I am not typically one to get them but they were warmed and well flavored. I liked trying the cornbread but wouldn't get it a second time. It was dessert-like and well flavored and super fresh. The broccoli is a fav I'm told. I'd agree it was good! It was paired with an aioli or some sort of mayo-based sauce. But it was on the heavier side. Not a healthy, lighter side quite like I pictured. Think deep fried. We of course had to try the s'mores. A little disappointed because maybe our coals weren't warm enough but our marshmallow didn't really "cook." Or maybe we were impatient. All in all, would recommend!
We made a reservation the day of. Around 6, I looked on open table and saw that the earliest reservation was for 8:15pm. You have to put a credit card on file. We found street parking nearby. I read in other reviews there's a public lot nearby. The cornbread was interesting - it came out on a skillet with with goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. The crudo and broccoli were my favorite. I would get those again. The broccoli was crispy and there was a sweet buttery sauce underneath. The cavatelli was interesting - it comes with a soft poached egg. I'm not sure I would get it again. The market fish was salmon and it was delicious. It was cooked perfectly. Our server Katie was super friendly and let us take our time.

Me and my partner came here because my partner wanted to try their charred broccoli. So we got that, the cornbread (waitress said it was a new item), and the market fish trout. The cornbread was easily the best I've ever had -- warm, flavorful, and moist. I don't like cornbread because it's usually dry but my goodness, this cornbread was anything but. It was the best cornbread I've ever had.The broccoli was also the best I've ever had. I'm not a fan of broccoli, but the cooks charred the outside to get such a nice, crispy texture without it tasting burnt. Meanwhile the broccoli stem was cooked to contrast with the crunchy-like bites of the charred head. The market fish trout was good, granted trout was dry and isn't my favorite fish. But I ordered it to pay attention to the other facets of the dish: the puree and mushrooms that accompanied it were the stars. At least the trout skin was crispy. Campfire has a rustic, cabin feel to it (I thought the arrows on the walls were a cool touch). Servers were great and attentive. I'd come back to try other entrees.
I really like that campfire works towards shareable meals, where everyone can have a bite of food and try new things. I would say campfire focuses on flavor blasts, with enhancement of the food through certain garnishes and sauces. The portions are not very large, but they are filling depending on how many different items you get. Our server was very kind and helped guide us on our journey. We had an outdoor table around 6:15 PM and it was absolutely gorgeous. Inside seemed nice too, but I did enjoy outside more due to the calmer and quieter atmosphere. I would highly recommend trying this place out with a group of four.
Been here three times now and every time it hits. Today, went by myself and sat at the bar, which is self seating and full service. Passed on the drinks because they start at $18, but went for the broccoli appetizer (incredible as always). Decided on getting the grilled market fish today, but everything I've tried there has been incredible and the fish was no exception. Service is always top notch and everyone is very friendly and approachable if you need assistance. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal!
Pricey, dark and may have to work on their available ciders, but their food is top-notch! We came here as a walk-in. A reservation gets you a proper table. Walk-ins usually end up sitting at the communal high top tables. It isn't too bad but a tiny bit uncomfortable for people on the shorter side (like me). The ambiance is fine glamping style so you do want to be just a teeny bit dressed up. Dressing as if you were camping won't quite work in this restaurant. The servers are nice enough but the place is quite loud so you really have to yell to hear each other. My friend and I ordered a bunch of things to share. We got the tomato, the carrot, the broccoli, and the pork belly. I ordered one of their newer ciders but it tasted more like beer than a cider. Among the shareables, the broccoli (which is the most popular) was actually our least favorite. My friend's top choice was the tomato and mine was a very very close tie between the carrot and the pork belly. Those three dishes were unique, absolutely delicious, very different from each other and had a medley of different flavors. The broccoli unfortunately was too oily and felt heavy and single flavor dominant. It wasn't bad but I can't quite see why people aren't about the other clearly superior dishes. We didn't get dessert here because it didn't speak to us. Pricing wise, it is on the pricier side. I guess that is expected for Carlsbad and given who owns this restaurant. Parking is in the public parking lot behind the restaurant.
