Have a 2008 very low mileage Discovery that the slide awning blew off in the storm, tried to book it in there and some unfriendly woman called me and said my 13 year old rv is too old to work on, i said it barely has 40k on it and lived in California, she said the parts were not available, i told her Amazon has them, you guys stock them, she said absolutely no to replacing the awning. Well, i paid $250,000 for that RV in 2008 and was thinking of buying a new one or trading it in at Camping World, not now, will never buy another part, RV or anything else from these snobby people. We just purchased a new Forest River Flagstaff ultralite. Will pick it up on Friday so I may update this. Sherrie, our sales consultant was wonderful. She listened to our wants and needs in a trailer. Narrowed down to show us exactly what we were looking for. Never did we feel pressure to buy. Even when we had pretty well decided on a trailer she let us take our time to be sure and showed us a few more to compare. We feel like we made a very good deal on the trailer and Sherrie and the rest of the staff that we worked with were courteous and gave us the time and space we needed to decide on our purchase. If the rest of the process goes as well I will be ecstatic! Thank you Sherrie for helping us to find just the right trailer. I also want to give a shout out to Zack. His walk through of our new trailer was awesome. He took his time with us to make sure we understood all the ins and outs of the trailer. He was both pleasant and attentive. Also to Jason the tow equipment manager. He stayed late to make sure we got the right to equipment for our truck and installed so we could take the trailer home. I had heard some not great reviews for Camping World in the past but I have to say from start to finish it was a 5 star experience. In Finance Renee made sure we got the best interest rate and Rocky finished the paperwork fast and efficient. Buying our trailer from here was one of the biggest mistakes we have made!!!!!! We bought our trailer and soon after went on our first camping trip on the last day we loaded up and once we were all done we then begun to try and bring the slide out in, it was not going in , did I mention this was our first time taking it out. So yes it was not going in thankfully my mother and father in law drove all the way to us to help us get it in so we can finally drive home. I had to have my RV serviced and the customer service was AMAZING! I spent about 3 days there within two weeks as there was so much that needed to be done (I had to drive it back and forth to Marin and couldn't leave it there.) Everyone was so nice and helpful and took such good care of me. Repairs can be challenging and costly but they always did their best in dealing with my concerns. A special shout out to Anza, Lance, Rod, Fred Hanson, Robert, and all the other great people who were so friendly and kind. The repair work they did was EXCELLENT... so thank you to all the guys who worked so hard to get my ladder fixed, to adjust my battery switch-off connector and fix all the things that needed to be done. Called ahead of time to let Jason know what we were looking for and he said they had plenty of trailers that would meet our needs. I did say I was interested in their mallard model. He said that the scopes matched what we were looking for but they didn't have the one we were looking for in but would show us it on screen and could get it to us if interested. We drove 2 hours to meet with him. He was wrong on the scopes for the mallard we wanted but showed us another model on line. When we said we were interested his boss said it was in Arkansas and was a 2021 and it wasn't worth it for them to get it to us. Jason never offered to show us anything else. Even if it was a different brand I would hope he would look around other camp worlds to find something. Once he realized there wasn't something there that met our needs he seemed to lose interest in us. My husband works for a dealership that runs 10 dealerships. He is a driver. They go out of their way and out of the state to Accommodated their costumers. Would have been nice if they did the same. We would have bought the trailer from Arkansas. Had a air conditioner installed April of 2021. After all this rain we had, my roof developed a leak in two places near their install. It was water tight before. At the time while they were up there, I had them check all the sealant on the roof as I bought the trailer used. They said it was good. My problem is trying to get them to respond for service. After leaving three messages with no response, I got to talk with the service manager, he told me he would leave a note for the service scheduler to call me immediately. After about two hours, I decided to go pay them a visit. I met the service manager who said he left a note, but couldn't find it. He said he would write another note, or I could wait an hour for the service scheduler to come back from lunch. During this encounter, the two people listening and waiting in line behind me, said they were in the same boat, and were pretty mad. I finally just walked out. I will never step foot in that facility again, and would discourage anybody from buying a trailer from them with that type of service. read more

