First of all I wanted to say a big thank you to Camping World for taking us last minute, to address our fridge problem. Sarina was very helpful once we arrived onsite, she explained what we could look forward to and how long it could take. Once at our trailer, Sarina called one of the lead techs to briefly look over our issue. He determined it wasn't a fridge issue and found it was a wiring issue(we had a power tongue jack installed recently and wires got mismatched). So he quickly repaired it and had us up and running in 20 minutes. Because these guys are so awesome there was no charge for the work! We were very grateful for what they did for us. Camping World, Vacaville (CW) had my 2021 Thor Motor Coach Promaster 3500 for over three months, after I found myself patching a coolant hose on the side of the road on New Year's Day 2023 with only 7k miles. Regardless of all the bad things I have heard about Camping World, Vacaville - Service Center, and with little to no other choices, I scheduled my warrantied repairs. The main concern was the skid plate that was crushing the HVAC and coolant lines that were now patched by me. Camping World said that they needed to sublet these repairs to a third party (Tony at Midway) that they work with regularly. Approximately three months later they called to tell me the repairs were completed and that we would need to wait on the replacement battery, so I picked up the van while we waited for the battery and cables to arrive. I sent my kids in the RV from California to Arizona on a trip for Easter with the understanding everything safety related had been addressed. It took almost six months for CW to receive the replacement battery in that corroded from exposed elements. When I went back into CW a month later to get the battery replaced, we looked under the van to see that CW's third party (Tony from Midway) took a hack saw to the skid plate and never replaced the lines/hoses as CW had indicated were repaired and completed. The work looked like a kid in shop class was experimenting. When I asked the Service Manager how this could have happened, and if they confirm the work was done by their third-party (Tony at Midway), he replied "we don't question the work of our third-party vendors." Apparently, they do not question the work, or confirm that the work has been done before turning it back over to their customer! In all this time, I never heard from CW unless I initiated a response with countless phone calls. There were more electrical issues with the van when I picked it up from Camping World then when I left it. Please don't take your RV to Camping World, Vacaville. They do NOT care about you, or your safety! The horror stories about Camping World Service Center prior and post this incident are true. read more

Buyer beware. Had an agreement to purchase a 5th wheel from them. 5th wheel had a large scratch on the front that was very deep. I told them I would purchase as long as it was repaired correctly. Gave them a deposit with several conditions. That evening sales manager calls and asked if we would take the coach as is. I said no. They (salesman) agreed to replace the front cover ( not try to paint because it would not match on a year old paint job) and fix a few other things. In the mean time I made a deal out the door to include a fifth wheel hitch installed. I dropped my truck off for this work and did a walk around with the parts guy inspecting my truck . It is two months old and has 200 miles on it. It has never had anything in the bed and only been out of my driveway four times. Bought it just to pull the coach. Upon getting my truck I noticed a scratch about 18 inches long on the side of the bed like something was drug over it. I then opened the tail gate to see numerous scratches that look to be done by the hitch being drug in the bed. I told them about it and that we did a walk around with my truck in perfect condition and they said they did not do it. I also looked at the coach and they just tried to buff it or paint it and it does not match. So I canceled the deposit and our deal was off. Now I want to pay for the hitch and the GM is trying to way over charge me for the work. The retail ( I have the work order from them that the second in charge admitted were retail prices) was $2,856.00 which is consistent with a price I got from a different Camping World . He was trying to get $3,800.00 stating it was his cost. I have sent several e mail letting them know I will pay the retail price. No response. Worse I asked for my paperwork with my signature on it and the walk around which we both signed and he told his whole crew to not give me paperwork. Wow. What are you hiding? Please be careful of this guy. We were looking at other coaches yesterday and several sales people told us about him and the reason why they left. I just want to pay for what I got. read more

