I know that this is likely a situation that she's handled before, but good gracious, this has been a drawn out mess! She was even willing to drive to my mother if necessary assuming we could pin her location down to obtain consent for cremation. Also, the person (not sure the role title, and I'll remember his name at some point) who came to pick my grandmother up was so kind. He handled her with so much care, much like she was his own loved one. Despite the general stress of the death of a loved one, and the extra stress of our situation, this facility has been amazing.

Getting a marker put on my mother's grave has been met with excuses and delays. They have our money…read moreand she is in the ground, we are completely at their mercy. Mom was buried in November '21 she is, as of the beginning of this week she is still in an unmarked grave. We were initially told it would be 6 months for a marker to be made, supply issues etc... The option for a temporary marker was never presented by the Funeral home. As a funeral home, it's is their responsibility to offer, not ours as a grieving family to think to ask. One poor review on another site, 6 months after interrment, and they offer to put a temporary marker out, and tell us it will be another 6 to 8 months to get a stone marker. This would have made my mother have an unmarked grave for 12 to 14 months had we stuck to their timeline. We have decided to use a different company than the funeral home offers to get a headstone. That company told us 6 to 8 weeks, not 6 months. I won't even get into the shenanigans they pulled and threats that had to be made in order for us to get our money back to buy a marker from a different company. No family should have to go through this. Emerald hills really dropped the ball on this one.

To begin with, Billie looked like she was asleep in her final resting place....especially important considering how sick she had been. The casket was beautiful, the visitation was nice and respectful and the graveside service was perfect overall...again, especially considering it was done at 1:00 pm on a hot day. Everything was handled professionally. I know the family and all her friends appreciated this wonderful send-off to such a sweet lady. Condolences to all her family and friends!

Due to extraneous circumstances around my father's passing, the family member that was in state, was out of the country when he passed and there were delays in the family being notified that were out of state. The hospice he was at called this particular place to pick up my father. I wish I would have been able to intervene sooner. The level of professionalism just wasn't at any level I would call professional. The representative that we dealt with belonged on a used car lot, and not a reputable one. I really don't want to hear about stripper funerals when I am picking out urns and planning a service. He kept telling us the wrong amount for what was due after the initial costs of the cremation, etc. A check was written the day of the service for a remaining balance and then almost a month later, we were informed that we owed them the amount we were repeatedly told was already taken care of. I had asked my in town relative when I was in TX what the deal was, so I could handle it out of my father's accounts if needed, they didn't have the answers, so I relied on a proper accounting from the funeral home. Basically, it had to come out of pocket when a month ago it could have been taken care of in a different way that we no longer had access to. It was all paid, it was just basic misinformation, miscommunication, lameness on their part throughout the whole process. They found a reverend even though I had request that they did not, who just happened to be the reverend of the used car sales man funeral guy. My father's pastor was out of the country and I figured, better to have none then someone who did not know or care about him. The Stand in reverend they found used the wrong name of my father's mother even after I had asked him to read what I had written about my father seeing as he didn't even know him. That is always great during a memorial service, especially when you are paying this person, oh I mean "tipping" them and they basically refuse to read what you prepared then say the wrong name. After receiving the Death Certificate, I realize why he used the wrong name of my father's mother, because it was also wrong on the death certificate. It is not the name listed on my father's birth certificate. Another fail. He also told us the obituary had already been run, we did not even get a copy or link to it. But, it now ends up, they never ran the obit even after charging us for it. So, they are going to run it this Friday, a month after the funeral. Another epic fail on their part. I called the funeral director, Lee, to talk to him about this, to express my overall dissatisfaction. He came out of the gate funky; like he was put out that I would even try to have a conversation with him about anything I was unhappy with. I was cut off, over talked, disrespected and hung up on. I have a feeling that a lot of more mature "gentlemen" in Texas are old school and do not know how to discuss business with a woman respectfully. I was told that it was his "right" to continue to interrupt me. Great. I was told that what I was telling him was 100% wrong and when I asked if his accounting was 100% right, he said "absolutely". I really hadn't even been able to say a full two sentences at this point. Then, he started lighting in to me about the length of time that they had to hold my father and issues he evidently had about my sister being out of the country and not having access to reliable communication methods. He actually told me she could have sent a TELEGRAM. OK. Right. Because that is such a preferred method of communication. I am sure they charged us for the time my father was there, generously, and also it was almost impossible for me to get a timely call back when I did get in the mix and start dealing with them. The location is also in a industrial-ish, not so nice area with nothing around it but hospitals. Not nice at all. The overall appearance of the funeral home is tacky. Plastic columns and plants. I would not recommend them, at all. It was a clown show at best.