I had heard so much about Campfire that I had to make a dedicated trip up to Carlsbad when I was visiting San Diego just to try it. Set a reservation for 5:30 PM on a Wednesday but when I drove by the restaurant around 4:50, there was already a line of customers waiting outside the door prior to opening at 5. There is plenty of street parking available so shouldn't be an issue. Inside gives off a very warm and welcoming vibe, perfect for intimate or large gatherings with friends and family. It is a little warm inside because the doors are always kept open and there is no AC which was rough for me as a Houstonian. All of the staff is very kind and professional. My water was always kept full and any dirty utensils/dishes were promptly replaced. After doing extensive research before coming, I knew I had to try to broccolini but with just me dining, I inquired if the broccolini could be halved portion wise and unfortunately they told me no. But thank god I tried it because it was the best thing I have ever had. It is flash fried, put back together on top of a lime sauce to look like a complete head of broccoli, and topped with peanuts. There's a reason why every table around me was ordering this as well. The market fish was the steelhead trout in miso, black garlic, wild mushrooms and scallions - this was also stellar, not too rich but also not too light. I was worried that Campfire was going to be overhyped but while it is a little on the pricier side, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone heading to San Diego as it is well worth the detour.
Yum! Finally tried this place! Split everything with my family. Steak, broccoli, s'mores, pork belly, corn bread, service was good and friendly. It gets busy so can be a little loud. Reservations recommended. Will definitely be back.
The service is too notch The food selection is plentiful We had the steak and it was the best You have to try the s'mores all homemade - great! A tad on the expensive side BUT worth it! The decor makes you feel like you are dining at a Campfire setting. Very unique and creative.
Second visit in a matter of weeks to Campfire and this visit was even better than the first! Began with a cocktail - the Contra Costa but as I don't like mescal they substituted gin and it was amazing! Best cocktail I have had in some time. Then we ordered lots of little dishes and they were all just delicious: The amber roasted prawn was out of this world and perfectly cooked!! The tomato with smoked blue cheese and fired bread was also just delicious! This visit the crudo was bluefin and absolutely delicious- fresh with a perfect sauce! The burrata was great, the broccoli is always a must have and finally for me the carrots were the best I have ever had! The meat eaters also enjoyed the rib eye with cast iron roasted potatoes. We had a table on the outside patio which was so great and the perfect ambiance and finally our server was amazing ! She asked if we were celebrating anything special and when we told her we had just 'graduated' a HR class- she brought us all a round of bubbles on the house which was a delightful gesture !! Cannot wait to be back here ! Very glad I work for a San Diego based company !!
We were on our way to San Diego and stayed in Carlsbad for couple of days and dined here! This restaurant truly sticks to the full "campfire" experience within its name. You are first greeted with a campfire smell as soon as you reach the entrance, and indoor the cooks and the staff along with the seating build on this ambience. This the campfire food, we ordered the broccoli in-house specialty which was truly great and filling alone for 4 people. We also ordered the Ribeye, with the $18 side of gratin potatoes which were great and campfire style. We also had the fish of the day which I recommend skipping. The staff went over and beyond with the service. If we ever come back, we would not get the ribeye and fish again though. Will likely get the broccoli again and try the chicken "campfire style".
We always have a beautiful experience at this restaurant. We usually have a reservation since we dine with family. They are great with kids and catering food options for them that are off menu. The food is always impeccable. The broccoli is excellent, cornbread, crudo is so delicious. I'm a huge fan of the Cavatelli and rib eye. I haven't had one thing from the menu I didn't like. They offer refreshing cocktails that are always absolutely divine, I had contra costa, Johnny Rooks, and the most delicious Carajillo I've ever had! All their cocktails are absolutely perfection! Highly recommended!