I can't comment on RV or Trailer sales or service, as I didn't buy my camper van here or have it serviced. Some of you may have noticed that RVs are having a big moment these COVID days, and it's difficult to find a shop that isn't booked out months into the future. However, the Camping World staff could not have been more helpful or kind. Katrina talked to the mechanics on my behalf, and got me some referrals that I called for my repair needs. I also purchased some items while I was there, and the two ladies who staffed the parts desk helped me find the exact electric adapter I needed. My sister recommended I try this store. Her family bought their "glamper" here. I thought every staff member I interacted with from the front desk to check out was friendly and helpful. read more

While I would give their sales staff 5 stars, their service department will cancel it all out. Shortly after my purchase of a motorhome in 2019, took it in for warranty repair. They kept it for 7 months when it should have been done in 6 weeks max, at one point telling me when I questioned their progress, that they had forgotten about it. Nothing happened until I notified the head office. Now, I'm having problems with the tow package they installed back then and they can't give me an appointment until 6 months out. I'm a full timer and have replaced my car battery 3 times in the past 5 months because of this problem. No one else will repair it because they didn't install it. They currently have my 5th wheel a landing leg broke in less than 2 years what it seem a simple fix have turn into cancelling 3 trips if anyone is a camper you can know that getting time off to go camping it can be complicated so taking advantage of 3 day weekends works perfect. My last camping trip the hot water heater stopped working. It took a few months to get trailer in but I have the extended warranty so no worries. Veronica was friendly, helpful and kept me updated on the status. Turned out it wasn't the hot water heater but the motherboard that blew. Veronica contacted the manufacturer and it was covered. After two weeks of the part being shipped and the repair, I picked up my trailer at the incorrect time which was my error. Veronica was welcoming and processed me out so I didn't have to come back that afternoon. Thank you, Veronica. Came to get propane and the lady at the desk said "oh there something wrong with the propane" I walked out side and one the the guys was walking by so I said to him "Somthing is wrong with your propane?" He said "We dont fill them here somthing to do with regulation" This is where I always get my propane filled. So neither of the two I talked too knew what was going on and fed me a line. We looked at many RV dealerships before buying our Jayco trailer and we didn't buy our trailer from Camping World because we got a much better price on a better equipped unit in Yuba City. Also beware the service department will not touch your unit unless you bought it from them. I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I purchased a travel trailer from here in February 2018. The first time I took the trailer out camping the AC it did not work. Mind you I was camping in summer and it was over a100 degrees each day. No problem, stuff happens, not Camping World's fault. I also discover a leak under my kitchen sink during this trip. New Travel Trailer, so to have two significant issues sucks, but again stuff happens. I call in September for a service appointment and I am told they are extremely busy and the soonest I can get an appointment is February 11, 2019. I know my warranty will be expired by then and I am assured that they will make a note and it will be covered since they cannot get me in. To be safe I am told to call Keystone and tell them the issue and make sure they will in fact cover the warranty issue since it will be slightly over a year. I do just that and Keystone is more than helpful and updates their system with the appropriate information. I take the Travel Trailer in on February 11, 2019 and I am told that it will be about a week. Three weeks later, I have heard nothing so I call and I am told I have to leave a message for the Service Writer. I get a call back advising that the sink is fixed however the AC unit needs a new part and they have to get approval from Keystone as it is out of warranty. I am told I will get a call when it is ready. I do not hear anything from Camping World for one month. I send an email and leave a voicemail for the Service Writer inquiring as to what is going on and get no response. I call again and speak to an employee, voice my displeasure and I am told the original Service Writer will call me back. This employee also tells me that they have been getting a lot of complaints like this. I do receive a call back from the Service Writer who says the warranty issue was sent to the Warranty Department on March 25th but that she will have to see what happened from there. I again do not get a call back. I call again two weeks later and leave another message for someone to call me back with an update and I get no response. I call back on May 7, tell the man in the Service Department about my issues and insist on speaking to the manager. I am told the manager will be given the information and will call me back by the end of the day. Guess what, no call back. I call today, May 10, almost three months to the day I drop my travel trailer off for repairs and I speak to the Manager. I am told he does not have any further information but assures me the original Service Writer will be calling me back by the end of the day. This business has some real issues and I would avoid doing business with them. I am going to move forward with filing a complaint and contacted local media to expose the issues here. Maybe when they are exposed to the masses they will try to correct what can only be described as a joke of a business. There are so many negative reviews of this place I cannot believe that I was fool enough to trust they might get their act together. To those who are reading and willing to give them a chance, DO NOT DO IT, they are terrible and the reviews are accurate. read more

