This place is a joke. I purchased my Class A motor home here this spring. It took 4 weeks to bring the rig in for warranty repairs (1st available appointment). It has now been 5 weeks with one returned phone call regarding repair status (all minor warranty repairs) after numerous calls on my part. I am planning to schedule a pickup appointment for next week to retrieve the rig and take it elsewhere so that I can have the warranty repairs done at my expense. DO NOT BUY A NEW RV HERE!! You will not be able to get warranty work done on the unit. DO NOT BUY GOOD SAM'S extended warranty plans...what good is it if you can not get service. A very dissatisfied former customer. read more

August 21, 2016 Camping world is great at selling products, but when there is a problem, beware!!! I have had so many issues with my camper its unbelievable. I bought a 10K pop up trailer in 2014. We had to take it back with various issues in which they fixed them. 2016 our outside speakers no long work and I'm trying to get them replaced. I have had to call camping world at least 6 times just to order the part. The customer service sucks big time. I asked about the warranty and they know nothing. I have to take my camper back up to them for an inspection. I have no problem with the inspection but the quality of products they sell is very very bad!!! I'm so tired of dragging my camper to Camping world every time something is wrong. They have limited information on the products they sale. I asked for the StarCraft's information and was told they will not deal directly with me. I have to deal with Camping world direct... wow!!! Unbelievable!!! To start with, if you are fortunate enough to actually have someone answer the phone in the service department, consider yourself fortunate.. My wife and I have owned several RV's but this is our first, and LAST time I will use Camping World for ANYTHING. We have a 2015 Sunseeker class C that water was leaking from the toilet inside the bathroom. I was finally able to get my appointment and took our rig in for repairs. I asked my service rep how long she thought the repairs would take. I was told water leaks were and easy fix and I could expect it back later today (Thursday the 15th) or Friday afternoon.. I heard nothing Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. I called Tuesday morning. Naturally, the service rep wasn't available so I left a message for a return call. Two hours later, she has someone call me and say the number she has for our extended warranty is not good. I called back and explained the paperwork was in the motor home. I asked why I was just now being told this and was told she was "working" on it. Finally, a week later and $300.00 poorer (because naturally, the Campers Edge Warranty, covers nothing internal on a 1 year old toilet) we have our rig back and are camping. I learned today that the folder that has all of our paperwork, including all our personal information, was missing from the cabinet I kept it in. I called camping world, and as usual, left a message. I was called back and told the folder was found in the parts department of all places. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I don't even know where to start with this place!!!!!! I brought my 5Th wheel to them May 6th for a few warranty to be fixed. I told themI had a camping trip planned June 5th and I was told by their service rep Mark Farnsworth that the turn around would be a week. My main issue was that the main bathroom toilet regulator was cracked and needed it fixed before anything. Well, after a few non returned phone calls and emails I drove down there and picked up my 5th wheel on June 3rd. Nothing was done a month later. Mark tried to place blame all on the manufacture. I asked about the toilet and it was not done. Mark told me that both toilets were broken that both regulators were bad ( funny because when I brought it in only one was bad) I asked if they had the parts in stock at their counter which they did. I bought 2 due to what I was told. When I got my 5th wheel home it took me a whole 5 mins to replace my regulator, check the other bathroom and guess what, No leak !!!!! Then I took the 5th wheel out and brought it back to them 5 days later. Until this day I have not received not one phone call nor email from Camping World in Valencia. I have called and emailed Mark Farnsworth Numerous times and have not received any feed back from him at all. This is by far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received in my entire life. I had to cancel one other trip we had planned before our kids go back to school. If you can avoid doing any business with this establishment do so. You will save yourself a major headache. I am surprised and disappointed at Camping Worlds lack of interest in standing behind the products that they sell. I recently purchased a number of items that totaled over $1,500. One of these items was an A-frame trailer jack (hand crank). I installed the jack, used the trailer for one trip, which involved minimal use of the jack. While getting ready for the next trip the jack would not raise or lower. When I inquired about this with Camping World, they were quick to mention that the purchase had exceeded 30 days and they would be happy to sell me a new jack. Without an extended warranty they would simply not help. It seems crazy that you need to purchase an extended warranty for a manual crank jack to be covered beyond 30 days. read more

