So I'm reviewing breakfast spots that I think are good and while this spot isn't in Queens .. I'm actually a Brooklyn girl living in Queens .. the spot is in Clinton Hill Brooklyn . Cayler is a nice neighborhood spot for great lattes and really good coffee . This morning I'm having an Oat Milk Latte . I will say this rivals my little Queen's spot I just reviewed for great lattes . I used to be a Starbucks gal but there are so many great coffee spots in the city to try ! The staff are friendly and will remember your order even when you forget ! I was picking up lunch for a co-worker here as well and completely forgot part of my order ! So .. my usual here is over easy egg with avocado . The rolls are so good - brioche rolls so they are so soft and tasty ! I've had their amazing kale Caesar salad in the past . Note: the dressing is a Caesar vinaigrette and ask for more on the side since there's not much put on your salad . They have associated cakes and pastries too . The one thing that's ridiculously expensive but I love on a wet dreary day is the orange juice that's a small size - just what I need when feeling my throat getting scratchy . If you're in BK stop by ....

Cozy space with some of the best sandwiches you'll ever have. Not a large menu, but they have other items as well. The BLT and Egg sandwich are great! A MUST try if you're in this part of Brooklyn for a quick bite!

Like Calyer for lunch alot. Theyve got great late breakfast to late lunch food. A selection of breakfast sandwiches lunch sandwiches and salads. Its pretty well priced. Not quite cheap but also not expensive either. They've got a couple seats but my assumption is they are heavy on the takeout & delivery side. I tried the balsamic greens with chicken. Loved how much apple it had. The pepitas added nice crunch although something additional crunchy would have been awesome. It was a good sized portion. And filled me up. I'll be back to try the rest.

Would come back if I lived in Navy Yard/Clinton Hill. Great staff. Decent Sammies. Taste: I got a ham and cheese sandwich. I wish they hadn't put fig jam on it--I like fig jam, but I just would've preferred savory and rich. I would order without that if I came back. The bread was nice, but would've preferred a baguette. Experience: the staff was awesome. I'd come back and probably can imagine a five star experience here. Mood Before/After: I was tired before and refreshed after. Fullness: Full. I only needed a half sandwich. What else did I eat/do today affecting my experience: first stop of the day after sleeping in a little

Some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Especially the Chorizo. The service is great. A great environment to enjoy a cup of coffee or have a nice quiet lunch with 2 or 3 friends.

I loveeeeee working out of Calyer so much that I often will take casual meetings there and sometimes bring a friend for lunch. The people who work there are very sweet and they're great about remembering my order. For the food, I mainly stick to the salads but that's because it is one of my favorite salad spots in the neighborhood. I typically cycle through all of the salads throughout the a month but if I happen to visit Calyer twice in a week then that means I am going back for the Balsamic Greens. (Pro tip: try it with fried chicken and thank me later). For drinks, I have tried most of the seltzers and I love their selection. They've stocked brands / flavors that I was always interested in sampling and that I ended up looking for in supermarkets after the fact. I also pop in for Cold Brew every now and then. They have a nice assortment of syrups, including lavender and maple. The coffee is decent, the salads are great, and the service is prompt, but the ambiance is hands down my favorite thing about Calyer. It is the perfect cafe for someone who loves typing things at a window bar while the sun directly warms your face and the people around you are discussing their interesting artsy Pratt projects at a normal and not obnoxious volume lol.

If you take one thing away from my review, it's that they serve lunch all day! That means if you just happen to be in the area before noon, you can still get a delicious chicken tinga sandwich! I forego your archaic delineations of when I'm allowed to eat what kind of food! I'd rather have hot shredded chicken loaded with salsa verde on soft ciabatta bread with a cup of drip coffee with oat milk. Staff is super nice. The space is cute (and they sell other things like pastries, energy bars, and juices). Oh, and they also serve their breakfast sandwiches all day!

Decor/actual restaurant: This particular location is very small and tight with limited in-store seating. The interior is cute, I like the blue color theme they have here. For a restaurant designed for to-go orders, I believe that there could be more waiting room and a couple less chairs. Service: Like many "fast food adjacent" restaurants, the people who work there have good customer service but I imagine deal with the worst. I know they're doing great with the situation they're in. Kudos to them. Food: this is probably my harshest critique. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich, and it was fine. I don't believe it was worth the $16 I spent though. The chicken was kind of bland, tasted similarly to frozen grilled chicken pieces you buy from a grocery store. I do wish there was more sauce. The pesto tasted good but overall there was too much bread. I fear you would be better off making something like this at home for a comparable price. The bread was good, just too much. I don't want to base the menu on this sandwich alone, a lot of the menu options sounded delicious, but this was just the experience I had!

((4.5 stars)) Sunny…read moreand Annie's is very much a 24/7 neighborhood gem of a corner store and deli. it's packed with packaged foods--candy, chips, cookies, ice cream, soft drinks, beer, and a lot more plus the deli counter serves ups an endless list of creative sandwiches. i am not going to say this place is cramped but it kinda is. for example, if people stand in the wrong areas of the store, it will cause a complete standstill of a traffic jam in the store. my advice: order from the deli (and stand somewhere people aren't trying to get to) or grab whatever you need, pay, and leave. this place is not a place to linger. keep it moving. anyway, the obvious draw of Sunny & Annie's is the endless list of sandwiches that are handwritten cards that are stuck outside glass of the deli counter. there is literally something for the pickiest eaters--from hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, wraps, and more. some sandwiches are named celebrities, politicians, etc. i have ordered a bunch of different sandwiches and have not made it through much of the menu. you can also create your own Frankenstein monster of a sandwich. while the sandwiches are a big part of the draw, the insane amount of snack foods crammed into the store is quite remarkable from the large stand of Doritos, Takis, Cheetos and other popular branded snack foods in the front to the separate stand of Wise snacks to an entire back corner of the store filled with all kinds of chips, popcorn, etc. imo, Sunny's has the freshest-tasting Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. i know an insane take consider it's a packaged popcorn snack from a megacorp (PepsiCo), but i'll die on this hill. maybe it's cause Sunny's sells a lot of Smartfood popcorn so it gets refreshed often, maybe they have a secret in/pipelinbe from the factory, or it's just magic/alchemy. i don't know, but the Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn never tastes stale-ish like it does at grocery stores, the bags never feel deflated because they have been on shelf long, and the popcorn never has that soft mouthy feel but still has the crunch to it. maybe it's just me, but Sunny's serves a great list of sandwiches...AND the freshest Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. beyond the snacks, the service from the deli to cashier is upbeat and friendly. in all seriousness, Sunny and Annie's is an Avenue B institution at this point and remains a charming family-owned store--and is NOT a sterile modern clone of a neighborhood business.
