ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE The staff at Camelback Ford are unprofessional, argumentative, defensive, lack ANY professional courtesy and refuse to accept responsibility for their mistakes. Christian was my sales contact and communication was acceptable and polite but unfortunately the ball was dropped by finance (Manny and Alex O.), operators (josh), managers, ESPECIALLY the sales director Sean (?), and even Jill in customer relations. I was purchasing a vehicle from Louisiana to be shipped from Phoenix and I truly cannot put into words what a NIGHTMARE this experience has been. I had to micromanage this sale and everyone was rude and difficult to get in touch with. I was hung up on repeatedly and transferred to people where i had to explain my situation over and over again. The staff 's demeanor can be described as "we don't really care about making this sale or making your experience better." This branch is poorly ran. Manny the finance contact went out of town aafter three days of radio silence and the director Alex Ochoa communicated to my sales guy that he would get all the paperwork taken care of- after repeated calls from myself and my mother we still didn't receive the buyers purchase agreement (Sale began on july 5th- it's now July 12th). They reported it was sent when it had not been. No one explained their role and how they would carry out this sale and transfer. By July 10th I was tired of wasting my time but had already wired them money. I expressed my frustration with the response times with Jill in customer relations who reported their sale system was off line two weeks prior- unsure how that affected my sale but if it had been communicated i would have been empathetic. When my credit union called to reach finance he not only did not return the call but asked what they needed- instead of simply calling them back. Even my FCU rep was shocked with how rude they were to her- It's honestly pretty embarassing. I was notified that the check was signed for by the dealership at 8:53am and when I called to ask about transport I was transferred to the director of sales manager, Sean ? (but can't really remember). When asked directly about transport he replied "We will check with finance that everything is done to which i replied the check was the only thing that was holding up delivery. He then spoke over me raised his voice and stated i was rude and difficult to deal with and he couldn't wait to be done with me then proceeded to hang up. I wish I could revoke my purchase because they don't deserve the sale. It's pretty impressive that a business with a D- rating with Better Business Bureau, a 1 star rating with yelp, and a 1 star google rating is still operating. It would be beneficial for them to attend a training on customer service. Next time I use Cargurus I will make sure to check the rating of the dealership. And to be clear to Sean or whoever the sales director is I hope you can calm down and speak with kindness to you future customers, it's never too late to learn compassion. And in particular defensiveness indicates an inability to accept a wrong doing- I would be more content if someone would actually apologize or take responsibility but since there was no effort I'm forced to make this review.... Camelback Ford has wasted my time more than once, and this time, I've decided to document it. My experience on 12/20 was typical of what I've encountered since purchasing a new F150 from them in 2015: After you sign and buy, you become a 1-star priority to them. My hope in writing this review and providing support documentation is to ensure that no one else sets themselves up to be disregarded by Camelback Ford. I received a flyer in the mail with Camelback Ford's specific branding AND address (photos attached) letting me know that I am overdue for service. This is not true and adds to my point... I started taking my vehicle elsewhere for service after my last issue with this dealership, so they don't have the records. I WANT to work with a Ford dealership for service and repairs, and I decided to give them another try. Especially because the flyer offered a complimentary loaner vehicle if a person calls ahead (I did, and I'll get to this soon), is 21 or older with a valid license (I am), can provide proof of insurance (I can), and is having any repair done that is valued over $300 (I was coming in for 30,000-mile service and to have my lower blend door actuator replaced, so I expect I've more than covered this as well). I called the number on the flyer (flyer photos attached): 855-314-2565. The call was not answered. I was soon called back by 800-976-0924. The person on the line did a good job taking notes on what I needed and the terms related to the coupon, etc. Since I have had issues with Camelback Ford in the past once I arrive for service, I had her read her notes back to me. There were a few omissions, and we corrected them in detail. The notes regarding the appointment were fully intact at that point. She scheduled me to come in on 12/20/22 at 1130 am and assured me that the loaner car would be available and ready. The loaner car was the main