10/10 experience! Service was excellent, food was incredible, and the outdoor patio was the perfect setting to celebrate a birthday with my family. For food, we got the oysters, crudo, beet salad, and broccoli to start. The broccoli and the crudo are musts! For entrees, we got the ricotta cavetelli and the sea bass. If I can give more than 5 stars- I would! Campfire was such an amazing experience that my taste buds were not prepared for! We did one from each. For Trailhead we had Porridge Bread which was so yummy. For Kindling, we had Crudo and Broccoli. Let me tell you, the flavor of the Broccoli is something I haven't tasted before! It's so hard to pinpoint the harmony of flavors because it's so delicious and it takes fine dining to a whole other level. From The Fire, we had ordered Ricotta Cavatelli, Octopus, Chicken, and Pork! Service was great and our server was sweet! The ambiance is pretty loud as it has a large seating area with many groups. Just FYI! So delicious I have no other words. Living local and Having been to campfire a couple hundred times at this point, it's pretty freaking delicious and the cocktails are amazing. I've explored the menu thru the years and you really can't go wrong with much. The broccoli is amazing, the market fish is always solid and I'd recommend the Johnny rooks if you're a gin fan. Campfire is one of the few restaurants in San Diego that will give you a unique experience. The food is as delicious as it gets. You can order anything from the menu several times and the flavor and texture is consistent. There are several items for you to choose and share. Think of it as gourmet camping food. Also, the cocktails are killers and you can pick anything from the drink menu and is always spot on. From the cold to the fire dishes, each plate offers an elevated twist to traditional camping food. The broccoli and the octopus are some of my favorites. The service is fantastic. The waiter will walk you through the con pet of the restaurant as well as the dishes. Whenever a dish is made a different person will bring it to your table. The ambiance is welcoming. It has a touch of wood cabin nicely decorated. There is good music in the background but it's not too overpowering that prevents you from hearing a conversation. This restaurant is a must have and repeat. Take your friends or family and order as many things off the menu. It's food for sharing that will leaving wanting more. read more
TL;DR: GOAT. Campfire is unparalleled quality, service, and experience. From beginning to end, the dining experience was great - so amazing! Came for a birthday meal - make sure you make a reservation. With 8+ in our party, we went with the "FEAST" option :D I wish I had time to type out everything I loved about the meal but I'd probably run out of characters. The MVP is the broccoli. The food was amazing, but the service was even better. Our server was attentive and our water cups were always almost always filled. The highlight was the broccoli. It is more filling than you expect. I don't suggest the addition of the potatoes unless you love cheese. Definitely a lot of it. The whole restaurant was themed like a high class camping area. Water is poured from Yeti pitchers and the chairs resemble camping chairs. read more

From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the friendliness and vibe. When I gave the name of my party, an employee said "oh my God, you're gonna love it! It's my favorite table... are you waiting for the rest of your party or do you wanna see it?!" Of course I followed him, to a private bench out front with its own heat lamps and sliding door. It allowed for us to not hear the hustle and bustle inside! Perfect! We tried a bunch of dishes, and everything was fantastic: oysters, smoked olives, cornbread, lamb, market fish, ribeye with potatoes and raclette, pork chop, and smores. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink that was pretty and tart. I LOVED the service. Highlights for me were a card on the table and a non-alcoholic champagne (the other girls in my party got real champagne; our server was intuitive to my preferences and asked the chef to whip me up something that was off-menu! It was so unique, with za'atar, dates, malic acid, soda and house syrup... mostly noting it here so I can ask for it again). They kindly gave us the dessert because the waiter thought it took too long for us to get our drinks and the toast was on the house to celebrate my upcoming wedding! Our dinner took about 3 hours and we were never rushed. I appreciated our seating arrangement because inside was a tad cramped and very warm. Overall, I cannot wait to return! I want to try the broccoli next! Campfire- A place for family and friends to gather around the fire, return to the origins of hospitality, and enjoy a very creative style of cooking. Wow!! Overall great experience. Interesting and yet delicious food. Exceptional and attentive service. Cozy and calm atmosphere. A must try for the adventurous kind! I can honestly say I was very impressed with everything. It was a different dining experience and very memorable from start to finish. This is definitely not your typical restaurant. The food options and ingredients are different from what I am used to. I would not have come here based on reading the menu alone or after viewing the pictures. So you can say the food was out of my comfort zone and I would have probably ordered from the kids menu. Aside of the seafood items I tried everything. I was surprised to find I enjoyed everything I tasted. The combination of ingredients was unique and the flavors were unexplainably good. The servers were attentive, were always taking empty dishes and bringing out new items. Glasses were never empty and everyone was very helpful and polite. The inside decor was elegant and yet cozy. So if you're looking for something different and willing to step out of your comfort zone, this is a must try. You will be impressed!! read more