We just bought a trailer from here. The customer service was amazing!! The minor issues we had were resolved with NO questions asked. For sales we dealt with Ralph. He was very accommodating and always willing to get us the information we asked for during the days of our decision making. When we did our walk through Norm was AMAZING!!! He walked us through EVERYTHING!! We had a minor issue when dealing with sales on an installation. Phill was called in and whiteout any questions resolved the issue and even covered the cost of the installation. We ARE VERY HAPPY!!! Thank you everyone for the GREAT experience!! We had yet another amazing experience at camping world! The costumer service has been above and beyond. We took our trailer back for a few repairs. Morgan Haynes went above and beyond to help us get started on the repairs needed. She was sooo nice and helpful!! We also had the pleasure of working with Norm again in service. We thought we would take our trailer for repairs here do to availability and convenience . Big waste of our time. After making an appointment our trailer sat in the parking lot at camping world for ten days including the weekend without ever being touched. We picked it up, drove fours hours and had our trailer fixed in 1 hour. I could give more details but it's pointless. We will never take it there for service again. read more

We purchased a 2021 Gulf Stream Enlighten Trailer in January of 2021. On our first trip we noticed a tear in the siding. We brought it in for service and were told by maintenance that the manufacturer did not properly secure the trailer to the frame causing separation between the walls and floor. The service manager said they would need to take the trailer apart to see the full damage, stating that it was structurally compromised and unsafe to drive. He requested a new camper be provided for us. After 3 months of waiting, we were told that instead of a new trailer, or a refund, they would be adding screws to secure the walls to the frame. When asked to provide a letter certifying that this repair would leave us with a trailer that was safe to drive, we were ignored. We have since had to hire a lawyer to help address our concerns. Overall, Camping World has provided the worst customer service that we have ever experienced. From initially blaming us for hitting something on the freeway, to weeks of unresponsiveness, and now forcing us to accept a trailer that was purchased brand new and is now screwed back together. We have held off on our review in hopes that we would eventually be treated fairly but as of now all we've been told is, "we've done the best we can do". We do not recommend giving Camping World your business. read more

With the "new" PG&E power shutdowns I was in need and had been looking everywhere for a specific Electrician recommended Champion Generator. Everyone in No. California thru Reno was OUT. A friend said call the RV places they may have something. I called Camping World in Rocklin, they were out but referred and transferred me to Vacaville. I have dealt with both stores over the years with LQ Horse Trailers, and had varying degrees of service. This time Nancy of Vacaville and the staff went way above and beyond. They were out but were getting a truckload of generators the next day. Nancy called me and A friend and I were on our way, the whole staff were so helpful it was wonderful, I renewed my membership, wrote it up and they helped me load my and my friend's generators in my vehicle. I live in Cool, CA and these outages have been so disruptive and I, as a Senior, have medical issues and need Oxygen, etc at night, a generator was a necessity. Plus I knew if I got a generator the power would be back on when I got home, Murphy delivered, and the power was on when I got back home. read more