Please save yourself all the future trouble and purchase your trailer elsewhere. The sales people are very nice and enthusiastic in order to get your sale and then once the sale goes through the customer service ends there. We have had a horrible time scheduling warranty service as the service department is overloaded and run too thin to help customers. Our appointment to pick up our brand new trailer did not go well as the service provider did not show up for the scheduled appointment. That set the tone for our future dealings with the service department. We do not get return calls or emails in a timely fashion, sometimes not hearing back at all. This seriously is a very poorly run business as customer service is not their priority. It's the sale. We will only be going back for warranty related issues and avoid them at all costs for anything else. read more

The manager Richard is awesome and Tyler in the service department is great. He kept in touch with us on a regular basis when they had the rig for a couple of weeks. I'm surprised at the bad reviews. Do not use the service department!!! Shop manager is an A**hole and the mechanics are incompetent.1st time I dropped off my 2017 Travel Trailer for a minor issue. When I went to pick it up several weeks later I found that they bent my electrical tongue jack and damaged the power cord. They apologized and said they would replace both. They did but the jack was the cheapest POS that they had (same one at Wal-Mart for $79.00), furthermore, the power cord was just spliced with the old one. I told them that was unacceptable and wanted the same model I had before. The shop manger was not happy, he tried to tell me that the one they put on was a much better model but he finally relented and installed the proper model. I foolishly brought it back a 2nd time (Stupid me). I had issues with a slide and the TV. To make a long story short they kept my trailer for 17 weeks (in case your wondering 17 weeks is not a misprint). They kept telling me it was fixed but when I went to pick it up all the same problems still existed, one of the times when I went to pick it up the power inverter had mysteriously burned out and they needed to replace that as well. Each time I showed up the shop manager got more rude and angry. When he got rude with my wife I had finally had enough with this bottom of the barrel service department and removed my trailer. Note: I took the trailer to another shop where it was fixed properly in 2 weeks. read more

I have never had to do a Yelp review. This is my first! Very unhappy with the Service Department. Made an appointment to bring in my RV and was advised it would be a week and a half to get the Trailer in. After the second week with no update from my service advisor Lisa Gibson, we went to see our RV and it was not even on the premises, nor had they begun to work on it. We found out that they took it to an off-site storage facility without our permission. We made several calls to Lisa and she never followed up with us on status. When we were able to contact with her for status, I was told she would find out and call me back. I did not receive a call back from her. Only after several calls made to Camping World to get the status on my Trailer I finally got a call that my unit would be done and ready for pickup 2 1/2 months later. Unfortunately they were unable to schedule a Saturday pickup because service is closed on the weekend. I finally went to pick up my Trailer only to find that the battery was completely dead and needed to be jumped in order to retract stabilizing jacks. I noticed the trim on the entry door I requested to be replaced wasn't replaced. I brought it to Lisa's attention that the entry door trim was not replaced as requested. She responded, she'll get the part ordered and get me a deal on replacement. This was after I already paid labor for something they called resecuring. I completely understand that COVID has changed a few things for all of us but this was unacceptable! We missed the whole summer and had to cancel reservations previously made. Please pay close attention to the sign posted with the Service Advisor stating "Not Responsible for Personal Items," to take them out of your RV is exactly that! They ransacked our RV and stole many items. It was a free for all. Very unacceptable but they had 2 1/2 months to go through everything and take what they wanted. But, because of the sign they went for it without any responsibility. They used our rest room and toiletries and put out cigarettes on our floor. These are the kind of people that work for this establishment! We should not have to take everything out of our RV. For most of us it is another home. Then you have to pay for the services before even getting a chance to look at the work you brought it in for. They charged us for a service that was were never even done. Very dishonest! I was trying to buy replacement fabric for my awning and get it installed. I spoke with Brandon, who took my information. He told me that he had to call back east for the estimate on fabric . That was on Friday. He said he would call me back "first thing" Monday. I didn't get a call back in the