motivator for me to try Camelback Ford again, and I needed it to move on with my day effectively. I'm a business owner, I have a second job, I have a family, and I have scheduled hobbies that I'm invested in. All required me to be able to travel freely and with confidence. on 12/20, I arrived early to ensure there was time to set me up with the loaner and enable me to get to an appointment up the road. I brought the coupon (image attached). The person who greeted me did not have my appointment listed. I gave him my ID to take inside and see if he could sort things out. Next, a service manager took over, returning my ID and telling me that they do not have a record of my appointment and that further, they would not provide a loaner vehicle if I left my truck with them. He further implied that the coupon was not from Ford and it certainly was not theirs, and that complimentary loaners are not offered (Camelback Ford branding and their address are on the attached flyer). He seemed very agitated and seemed to struggle to control himself. I did my best to calm him down and told him we'd reschedule at a time when a loaner would be available. He again asserted that they do not provide loaners, but said that he would have their rental department follow up with me in the future to reschedule if a rental becomes available. My problem with his plan is that my coupon expires on 12/25/22... after pointing out the issue, he said he would tell the person in rentals the story. I offered to allow him an opportunity to make a copy of the coupon and attach it to my service ticket. He declined. Ultimately, I scheduled around this, and my time was wasted. No solution was rendered. I felt like I was being handled; being regarded as confused at best, if not deviant. Did they think I made the coupon myself? Both employees seemed off after the appointment was not found. Are they terrified of a poor performance review? I'm concerned about how the staff is treated by leadership. I hesitated to write this as a result. I would very much like to make use of this coupon. I know without documentation, no chance will happen. read more

I came here to look at a Bronco Sport for my daughter. We happened to get Peter as our sales assistant. He was so humble and nice I assumed he was new. We ordered the bronco for my daughter and I returned from lax to Phoenix today to help her pick it up and to co-sign on her loan. Peter was nice enough to get me from the airport, so I didn't need to pay Uber or a cab. I came to find out today that Peter is one of Camelbacks top sales persons. He never told me but I had asked him how long he's been here and he told me 5 years. I asked how he's doing with this dealership and he told me he really likes working here. So I call to speak to this Sheila person only to find out she is no longer there, took me 3 calls just to get through to the business, 3 times hung up after it was answered. I get a male someone who was rude, transferred to another male voice that didnt understand why i was calling, spoke over me instead of listening , no names given whatsoever and nobody knows who is in charge of customer relations since Sheilah's departure. I came in for service and said my rear differential was leaking. I had just had it serviced a few months before. They told me it was the seal. I asked on a Wednesday to bring it in, and my service advisor said it would be better if I brought it in the following Tuesday. I came back Tuesday to drop it off and I said, "Just two days, right? I need this truck back by Thursday." Julian agreed; I then rented a car for 2 days ($120). After two days, I came to pick up my truck, and they did nothing. They said they were too busy to do the service. I said this is why I communicated the times with him and made the appointment. I just spent a lot of time, effort, and money on them to provide the service. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership service center. I have always been upfront about my time and how busy I am. I always stress with my advisor; I run a business, and I can't waste time. On this occasion, they completely wasted my time and money. Going back and forth is one thing for service; it's another when you do it and they do nothing. I have to reschedule this service to be provided, but it will never be at Camelback Ford. I purchased a brand new Ford Escape in 2021. All and all the negotiations went okay. Signed the papers and went home with it. Couple days later they call and tell me that I need to go back in and resign papers because there was something wrong with the paper work and it needed to be redone. Fine and dandy, signed and no other issues. Fast forward 3 years and I traded of the escape with 55000 miles on it. I went to get a refund on the EXTENDED warranty I bought and they said it was almost all used up! I'm like, what, it only has 55k on it and the manufacturer hasn't even expired yet. Turns out the finance guy sold me a warranty that was from mile 1 till 60k and didn't explain that. I have bought 13 cars over the years and always buy from 60k on extended warranty's. Why would I need that if I had manufactures till 60k! Called warranty company and they won't do any thing to help so I called camelback ford and they won't do anything to help either! So I basically threw $1600 in the trash!! Horrible customer service!! Do not recommend this dealership and I will never buy there again!! read more

