Had a Chicken Slice which perhaps could have been heated a little longer but was otherwise pretty good. Rosella's is my go to spot if I want a slice of pizza for lunch in Financial District. I usually order online (through Seamless) and then pick up. It's pretty fast that way, you can bypass the line of folks ordering and go straight to the cashier. I usually get the penne vodka pizza, it's so decadent and filling. Carb on carb action, baby! I try to balance all the delicious carbs by getting a salad with my usual order but I don't know if that actually works out lol. The salad is ok but I definitely come here for the pizza. Soo many options for pizza. I had the square pepperoni. Bread was nice, soft with crunchy corners. Sauce was a bit too sweet. Pepperoni was good I wish it had more. I'll be back to try their other topics, some of them look very interesting such as the pasta pie or eggplant parm. read more

I go to Rosella's several times a week. My go to is a plain slice which hits the spot. The garlic knots are good and come with tomato sauce though sometimes they are a little well done. Their penne a la vodka is the best. I get it when I'm not feeling well and it hits the spot. It comes with bread. I've been craving pizza (happens a lot) and decided to treat myself to some since I had to go into the office. I found Rosella's through the Seated app and saw they have some interesting specialty pizzas, and I do love me a good specialty slice. I ordered for pick up via some site called All Set (as re-directed from Seated). The quoted time was about a half an hour (even for two slices), which I thought was a bit long because typically, the pies are already pre-made, and they just reheat the slice for you. I arrived 10 minutes early but my order was already sitting there (also, nobody greeted me by the way - I had to ask about my order). Both slices were cold - even though I ate it there, so that was kind of annoying. I had the chicken bacon ranch slice and Grandma's eggplant slice. Both were square slices, which was a nice change from the round pies. I usually LOVE CBR but this one didn't do it for me. I think it was the bacon - it was too smoky. Now the eggplant slice isn't something I'd normally order but all the reviews told me that I should and I'm really glad I did. Again, although it was cold, it was still really good. There is a whole piece of eggplant parm on there, complete with ricotta. The sauce was perfect. It had a nice sweetness to it but not overly so. I do like that they jampack ingredients onto the pizza. At least they're not skimpy with that. I was already full after the eggplant slice, so I probably didn't even need to order the CBR. I want to come back only because I've never seen an eggplant parm slice anywhere else before, and I want to try it again, but when it's fresh out of the oven. Next time, I'll skip the ordering ahead and just go there and wait. read more

I was kind of disappointed with this, it didn't have that spice you'd expect from a scampi style pasta. It tasted more like a lemon pasta with shrimp. The taste of garlic was very overpowering and the sauce was very watery. I didn't enjoy the huge pieces of lemon and tomato in the fish, didn't really add anything to the pasta but a strong lemon taste as well. Would go back to just try their pizza. read more

So, my company purchased pizza on August 30th (at noon delivered to 199 Water St for $68) in which I forgot to get the receipt. I had a colleague of mine go to the restaurant (today) to get me a copy, they claimed the Manager wasn't there and they couldn't help him. I called them inquiring how I can get the receipt and the young lady who answered the phone was rude, couldn't tell me when the Manager was coming in and wouldn't call them, then she hung up on me. So, this place is masquerading as a restaurant called "Brooklyn Calzone" on UberEATS. I ended up *accidentally* ordering from here because of that, and I'll now leave a review of the actual food I received. I ordered a calzone that was supposed to come with ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella, tomato, basil, and pepperoni. It actually only had the cheese in it... and maybe I could have been okay with just a cheese calzone if it had been good. But it just... wasn't. Aww man, I'm an avid pizza fan, as are most New Yorkers are, but this place is A-Ok. I used to work on William Street, about a block from this pizza shop. I would come on about once a week, but sometimes the lunch lines would be rather long. However, the staff was incredibly nice and they make some great garlic knots and the margarita square slice was incredible. I will say I wasn't much of a fan of the regular slices, hence why I didn't give them five stars. I recently passed by here and see they have upgraded the place now and it looks much nicer. I like their pizzas by the slice but whenever I come to Rosella's, I go for the Meatball Parm Hot Hero. It is extremely filling and totally worth the price. The cheese melts on the meatballs perfectly and the sandwich is topped with fresh parsley. The meatballs are extremely soft and delicious with the tomato sauce. During lunch Rosella's gets crowded but there's ample seating available, so the people traffic won't be an issue. While you're in the line to order your pizza, you get to watch them make other pizzas with an incredible pace. Pizza making is truly an art. read more