morning. So I called and had to leave a message for Brandon to call me. We are in the market for an RV so went to Camping World a few months ago. We walked around the rigs disappointed that only a couple were open for us to check out and no sales person around to ask. We returned 2 wks ago and found the gate was shut to the rigs, you have to go into the store to find someone apparently. On our disappointed way back to our car a sales man asked if we needed anything, so my husband said well we tried to look at the Rv's but the gate is shut, he said do you want me to try and get someone and my husband said No....so the guy said you are only here to moan about us then! great attitude and will not be getting our business. We have visited Rv dealers in Thousand Oaks, Ventura and Gilroy, and have been left to check out as many RVs as we wanted with and without the sales guys....we will buy from one of those thanks! read more

Purchased a new MH from this location last month. The sales person was very friendly but seemed a bit unprepared to explain and show features of the RV. The management was friendly and the purchase process was simple and fast. After our first trip, we noticed some bugs we needed to get worked out. The service was excellent and fast. They didn't even charge us for a few things that were not their fault. read more

A recent promised 14 day warranted repair took 95 days. They will not negotiate suitable compensation. All the repairs were not completed and they tried to charge me for the uncompleted warranted repair. They have extremely poor customer service and relations. We dropped off our RV 2 days before our appointment. Katie Warne our service advisor took down all the information that was wrong with The motor home. We advised we had an extended warranty that she would need to call for pre authorization. She told us it would take approximately 2 Weeks. After 2 weeks we heard nothing and started making phone calls. We never received a call back for the 1st month and a 1/2. After we got the phone call and was talking with Katie she had no idea what was wrong with our vehicle or that we had an extended warranty. I contacted the service manager and after a few phone calls to him I finally received a call back. I got nowhere with him so I had to call Camping World corporate and talk to Jordan Shoufer. She asked me to email what happened and after the 3rd email I gave up. She never responded to any of my emails. They probably hope you just give up and get your motor home out. After I picked up the motor home they didn't have me sign any paperwork they just handed me my key and said the motor home was out in the parking lot. I went out got into my motor home and found it was on empty. I put in $50 of gas just before I dropped it off so they wouldn't have an empty tank if they needed to start and run the RV. I went in to complain about that and they gave me a $50 gift card. I just wanna know what happened to my gas, why my motor home wasn't looked at, and why none of the management staff there could give me a courtesy call back. They are approximately 10 miles from my house but now I have to drive to Mike Thompson's out in Santa Fe springs to get my RV repaired. This place is a disgrace. read more

I received a mailer with their weekly specials. On the front page, it had a 4 foot folding table on sale for $29.99. Regular price was around $50.00. The next day I went to the store to purchase the table. I was told it is no longer available and that it was discontinued. Really? The ad was still good for another week. How could they discontinue a product when they sent out thousands of these mailers advertising this table. Furthermore, with a $20 purchase, you get a free bucket. Well, those were not available as well. The clerk told me they didn't order enough of them. She also pointed out that some of the other products on sale in the ad were discontinued as well. Who is in charge of their marketing? He/she should be fired!! I drove 45 minutes in traffic to get there. Who would think that a day after ad ad comes out, that there would be nothing available. I have purchased my last item from camping world online AND at thestore!!! I VERY much agree with prior comments. The service center here is extremely deceptive. I took my 2006 Trailite here to have a refrigerator roof vent/rain cap and bathroom vent/rain cap installed and sealed. They called me after several weeks of waiting giving me two options----replace the ENTIRE trailer roof at an estimated cost of $7,100, or just re-seal it at a cost of $4,500!!!! I am NOT exagerating! It took several calls to one of the service persons (they conveniently and repetitvely would NOT connect me with a Manager or Director) to nearly force them to only install the parts I asked. They attempted many times to scare me into thinking I had a leaking roof and they could not see the "damage" done until they ripped off the old roof!! They also 'forgot' to order the awning I had ordered for replacement----all this after holding it for three weeks! Oh, and lastly, they LOST my trailer keys!!! DON'T GO HERE!!! I have been researching Class C RVs and saw Camping World had a large selection so I drove out to possibly "bust a move". I walked in and was told that a salesman would be called but in the meantime I could go out to