When do I even start. Beware first off you this is a DISHONEST dealership. Save your time and money and stay away!!! My experience started by inquiring on a Ford F-150 STX BLACKED OUT APPEARANCE. This is an important detail because I specifically scheduled a visit to see that exact truck. So you can imagine my surprise when I showed up on time and that truck was magically gone after they confirmed it was there waiting for me ONLY 1 hour prior!! After my 45 minute drive to the dealership they tried selling me on a different truck that was conveniently parked right next to the missing truck I was there to see. I forgot to give a review... I bought my car here a while ago. It was at the beginning of the pandemic, which is why I think I had such a tough time (they were hungry to make a sale maybe?). So I bought a used Ford Eco Sport. I was tired of cheap foreign cars breaking down on me. I bought a family member with me who had a Ford. This was *key*. If he wasn't with me, they would've stuck me with a new car with outrageous payments. I walked in to the NEW car sales side, accidentally at first. They immediately started giving me a spleel for about an hour telling me it would be cheaper and better to buy a new car. It would NOT have been. Not for me. I tried telling him this, but he wasn't listening. He was just talking. I got up in the middle of his this and marched over to the USED car side to find my car. On that side, the USED car salesman didn't seem to want to be bothered. He went through the motions of showing me cars, no newer than 7 y.o... Blah. I was raised by mechanics and I could hear (and feel) the mechanical problems those cars had, as I was test driving them. My family member and I, had to actually go online to see what was on the lot ourselves. We ended up finding a used Ford Eco Sport that was perfect. He didn't even know it was on the lot (or he acted like he didn't know, after many times I told him how much I liked the Eco Sport)... Ok. 12 HOURS LATER (yes) I walked out with the car I have today. Some of it was the process, some of it was my bad credit/financial constraints, and the rest was the dealership trying to push me into the car of THEIR dreams. The guy in the finance department is amazing. My credit isn't good and they got the interest rate down, which cut my payments down. The service department is always really nice. I just roll, they've patch up my tires, answer questions for me, clean my car for me ... I mean they're just really nice in the service department. Granted, I haven't had any major problems, the car is only a couple years old. I notice that this dealership doesn't have good reviews, which isn't surprising, for reasons explained. It seems they've been in the game for a long time, and they know how to play it. Camelback falls in line with most large dealerships. Bring someone with you, who knows what they're doing. Worst experience ever!! Took my elderly parents there for a new truck. the sales girl that helped us was not bad but I would still give her 2 stars also for not reaching back out to us. Anyway, my parents understand English but would also prefer to have a translator in Navajo. Informed them of this when we first started. Not much selection was showed to us but my parents did like one that was showed to us. So we went inside to negotiate, we made a deal BUT I had to leave to pick up my son from work, I was gone not even 15 mins and my dad was in the finance dept ready to sign papers and the guy had jacked up the price by $300 after we had negotiated a deal with the gap and all that other junk that they try to add at the end. We tried to walk out of the deal but of course they sweet talked them into whatever he added I was furious trying to argue with the finance guy but my dad stop me. The finance guy said we could leave and they will email us all the paperwork. Never got them. Called multiple times yo get them email and still to this day nothing. It's been 3 months. I brought my car in under warranty, and first the advisor Raela tried to claim I didn't have loaner coverage when I did, and not give me a loaner at all, then when I insisted she gave a one way ride to a rental company who would not rent to me because of my age. So basically despite paying a decent amount extra for loaner coverage on my warranty from ford they aren't honoring it, and wasted over an hour of my time to tell me I'm screwed and they wouldn't get me a loaner. Bought a 2023 ford f150 tremor about 3 months ago. Truck had factory issues: *Window seal/trim was letting air from the outside and created a loud whistle when windows are closed *Rattle noise from the engine bay when the truck comes to a complete stop * sound system made loud noise like if it was having a shortage * Passenger Side rear sensor was acting up Called it in and I was connected with cherish misddaug. ( btw it wasn't easy