Parts and service are lacking in the communication department. They seem to operate on the idea that everybody that buys an RV has a flexible schedule, i.e. retired. Purchased on Oct 31, 2020, and still no replacement toilet or phone call, even. We weren't told about the broken toilet seal at pick-up, but rather 2 days later after we drove off the lot. Then a FULL TWO WEEKS LATER I'm the one alerting/educating service and parts about the need for a new toilet. Service guy Mike looks it up and says that the toilet hasn't even been ordered. So, I'm hoping sometime before the warranty expires, that I will get my part. I think I'm being punished for not purchasing their $4000 Sam's Club extended warranty. They "warned" me ahead of time that things could be more difficult without it. Hmmmmmm, ya don't say. read more

What a *horrible* experience. I tried (and failed) to order all new awnings for my 40' RV - a $4,000+ order. It's been The Worst customer support experience I've had in years - all I wanted was for someone to verify my order and ensure I was measuring correctly so the awnings fit properly when I got them. The whole experience was so bad that after talking to no fewer than 6 different people and getting absolutely nowhere I finally got the CEO's phone number (Marcus Lemonis) and left him a msg to have the head of sales contact me to resolve the issue... Big surprise - I got no return call. Now I can't even cancel my order and I'm having to dispute the charges with my credit card company. That's a nightmare all on its own. These are complete idiots and they have no right to my business. I'll never set foot in their facilities or buy their products ever again. read more

My brother and I decided to purchase a 35k trailer from this store in Vacaville. Despite the negative reviews I decided to shop here. I give everyone and every business a chance. The day we decided to purchase was great. Jason showed us around and answered all of our questions we had since we were first time RV buyers. Now comes the day to pickup our new purchase. Our scheduled appointment was at 10am. We were told by our salesman to hang out and someone would be with us in 5 minutes to do our orientation/walk around and install my new hitch and brake controller. After 1.5 hours we were still not seen. We felt ignored but we just waited patiently. Now 1 hour and 45 minutes later they explain that they were busy and couldn't give me a specific reason why were just left hanging for almost two hours. The orientation and walk around went well but then I was left hanging again after waiting for someone to give me an explanation on how to use the new hitch and break controller that they installed. Another issue was the lady who talked is through the signing of all the paperwork. She seemed very rude and mentioned to us "that she isn't the enemy here". My brother and had a long day waiting around and then she adds to negative experience! She also wasn't wearing a store required mask while my brother and I were wearing it the whole time. I was on the edge of just not signing anything and just cancelling the transaction . Jason apologized for the experience but it did make us feel Un-welcomed and ignored. We were there from 10am to 130pm. If I knew I would have packed a lunch . Camping World has great service only after they finally get to you after waiting forever. Bought a travel trailer on Sunday. Gave a deposit with a list of repairs to be done for pickup on Thursday. It's now Wednesday and nobody can confirm if the list specifically is done, the manager says he doesn't have the list but assured me his subordinates state it's all done. I can't imagine the list is in a lock box or hard to find. One would also think the repairs made would be recorded in a computer for record for anyone to be able to review with me. I also asked if I could verbalize the list on the phone and someone could just walk through the trailer real quick (it's like 5 things on this list that are visually obvious); he said no that service was closed and wasn't willing to do it himself. So here I am, now not picking up the trailer that's 2.5 hours away even though we have moved work schedules and taken the day off for this all to fall apart at 5pm the night before pickup. I wish I would have bought anywhere else. I'm sure I'm stuck dealing with this as I'm not getting my deposit back for their short comings. I could have given you the list, anyone with eyes on the trailer would have been able to tell me yes or no to things being done. read more