They did a wonderful job and made sure to always keep us updated and encouraged us to contact them if we had any issues or wanted to update anything. The pricing seemed pretty reasonable to us and they never pressured us to look into the really expensive stuff. The room for the actual service was not very large, they have chairs instead of pews, we did have to order some chairs to sit more people and they put a sash around them to make them look nice. They look at their job from the families point-of-view instead of just a business perspective. Over all, they did a really good job and I can't think of any complaints.

I would never ever say anything so hurtful to anyone in my life. I met Christie K. Moore at a professional training. When my mother passed on 03/31/23 I contacted her to help with the arrangements. I met with Myeshia and paid $12,0018 for the arrangements, travel to Tulsa, and the burial plot. When we go to the graveside gazebo, my mom was already there waiting on us. After the celebration, they put my mom in a white van that had trash inside. They drove her to her final resting place and pull her out of the back of a white van with trash on the inside of it. Every funeral I have attended had a hearse, but my mom was pulled out of a white van with trash. At no time was I told the service car would be a van. I spoke with the man who came from Texas and said, why wasn't my mom in a hearse, why you pulled her out of a van? This is terrible. He said, "I am sorry, if you wanted a hearse, I could have gotten you one." Why wouldn't I want a hearse, it's a funeral. They were not packing meat across state lines. I then sent Christie a message about my embarrassment and heartbreak the same day of the funeral. She responds we can talk, so on today, we talked. I told her how I felt and that I couldn't sleep because it was so disrespectful for my mom to be in the back of a dirty van. I also stated Tulsa was my mom's hometown and I was so embarrassed. I told her, I can only bury my mom once, we can't redo this and I feel very embarrassed because this is a funeral and we did not expect nor were we told that she would be in a van. She again said I am sorry, we believe in excellence, etc. At no time, did she offer any refund or anything, just an apology. When I asked what would you want to happen if you were in my place. Every chance he got he wanted to argue with us about ANYTHING! To the point that even the lady that works with him had to tell him you did say that. I it upset him he couldn't charge us for that he decided to give me an extra transport charge that he NEVER not once mentioned until he couldn't charge was the other fee. In the end charging me 800 dollars in transportation fees. In between this and everything to follow I had to wait till after noon to do any business with them because the director don't answer the phones he just be mean to people in the background and the lady running things works at a daycare in the mornings. Then, we waited 2 weeks for the death certificate and it was a straight forward natural death. Come to find out( I heard the conversation with vital records) they hadn't requested the death certificates. Holding up the process with insurance, the cemetery and the other funeral home. I had been calling every other day asking for it. Finally we decided she would pay the fee to expedite getting the certificates (we paid for 5) and pay to overnight them to me since they were not in with my father when he was shipped. She was supposed to fax me a copy before she sent them off. Hours after they were picked up I got 3 cut off pictures of the death certificate and a picture of shipped partial letter that was arriving with my certificates 3days later. Obviously the other funeral home had to call her and get her to fax the copy of the certificate instead of the 3 cut off pictures. When the other director said you know we can't accept pictures in text she laughed and said yeah you're right. At this point we all were tired of dealing with them. It was a very horrible experience at one of the worse times in my life. I would NOT recommend this funeral home to anyone. Especially if you're looking for someone on their game with an empathetic heart. The director mean and appears to be very old. The lady running things is nice but appears to not know what is going on and ALL over the place. Not a good experience at all!!!!

Such an incredibly difficult event was made infinitely easier by the Jaynes Memorial team. From the…read moremoment you are met at the door until the follow up call to check in on our well being. The planning was navigated by the team but everything was at our convenience. No pressure but lots of grace. The visitation and the service both ran flawlessly and they knew exactly when to be there and when to slide into the back drop. But the florals!! Incredible and so very fresh. The entire experience was made as easy as possible at such an emotional time. So grateful!