The Service Department was excellent! Fred the service manager just installed a new front desk team to fix some previous issues and if they didn't know they were able to get me what I needed. Fred, assisted me with a door lock issue on my class A rig and was quick and courteous. A real life saver since I had the grandkids over and lots to do during the busy holiday season. The store is well stocked too. When I bought my rig 2 years ago the sales staff actually coordinated with the Sacramento Camping World for the same model that was priced lower due to being on the lot too long. I wish I could give less than 1 star. If you are planning to purchase an RV, DO NOT GO HERE! They have the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. And it's in ALL departments(sales & service). We purchased our NEW trailer in October 2021. We took it on 1- (3 day) get away in early December. We had water heater issues on that maiden trip. I called the dealership for some guidance. I was told I could NOT speak to a service technician. I was told I could make a warranty service appointment, the next available was May of 2022. Yes 6 months from the date I was having a warranty issue. Lucky for us, I had membership with Good Sam. I called them, they connected us with a technician who knew EXACTLY what was the issue , sent via text a part # and even helped us via text find a retail store to purchase the $25 part.. BTW the part was burned out when the dealership representative turned on the water heater on our 'walk through'. After we returned home Dec 10, 2021, we contacted the service manager at Vacaville, told him of our problem which we experienced with HIS service staff. His excuse was that the employee was 'new' and inexperienced. Later in December we received a heavy rainfall. We found a leak in this brand new trailer. Again contacting the dealership and after running into the SAME issue, contacted corporate office for Camping World. We were assisted by CORPORATE to get some action from the service manager and an appointment for WARRANTY repair for JANUARY 2022. Our trailer has been in the possession of Vacaville Camping World since mid January. My husband has contacted the dealership, Camping world Corporate and Heartland Corporate and ON GOING STILL! TODAY I asked the service rep, if our trailer is under some kind of structure or covered from the recent rains that have passed through, I was told they had MANY coaches with leaks and it was not COST EFFECTIVE for them to have all the coaches covered from further damage from the rain.. Basically too much manpower dollars to cover and protect our property (and others ) from more damage while in they're care.. .RUN FROM THIS PLACE read more

I never shop here but my husband and I were going camping and our camping chairs didn't hold up last year and I was in the market for new ones that would last. Robert greeted me and I was surprised to learn he was the store manager. He was very hands on, helped me find what I was looking for and sold me on the warranty so if they do break I am covered. We dropped off our new 5th wheel on Sept 10th for repairs and the service we have received from Enza was terrible! She is so full of excuses as to why our 5th wheel has not been fixed and who's customer service skills are horrible! I explained to her that when we purchased our 5th wheel we were told about the exceptional service we would receive, well that didn't happen until I had to escalate to the assistant manager Chris who has been exceptional in approving the items that needed to be replaced and apologized for the way things were handled. If you decide to purchase here beware when you have issues, you might need to escalate and just deal directly with management. They are full of excuses! We finally got our 5th wheel & I cannot believe the shitty repairs they did. The island needed to be fixed because the paint was peeling and I am appalled at the repair job! I have attached pictures. I cannot even believe they would be ok with returning it to us like this!! 2 other customers were there that day picking up theirs trailers and were extremely upset with the outcome as well!!! DO. What an amazing waste of time today. It got to a point where I honestly had to laugh at the stupidity I was dealing with. I called on Jan 7, 2016 to schedule some small warranty issues on '15 Cougar, I was supposedly put on the schedule for today, Jan 26 at 2pm. I would never have chosen Camping World in the first place because I knew they have terrible customer service but apparently the RV service business is full of jerks, I called several places first and was turned down altogether because I didn't buy the RV with them, but that's a complaint for another day. I was there a half hour early, went to check-in and wouldn't you know it, I'm not anywhere on the schedule. I was told I could drop it off and they would get to it sometime later in Feb or early Mar, unacceptable, my warranty is up Feb 5 and it's not my fault the scheduler is probably a Taco Bell reject. Round and around with the dip**** peon at the service desk, I demand the service manager. A woman comes over and is a total **** from the start. Short conversation. Completely useless waste of 60 seconds. Back to peon boy. More babble. Demand manager again. Twenty minutes later this greasy, washed up, failed used car salesman flags me over instead of coming to get me and introduces himself as Fred Hanson, apparently the service manager. Fred proceeds to continue the trash spewage that I already got from peon boy. Fred asks me for the purchase contract on the coach because, you know, people usually just carry these things around with them. I tell him I can fax it. He asks what the problem is and where I bought it. Once he finds out it's not one of their sales he's absolutely uninterested and just going through the motions. I tell him I'm having trouble with the left rear jack and two of the main slides. He obviously is having a hard time picturing these RV related items because he no idea what I'm saying. So I offer to show him the issues. He slowly walks out from behind the desk and out to lot we go, me 20 feet in front him because he's just not that interested and is clearly better than me. He takes 3 seconds to tell me the jack won't be covered, that it's damaged (probably took you longer to read that sentence than he spent looking at it). I ask where's the damage, he can't show me. Then I show him the problem with the slides and while I admit it just so happened that neither one wanted to act up in his presence he goes on to tell me it's normal. You know, the problem he didn't understand at the counter which I had to show him that he still didn't see because it didn't want to do it, ya that problem.. It's normal. Finally he says he'll go get peon boy to come on out to write up the estimate, I said yeah, go ahead, I'll be right here. Ten minutes later my dad comes out of the store to tell me they're ready for me to come in to do paperwork that I was under the assumption was going to be done outside. I said let's go, ****'em, I'll deal with Lippert and Keystone directly or I'll just fix it myself. I'll never be back, Camping World offers no service that I need. Not only did I waste 4 hours of my time but I also wasted 12 gallons of diesel going back and forth, for nothing but a headache.. It would be one thing is it was close to home but it's not. The problem with these reviews is that they just don't work with Camping World. Their service is packed full of coaches owned by people that either gluttons for punishment, don't know they have options or are first timers and they'll learn once their experience is over. That being the case they don't care if they have junk service, as long as the volume is there. This place makes Comcast, check that, SiriusXM, look like service champions!! Do yourself a favor, avoid this place at all costs unless you have absolutely no other choice. If that's the case you better make a withdrawal from the patience account!! I don't have one. read more