trying to get ahold of never got call back) anyway finally got an appointment, spoke with Cherish and she was straight forward with I had to drop my truck off for 14 days (not including weekends or holidays ) my truck was there well over 20days. I was fine waiting for the 14 business days to complete the work. Only heard back from her twice via text ( she said she prefers text messages then a phone call) yet when she asked me via text what was the issue about the rattle I explained to her, even offer to send two short clips about the two of the issues. She never replied back and that was all I heard from her. I even gave her an extra day to see if she was going to call me about the truck being ready. GUESS WHAT?? She never did, I had to drive down to the dealership and when asked about my truck she was " oh yeah it's ready" But Wait There's more. My truck has been seating on the lot all this time. They only drove it twice and that was at the start of first week. And she never bother to let me know about what they found. Then she says " tec couldn't replicate the two issues in question " and I said did you see the text I sent you about the short clips ? She opens her computer and says " oh I didn't see this message " went ahead and played the two short videos. She was shocked that the issues can be replicated. And goes in to say " tec has run the truck multiple time etc.." and I was like really? Knowing that truck has a tracking device that shows the movement. I even said that to her and she was surprise. They are LIARS. My truck wasn't even looked properly. So went ahead and said that I was going to take my truck since they couldn't do nothing about the issues. She told me they will have it ready in 30min. NOPE IT WAS READY TWO HOURS LATER. Not until I asked about it they rushed a clean up. So this dealership has lost my business. I would like to share an update on my feedback about Camelback Ford. After my first feedback, the company posted the following response: "Please contact Sheilah Keilman, our Customer Relations Manager, at 855-902-9505 to discuss this further." I called them and after 2 voicemails, somebody called me back to check on a situation and offered a laughable $250 to resolve the issue. (as a reminder they sold me a no good warranty for $2600 that since day 1 never covered my vehicle). I received a prorated refund from the warranty company for $1019 and asked that manager to compensate me for the difference. The manager said he can offer me only $250, but he will try to get authorization from somebody and will call me back. It was around 30 days ago. I have no choice but to file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General and federal trade commission. Camelback Ford does not fix their mistakes. They just don't care. I gave every opportunity to them by leaving the general manager several voice messages to call me to explain the challenges I was having--(Crickets!!!!)-(over two months now!!!) Then I thought about just rambling on about how horrible this dealership is and how unprofessional the entire staff is, from the top general manager all the way down to the lot attended!! Though they may have a few employees that are good but they too shall receive bad reviews for working there when they know they shouldn't!! Yeah, but then the details of what happened is too long and a bit convoluted for the readers to understand, After all every story has 3 sides, yours, mine and the truth! So, I will focus on the truth by pointing out some very simple things that are important when operating a consumer service business but unfortunately this dealership has none of them!! This dealership lies! This dealership deceives! This dealership doesn't care! This dealership is unprofessional! This dealership should be shut down! This dealership's own employees give them a 2 star review onindeed.com! This large multi million dollar dealership in all its glory with hundreds of employees that has been open for over 30 years has only a 2 star review?? With almost 500 reviews?? That alone validates my story!! And yet they are still in business, why?? It's because we as consumers always take convenience over value!! We then complain about it after we have fallen more often than we should!! So, technically we as consumers are just as guilty as they are as we are enabling them by choosing convenience!!?? Do not believe their accolades hanging on the walls as being top rated or 5 star services, it's all lies!! That paper is worth less than toilet paper in a public bathroom!! The auto industry is just like the health industry, the consumer assumes they know but they really don't! The consumers assume that they are not intimidated or scared, but they are! And we certainly love going to Google University to educate ourselves, only to find out that the information on Google was inputted by humans, as Google does not create the content, it just shares it. So, what am I saying?? What I'm saying is that it's time we held horrible businesses accountable! There are a ton of ford dealerships in the valley and not all are great, but not all of them are horrible enough that they should be closed!! Do