Terrible sales department! Was working on a deal for 3 days. Went over the NADA website with the salesman, was given a trade in price for my trailer, ($21K). Private party price was $26K. Was ok with it, knowing I was loosing a little money, for trading it in. They have to make money too... Then, when I went in to do the paperwork, the trade in price dropped $10K, from what I was originally told. ($11K) No discussion or reason was given, other than, "That's what the sales manager is willing to give you for it". So basically, they were looking at doubling their profit on my trade in! NO THANK YOU! Update: 6/15/20 Went to another RV dealer in Turlock. Found the exact same unit for $5K less, and they gave me the actual NADA trade in value for my trailer. Really good selection. But basically everything else about this place is bad. They charge you an extra $2000 over the sticker price if you don't take financing. They charge thousands of dollars to deliver the unit to the dealership (even if it is already there) and more than a thousand to inspect it for you, claiming this prevents you ending up stuck with a broken refrigerator. I did end up purchasing a new RV here after negotiating the price down something like $15k less than where it started. The purchase experience got worse from there. They pulled my credit even though I was paying with cash, and did this immediately after handing me a form and saying we just need your basic info and won't pull your credit. I found out what happened a week later when I got a letter from my identity theft protection service. The day I was scheduled to pick up the unit and do a walk through was a disaster. I was in the dealership for nearly 8 hours. Everything that could go wrong did. I won't list it all here but first they didn't have someone available to install the new fifth wheel hitch which I had already ordered and paid for and scheduled that day through the service department. They pushed and pushed for me to come back another day or leave my truck and call someone for a ride (I live an hour away). They handed me a copy of the letter they sent to the credit agencies after my complaint about the credit mess, and it had my name spelled wrong. I am still waiting for a corrected one. Tried to see if this store had a Shurflo Revolution water pump in stock. One Parts clerk was very busy on the phone. Another clerk was playing (texting) on his cell phone ignoring my self and another customer. The customer ahead of me finally was served by Mr. Phone Player. third person showed up to help, but would not look up anything unless I had a Part#. What kind of customer service do these lazy employees provide? Mentioned this to checkout clerk...who happened to be a Supervisor and said she would talk to them and would help me. We traded in our 2018 Bullet for something more functional. I called Camping World to cancel our extended ended warranty plan and was directed to Renee in the Finance Dept. She told me she was in the middle of a contract and would email me the paperwork to initiate the cancellation when she was done ..... that was three days ago and still no paperwork. Of course not ..... they owe us money!!! I'm so glad that we didn't get our new travel trailer from Camping World. It really saddens me to write this review. First I want to start with some positives- I found a trailer online, it was used and affordable. I contacted camping world in Vacaville and immediately a sales rep by the name of Chris responded. Initially he was quick to respond and even sent videos! He sold the trailer to my husband and I basically sight unseen. When we came to camping world to pick up the trailer Chris pushed Good Sam insurance on my husband for a 2nd time, even after he told him we had insurance on the trailer through Allstate. I put Chris on the phone with my Allstate agent of 12 years and he was combative and rude- completely embarrassing my husband and I. Only to tell us we couldn't leave with the trailer unless we purchased good Sam insurance. This did NOT sit well with my husband, our agent ended up "creating" a proof of insurance card which (to my knowledge) doesn't exist for trailers, to please him. Purchasing a trailer for our family is something that my husband and I have looked forward to for a very long time and by the time we signed all our documents the only thing we wanted to do was get our trailer and get the HELL out of there. *update* I received a call after posting and they processed my refund so I am moving it up to 3 stars. Thanks so much for calling me back to resolve the issue! When I first was estimating numbers for buying a trailer, I told the salesman what percentage my bank gave me. He went and talked to someone and got numbers and said yea we can beat it. Well, it was calculated way above what the percentage was(had I not double checked the numbers I wouldn't have known). I questioned it, and he went back to finance and then returned apologizing the numbers were incorrect. I put a down payment on a trailer, and then trailer was not here when promised, then I called a few times and they said it was 2 months later than I was told. I have been calling everyday for 9 days straight 1-2 times a day and showed up twice to get my deposit back. I was willing to buy a driving rv from them. I texted my salesman about wanting the deposit back and no return message. I have called, no return call. I dropped off a note saying what I wanted in an rv and for finance to Call me. I got a call from the number, and on the other end I heard someone cussing. I called back and they didn't answer. Since then, I've called daily. No call back. I'm really sad to see the poor customer service. It's still not resolved. I want to get my money back, and I may have to contact my credit card company to get involved. read more