We just purchased a new trailer in July. We love the trailer but we purchased the Good Sam extended warranty and were told that it is the best in case anything happens. We have one very minor item that we need replaced that fell off. I have called and emailed Camping world multiple times. I have emailed Coleman, Good Sam and have not even a response. Coleman told me that I needed to go to my local dealer which is the Vacaville Camping world. I have contacted them several times leaving messages and emailing. No response. Buyer beware. Zero Stars! DO NOT take your rig to this location for service. I brought my travel trailer to this location on October 26th 2015 for routine service and to purchase some upgrades for next season. Today is January 4 2016. As of this date they still have not completed the work I have logged THIRTY SIX phones calls to the service desk - of which only 2 have been returned. They damaged my Hensley Hitch while moving the trailer, have not ordered the parts I requested and refuse to communicate in anyway that resembles a timely manner. Poor management, terrible service and non existent communications. We were ready to buy a new trailer next year - you guarantee if will never by purchased at Camping World. !! read more

Camping World in Vacaville is horrible! They sold me a very expensive 5th wheel trailer three years a go and recently we noticed a crack in the side. It turns out the welds are broke in the frame. They tell us it should never have come out of the factory like that. The extended warranty they sold us won't pay to fix it, so much for covering the entire trailer for 10 years. Who's responsible. Camping world, Good sam or Forest River needs to step up and cover the repair. They sold us a damaged trailer from day one and is expecting us to pay for it. Dont buy anything from them, you dont know what you are getting. Plus the service department has been taken 2 months just to give us an estimate after multiple complaints. This is horrible. I'm stuck paying on a trailer and repair on a faulty frame. Maybe be time for a law suit. read more

Wow! Good thing I read the reviews First before going to Camping World to shop for a RV. I have not read a good review yet , but lots of disappointed customers. I live close by , but will drive an extra hour or so to Sacramento . I will let my military friend to avoid this place . read more
