This place is very over priced I never experienced prices like this It is not normal to pay $535 to replace Front only brake pads and have a oil change and brake fluid flush on top of it all it's a Nissan pathfinder 2002 And then has the nerve to tell me that I need washer fluid I mean he could not even fill the washer fluid! They charge over $140 an hour not even Porsche mechanics charge that parts cost $161 Labor was $350 For brake pads and oil change and brake flush On our Just found out they charged for an oil change And they never changed my oil these guys could of caused major damage to my car If I did not check my oil today!! read more

I took a break from going to Jerry at Campbell Automotive because I got a maintenance deal with the dealership.   They totally understand that this happens, and he warned me to beware.  He was right!  I thought the dealership would have my best interest in mind, but was I mistaken!   Once the maintenance deal was expired I returned to the place I TRUST 100%, that's Campbell Automotive.   I went in for a simple oil change and an (I don't know how many points) inspection.  My 4-year old battery had been leaking acid and my engine was sweating oil.   It was apparent that this has been happening for sometime.  While Jerry could have fixed this, he suggested I take the pictures he took for me to the dealership and ask them why I was never told about this.  He told me that they could possibly fix it under warranty.   It worked!  The dealership fixed everything under warranty and Jerry saved me money!!   Jerry's place is not the cheapest (or the most expensive), but I would bet they are the most honest people out there.  I don't know much about cars so I appreciate there knowledge, experience, and honesty! read more

I came in for the first time during a dire emergency after a botched oil change wreaked havoc on my car. After they started asking me questions about how old things were on the car, like many conversations that year, it ended with "This car belonged to my mom, and she just died. I'm sorry but I just don't know." Ever since, Harry and the team have taken such thoughtful care of my car. Each appointment, we talk about the plan for things that need attention soon but I'm never pushed into things I don't need. They charge more than fair prices for the level of service and care you receive. They track how old my brakes, batteries, etc. are so I no longer worry about any unfortunate surprises. Not only did they save my car from imminent death, but they keep it running great and keep me very informed of what it needs to stay that way. Today I was just in for an oil change. They know I usually walk to and from there so they made sure I wasn't walking there to pick it up in the rain. My windshield wiper has been doing something annoying for a couple weeks now that I forgot to mention to them, but of course when I just picked it up, it's "magically" fixed. I was referred to this brilliant shop by my grandfather, a long time, insanely loyal customer. When he heard I was in need of a mechanic, he immediately recommended "Harry and his boy at Campbell Automotive." He was so persistent in fact that I really didn't have a choice in the matter...old people are great that way, no? Like anyone who has ever gone to a mechanic, I entered the shop hoping I had chosen the lesser of multiple evils, and that while I knew I was going to get ripped off, at least these guys would rip me off for less than the next option down the street. Yes, I guess you can say I'm pretty skeptical of the whole profession. Fortunately, these guys are a bright spot on the greasy reputation of the profession. What I liked about these guys was their bed-side manner so to speak. I felt like a valued customer from the start, and they treated me almost like a parent bringing their child to the doctor...after giving little Timmy a physical inspection, they provided me with a diagnosis and treatment plan for his chronic condition. Okay, clearly a dramatization, but it was a pain-free experience nonetheless. I took little Timmy to Campbell Automotive for regular check ups and a few minor procedures, but alas I sold him and moved to the east coast and now remain carless. Harry and Jerry are the best! My family has been going to them since before me or my sisters were born (so that's over 25 years!). Harry was always so friendly when I was a little girl and gave me candy =). As I got older and had to start taking my own car there, I realized why my parents have never strayed from under Harry's wing. He is reliable, trustworthy, and takes such good care of his customers, its mind-blowing. His son Jerry has been working there for as long as I can remember as well, who can tell you (in plain english) what is wrong with your car. Example #1: Last summer my air conditioner started clicking when using the controls on the right. I decided I would wait to take it in and just use the other controls. Unfortunately, the clicking spread like an infection to the rest of my controls and then would click even when in the off position. I took my car to Harry and he looked at it as well as another minor problem, which I cant remember now. He called me and said that he actuator was broken and that I should take my car to the dealership since my car was still under warranty. He could have fixed it for me and charged me as well, but didn't because he knew it was the honest thing to do. Example #2: Took my car in for its 30k service and when I went to pick up my car Jerry took the time to explain everything that they did to my car. He also let me know that my tires were getting close to the "wear bar". When I gave him a completely blank look, he got down on the ground by my tires and showed me where it was, had me feel where my tires matched up with it and explained to me the dangers of having my tires be so worn. I thought that was really nice of him because most mechanics don't expect you to know what they did and they certainly don't take the time to explain how or why. I love Campbell Automotive and am so glad that Harry has his son Jerry to keep the business going when (and if) he chooses to retire. read more

Brought my 2001 Honda Accord in to have Harry look at the ac system for me. In no time at all he had diagnosed the problem. (another mechanic had broken a connector and failed to alert me.) He replaced the connector and topped off the charge on the system. All for less than other shops would have charged me for a diagnostic that may not have found the actual problem! To top off the awesome work, the customer service that Harry provides is top tier! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone needing some work done. I took my car to Campbell Automotive for the first time this week. I had a problem with my coolant system. Harry did a very good job repairing it and when I went to pick up the car they had run diagnostics on the car and explained everything that is fine with my car and possible upcoming problems, even the cracks in my front tires. All I had noticed is the tread was still ok and not the cracks in the sidewall. I will buy new tires next week. He even replaced the battery in my key FOB for free because the diagnostics indicated the battery was low. This will be my mechanic from now on. read more

The mechanic seemed knowledgeable, and he also was open to suggestions (I had the procedure on my tablet, as well). I am not sure how you become a customer here but I found out this morning that they are honest and trustworthy. I started at the Firestone across the street asking for a battery testand not only did they want to charge me but he wanted to belittle me for even knowing what spark plugs were (yes I am female). I called my friend who said to walk out because they shouldnt charge $30 for a battery test and then sell you an overpriced battery. I went to Campbell Automotive where the very nice Jerry told me my battery was fine but I may want to change it because it was the original from '04. He didn't have to do that but he did and he was more than honest. Thank you Jerry.