the lot and check out the RVs as they are all unlocked. Nice! Well I walked out to find that all the RVs are locked.. I found an employee who was surprised that they were all locked and went off to find the keys. He came back with gigantic ring of keys and begins the process of finding the right one. After several attempts, he takes off again to go get some different keys... Then I took off. My family and I had a wonderful experience with camping world Valencia! Our sales rep Gregg Zimmerman was professional, kind, and genuine. Which can be rare with dealing with any dealership. We brought our 4 young boys along and he was patient with us, was NOT overly pushy at all and was respectful to stay within the means of what we were looking for and envisioning. Throughout the entire process he has was on task, took time to check on us, gave us so much time and room to ask questions and process the entirety of purchasing our travel trailer! The manager ( forgot his name) was also very professional, and totally understood our life season and again I have to mention the time they allowed for us to process and ask questions! When we came to pick up our trailer Bev did our walk-thru and again.... a very pleasant , authentic and genuine experience! Everyone we have dealt With was very humble and to say the least just really cool and relaxed about everything! Took time To help, answer questions and also went far and above and asked what else we needed . If you are looking for a place to purchase an RV of any sort come Here! Worst sales experience of my LIFE! If I could give ZERO stars I would. Long story short, found a coach we liked and were ready to buy. Made a deal and were told that it was ready to be picked up and papers signed. They had already run our credit so we expected to drive in, sign papers, pick it up and leave. Sales knew we were on a time schedule as we were obligated to leave town in 2 days for 5 months on location back east. Additionally knew we were driving 5 hours from Paso Robles to Castaic only to show up and find that the coach was not even prepared, paperwork was not ready and would not be ready for 4 days (as that is what their turn around time is.) When I confronted Richard, the sales manager, about how they had just given us the worst run around EVER, he basically told me to F-Off and then told me the coach was NO LONGER for sale to us. I have never seen such unprofessional, unorganized, ignorant salesmen in my life. On a side note directly to Richard, one would think your mother would have taught you to never speak to a woman (or any customer) the way you spoke to me. After reading the initial Yelp reviews, we were hesitant to visit the Valencia location, however, we ended up having a great experience. My husband and I knew exactly what were looking for and during our first visit, we appreciated that we were not pressured to purchase right away, like at some other places. We were lucky enough to meet Jeff Dixon, in sales, during our first visit and liked him so much that we specifically asked for him when we were ready to buy. He was friendly and professional and very patient when my husband asked question after question. We ended up finding a trailer that is just about perfect for us and close to exactly what we were looking for. All financing went smoothly (special thanks to Tony) and everything was prepared and ready to go for us when we came in to sign the final paperwork and pick up the trailer. This location has a big inventory and I will definitely recommend them to people looking for an RV/ trailer. read more

I have a hard time when I see really bad reviews. I wonder if I am a pushover and easily snowed or just really lucky. I have been dealing with camping world for many years. This review is about this last year. We purchased a new travel trailer from camping world. From the salesman John on down I have been pretty happy. Joey the first first service advisor put in a lot of time fighting with the factory on some issues, some victory and some defeat. I am very pleased with the work he did. I now have Amanda as my service advisor, and it the same good effort and service. If I were to have complaint it would be with the manufacture of the product. when I purchased the unit I was told missing items would be taken care of. After putting my signature on the line big change in attitude by the factory. We reserve the right to make changes during production. Camping world tried to remedy these problems. Wake up camping world and smell the rating Your customer service is slow and your people are not qualified to handle customer needs. So why do you put trained people in these positions, I don't know. Your service counter is just a joke , one person says one thing and another person says another. Getting overcharged extra charges on things that are basically easy to fix it's worse than going to a dealership. I know that your repair staff is on commission so they want to get the most out of the Consumer. I hate being taken advantage of and I hate standing in that line watching other people being taken advantage of in front of my eyes. If you have a warranty work well for that they're not going to honor it and it's a big pain in the ass for them and they rather just blow you off. I will have to say there is one cool dude in the place but