I have been coming to Call Me Pasta since it used to be Fluem Pasta (RIP) and then Pastagram (RIP) though this was the first time I have returned since the pandemic started. I noticed that the layout of the space had changed-- gone were few tables and the long narrow space and in its place was a larger menu and a smaller waiting space as the staff member explained to me that Call Me Pasta was now more of a takeout and pasta factory for their sister restaurant, Sola Pasta Bar in SoHo. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Like Stravinsky ($11.95) and the Bring Me to Capri ($12.95); the former was rigatoni alla vodka and the latter was spaghetti al limone. I really liked the citrusy bite that the spaghetti al limone gave me, but I would have loved some parm and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes, but Call Me Pasta was sadly out of both. The staff did give us an extra portion of free bread though, which made for a nice snack on our walk to the ferry.
This is a take out only pasta shop that's close to where I live, and it was my first time checking it out. I ordered the call me alfredo pasta and added grilled chicken ($3 extra) and mushrooms ($2 extra). There is an option for extra portion for an additional $2. The noodles were on the wider side of a fettuccine which I didn't mind at all. You can tell the pasta is homemade. I liked how it wasn't overly sauced and the grilled chicken and mushrooms were seasoned well and flavorful. It also didn't take that long for it to be ready. Overall the pasta dish was delicious! Will def be back to try the other pastas.

The only downsides to Call Me Pasta are the frequent name changes (lol) and they often are out of parm cheese, or red pepper flakes, or bread. I lovely the newish Laurel and Hardy sauce, the Alfredo is also good, and I just had the Arrabbiata sauce for the first time and loved it. In my experience you can go wrong with any dish here. I recommend trying their restaurant in Soho if you are looking for a nice sit down experience.
Truly love this place. Pasta is top notch like you'd get at an expensive sit down restaurant. They know what they are doing and whoever designed the menu is first class. I'm grateful to be able to eat such high quality pasta dishes at that price point.

The first time I went, Mike highly recommended that I order the spaghetti and meatballs, so I went with his recommendation. Everything is homemade fresh in-house. Unfortunately, my meatballs were a bit cold on certain spots, so it wasn't a perfect dish. So the next day, I ordered the tasting for two dinner options, which is offered only through Uber Eats. I took the pastas home, and it was still warm after the hour commute. Our favorites were: Call me Alfredo - sauce was really good Don't Touch My Protein Pecorino Lovers - very peppery add lots of cheese Mr. Green - pesto sauce was really thick, and more pine nuts were needed to balance the textures. The pasta Tasting for two is worth ordering if you want to try everything at once. There are also other items such as tiramisu and seasonal dishes such as Bring On the Capri.

The kitchen is wide open, and you can watch as they prepare your dish. I had spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti is on the robust side, cooked al Dente. I found the serving size to be just fine, especially considering the price point. I only wish they would include some grated cheese with the pasta. Update, I went again and this time they gave grated cheese on the side. I was quite satisfied.

Tried four of the sauces favorite is definitely the pesto which is on the thick side with almonds sprinkled on top. They are open only during the week days.
This place was more of a 3.5 star but I'll round up since it's hard to find speedy pasta spots around here. I got the Rigatoni with Pomodoro sauce, Broccoli, Mushrooms, and Chicken, which ended up being $18.50. It's not expensive compared to a sit down Italian restaurant, but I still felt it was overpriced given the portion size, so-so food quality and lack of seating. I think the pasta itself was well cooked, but the toppings were rather disappointing. They were also out of meatballs. If you are in a time crunch, Call Me Pasta will do but I'd suggest you take it easy on the toppings since they aren't worth it.
Tried this for lunch through delivery. The food arrived fairly quickly and was nice and hot. Got the "Don't Touch My Protein" (homemade rigatoni, ragu bolognese (beef, pork, and lamb), and parmesan). For a small charge, you can customize with an extra portion size, extra sauce, homemade focaccia, extra protein (chicken or meatballs), or veggies (broccoli, mozzarella, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes). You can also add red pepper flakes and parmesan for free. I went with the extra portion size, mushrooms, and red pepper flakes. The rigatoni was a little thick and firmer than al dente. The meal was very hearty and flavorful, with a good mix of the pasta, meat sauce, and mushrooms. The red pepper flakes that came on the side gave it a nice little kick. Call Me Pasta added some focaccia with the delivery, and it was pretty good. The next time I ordered for delivery, I would consider ordering the bread, too. read more

