It was a little dark inside the restaurant and a little loud. Ordered the clam chowder but was later informed that they were out. The yay- amazing server named Destiny. My son enjoyed his sandwich. They gave me a slice of their delicious tiramisu, strong (in a good way) taste of espresso, my hubby had the spumoni, highly recommend. we also ordered the peach and blueberry gelato pie, it's seasonal, and none of us liked it. Out of this world. The breading was thin and crispy, and the dipping sauce was yummy. We had the catch of the day. It came with risotto that was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. My friend had the Parpadelle. She said it was prepared perfectly, and al dente just like she likes it. We definitely would return for some more spins around the menu. This place is an institution in Lodi. Highly recommend.

My wife got the "Joe's Special" with the buratta bowl appetizer and I got the "Pastrami Sandwich w/Fries". My sandwich was so good I couldn't wait to take another bite! Fresh pretzel bun, thick stack of Pastrami, coleslaw slaw, with Russian dressing and it came with their fresh cut French fries. My wife's "Joe's Special" was an egg scrambled with spinach, mushrooms, onions, topped with cheese and it came with their grilled garlic ciabatta bread. She said it was easily the best scramble she ever had. We sat at the bar so our server was the bartender who was on top of everything. She took great care of us. I did see a few items pass by us that we will definitely try next time. The "Mozorella Sticks" were a perfect golden brown and thick! The "Hawaiian Pulled Pork Sandwich" also looks phenomenal. They've also added several big screen televisions just in time for the NFL season which added to an already beautiful decor. The ambiance isn't anything beyond a basic deli without any of the frills or specialty touches. It's just plain and a bit worn. Primarily known for Italian food this is where it apparently shines. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Navigating the menu was a little awkward as everything seems customized, which is fine but takes a bit to figure it out. We ordered a meatball sandwich to share along with a bag of chips and two drinks. We had ordered a #6 which we were charged for, but didn't really get the supposed complimentary sides. No big deal. The meatball sandwich really didn't figure into that equation anyway. The sandwich made from scratch and warmed nicely with oozing mozzarella cheese was simply delicious. What impressed me most was it was not made with a red tomato sauce but rather a brown sauce. That's something one sees a lot in the Italian influenced communities in and around New Orleans. What's nice is the brown sauce doesn't overwhelm the tastiness of the meatballs which were plump and quite delicious. Have a lot of napkins as it gets messy. Overall it was a good experience. You really have to know what you want and what to get before blindly walking in here. It does appear to be a chain with several locations in the surrounding area.

We all loved the bruschetta with crispy Parmesan toast. We agreed that the bread is usually hard and crumbly at other places but here it was surprisingly a little fluffy past the crunchy layer. Perfect appetizer. My brother and I both had the minestrone soup. So flavorful and satisfying! My sister-in-law said her Beef Stracotto was perfectly cooked. She only had a small piece so my hubby and son enjoyed the leftovers. They loved dipping the bread in the rich sauce. I tried a couple bites of the combo pizza. It was delicious and my son was very happy with it. I had one of the specials of the day, a Meatloaf Sandwich with pasta salad. I've usually had coleslaw inside of a BBQ pork, chicken, or fish sandwich. But the combo of tangy coleslaw with tender meatloaf was fantastic and creative. The bread was soft and fluffy. I was full from appetizers and dessert, so took most of my sandwich home for dinner. Portions are big and satisfying. For dessert we shared the chocolate lava cake and lemon cake with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. All 10/10! Service was very friendly and the place is big, bright, and welcoming.

The food was incredibly bland and didn't taste like authentic Italian cuisine at all. The trio plate was especially disappointing. The Alfredo had almost no sauce and absolutely no flavor, and the pesto tasted like it came straight from a jar. Overall, everything was just mediocre and lacked the rich, fresh flavors you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. The service was painfully slow throughout the meal, and to make matters worse, there wasn't any wine, beer, or other alcohol available, which was surprising for an Italian restaurant. The dining room was also uncomfortably hot. It appears they only use wall-mounted air conditioning units, and they weren't keeping up, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. The only reason I'm giving this an extra star is because the green beans served with the chicken Marsala were actually pretty good. Unfortunately, one good side dish wasn't enough to make up for the long wait, bland food, slow service, and uncomfortable atmosphere. I won't be returning.

Melissa, the owner, could not have been more welcoming. She shared that she and her husband are UOP grads themselves, which made the visit feel even more special given why we were in town. The food was outstanding. The pork schnitzel sandwich was cooked perfectly: crispy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. The deviled eggs were some of the best we've had in a long time, creamy with just the right kick. It's clear this is a place run with real pride, and it means a lot to support a local, family-run spot like this in Lodi, especially one with such genuine UOP roots. If you're ever dropping off (or picking up) a Tiger, make time to stop in. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to campus.

Now was a good as time as any! As we entered, there was a sign to meet at the bar for seating. The waitress/server came out after a bit of a wait and according to my friend, it's usually a longer wait time around lunch for someone to come out and seat you. I was recommended to try the pork schnitzel by my friend and it did not disappoint. I got my sandwich with a side salad. We also ordered the deviled eggs to share. My friend has never had the deviled eggs before and pleasantly surprised and delighted that the eggs were absolutely delicious. They're very smooth, eggs were cooked perfectly and the touch of bacon was just right. It does come with a small helping of mixed greens topped with pickled onions. The pork schnitzel was crispy & crunchy due to the breaded pork loin, came with pickled onions, slaw and the chipotle aioli sauce. The sauce does have a bit of a kick to it but it wasn't too spicy, well, at least for me. My salad was very good too. It was colorful and had an interestingly tangy dressing on it. It paired well with the sandwich. One was spicy and the salad was tangy but refreshing. My friend also ordered the pork schnitzel with beef tallow fries. I tried some of her fries and they were thin but still crispy. Overall the food at West Oak Nosh was so good and delicious! Service was good, prompt and our server was attentive despite being by herself. I think this place is great for the summer to have a drink and eat. Will have to come back for the drinks!

We sat inside, where the space features exposed brick, artwork throughout, and very comfortable seating... my partner specifically pointed that out. The layout includes a mix of seating areas, which gives it a more relaxed, layered feel. The bar area, known as the Ghost Lounge, adds a darker, more lounge-like element to the overall atmosphere. Service was excellent. Our server, Lacy, was friendly, attentive, and witty - easily one of the best servers we've had in a while. For drinks, I had a local Oak Farm red wine that was excellent. Others in our group had mimosas, which were well received... especially the grapefruit mimosa, which my partner really enjoyed. For food, there were several highlights. My partner had the chicken and waffles and loved it; I tried some and would agree it was very good. Another person in our group ordered the steak breakfast tacos, which came as a set of three. They only ate two, and I had the third and it was delicious and something I would recommend. Another in our group had the eggs Benedict and thought it was excellent. I had the biscuits and gravy with fried eggs. It was okay, but not something I would go out of my way to order again. In terms of value, prices felt consistent with the quality of the food, service, and overall setting. It's not a budget brunch spot, but it feels appropriate for the experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Easter brunch with great service, a comfortable and well-designed interior, and several strong menu items. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5, though if half-points were an option, this would land closer to a 4.5. We'd definitely come back.
