Had a horrible experience purchasing from them. Went straight to campground 2 hours away same day I picked up new 30 ft camper. When I got to the campground, I had no keys or cable to plug in electric. They replaced a 50 amp circuit breaker to a 30 amp telling me it was broken and they didn't have one in stock. This led to the slide not being able to slide open (because now it had to be done by battery without having the 50 amp breaker) and caused it to keep tripping. It took several days to get all that was missing even after sending me a 30 amp cable when it was suppose to be a 50 amp cable for electric. Total incompetency. Then when calling them.....they had the attitude of not caring and putting me off. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. GO TO A MORE REPUTABLE PLACE. Of course I hear about all the horror stories about them after I buy an RV from them. read more

Now that we are on our second RV, we've learned a lot about the process. Although I would give a majority of the staff (management) there at Camping World a negative star, I do have to give Nick Pendell a very positive review. Nick would always return our calls about the status of the RV, and tried to push items along. Although a brand new RV should have had top attention on issues that arose from the purchase, that was not the case. It finally took talking to the General Manager, David, to get the requests expedited. After that discussion, we had the RV back and fixed that day. read more

I dropped off my brand new 2015 Montana Fifth Wheel for a scheduled service appointment on 4/18/2015. I waited for over an hour to go over the laundry list of problems with the service manager. He assured me that the unit would be done in 2 weeks, so I would not miss my vacation. He told me to contact him the next week to check on the unit, Left messages, NO CALL BACK. For the next 2 weeks, I left messages on every Service persons voicemail and even the store's General Manager.. NO CALL BACK! I got a voice mail from Mike Lenahan, stating my unit was done. So I then spoke with a girl in service who told me that my unit is still sitting in the back, NOT BEING WORKED ON YET! She assured me that it would be brought in by the following Wed.., I tried calling that Friday to get an update, NO CALLS BACK!! I then contacted Camping Worlds Customer Service, and they initiated a "ticket", to investigate the situation, and told me the store would call me back in 24 - 48 hours, guess what?? NO CALL BACK! SO.... I contacted them again, they told me that they are now contacting the Regional Manager to get to the bottom of this. I found out my unit is still outside, collecting dust in there storage area. Memorial Day is coming, and I may not be going on vacation AGAIN! I have never been so dissatisfied with a companies lack of customer service and professionalism. I paid A LOT OF MONEY for this Fifth Wheel, and can't even use it. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.. I brought my 5th wheel to the Kingston, NY location for service on 11/1/14 and did not receive it until mid April 2015. I called several times for a status but I kept getting a lot of nonsense excuses. Then when it was ready, they called me and told me a had a week to pick it up otherwise they will start charging a storage fee. When I finally got it home I realized that my steps were replaced and the bumper was damaged. I was never informed of this and I am not happy with the steps that they decided to install. Every time I called the store to speak to the service manager named Michael Lenahan, he was never available. I left multiple voice mails and emails with no response. It wasn't until I decided to send a complaint to the corporate website that he finally called me back. After speaking with him, he agreed to send me new steps and pay for the bumper repair since I live over 2 and a half hours away and don't want them to touch my trailer anymore. I sent him all my information and the correct model steps that I want which was really a compromise. I had to pick one from their catalog. He told me that the steps were ordered and they should arrive soon. Well 4 months later, I still haven't received them and every time a call the store again, he is never available. I send a second complaint to their website today and my next step is court. I only want to deal with corporate at this point. Let's see if someone can finally resolve this. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Every step of the way we had issues. I regret buying my RV from them. When we looked at the RV I noticed a broken handle and I was told by the salesman that it would be fixed when everything is checked for delivery. Guess what?! They delivered it broken and 2 days in the kitchen sink is leaking and they want me to take it all the way to the dealership to fix both things!! They were supposed to put up a curtain and they said the fee would be waived and would be taken care of. but on the day of delivery when I traveled to meet them at my campsite they called to cancel the delivery with the excuse that the curtain didn't arrive yet!! I gave them 3 weeks notice for this! Thank god after giving up on my curtain and with my fuss they did deliver it at the end. I am still waiting (it's been 2 weeks) just to find out how much an additional remote would be and still have not received a response. I called the dealer and was told I have to get it from where I purchased it. My friend was also buying an RV and went somewhere else after I told her about my experience. P.s. everyone I spoke with at the camping site said never get an RV from camping world since all they want to do is sell. They don't care about the customers. read more