We had a wonderful experience here from start to finish. We came here on a Thursday night and it was packed! We parked in the back and got lucky with a spot. The hostesses at the front were really friendly and helpful. We didn't have a reservation and we were seated within 15 minutes at the communal high top tables. Our server was SO nice and extremely helpful with the different items on the menu, and checked on us regularly. We ordered oysters and cornbread to start. Oysters were delicious and I'm not one to usually order them. The cornbread was amazing! Loved the orange zest on top, so unique and worked so well. We got the carrot and the rib eye with cast iron potato side to share for our entrees, all was delicious and presented so beautifully! Honestly, Michelin star worthy with the unique and delicious combination of flavors. We finished with the s'mores dessert and oh my, they actually bring hot coals for you to toast your marshmallow (which was so fluffy and seemed homemade), and make your own s'more with the chocolate and graham cracker. So good and the perfect end to the meal. It's expensive but it's more than just about the food, it's also the experience! It's a perfect date night spot if you want to splurge or if you're celebrating a special event. Highly recommend! read more
What a great concept! We had such a great experience for our first time here! It has both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors as there were heat lamps available which made it cozy. The draw is the s'mores experience where it's served with a mini coal fire and homemade marshmallows. We ordered a few and had fun toasting them! Pro tip: warm the chocolate while you toast your marshmallows by having the chocolate right next to the coals - thank you to the genius waitress for that insight! We also shared some apps - asparagus, some cornbread, and some rye bread with their signature drinks. Everything was so well done and the service was awesome! The atmosphere was really cute and the staff were friendly. Really liked the fire pits. The drinks were delicious. That broccoli did not disappoint, the steak was burnt on the outside leaving a very bad taste in my mouth and was very tough for $97. Those potatoes are so good, a must have. The s'mores were good but the little fire they give you was not hot enough to toast my marshmallow. Overall I'm glad I went but won't be back. Much better restaurants for the money! read more

I've had several good experiences at Campfire in the past but the most recent visit didn't hit the mark. The broccoli appetizer is absolutely the best dish on the menu charred to perfection. The cornbread with blueberry butter was delicate and tasted like a sweet comfort treat. This time we decided to splurge and order the $78 ribeye to share. The meat was quite tough and the few pieces on both ends were basically only fat. The chimichuri sauce was nice but not enough of the meat was edible to justify that hefty price tag. The potato side dish that was an extra $18 was disappointing as well. The raclette cheese didn't mix in well and was more like a greasy layer with a flavor that didn't quite mesh with the rest of the dish. This may just be the wrong entree to order but for that much money I had higher expectations. read more

I've heard really great things about this place and booked a res a month out for my birthday dinner. We had to wait 10min for our table to be ready, but the whole staff signed me a birthday card (super cute personal touch). You order everything all at once, so we ordered the Porridge bread, prawns, broccoli, steak, and chicken. The good: The porridge bread with black sea salt butter was tasty 7/10, the prawns were a solid 9/10, and the broccoli was another 9/10! The apps came out in good timing, were hot, and tasty. The bad: When we were done with the apps we were notified that our mains would be out shortly, however 45 MIN LATER no one has come to check on us - no food in sight for my table or the one next to us. By this time, my food has settled and i'm done. When we asked a server (not even ours) to check on our food, she came back saying that the kitchen was "just going slow tonight". We hardly ate our mains and no server apologized for the long wait or lack of attention. I had high expectations about Campfire, but after last night I don't think I want to experience that again. We stayed a few days in Carlsbad and heard great things about Campfire and it did not disappoint! Recommend coming earlier right when they open or making a reservation online. Arrived at 4:45 PM and there was already a line right as it opened. We made a reservation and were seated right away, the restaurant filled up within the hour. We had the porridge bread, broccoli and chicken. All of the dishes were amazing! Porridge bread had a unique taste and texture and the butter provided was great. The highlight of our meal was the broccoli, which is a must try. Service was very friendly and informative, providing us with recommendations throughout. We were overcharged for an item but a quick email resolved the situation. Although it is more of an upscale feel and price than your standard dinner, it is definitely worth a try! read more