unfortunately we cannot mention his name we don't want to get them busted. But he's like the waiter that says under his breath don't eat the chicken. Approach carefully the service department and go ahead and buy the little bathroom thingies and cleaners but beware camping world is not your friend. a service department that cannot answer the phone nor follow through with promises is a service department that is lazy and is missing business out there. I used to be a top of the line service advisor for one of the busiest VW dealerships in the country, so I know what multitasking and true customer service is all about. the only reason i brought my rig here was because it was close to where it was parked and i needed the proper equipment to haul it that camping world sold. when being towed in i spent at least two hours attempting to get through to anybody over the phone. when originally calling to set up an appointment, I had to call over ten times, and was transferred to off- premises employees due to what they called "phone overloads" . I demanded the GM who was no help and promised that she would personally make sure someone returned my message. Well nobody did, so that GM must have no control over their own dealership . The day before the service I was finally able to get ahold of someone after calling another 5 times. I had to have the rig towed in and was simply trying to let them know it would be on its way. Nobody called me until the rig arrived and it was some other kid that had no idea about the fifty times and three appointments I had already made the previous days with 3 different people. Finally the service advisor Kyle called me back after the rig was dropped and after I had made all these appointments...... He advised i show up at 8am to get right in the next morning. Finally a plan!!! I happily dropped off my equipment on the morning of the service at 8am and went to a nearby la fitness to work out. I came back two hours later and my equipment that I dropped had not even been touched!!!!!! Kyle advised he had an emergency flat tire that i guess got priority over my waking up at 6am to make this appointment. it is now 12:30pm and i am sitting in the waiting room after my equipment sat until 1045 (so that's 2:45 hours wasted because of employee negligence)and I was being told that they kept breaking drill bits installing a hitch that i purchased from this parts store. So from the break room I can see this lazy ass tech drilling for 2 minutes and then sitting on his stool staring at the rig for 10. Why sell a part that your techs are not familiar with installing? Not to mention if maybe if they started when the appointment was scheduled, they would be almost done. So I got up and left and told them to store the rig for the weekend because I can't sit around and wait. They called me back an hour later when I was already back In LA saying the rig was now done. Kyle continued to blame the thickness of my hitch, and fails to realize it was his own fault for improperly scheduling me, knowing I was waiting, and thinking he can squeeze someone in before me that showed up with no appointment out of nowhere. When I wrote service, I would show priority to the customer that planned ahead. Emergency or not, I had a schedule to keep, and he thought his was more important. He didn't get me started for almost 3 hours and that is the direct reason that I am giving these idiots a single star. these people do not understand customer service and are missing out on so much business out there because anyone in their right mind would ever return to this place .,.. all of these guys including the manager lady that helped me all look like they want to hang themselves. Buck up kids... you work in customer service! Smile! Make people happy! Lying and attempting to bullshit a bullshitter doesnt seem to work for you guys, so I suggest the straight up approach next time! Let me add - THIS JOB CALLED FOR 1 SHOP HOUR PRINTED ON THE BOX!!! My visit to Camping World ended so quickly. We were so excited to finally get there to stock up for our upcoming adventure but we couldn't stay! It must have been over 100 degrees inside! Purchased a new custom built RV in 11-2014. Said it would be ready to pick up in 01-2015. Was not ready due to major issues (paint peeling off, dent in RV when it was transported over to their lot, generator failing over and over. We purchased the vehicle finally in 05-2015 after repairs were "fixed". One month of owning the RV, the generator is dying again. I called the service dept to ask them to get it fixed since the only reason we purchased it was because they said there was no longer an issue with the generator. Kathy in the service dept told me literally that they would be doing me a favor if they took my rv in to have the generator fixed and they couldn't find an appointment for us for another month and a half out and that i should find my own shop to fix it instead because it will take a really long time to fix it. Really?? We only signed the paperwork after they told us everything was fine. We also bought almost every warranty they were offering (like an additional $17,000). The nerve of this place to tell us that after taking an additional 4 months to repair this new RV, that they would be doing us a favor for fixing the lemon they sold us. read more