Dread having to use this place! Try to make an appointment for service and there is no one available to take your call so you leave a message and no one calls back. Over and over until you drive there in person and speak to a grumpy, unpleasant person at their service desk. Pay for a 45 point inspection and they neglected to TELL you of some of the needed repairs. Pay for the repairs they told you about, get your RV and stuff doesn't work that worked when you left it. More unreturned calls. Go there in person and they apologize and tell you they'll check on issues and call you. They don't call. I'd rather sell my unit than deal with this place. read more

I made an appointment a month and a half ago to have my pop-up serviced. Just got a call the afternoon before the appointment that they have to reschedule because they are winterizing all their trailers. That is BS and no way to run a business. I will take my trailer elsewhere. read more

Terrible Service department..worst service experience ever. It took one month to get a date to bring my RV in for service..They held it for two months and when I was told to pick it up..Hardly anything was fixed..I am a Good Sam member and even the problems that would have been covered under the insurance..were not worked on.. They didn't have time. Two months sitting on their lot, it was so dirty , they had to hose off the windows because they were not safe for driving..DISGUSTING service..One elder man John, was the only one that had any knowledge of how to fix things...was too busy to work on it every day??? What? SHAME ON YOU CAMPING WORLD! You will never see me again nor will I ever recommend you to anyone. I didn't even want to give them one star...but yelp doesn't allow it. read more

Brought my 2016 Itasca Meridian in for a Satellite Dish install and a few warranty items. Was told to bring it in by 9:00 Saturday, October 24th and I would have the unit back the following Saturday. Well it is now November 12th and the rig is still at Camping World. I have made repeated phone calls and actually visited them (2 hour trip) this past Tuesday on my way to a business meeting in Albany. I asked to speak to the "Service Director" who is only 4 weeks on the job with no experience in servicing RV's. He seems like a really nice guy who wants to be helpful so he proceeds to tell me that the satellite dish is installed parts are on order and he has no idea when they will arrive. I told him how upset I was over this entire ordeal and now have another concern that my brand new motor home was never winterized and the temperature is falling below freezing at night. His reply was that he believes they winterized the unit and the skeptic in me wanted to be sure so his reply was "His service staff told him it was winterized and he has to trust what they say". That gave me no reassurances so now I have to email him today to see if the parts came in and will I have my RV this weekend. I'm not a gambler but if I were I wouldnt take that bet. Sales staff is wonderful but once you drive the unit off the lot you are simply a number. read more

So, I found a toy hauler at the Kingston store, but since I live in Baltimore I wanted to get everything settled before I drove up. Mickey the manager assigned me to Steve, who refused to answer his phone. Another salesperson Joe took over but it was very difficult to get a straight answer from. I finally decided to go for it and put down a deposit, but afterwards, Joe started getting squirrelly about when I could come up. We decided to delayed pickup of the trailer a week so the dealer could sort out their other sales. Once the deposit went down, it was clear my purchase was moved down as a priority. So, friday I drive up and stay overnite, our appointment was at 9 am. At 8:40 I get a call from the dealer asking to delay pickup until 11 or 1. I told them how we had just driven up, but Theresa in Service didn't give a flip. I told her if I can't pick it up at 9, then I'm not buying it. Theresa said fine and transferred me to Finance who never picked up. Joe calls me and tells me how they just want to fix a few things they found wrong last minute-more bs. I told him they had a week and could have let me know sooner than 20 minutes before arrival! He started talking used car speak and I hung up. I finally went to the dealer and talked to the manager who was excellent. She gave me a receipt for my deposit refund and explained to me that what happened was because we changed the size of the weight distribution hitch being installed, our original appointment was cancelled and the dealer never fixed it. Neither Joe nor Theresa told me the truth or treated me as a person they cared about. I didn't even negotiate the price! I was approved by my credit union but planned on using the dealer option. I even planned on buying the $700 hitch. None of it mattered because they thought they could push me around and because I drove up I wouldn't be able to back out. Well, I'm at home now and they still have a trailer. The last thing I wanted was to have been talked into a purchase and regret it from 300 miles away! Anyways, if you purchase a trailer here, make sure you mention this and make sure they've resolved their customer service issues. read more

I had a plumbing crisis, called on a Sunday, Bruce answered the phone and helped me out by holding what I needed until I could get there on Monday morning. When I got there Monday, the cashier and another salesperson who helped me were not just friendly, but honestly interested in helping me out. This is the third time I've been in, and every time it's been the same: helpful, knowledgeable, genuine. I've been to other Camping Worlds, but by far Kingston is the best. read more