yourself a favor and go out of your way and find a dealership that has open and honest dialogue. Learn to be a practitioner of accountability. You own the car, you're responsible for it, you're not allowed to blame the car when something goes wrong with it. Learn to accept that it will break down, it will at some point cost you money. All of this is part of the price tag the moment you bought it, new or used. So as a certified dealership, they too are accountable to provide you with honest and fair service!! (take a moment & review this again) They are accountable! So when you convince yourself, it's OK, I know they are not that good but the other location is too far, I don't have time! Then you have no excuse to complain about anything that goes wrong with your service experience as you allowed it to happen! This is how and why they are still in business, because of convenience, not accountability or honesty or fairness or even value!! The exciting part is that this review will get lost within the yelp/internet world and no one will call or ask what happened. However, just count it like a quick written tick tock moment that may or may not be of value or entertainment to the reader! ZERO Stars - Absolute worst experience I've ever had with a vehicle. Scheduled an appt for service, received a confirmation email and text confirming the appt. Show up to the appt and they are closed. Called the next business day and get in an argument with the service rep telling me there was no way I had an appt scheduled as they were closed that day. Even though I was staring at the two separate confirmations I had received from them! Then, they tell me to just come in and drop off the vehicle and they will get it taken care of. I bring it in on a Friday at 7:30am. They tell me they will need up to 48 hours to perform the diagnosis. I tell them I just need the truck back by the following Thursday due to a planned trip. They tell me "no problem" they will get it back to me before then. Come Tuesday, I still have zero update from my service rep so I call for an update. They immediately act as though I bugging them to ask for an update and tell me they have already completed the diagnosis and needed to order the part and would have it the next day. I don't hear anything the next day so I call them at the end of the day for an update. Again, an irritated response to my question and say they received the part and are getting it installed and my truck would be ready for pickup tomorrow morning. The next day (Thursday) comes along and it's about 3pm with no update. I call them yet again for an update and am told they don't have the part and need to order it. I tell them I'm confused and that I was told the day before they had the part and it was being installed and I would be able to pick it up the next morning. They tell me that the part the ordered wasn't correct and they had to place a new order. Again, confusing, since they told me the day before they had it and it was in the process of being installed already. I ask why they didn't call me back yesterday or this morning to let me know they would need more time and he says they just found out 15 minutes ago it was the wrong part. Ok - so you were installing it yesterday and just realized at 3pm the next day that the box didn't contain the right part???? I don't think so. Zero communication without hunting them down for an answer. Zero ownership for what they tell you. Zero customer service. I now understand I'm not the only one with the MANY negative reviews from customers with the same issues. Do yourself a favor and go to a different dealership. read more

Your tardy reply just proves my point. As an aside the day after this review Peoria Ford got my business purchased a F-150 loaded! This is regarding their USED side of dealership: Bought a used Ford F-350 Super-Duty truck ($74K) here in July 2021. They do what they call a "We-Owe" for items on the vehicle (that you the Buyer would complete the sale if (they promise to fix those items listed on the "We-Owe". I had One (1) item listed on this "We-Owe" document, a tailgate step. The existing step was damaged and did not operate as designed. Their Maintenance dept. Manager confirmed the step not operational as designed and said the part is just 5 days out. So he said he ordered the part and would Call me upon arrival. 2 weeks went by and I hadn't received any calls. I tried calling and left numerous messages with this Manager, and he would NOT return any of my calls. Then 3 and by the 4th week I followed-up. I was able to get ahold of someone else and they said the part is unknown arrival due to 'covid'. This doesn't support the Manager originally telling me the part is 5 days out and him Not returning my messages. It has now been 3.5 months and still this dealer is NOT Holding Up Their End of the Deal Per Their "WE-OWE" Document. If they actually do receive the part and complete their obligation on this auto sale - I will remove this Post. As of now - I Will NEVER BUY from here again! And make sure All my friends & Family are aware of the integrity of this place. read more