I went to camping world to look at used trailers. Nobody listened to me even when I was there. I asked to look at used trailers while I was there. All they showed me were new trailers and they said used trailers weren't worth looking at. I went there to look at them not to be told that they weren't worth looking at, it was a bait and switch because the phone call said used trailers and they did not show me used trailers. We went in there to look for a specific plug, we found it and was blown away by the cost, double of what we have found online. We then wanted to just look at what they had in new trailers. Wasn't looking to buy, but who knows, didn't want to waste anyone's time, just wanted to look. When we asked how to get to the RV area we were told we could not. No reason other then we needed a salesperson. I tried to explain to them we didn't want one, just wanted to look. No was their response. They sent a salesman out and we told him we just wanted to look. No- was the response, no reason was given just no. Then he asked us to follow him into his office. I told him we were not here to waste his time and only wanted to look around. No-was the response again. The this guy Robert I think his name was, completely ignored me and started talking to my husband. I asked him if he made it a habit to ignore the person who was talking to him. He still would not answer me. All they wanted was our info, we said no, and told them they lost a customer and who knows we might have purchased today. Customer service goes a long way when you actually give the customer a reasonable answer as to why we couldn't just look around. The lack of customer service was horrible. After my multiple unpleasant experiences at this Camping World location over the years I have come to dislike Camping World rather strongly. 1) Sales person I dealt with on RV lot was very rude. His specific comment that I found to be rude was, "Why don't you come back when you are serious." Oh, I was serious we purchased an RV the next day from a dealership in Davis, CA. 2) While I was returning an item in store the clerk was very rude and yelled at me. 3) Called to inquire about an RV wash, person over the phone was rather rude and it was a month out for an appointment to have RV washed. My wife and I wanted to check out some RVs, see what's new. We have one now and may want a newer, smaller solution. Upon arriving we were stopped from going to the lot without an "escort." I could feel "here comes the high pressure sales" from that instant. I told the sales guy who showed up quickly: (1) we just wanted to look (2) we currently have a great 5th wheel but it's 24 years old (3) and that I hate sales people - particularly when I am undecided.. Unfazed, he took our names and proceeded to shadow us and ask questions as we walked out of the building. After about 5 minutes of no privacy with this "chaperone's" intrusive questioning we just had to leave. This was literally the worst experience ever. I still have a bad taste in my mouth and feel aggravated and disrespected 5 hours later. Not listening/hearing your potential customer is NOT how to develop good rapport - important to generating a sale. In fact it's a complete turn off. That was the last time I'll set foot on that property. I hate to think how they treat a customer after the contract is signed. Before I purchased, I was told by F&I Manager Renee Reeves, that there is no any warranty covered new RV motor home, so she sold me 3 different warranty from Camping World. 1) Good Sam Extended Service Plan ($6987); 2) Motorhome Gap Protection -Safeguard Gap ($1495) 3) RV Appearance Protection Exterior &Interior --METROTECH ($2698) Total amount: $11180 I don't want to pay duplicate warranty and request refund , called & Email everyday，did not get any response. Two days ago, the stairs on my Fleetwood Bounder quit working. I am almost 73 years old and for me to climb up into my motorhome is really tuff. I need those stairs. Anyway, I stopped at Camping World in Vacaville on the off chance that I could get someone to see if they could be fixed. Victor at the service desk said that he would get someone to come out and take a look. He sent this nice man named Nick. He could have said sorry lady. Make an appt. for some time next week. But he didn't. He tried all sorts of stuff, but nothing was working. After about 5 trips back into the shop, he finally said Well, let's see. Sure enough those stairs came down as if from heaven! When I went in to see how much I owed them, Victor said it's on us. These people were kind to me and for that I am so grateful. read more

If there was a way to give zero stars I would. While looking for an RV the sales guy shows us one where the number is all a mess and clearly had an accident. He stated they would fix it and the buyer would never know! I calmly asked if that happens often he said oh yeah it's fine we just fix em up. He was clearly very comfortable with us and went on to tell us about two employees that work there have sex in some of the new trailers and motor homes it's a thrill I guess he said in trying to not get caught. I should have read the reviews Before bringing my RV here, they kept my RV for four months didn't work on anything that I ask him to work on and it took another two months to get it back. I have been waiting an hour to pick it up today and no one knows where it is. So disappointing because you would figure that camping world would make your camping life are only in a trailer in RV easier, but they do not. Service department dropped the ball on our RV. Like many others, the experience we had was horrible. Not to say that the sales staff wasn't efficient and knowledgeable enough, but as soon as the sales side gets started - BAIT AND SWITCH...all...day...long. I think it took a total of 3 visits and as many follow-ups to complete our purchase, STILL in need of repairs, which just left us feeling yucky. There was a bunch online that we wanted to see supposedly they were all sold by the time we got there even though we had an appointment to see them they didn't let us know that they were sold and we drove an hour out and had nothing under $25,000 even though their website shows quite a few of them under $25,000... They just try to bate you to spend more. Don't forget always check the roof for wholes and make sure it's well sealed. read more

We purchased our RV at Camping World in July 2022. After taking camping once, we discovered some manufacturing problems that needed to be fixed. We scheduled an appointment and took our RV into Camping World on December 6th. We still do not have our RV back -- more than 6 months later. We first contacted the service department and got the run around. Then we called the GM who said he would get to the root of the problem and call us back -- he has not. We also contacted Camping World Corporate who said they would resolve the issue...they did not and we have still got the run around form Camping World -- The technician Andrew and the supervisor Brad are the worse. We discovered that they had our RV for two months before they even ordered the parts! This is the worse RV repair business and customer service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR RV HERE UNLESS YOU WANT IT STORED FOR MORE THAN 6 MONTHES! Who knows we may not get it back for months more. I wish I could give them lower than a 1 star. read more