Terrible place to buy an RV!! The fork lift operator damaged our unit before we picked it up. They promised to replace panel as soon as it came in. Its been a rocky road since purchase of a Jayco Pinnacle. A few managers later and it seems to be working out. I have had problems since dsy one and JAYCO did not want to help out, Arron the service manager went to bat for me and got them to allow his crew to paint rusty frame, and they did it. Then we find out that the hitch is loose and again no response from JAYCO so again Arron and his crew go to work and fix it, thanx Arron, but this was enough! Working with the new and improved sales manager we came to a resolution to get rid of the Jayco and move into a Montana. It has been a long process but Arron helped me through the entire process evening calling me back after hours to keep me up to date. It seems as though the NEW management team is trring to turn things around GOOD LUCK but so far so GOOD THANK YOU ARRON,JOHN G and JOHN P. read more

After a rocky start with the sales department and a few miscommunications and unreturned calls, we finally received great service the day we took delivery. Pete R in Finance is a true professional, very knowledgable, honest, and super organized. He even immediately returned a phone call of ours a week after the deal was closed. Logan in Delivery also corrected a mechanical problem as promised, and took the time to explain exactly what the issue was and how it was repaired. It is what it is, there are truly exceptional people here, and others that are not so great. At the end of the day, we were very happy with the deal and felt we were treated well. It's also worth noting Camping World is a National chain, which is helpful for warranty work. read more

I have been buying high end 5th wheels from campers barn for years they are now camping world. We have always used the same saleman(John Poll) He is awesome and I feel bad for him having to have to work at such an incompetent dealership.They promise you the world and then they have nobody to fulfill there promises there service dept is the pits even if they do get around to fixing the problems it is 10x worse. They have destroyed the wood in a couple of the rv`s(mind you brand new rv`s) I have sent to them to work on. I have tryed to work with these people to no avail after years of dealing with this dealership, I had to move on.Like I said saleman is awesome service not so much. Run as fast as you can cause no matter how high up you go to complain about all the issues it falls on deaf .Sorry John Poll I have moved on to another dealership please notify us when you get to do the samething love working with you. read more

We purchased our 2017 Keystone Travel Trailer in March of 2017. When we were purchasing the camper everyone seemed great. We were first told our interest rate would be 4.9 when we went to sign the papers and get the financing done it jumped to 6.9 we told them it was unexceptable. We were then told the best we could get would be 5%. The finance guy told us he would give us a better deal on camper. He dropped the price of camper $200.00 WOW. He talked us into getting the extended warranty because he was going to give it to us for his cost, so instead of paying $3400 we would get for $1200. So as we were doing paperwork the numbers all didn't look right he assured us once it got to finance the numbers would be all fixed. Soooo we get home and go over paperwork he added the $200. he was taking off the camper into the tax. The tax was 200 more then it should be. When I tried numerous numerous times to call he never once returned our call. We received our statement for our first payment and saw the numbers never changed. Our warranty was still at $3400. Once again tried to call and NEVER got a call back. I immediately called Good Sams and cancelled the extended warranty. We go to pick up the Camper and had our tour of the camper with Alan, he was very thorough and explained everything. He claimed he was new to Camper World and was aware of all negative comments about the place. He was going to change everything YEAHHHHH RIGHT.... He gave us his cell phone number and told do not hesitate to call him for anything we need. My husband decided that he seemed so honest and treated us so well he gave him a $60.00 tip. Well that was a huge mistake.. Our tv did not work from day one. We called Alan many many times and guess what nooo answer. Figures right. So we now are talking to George about the tv, weeks went by with no answer. What a joke. Finally my husband gets ahold of George. He now is confusing him with someone else. He finally tells us they will give us $350. Towards a new tv., go buy a 48" tv for $350 and we will reimburse you when you show receipt. AGAINNNNN NEVER HEAR BACK FROM GEORGE BECKER..... We decide to go up in beginning of January to get the money, of course that didn't happen. George says well I have to submit the paperwork WHATTT?? My husband calls Keystone direct and speaks with Alicia. She is awesome. He speaks to her yesterday and she has still not heard a thing from good ole George. Are you kidding me. People DO NOT deal with this place. They are the absolute Worst. Their Customer Service has to be the worst we have ever dealt with. If I could rate them -5 stars that wouldn't be good enough. Camping World of Kingston was recommended by a friend since my husband and I are new to the RV scene. In September we decided to go to Camping World to look at RV's and we actually bought a 2014 Class C. Being like a kid at Christmas it looked great to us and trusting Camping World was our BIG MISTAKE. Multiple things have gone wrong since we bought this camper. First thing two days after getting our RV home the batteries did not work in the camper. This is something I specifically asked the walk through technician if the batteries were checked. He said they were, guess not since they were bad two days later! Also I noticed a small soft spot on the floor and told the service man about this. He was nice and did help us with the batteries but said to bring the RV back after camping season to have the floor looked at. On 11/11 we brought the camper back and pictures were taken of the floor and we were told it would be two weeks before we heard back. As of 12/1 still nothing, so I started calling and there response was we bought as is and it will be 1600 to 2000 to fix the floor. I could understand this if it was months later, but I told them within two days of buying the RV and this is the offer they came back with! Also I bought the RV in NY and live in PA. It took me 1 Month before I could register the RV because there was still a lien on the title that they gave me. All I know is when I make a mistake in my job, I apologize to that person. The title person not only did not apologize but was nasty. Now we have to figure out how to come up with money to fix a problem that should have been told to us when we purchased the RV from Camping World. I would highly suggest you know a lot about RV's when u purchase from this dealer or buy NEW. Would never deal with them again! NOT A HAPPY CAMPER read more