I had made an appointment about 2.5 weeks out. When I showed up at the dealership, I was informed my appointment was scheduled with an employee who no longer works there, and this was an issue with their 3rd party scheduling system. Every time you call to schedule an appointment, you cannot speak with someone at the dealership. Instead, you have to go through their 3rd party. All the associates were too busy to help me and were reluctant to help me, but I explained that I had an appointment, so I had someone in training check me in, and really had no idea how anything was done. When I went and spoke with the actual associate, Victor, who would be helping me, I was told it would take five days to get it all done. I was not given any updates. When I called on day 4 for an update, I was told Victor was out and that my car still showed under inspection. I asked to speak to the manager, but every time you ask to speak to anyone at this dealership, they only take down a message and do not allow you to speak to anyone on the phone. Day 5 called in the morning again and had to leave a message. I then got a call on day five that my car was ready. When I went to pick up the car, they had not completed the Zactac spray, and instead of saying they would do it this time like they were supposed to, I was told we would do it next time. Then I noticed damage on my car hood and windshield that was not there when I had dropped it off. Speaking to the service associate, I was told I wouldn't hear anything about repairing it for a week because the guy in charge was out. When I asked to see the manager, he wouldn't even stop doing the paperwork he was working on to hear my complaints. When the manager took pictures of the damage, I was told I would hear back in 3 days. He told me that email was the best form of communication for him. However, none of my emails were responded to, and any time you call they only take down messages instead of letting you talk to any managers. This is the worst service I have ever experienced at a dealership: zero communication, not completing all scheduled services when being told your car is done, and when damage is done, they ghost you. To fix the damage done to my car would be $1840. I would give zero stars if able. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

I took my car in one week ago for servicing as she was growling at idle and speeds up to 60mph. I was happily greeted at 7:30am by Anthony A. who listened so sincerely as I spoke to him about my situation. He asked clarifying questions, and was honest about the time it would take to diagnose my car. He provided my options to work in the Cafe as long as I needed to, or get a ride home. He also let me know I could get a voucher for uber/lyft to get to my next location. A few days later Anthony reached out to let me know what my situation was, and he answered ALL my questions with honesty and directness - no games and no patronizing! He gave me timelines for when my car would likely be finished, was upfront about pricing and eligible discounts such as student & military, and even let me know my car could get delivered right to my door. This evening I went to pick up my car, and Anthony was so jazzed to be giving me my keys back because he knew he had an ecstatic customer! He truly went above and beyond to make sure I knew what was going on, and gave me my girl back all nice and shiny. Now, the hands that made it all happen....service technician Josh G.!!! What a guy I tell ya. Not only did he quickly diagnose my car, but his wisdom and skill was able to streamline the work being done (bad pulley on a crank damper and multiple collapsed motor mounts). HE FIXED MY CAR TWO DAYS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. I feel like most experiences with service you get your car back three days late, but Josh is here is kick cans and take names. Stoked is an understatement. Seriously, I am elated to have my car back, and she runs so smooth and quiet, it feels like I am driving a new car! Thank you, gracias, danke, grazie! I will only ever take my car to Camelback Ford, and I'll be requesting Anthony and Josh every time! read more

Run as fast as you can away from this place. Read the reviews, it's a terribly run business and you're only in for disappointment. I dropped my car off several WEEKS ago for service and they haven't even looked at it yet. You can't get anyone to answer the phone, you leave messages, no one responds or calls back, no response to emails either. I called Ford customer care, they wouldn't help. Just not worth it. Don't buy from here don't take your car here, don't even think about it. You're only in for extreme disappointment followed by sadness followed by anger. Not reliable or a safe place for your family. Camelback put a new engine in our 2019 ford did a poor job installing it. We took it back several times but Justin said nothing was wrong with the new engine. A few months later the new engine was smoking and causing us to crash . I called them but no one will return our calls and don't want to take responsibility for this. We could have died! You should see my mothers face from the accident! read more