The staff was eating sushi with their hands in the kitchen and handling the containers for the food, chef was handling his phone with the same gloves he was touching the food with. Incredibly unsanitary. We couldn't eat it and when we asked for a refund, male staff was rude. read more

I enjoy Call Me Pasta's decor, quick food service, and customizable pasta options. Not only is it a contemporary space that was very well thought out, the service is always fast due to the nature of the food's cooking time. The entire kitchen is open so you can even watch them make your food if you sit in the right area. The owner really cares about his business and this is reflected in the quality of his food. Every pasta and sauce is well made and with depth of flavor and perfect texture. Lastly, the prices are good (affordable) but the deal gets even better if you double your portion of pasta and save some for later! As a vegetarian, I never feel guilty about ordering just spaghetti with pomodoro sauce lol. If I wanted to, there are many other vegetarian options I could customize for but I just love my regular spaghetti and tomato sauce :D. read more

Ok, I think I ate here before, but the place had a different name? Then it changed and it wasn't so good. This is third version of it, and it's so far my favorite! Pasta is delicious and freshly made in front of your face. You can peak between 4/5 different types of pasta, and 4/5 sauces. Then you can also add protein if you feel like. Pasta is cook al dente, and my sauce was yummy! I definitely go back if I want a nice warm plate of pasta. There are also 6 or so tables if you decide to stay over. read more

Overall decent meal. I tried the fusilloni with pomodoro sauce and broccoli (be advised, it's a very very small amount of broccoli added). The staff was polite, the kitchen is open so I could what was going on with my food, decor was cute. The pasta was pretty good. I was told the sauces are house made too...not so sure about that especially after seeing a labeled pesto jar near the cook station, eh. I may try them again. read more

Came across this low-key place while walking with a couple of friends and MAN am I happy we did! Considering we came the day after Christmas, it wasn't busy at all and we got to enjoy the super cute ambience of the place. Honestly, with all of the customizable options--from the pasta style, to the sauce, proteins/veggies, and more--i'd consider this the Chipotle of the pasta industry. They also have really great pre-made options to choose from! Not overpriced either... will definitely have to come back another time! My only complaint is that the chicken was somewhat hard/overcooked but at least we know we wont get salmonella! :) read more

Don't know why people hyped this place up, the pasta isn't even that good and for 16$ it's definitely not worth the portion size. My first thought to opening my pasta was "... this must be a joke, the portion size is extremely small for what I paid for" first time tasting it ever " :l I'm disappointed" the guy at the counter recommended it for me and it was by far the worst thing you can get as a recommendation... I'll try it again with something more basic but until then I'm leaving my rating as is. Really disappointed... read more

I got the fusilli pasta with pomodoro sauce. The pasta you could tell right away it was very homemade. The pomodoro sauce was only ok, the service was very good though. I thought the sauce could use a little more sweetness. I'll probably be back. read more

I had ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo with mushroom. I got a side of red peppers and parm and the total was around $13-14. To me, for the portion size, the freshness, and the flavor this is an amazing price! They were even so nice and gave me a side of bread for free. Wait time was less than 10 minutes which i didn't mind since there's a bunch of little shops around the area. The store itself is small only two seats but this is more of a takeout place anyways. Grab this and have a nice day in battery park! Love love love! read more

I am a big fan of pasta and this was such a cute place that I had to try it out! Overall, I would say it was an average on-the-go pasta place. I would've probably liked it more if they didn't charge for every veggie or meat option you wanted to add to your pasta. Still I'm glad I tried this place out, probably wouldn't go back unless I'm really craving for a quick pasta dish. read more