Horrible service. brought trailer in to have repaired after a month I called and they said they did not receive insurance check.. I verified they had been paid two weeks prior. so they finally order parts which they say takes 2-3 weeks, now after 3 weeks they are saying they will be in at end of October. so 6-7 weeks to get parts? So now I am left with no fall camping with the family since they got trailer at the end of august and I might get it back in the middle of November in time to winterize it. I rate this as 2 stars, giving them the benefit of the doubt, due to the fact that I am a return customer to this camping world, and prior to my current experience, I was a happy customer of camping world in Kingston. Watch out for the numbers game when purchasing an rv!!!! Do not be afraid to let them know who's boss or they will walk all over you! Even if you are dead set on a particular camper at this dealership, do yourself a favor and shop around before you pull the trigger, and make sure you use any other dealer's lower prices as a powerful bargaining chip. That being said...... As soon as you sign the papers and they get your money, you become nobody. Customer service is an embarrassment, if even existent at all. After my brand new camper was prepped and delivered (by the way, their idea of 'ready for delivery' and mine are very different, as I found several Pieces broken or missing during my walk through) I returned home and noticed that the spare tire that was mounted to the rear bumper did not fit my new camper. Going on 3 weeks now, and one flat tire later with no spare...... I still have not received a replacement. At first they felt that they needed not take action at all, due to the fact that "the units come equipped with a spare already when they leave the factory" and "the issue may need to be handled by crossroads rv, because it is not camping world's mistake"..... So you're telling me that if you go to a ford dealership and purchase a new car, and something goes wrong with it, that you need to talk to the people at the ford factory to get it resolved??? I don't think so!!! Stand behind your product! And when I call, don't send me to umpteen voice mail boxes that never get checked, because that's where bad Yelp reviews come from! P. S. My sales rep is the only one whom I seem to be able to stay in contact with, and any person on the sales floor that I've dealt with in the 3 years since I first came here has not treated me wrong...... The problems are all over their heads in the management and service aspect, and I truly feel bad for salesmen and women, because they sometimes never get their chance to shine due to the faults of the rest of that place, and they spend a lot of time making up excuses for the shortcomings of others that work there. read more

Had a blow out last trip. Made an appointment for Wednesday the 3rd 2016 at 1;00. Arrived at ten to. Went to reception and talked to a nice woman named Ellen. She confirmed my appointment and then paged the person who was in charge of giving estimates for repair. No show. Ellen went to look for him and came back and said, I'm sorry he never came in today. Here is what you are going to do. Leave your camper here and when he gets back in we will look it over and call you. What the heck is the point of making an appointment if no one is their to do an estimate. No call to say , sorry our estimator is out today can we reschedule. Had guests from out of town staying in camper so I could not leave nor would I at this point. I took the day off. Lost a days pay. Disrupted my guests. Had to close up the camper and then go back and set up again. Thursday a guy calls me and says he is from consignment. Wants to know if we have ever spoken. I say no. He wants to know what my problem is with my consignment. My reply was looks like you guys screwed up again. I do not have a RV for sale. He asked me what my problem was and stated that that was not his department and that I promise you someone would call me the very next day being Thursday. HEY GUESS WHAT NO CALL. Only reason I gave them one star. lowest level the will let you give. Three years ago traded in a 5 time used brand new camper. bought a used fifth wheel. Delays on prep. could not get me out the door fast enough. Once they had me to the door. I asked would you like to know where my trade is and would you like the keys or to look at it. Camping World doesn't even deserve a star. When a dealer didn't even shake my hand or have eye contact I knew I was in for it. I drove 6 hours round trip with tolls, gas and lunch. Easily a $150 dollar day. When I looked at the trailer I drove to see it had a rotted roof, walls and floor. The cabinets had black mold in the them. They tried to sell me another trailer but there was no one there I could trust. BEWARE!!!! read more

