep finding major problems...he did try to correct some of the problems....pool was redone 3 times...fireplace as well..artificial turf as well..when this could not be corrected it was time to have him removed from the property...we too are self employed and would never leave a customer unhappy and give off such an arrogant attitude or blame our employees.... read more

Jesse is the ultimate design artist. We hired him to do a complete front and back yard remodel. He was the only contractor that came to see my space that didn't ask me to tell him what I wanted and where to put it. Jesse looked at my space and asked what sort of features I wanted and then went to work on his vision. The final result was simply amazing! The job was not without complications, but that is actually where Jesse shined as he made sure everything was exactly right before he said the work was completely finished. I have complete respect for how Jesse operates his business as he could easily walk away after getting his final check but is far from that type of contractor.