Absolutely incredible. Hands down one of the best meals I have had in San Diego county. The flavors were so well balanced. Like a symphony in your mouth. The broccoli is the best broccoli you will ever have in your life. Pork belly was sooooo tender, literally melted in my mouth. The crudo was insane. I can't even comprehend how something can be so flavorful but so light and refreshing at the same time. The pork chop dish also incredible. Everything on the plate just blended so perfectly together for the perfect bite every time. And the s'more left my mouth tingling in the best way possible. Well done chef Eric. The rest of your restaurants have made their way to the top of our list for upcoming date nights. read more

Food (5/5): So delicious! Definitely get the broccoli, it was seasoned so well and the depth of the flavors were amazing! We also got the chicken and the crispy skin + aroma was heavenly! Also definitely get a few drinks (I love how the alcohol flavor isn't strong). The cornbread was rich and divine! Overall, this place does everything right from starter to dessert! We were big fans of the baked Alaska and oyster which also had that Smokey taste. Service (5/5): The workers are so sweet and attentive! Lovely service! Ambiance (5/5): The place really gave off the vibe of gathering with friends around a campfire and having a fun time! I celebrated my birthday this year at Campfire. It is a lovely space, something like a repurposed auto body repair shop and camping motifs subtley adorning the walls. We started with the Grilled Oysters and Prawn for appetizers. The oysters are very lightly dressed with an oxtail dashi and pickled onion. The prawn sit atop aji amarillo and are supposed to have ramps. The appetizers were perfectly serviceable but they were not really memorable. The oysters could use more acidity and the prawns completely lacked ramps. Ramps are a very seasonal ingredient that are often only available in the Spring time so I understand that they might not have been available in September when I dined there. However, if they are not included on the plate, I'd want the restaurant to update the menu. The only reason I ordered the prawns at all is because I love ramps and was sorely disappointed when they weren't included. The best dish of the night was a vegetable side dish, the broccoli. It was a whole head of roasted broccoli, on chermoula with lime and peanut. This was so interesting and different. The broccoli had a crispness from the roasting, there was a curry-like sauce, and the flavors were bright. We ate this alongside a very well cooked rib eye with chimichurri and a chipotle chicken with yogurt and grilled eggplant. I was celebrating my birthday that night and the staff all signed a birthday card, which was a nice touch. I feel as if staff was deciding whether to give me a slice of birthday cake (I even saw our waiter walk past with a birthday candle on a plate) but I don't know if that's standard practice anymore because I did not receive cake. That part made me feel kind of awkward. I've been to both Campfire and Jeune et Jolie and like them both. It was a pleasant, well cooked meal. read more

Even when I mentioned on my review that'd I'd visit often, I only came once in May and now today. I do really like this place a lot that it saddens me that I haven't visited this place more often than I thought. I was surprised that we got seated at the same place where I sat last year and got the same server, who is Courtney. She truly is the best server that I would literally only want to get served by her only when I visit Campfire again. I will say the holiday cocktail drinks are much less than last year but they are still all so good. We've had five out of the six they had but they're all so good and Terry's Milk Punch has got to be my most favorite of all of them as it literally tastes like milk punch and I can barely taste the alcohol in it. The food were all so delicious and the broccoli continues to be my favorite. I do wish that I can visit here more often as I mentioned to try out more of their other drinks as well. But definitely highly recommend coming here if you want some good food and want to have a good time. And seriously, kudos to Courtney for giving such a great service and making it a great time when I'm here! read more

Back again coincidentally, a year to date from our last visit and floored everytime by the creativity and execution of every single dish. In the food scene, I've come to learn that "seasonal menus" seems to be a gimmick where nothing really ever changes but maybe an occasional addition to the menu. Fortunately at campfire this is absolutely the most exciting highlight. Dishes that are "regular" menu items are switched up to give it a new flare which is a stellar dining experience that keeps me going back. We love ordering a little bit of everything from the menu to share and experience it all. A special callout for my cocktail, the Kentucky crest, so good! Our server told us to chew on a bit of the greens that came in the drink and to try the drink again. Such a fun surprise! Trailhead Cornbread--calabrian chili butter. orange zest. 10/10 perfectly sweet, salty, fluffy, with that buttery crisp on the outside. The Calabrian chili butter was light but complimented the bread beautifully. So good that even this was a fan fav for our two year old! Oyster--warmed over coals. smoked oxtail