I purchased a brand new 2020 Camper here in April. I purchased the elite membership with the assurance that this would get me quick "front of the line" service among other promised perks. Once we arrived home we noticed that many things had broken or shaken loose during the 1.5hr drive. We also noticed sharp metal shavings surfacing thru the flooring (after cutting my foot on one) and one of the wheel assemblies was loose (lug nuts were tight but the wheel wobbled). I understand that campers are cheaply constructed. This is why I opted to buy the elite membership and the extended warranties. This is my forth camper/RV and my first brand new one. I was looking forward to several stress/repair free years. I am disgusted with the lack of professionalism and service that I have encountered in my dealings with camping world. My camper repairs remain unresolved leaving me with a useless camper. Their service employees are over whelmed with service calls from elite members and are not equipped to handle the volume, yet the sales people continue to sell these upgraded memberships, with the promise of little wait times and better services. I understand why the service schedulers were rude and not accommodating. I have spent too much time dealing with the employees both in sales and the service center. During my interactions multiple employees mentioned that these issues are long standing ones that don't get addressed. This company has major fundamental problems. I purchased my 5th wheel in Feb 2020. I used it the first summer and took it in for service in December to get some repairs before my warranty expired. I took it in due to water standing on the roof, a misaligned slide on the entry side, the LED light on the awning fell off, and refrigerator not holding temp. After 4 1/2 months, they finally "finished" the repairs. When I picked it up, I noticed a slide that was not out of alignment when I brought it in, was not sealing when extended to the extent that there was a gap of over an inch. The LED light was not installed, the refer still did not hold temperature. Fast forward to Jan 4th this year, I took it in for them to complete the repairs. It is still there, with no eta on completion. In the 25 months I have owned the trailer, it as been in their shop for 7 months, more than 25% of the time I have owned it. They won't tell you if anything goes wrong with your brand new rv it will sit in their shop for months on end, they won't return phone calls or emails, and you s.o.l. it feels like we be been swindled. We got 2 camping trips in before our brand new geo pro had issues with the fridge and water pump and then while they still have it apparently now the slide doesn't work. We took our trailer in for warranty repair work in August (refrigerator cooling unit and awning arms). Nothing had been done when we needed it for Labor Day weekend. We were told to keep it until the parts came in. I called everyday with either no answer or no return call. When I finally got through, I was told they were waiting on warranty company. I called my warranty company to see if they could give me an update. Was informed by warranty company that they were waiting for Camping World to give them part numbers. My warranty company had to call Camping World to get things moving. We are now about 6 weeks waiting for the repairs. Was told that some of the work was not covered by warranty so we went to Camping World and paid $700 cash so that the parts can get ordered. I called three days later and the service technician had NO knowledge of our payment and the parts had not been ordered. We waited ANOTHER two weeks for the parts to come in. Dropped of the trailer was told should have it done within a week. After the week was over, we began calling with no answer and no return call for TWO WEEKS. We left to go on a vacation out of the country four weeks after dropping our trailer off. While on vacation, received a text stating it was a "friendly reminder" that our trailer was ready for pick up. This was the first notice that our trailer was ready. Upon returning from vacation, we tried getting ahold of the service department to pick up our trailer. No answer no return call. I called their customer service department called "Marcus' office" only after contacting corporate did we get a call from Camping World indicating that our trailer was ready for pickup. We get there, pay the balance and get our trailer. We also notice there are two HUGE scratches from front to back with gouges on vent and molding that were not there when we dropped it off. Our trailer was also missing the top of the propane tank cover. We were told that they would contact us to bring it back to get detailed to see if the scratches can be buffed out. Still no call. In all this process took from August 9th when we first dropped off until we finally picked it up on November 15th. This should not have taken three months to fix and still isn't completely over. Not helpful, in fact refused us service!!! As we found out it takes about 4 weeks to get an appointment for an RV just about everywhere across the country. As we found out after being hit by lightning in Mississippi. So we made our appointment for as close to Santa Rosa as possible. Our insurance is covering the claim, so we have claim #'s, multiple claims. All this was disclosed at the time of setting up the appointment. Including the fact that we were traveling full time. We were told no problem, be here at 9am on July 27 which we where. Now this is somewhat new to me, dealing with an RV, but I assumed it was like dealing with an automobile. I checked in with service, who I