Tried this for lunch through delivery. The food arrived fairly quickly and was nice and hot. Got the "Don't Touch My Protein" (homemade rigatoni, ragu bolognese (beef, pork, and lamb), and parmesan). For a small charge, you can customize with an extra portion size, extra sauce, homemade focaccia, extra protein (chicken or meatballs), or veggies (broccoli, mozzarella, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes). You can also add red pepper flakes and parmesan for free. I went with the extra portion size, mushrooms, and red pepper flakes. The rigatoni was a little thick and firmer than al dente. The meal was very hearty and flavorful, with a good mix of the pasta, meat sauce, and mushrooms. The red pepper flakes that came on the side gave it a nice little kick. Call Me Pasta added some focaccia with the delivery, and it was pretty good. The next time I ordered for delivery, I would consider ordering the bread, too. read more

I have been coming to Call Me Pasta since it used to be Fluem Pasta (RIP) and then Pastagram (RIP) though this was the first time I have returned since the pandemic started. I noticed that the layout of the space had changed-- gone were few tables and the long narrow space and in its place was a larger menu and a smaller waiting space as the staff member explained to me that Call Me Pasta was now more of a takeout and pasta factory for their sister restaurant, Sola Pasta Bar in SoHo. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Like Stravinsky ($11.95) and the Bring Me to Capri ($12.95); the former was rigatoni alla vodka and the latter was spaghetti al limone. I really liked the citrusy bite that the spaghetti al limone gave me, but I would have loved some parm and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes, but Call Me Pasta was sadly out of both. The staff did give us an extra portion of free bread though, which made for a nice snack on our walk to the ferry. read more

Every time I give myself over to carbs and order, I'm very happy because their pastas are always nicely cooked, and the sauces are great. The only downsides to Call Me Pasta are the frequent name changes (lol) and they often are out of parm cheese, or red pepper flakes, or bread. I lovely the newish Laurel and Hardy sauce, the Alfredo is also good, and I just had the Arrabbiata sauce for the first time and loved it. In my experience you can go wrong with any dish here. The first time I went, Mike highly recommended that I order the spaghetti and meatballs, so I went with his recommendation. Everything is homemade fresh in-house. I tried the rigatoni with ragu sauce the first time and 2nd time the grandma, which is spaghetti with meatballs. The pasta is nicely homemade and perfectly cooked at dente. But you get too little pasta, despite the fact it is cooked the way pasta should be. The meat sauce is good. FiDi really grabs you by the (blankety) here. Two or three dollars less and I am happy. Not this. I also got tiramisu and it was also good. However for $7, I will not run back to get this again. Friendly cashier (maybe the owner). Nice. It is not nice that there is only two chairs and they call that indoor dining. Everybody else has to eat it like you ordered Olive Garden takeout and take it to the streets. Hm... was giving it a try since it's so close to work. Service is good. Food is....putting my blood pressure in jeopardy. The pasta tastes like a bag of salt. And making it very difficult to swallow the food and of course because of the saltyyyyuyuu spaghetti, I couldn't tell whether the meatballs are well seasoned and cooked to perfection.