dashi. pickled onion. We ordered this last time and it was one of our favorites. It didn't disappoint the second time around ordering. the freshness of the oysters, the subtleness of that char flavor, and the acid of the dash and pickled onion. Wow. I'll order these every visit! Kindling Crudo-- yellowfin. coconut. kiwi. lemongrass. thai. Oh. My. Goodness. Probably my favorite bite of the night. The freshest fish that's like butter. So silky and creamy! The freshness of all of the elements in one bite. The perfect bite hands down. Smoked Pork Belly-- rainbow carrot. pistachio. aleppo pepper. A super close second to the crudo, but my husbands favorite. Think burnt ends but elevated. The puree and complimentive elements made such a harmonious dish. The infamous broccoli-- I've got to say, this was my least favorite thing of the night which is disappointing because I remember loving it previously. The sauce didn't pull through like it previously did and was just showcasing an average mayo based aioli. The broccoli, while I know is supposed to be charred/roasted, I think our broccoli was overdone and just tasted burnt. Not in the rustic way everything else was, unfortunately. I actually couldn't eat anymore of it because all that was coming through was burnt broccoli and a mayo sauce. Such a bummer! The Fire market fish grilled-- asparagus. nasturtium. arugula. We don't typically order fish dishes as a main but wanted to give the bass a try. So creamy, fresh, and a perfectly light finish to our meal! Smores-- first time trying this. Love the fun rustic play on s'mores at your table, such a fun thought with the coals brought to your table for experience. However, practicality of the ratio of the marshmallow with the stick they give you and dying out coals make it difficult to actually make a smore. Again, fun idea but not all that practical. Overall, such a delightful experience and a must visit for diners seeking an exciting an elevated dining experience. Can't wait to visit again! read more
We had the BEST experience at Campfire last night to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. I had to change our reservation to a later time, and they were so accommodating. It was easy to reach them via call, email, or text (not typical for most restaurants!). When we arrived, we were greeted with big smiles and so much warmth. Our table wasn't ready yet, but it wasn't a problem. We went to the bar for mocktails while we waited. I got the Upper East Side, and he got the Firesquad. Both were delicious, though a little sweet and fancy with the tall glasses and rock ice. The ambiance, service, and noise level were all perfect. With the reservation change, they moved us from an outdoor patio table to indoors and even sat us at a 4-top so we could sit French style (side by side.) Such a thoughtful touch. They seamlessly transferred our bar tab to our dinner table, which I really appreciated. The staff, including our server, were incredibly kind and attentive, making his birthday feel so special (and making me look good in the process!). Now for the food: Cornbread: As a Midwesterner, I prefer my cornbread a little sweeter and more moist like "Johnny Cake," but this was still tasty... just a personal preference. Broccoli: My favorite dish of the night! It's HUGE, perfectly roasted, and the chermoula sauce is absolutely to die for. We took half of it home. Carrots: Cooked perfectly with just the right amount of bite and flavor, not mushy at all. Market Fish: A white fish (like sea bass) with an incredible smoky flavor that made it exceptional. I would have liked a crispier skin, but it was still amazing. Desserts: We shared a s'more, which was so much fun to cook at the table and delicious with perfectly melty marshmallow and cookies way better than your standard graham crackers. They also surprised us with an oatmeal cookie cream pie with a candle to celebrate his birthday. A thoughtful and sweet touch! For such fine food and service, the price was surprisingly reasonable! What an experience! I've heard from a lot of people that this was their favorite restaurant in Carlsbad and I have to agree. The theme was amazing and there was quite a bit of attention to detail to keep with the camping brand! The manager opened up our dinner with a hand pour of an off menu cocktail and explained how the dinner would go. Every course was amazing! The cocktails we got before the dinner were unique and hand crafted. The broccoli was probably the best broccoli I've ever had and the chicken skin almost tasted like bacon. The s'mores also didn't disappoint and it's such a creative way to serve them. Excited for my next visit! read more
Parking may be a bit difficult if you want a close spot depending on the time going there. There are more spots west of state street. Reservations are highly recommended. This is done by going to their website then via open table. Customer service here is top tier. Felt very welcomed and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all our questions. The staff were quick to refill our drinks, take plates away and ask if we needed anything else. We ordered the Oysters, roasted broccoli, market fish, ribeye, and cast iron roasted potatoes and s'mores of course. The roasted broccoli was amazing. The staff surprised us with this appetizer. Never knew head of broccoli could be this good. The seasoning, sauce and topping was savory. Roasting the broccoli gives it a different texture which went good with the peanut topping. The oysters were simply delicious. They are