explained all my issues to during the walk around. The service rep excused himself to return with what I expected to be a contract to sign. When he returned, he explained that now I would need to pay 2 hours for a diagnostic. This shocked me due to the lack of notice, so I put of frustration said f@?k! At this point the rep expressed that he did not want me to curse at him? I explained it was a response to the shock not a comment directed at him. He stormed off. I then called State Farm Insurance to ask what could be done about the upfront charge. (Didn't bring any money). The claims person wanted to talk to the service rep. Now I could not find the rep, so the claims rep spoke to a women at the counter. The end result was that they need to give an estimate and after the completion of the work I would pay my deductible. The lady apologized and explained the service rep was new. It was now 11:30am and at 12 everyone was leaving for lunch, so I was asked to be patient and wait till 1pm. So as I sat in the parking lot, 90+degrees no AC eating my lunch with my family the service rep stopped by at 12:30pm. To my surprise he was not apologizing but in fact asking why I was still there? Shocked I explained the phone call with State Farm & that everything was worked out. He laughed, & said not without paying up front! This caught me off guard & I wanted to now speak with the women at the counter. After getting half way across the parking lot the service rep laughed & told me everyone is at lunch & that he would send out a manager. I waited till 1pm then I went back to the service counter to get to the bottom of things. Ran into the women returning from lunch. She was shocked at what I explained had transpired in her absence. She reassured me that everything was fine, that it was all a misunderstanding & that she would have the manager Fred talk with me. She went in the back to find him. When Fred came out, he was more worried about were I was parked & telling me he was searching everywhere for me so I could move the motorhome. I asked if the women had sent him to go over things and he said no. "David sent me" the service rep. Fred went on treating me as if I had did something wrong. Complained about wasting his day & refused to validate anything the women had told me. Fred went on about company costs, time, parts & that without a claim he was unable to estimate the work. I reminded him that I have 2 claims, & #'s for both! His attitude was short as if he was putting out a fire that I started. He continued to talk down to me expressing that he was doing me a favor by having a new service rep help me. Pretty much take it or leave it approach. Needing the claim #'s I went back to my motorhome only to find out that Fred had woke my wife & baby & had her already move the motorhome. I explained what was going on. We both agreed that it was a raw way to do business but what where our choices. So I went back in to get things going. I was shocked to find Fred still at the counter & over seeing things. Real short with me, he explained that he was gonna do me a favor and do the estimate for the body work & when our motorhome would be in shop he would then do the estimate for the electrical. Outraged, I asked why are you putting the electrical off? The electrical was the main reason for us being there & the body work was low priority. Now Fred got hostile with me. I could see the women in the back, but she was being kept out of the situation. At this point I asked if he (Fred) had a problem? He said no then asked if I did? To which I replied, yes. Your getting very loud & excited, making me feel uncomfortable. He then said take it or leave it! This made me even more uncomfortable. We have all our things in the motorhome, it is our home for the next couple of years. I explained that, to which he replied "have a nice day, we are done!" A day wasted, a wife & baby over heated and now we have to find another shop & try again. Lesson learned, make more than one appointment & be ready to be treated like a poor homeless person or billionaire for there is no in between in the RV world. Brought my 2 year old Starcraft trailer in for an electrical recall repair, when I got it home found that the spare tire carrier was bent badly (which I had to have repaired myself ) and a section of weather striping was pulled away from the front of it. Contacted the manager Phil Gummow who apologized but had every possible excuse as to how it was my fault and all but called me a liar and offered my nothing in the way of compensation for damaging my r.v. In 2013 I purchased a Pull Rite 5th wheel hitch from CW Vacaville and had it installed for about $2000.00. I had to replace the truck with a 2018 model. My kids bought us the frame brackets as a gift so we could get the hitch we had purchased from CW back in 2013, put into the new truck. CW refused to do the installation because the brackets were not purchased from them. Not for any safety reason, just because the brackets were not purchased there. The man who brought my RV from their storage area told me it was a "communication breakdown." That was an understatement, to say the least!!!! I purchased a 2019 Navion 24V in 2019. I waited to post an updated review because I felt my first review was clouded by my bad experiences with Camping World being so fresh. Buying