She lied to us about being a manager and lied about a mobile repair service wouldn't be able to diagnose an air conditioner problem properly. It had to be brought into camping world. Filled out paperwork and put down a $1k deposit back in January, it's now March and we are still WAITING!!!! When we signed the paperwork they made it sound like they could get one from another dealer so we figured it would get over to Vacaville in a week or two! Nope it's been almost two months! Camping World Vacaville is not place to buy an RV , bought my New RV couple months ago and was delivered , 2 weeks later I finally able to install electricity and at that moment everything works except water heater and the Fridge was acting up. The sales representative Who by the way was very nice during the sale but after that no help at all, All Chris says is I can't do anything , Even the Manager ( Mr Dennis ) we emailed but no answer at all , So I was told to call online tech and they guide me to inspect and crawl under the electrical compartment and check every fuses but not able to fix the water heater and fridge , I called their service department to set up appointment May 17 for June 3 and they never showed up talked to Savannah and she says she will get back with me but never did , left her a message twice and another service lady left her a message for me still no call from savanna , June 12 still no call from them I just need for them to fix this brand new RV Pls. Took 3 mos to get a service appointment, then had to wait another 2 mos while it was being serviced. After no call, I finally made a call to check the status and was told they couldn't find the ticket. Finally went to pick up my trailer to find it in worse condition than when I dropped it off. Dirty, batteries dead, water heater door latch broke (which they tried to charge me for) and open, missing junction box plate, battery locks unlocked and hanging from the cable, and not all of the service paid for was completed. I got in touch with a "conflict resolutionist" but have not heard from herein 3 weeks, no conflicts have been resolved. Stay away! read more

Although my purchasing experience with Jake was above and beyond, everything since has been nothing but problems. I picked up my almost $100,000.00 trailer the first weekend in October. I am StILL waiting for issues to be fixed. I notified them that my slideouts were leaking. I now have a horrible smell in my trailer from moisture and mold. I still don't even have keys to my sliding door. Their workers were supposed to have fixed the leaks months ago but instead they forcefully jammed a key in my lock and broke it off, banged a ladder against my trailer, broke my kitchen sink along with a gouge in the flooring among other things and I have picture and videos to prove it. My DIL was breastfeeding my 4 week old grandson on the sofa bed (first time using it) and it collapsed causing her to fall into the couch with the baby. I bought a new 2023 trailer Coleman last year and paid over 45000 dollars and have still not been able to get the back up camera to work and now it's over a year old so the warranty does not cover it anymore I just warn people buying from Camping World that the options that are on the RV like the Gateway WI FI are not included or the tire pressure monitoring system or the back up camera you would think spending that kind of money that all of the toys would be included not to mention it's been in there shop twice now buyers beware read more

I do not know how they are still in business. We have had nothing but headaches from both service and finance. They are probably the worst company we have ever worked with in our entire life. They make promises and then never deliver on their promise. The warranty is a joke. We paid almost $10,000 for a warranty and it has covered nothing. The service department has had our rig for months and they did nothing. They told us they were waiting for warranty to approve the items but in reality I don't think they ever made the call to the warranty department. Service allegedly fixed a leak for us and then when it rained again, the leak was deemed to have not been fixed. It is now our problem because they didn't fix it correctly in the first place. I placed a call to the service manager several times, and never heard anything back. They are terrible. read more

I brought my new (July 2020) RV in for warranty service and was told the heater (which has never worked) would be repaired in FIVE days. I waited for a phone call that never came. After SIX days, I called Camping World and was told they hadn't even LOOKED at my RV, let alone repaired it. These people are completely useless. Do not buy anything from them. read more

The sales department was good. Got us in our trailer and on our way. The quality of the trailer and the warranty service were non existent. The front desk person was incredibility rude. We spoke with the service department about this and was assured the message would be relayed to the manager. Don't know the outcome as no one at this location seems to know how to pick up the phone and update their customers on where or what is going on with your coach. An appointment just to get an estimate took two months for an open date. Took it in for my appointment on August 18 and it is now September 15, and still no estimate has been done. I was told it would take about a week (for the estimate, not the actual work) and it's been almost a month. Service never answers the phone and it just rings back to the receptionist. Several times I have been promised a return call and no one has called me back. Everyone is very polite and nice, just nothing gets done. Very very poor follow through and customer service. Don't waste your time. So...I am standing in Camping World as I write this to finally pick up my RV. I'm looking at I wrote back on September 15 and wanted to proved an update. Today is December 16 and it ultimately took over a month to get an estimate and 3 months for them to complete them. The repairs consisted of replacing to trim pieces, adjusting the door that didnt close smoothly, replacing the TV antennae, and tapping an extra line into the propane tank for a portable grill. That's all. Repairs were done properly and going over the unit and handling the transaction went smooth Like a bad relationship you keep going back to thinking it will get better, I've continued to shop there for small orders. The wait times both on the phone, and at the counter are terrible. Can't blame it on COVID because they were like this before COVID and have never improved. Staff are friendly and helpful, so this is a management issue. The store is poorly staffed and managed and that is the GMs responsibility. Today's endless hold for the Parts Department after repeated attempts is the last time for me until this place gets a new GM and things turn around. Camping World deserves ZERO STARS. When you go buy a RV they get you a red carpet but when you call to talk to the manager EDDIE, he makes you feel like nothing. Don't buy a RV from them. They will get you a temporary registration and after 3 months when it expires, they will not have the registration papers done and you will be stuck with a RV in your garage because you can't drive without registration. MY RV STILL NOT REGISTERED WITH DMV AFTER 3.5 MONTHS. Then you will call and they will treat you like a bothersome. Corporate office also doesn't do anything. Just stay away. Go buy your RV somewhere else and avoid headaches. read more