doing some magic with these items. The market fish was light and flavorful. Highly recommend. The ribeye was cooked medium rare. It came with chimichurri and extra salt. The meat was soft, tender, juicy, delicious, enticing, etc etc. The ribeye was just "chefs kiss" great. Couldn't finish everything as I wanted to save space for dessert. It would be a campfire without s'more's right. The marshmallows were soft and sweet especially after being heated off the coals they provide. One is the staff tips were to move the chocolate near the heat to soften it up. 100% great tip and we appreciate it so much. This s'more kinda ruins any s'more's I'm going to make lol. The first time I went here, the portions were small and it was expensive which was back when it first opened. However, some friends wanted to come here and I decided to give it another try. The service was great. It's a little dark inside but I think the idea is to feel like youre near a campfire so that makes sense. If you like broccoli, that was amazing and super good !! I didnt take a picture because I totally forgot. My friends ordered a bunch of food and I was full quick. I did like the the smore dessert. Super delicious and a tad messy but thats what smores are. Campfire came highly recommended by several colleagues on the job site, and after dining here with a few teammates this week, I can confidently say it lived up to the hype. We started strong with the house bread and charcoal butter--simple, rustic, and packed with flavor. From there, we shared a few small plates: the signature "campfire" (a whimsical nod to the restaurant's name), the charred broccoli, and the pork belly. While the broccoli was just a touch over-charred for my personal taste, it was clear the intent was depth and smoke--and it worked. The pork belly was rich and satisfying, balanced nicely by the other dishes. For entrées, my colleagues all ordered the fish of the day and raved about its freshness and preparation. I went with the pork chop, which was cooked beautifully--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. It's rare to find a pork chop this well-executed, and I'd order it again in a heartbeat. Service throughout the evening was top-notch. Our server and service assistant were warm, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, offering excellent drink recommendations that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's always a pleasure to be guided by staff who truly know and love the menu. We were nearly too full for dessert, but the mention of a seasonal panna cotta piqued my interest--and I'm so glad I said yes. Came here for an anniversary dinner and we were so surprised of how welcoming the staff were! Our waitress was Courtney and she was super nice and knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. This is what we ordered: Trailhead: - Cornbread 4/5 moist and topped with flavored butter and candied orange peels - Oysters: 4/5 nice flavor but also weird it was cold /warm? Haven't tried anything like that before Kindling: - broccoli: 5/5 soooo good!! Super filling too. It's a whole head of broccoli topped with a sauce and peanuts The Fire: - Pork: 3/5 it was good! But I wish it wasn't smothered in the sauce - Ribeye: 4/5 this was huge. We could've shared this plate. Nicely seasoned with a hint of charred taste - Potato: 5/5 sooo good Trails end: - S'mores: 3/5 very rich chocolate flavor. It was good! Might've enjoyed it more if we weren't so full Drinks: - Red Rover: 4/5 such a cute drink if you like strawberries - Godfather: 4/5 nice/unique taste During our dinner, Natalia the GM gave us free champagne for our anniversary alongside a card that was signed by the staff. "Campfire" is mentioned many times on the website, however I don't see any campfires in any of the pictures, nor any mention in the reviews. Are there fire pits outside? Is seating better inside or out?
There are options for both indoor or out door. There is a fire pit outdoors. It's called campfire because most of the food is cooked over a wood fire. You find out more info on their actual website.
I'm confused. I see photos and comments about this place being dog friendly but then I see others that say they don't. So are you dog friendly or not?

They're great! Lots of options and the staff is very knowledgeable.
Can you accommodate a peanut allergy? I see the broccoli dish has peanuts so I would want to ensure I can eat here safely.
The staff is super accommodating to any allergies and will ask prior to your meal if you have any.
For large parties do you have to pay $70 per baby/ kid as well?
Not sure, that seems extremely expensive for a child who won't eat that much. They have a kids menu though...

Nope, they got rid of it.

Why take the Wax Bean dish off the menu when it's one of the most popular dishes?
Maybe because it's no longer available, seasonal, or the vendor no longer has it for the Restuarant? Many times popular dishes are discontinued just to make room for newer and possibly improved dishes.
What is the Camp Feast that they serve for dinner?
Do they have a corkage fee option? Or do they not allow you to bring your own wine
There is a corkage fee if you don't buy the wine from next door at Carruth.
Are there and Vegan food options?
There are a few vegetarian sides or dishes that can be made vegetarian (egg & dairy) but this would not be a place for a vegan. They would probably go hungry.
Is brunch daily or just on the weekends?
Just on the weekends. There is lunch on the weekdays and it's delicious!