This place is the absolutely horrible. I am the owner of a service business myself and I know a bit about customer service. I dropped my 5th wheel off with a list of a few minor issues that needs to be serviced . 1 month and a week past the due date .... Nothing was done. Mike the service manager is incompetent and the store general manager ..... I think his name was Scott would not return my call. In fact no one would return my call except the sales manger Charlie. Who said that my trailer would be done and ready for pick up ( 5 days after it was suppose to be done ) . So I took off from work and made the hour trip up there.... called and made appointment for inspection in Jan , so I would not have to panic as may vacation grows near trying to get a appointment , So I made one for April , stated I was having a problem with my brakes and did not no If it was the trailer, or my truck ,and needed to find out before my truck warranty exp. stated I wanted to drop it off on a Sat, for inspection of my brakes , and leave it for inspection for that Monday, they called me that Friday to tell me they where canceling my Appointment as they where back logged, and where not going to take any more in for 2 week's, so I made a new appointment ,and stated I was Pissed they had canceled a appointment I had made 4 months ago, only to have them cancel the 2nd Appointment because they would not check the truck on a Sat and wanted me to leave both with them for almost a week before they would even get to mine, mean time my truck warranty was about to exp. So I called Kingston Caps and trailer's , they took me that Thursday, diagnosed the problem as the truck's and inspected the trailer in 10 min, Got the truck in to ford in Kingston past the bumper to bumper warranty period explaining to them the problem I went threw with camping world ' 'and they put it under warranty and replaced the elec. brake .Now we have a problem with our awning , called them and they would not take me in till August so I called Price rite RV, in Montgomery they got me in , and my awning actually broke at the roller tube ,probable due to this winter;s snow and ice , and they are working with insurance company , we hope the awning comp, can get it shipped in time but it look's like we will not have it in time but they removed awning so at least we will have the camper, for our vacation ,finger's crossed it gets here in time ,Ann read more

We took our brand new Montana Fifth wheel to them for some diagnostic work for Keystone and they made us wait a month to bring it to them MJ was the most miserable person I ever seen working in her profession. Customer service is your lively hood and should be your main concern. She first off asked us why we were bringing it to them when we bought it elsewhere. Then after having it for 7-8 weeks we found they had done absolutely nothing to the RV. But were told a whole bunch of lies of what they had been doing none of which was true. We decided to remove our unit from Camping World Kingston NY and take it elsewhere as per Keystone's request. When I got there to pick it up they informed me that it had been vandalized and that our TV was stolen. They acted like no big deal. When I went inside to check it out I found mud everywhere in our clean brand new RV and the TV and mount had been very gently removed and all the screws where on the counter. It looked very fishy to me. All the remotes were removed including the blue ray player, fireplace, and of course the TV. What was also odd was they took all the owners manuals for everything and a waste paper basket from under the counter. As they climbed over the center island in the kitchen they gouged the dining room table. The service manager said oh we can fill that. I said I don't think so this is a brand new unit and we have never even used it yet. And all they were to do is find out why the floor insulation was moldy. And Keystone would pay them and then make a decision on whether it was to be repaired or replaced period. The vandals also climbed all over the bed and got mud all over everything but they didn't care about that you can clean that he said. This place should loose there Camping World Status because they don't live up to CW's reputation or policy. Mind you we are Good Sam Elite members and are to be respected as such. Not there they treat you like sh-t and just don't care... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!! you will end up in worse shape then when you went. By the way we are still waiting for our replacement stuff we were promised. We will probably end up in court and then they will not take things so lightly. And will pay for it all. This store is the worst store !!!!!!! I went to the store to see what i can pickup for my campers. I have a Truck Camper and a Tag along. I had a few questions regarding electrical and figured what beeter place to get answers than from the folks that work on these units. The folks in this store could not be any less helpful if they were all sound asleep. Not only were they not at all interested in what i had to say, they had no interest in asking someone in the service dept who you would think has much knowledge about campers etc. I tried so hard to spend money in this store however noone was interested in selling me a new Toilet, a light bulb, New Fridge, nothing. It was if they did not even care that i drove an hour to get to this store. I would never go back there, they were not only rude and unwilling to help but they are WAYYYYYYYY over priced on every piece of garbage they sell there. As a matter fact the only thing they offered to sell me was a yearly membership to Sam's Club. This place can go FuGG themselves, thanks for nothing!!!!! read more