the RV was a good experience. The sales folks were good to work with and the process was fairly painless. It was the after sale support and interaction that totally sucked. There were issues with the RV that took almost a year to resolve. I'm not talking about something that was broken and needed to be repaired. Or having to go back time after time to finally get it repaired. I'm talking about something as simple as obtaining a 2X2 ft panel because it was omitted during construction. It took 6 months to get the part actually ordered. Every time I called for an update, because I had not heard back and the part had not arrived, I was told "So and so dripped the ball. I will get it ordered today.". Only to find out the part wasn't ordered the next time I called. Eventually, I was told they couldn't order a 2X2 ft panel and they would have to order a 4x8 ft sheet. They did that, finally. In the meantime I went directly to Winnebago and explained the situation. They shipped me the panel. The exact size I needed. It's a standard part with a part number. There were a few other warranty issues that I ended up repairing myself because it would have takes Camping World a month or more to do the repairs that took me less than a day. All that time the RV would have sat in their service lot and unavailable for me to use. Other issues. The service departments do not return phone calls. That seems to be universal. I called multiple locations, explained my issues, was told I would receive a call back to schedule an appointment. No call back was received. When I called back and reached and reach someone I could schedule an appointment with, I was told they couldn't bring the RV in for a month. I didn't have a problem with that. What I did have a problem with was I needed to leave the RV there until they had time to look at it. Which was 3 weeks to a month. Even the little work service did to get my RV ready for delivery was subpar. Something as simple as a shower head. It leaked from the first day. The problem was a cracked fitting. They knew about the cracked fitting. They tried to fix the leak by adding an o-ring rather than replacing the shower head. Which didn't work. I could go on. Bottom line. I recently purchased a generator which started a escalating problem with my purchase. I took the generator home and could not get the key start to work so I took it back to camp world. They told me I would have to leave it for the day and possibly pick it up that evening but I was not able to. With the assistance of Justine Baugher, she immediately called a gentleman from the service department who came out and identified and repaired the problem immediately that's not having to wait all day for my generator thank you Justine he went beyond the call of duty and I appreciate that. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not buy and RV from here. We had our brand new GEO Pro out on our 2nd camping trip when the water pump wouldn't work. After multiple emails and calls going unanswered, my husband finally went down in person. After leaving it to be repaired and also sharing that the frig did not get very cold, we waited several more weeks with no communication. Again my husband had to go down there in person to actually talk to someone. They said the issue with the water pump was fixed and they were waiting to here from the manufacturer about the frig. We were going to go pick it up and use it while waiting to here about the frig when they finally decide to call us to say that the slide out is not working. Lazy and rude parts department. We were on a trip when the toilet valve started to act up. I decided to stop at camping world to see about a new one. the lady at parts told me she needed the toilet's item number which i told her I didn't have. never buy from camping world is my motto first off they charge you for uv protection that's already been applied to the trailer (supposedly) so when you're signing papers (do not agree to the 1,200 charge for the UV) they smile and are your best buddy while they have their greedy hands in your pockets we bought out first brand new 2020 39' greatland fuel 5th wheel toy hauler in 2019 and for the price you'd think you were buying the Taj Mahal lucky for us it was on sale but once you've stayed in it a week or so is when you see all the poor i mean crappy craftsmanship no pride just slap it together and roll em out the staples aren't even attached to anything sticking 1/2 way out had a huge leak just from condensation luckily my husband can troubleshoot and fix this but what about the ppl who can't it was a simple fix but to take it into any camping world to get it fixed is a 2-3 month wait and that's if you're lucky both over head vents broke ... husband fixed toilet keeps backing up pretty much all the rubber strip is torn off wallpaper is applied horribly it's to much to list i just find it hard to believe how these businesses can sleep at night i do realize ppl do what they need to do to put food on the table but the name CAMPING WORLD IS NOT A FRIENDLY WORD pix maybe petty but for the price we pay it shouldn't look like motel 6. read more

Everyone this place was awesome to buy our new travel trailer!!! My boyfriend called last week spoke to a few fellows . Secured our RV me made a appointment and drove 2 hours from Santa Cruz.
