If I could give this review negative 5 stars I would. The absolute worst service of my life. No one knows anything. No one can pick up a phone or call you back. I picked up my trailer less than a week ago in the evening time so when doing the walk through I missed a hole that was cause by an improper placement of a propane line. During our walk-through I should have just stopped and asked for someone who knew what they were doing. Jonathan has zero knowledge of our trailer when it came to anything. Every answer was "Oh I'm not familiar with that" or "I don't know". Even when I asked him why there was a dent in my BRAND NEW 2021 Coleman trailer he said "Oh that just happens in transport and we just have to deal with that". He even stated that trailers come in, in much worse condition but that's just how is goes because they are shipped to them that way. HUH!?! Being that it was so late there was no manager on site and many had gone home for the day. I figured I'd call the next day and try to work things out with a manager. NOPE, cannot even get a return call AT ALL. The only professional person working at this location was ONE of our sales guys, Rod. Jason Freedy was god awful to deal with too! I mean this whole location is a total wreck so I suggest taking your business and money to a store that actually cares about taking care of their customers the right way. Spent $128000 on a two year old class c rv. When we started out on our first trip across the country we found that the cab air conditioning did not work. Nothing but hot air through the Nevada desert. Very uncomfortable and infuriating since we needed to be at our destination on time. What an AMAZING experience we had. We worked with Jake and couldn't have asked for a more friendly person with a great personality to work with. Any questions we had that he wasn't sure of, he got the answers for us. Camping World has changed for the worse, as a retail store anyway. Some of this is the fault of people like me who gravitated towards Amazon for my supplies. This has pushed Camping World heavily towards RV sales/service and away from the retail store side. The retail end of things was pretty pathetic now. This used to be THE place to stop when on the road. Now, there's not even RV parking anymore. I had to stash my rig next to some units for sale and run in for the sewer hose I needed. Thankfully, they had the hose, but the store is pretty sparse inside compared to what it used to be. read more

Each time I am forced to deal with camping world, we reach a new low. I set expectations low and they still miss by a long shot. They never give me a straight answer, never have an update on my vehicle and always ask to call me back. Not once have they called me back and after 3-4 days I have to call them again only to be told they need to call me back. Customer service is a zero. After owning the trailer for a year, I thought I would pass on another critical item if you are looking at buying a used trailer from Camping World and that is the age if the tires. On a trip last week one of the tires blew (actually it disintegrated). The only thing that saved the trailer from being totaled is the fact it is double axle. When we got it to a tire center we found that the tire that blew and two others were well past the safety age when we bought it and the spare is actually several years older than the trailer itself. One would never know from looking at them as they all look barely used. Now most of us don't know how to read the codes on tires to see how old they are (I don't). However, this is another failing on Camping World as they state they perform a "comprehensive" safety inspection of every used trailer. Tire age is critical for safety as older tires can blew out suddenly and can result in major damage to both the trailer and the tow vehicle. So if you are thinking of buying a used trailer at Camping World, add tire age to your list of questions for them. read more

Absolutely worst service experience I have had in my life. I only gave them one star because there is no selection for zero. They talked me into replacing my vinyl floor for $6,000 because of an area that was damaged by our slide. They did not give me the option for repairing the one area, which could have easily been done. I had them do the repair, they kept my fifth wheel for half a month, we are full time so we were essentially homeless while they kept our RV. They originally told us it would be about 5 days. The job fell apart in a little over a month. The floor is rippling the bulging in most areas. They either did not glue it properly and/or did not sweep it out underneath before they placed it. One of the technicians left a T-nail by the slide out so that it scraped a huge scratch in the brand new floor the moment we brought it out. We are now in Arizona where we purchased the fifth wheel. Camping World refuses to refund my money or help me pay the reliable dealer where we purchased the fifth wheel to to the repairs. The dealer is accommodating, will keep our RV for just a couple of days while they work on it, and are dependable and reliable. Camping World offered to pay for the repairs until our dealer submitted an estimate, then at the last minute they backed out saying it was too much. It was less then they originally charged me. I am afraid to take it to the local Camping World for repairs because I'm afraid I'll just receive more of the same poor service and workmanship. Worst experience ever. read more

We picked up our brand new motorhome from Camping World Fresno on 7/2 (I did another review on that location, it was a terrible experience as well.) Thinking that this location is closer to home, we have been contacting them for the brand new unit repair. This Camping World Vacaville scheduled us an appointment with Catrina James on 8/26. We took in the unit, 1 week later, they told us they need to process warranty and then ordering parts, but we can take our unit home while waiting. By calling every week, most of the time with no call back, no response, they told us either warranty had not been processed, or parts have not been ordered. I called Thor for help, Thor confirmed the warranty has been paid out to this Camping World, but they can see no parts have been ordered yet. And again, we called, and called. We even called Marcus Lemonis' customer service help desk for help - and guess what? That help desk offered no help at all. It is useless. And finally 1 month ago, Camping World Vacaville called, and scheduled for repair on today, 12/10. After waiting for 1 whole morning (for a 1 hour of labor for repair,) they told us that they received a faulty part, so the repair cannot be completed. The service rep is Catrina James, who never returns calls. And the service manager is Victor, who offers absolutely no help while we escalate the issue. That was almost 5 months of calling and calling, filing complaints one after next, and the unit has not been fixed. It is a brand new 2022 model. After talking to Thor, their advice is that sometimes other smaller Thor Authorized RV repair shops have better and faster service. Just need to do some Yelp review search. That's what we are going to do next. Do not come here for repair. read more

I found an RV i was interested in online that was here at this dealership. I came in and was briefly shown the rv, they didn't turn it on, or tour the way you would someone who is buying something like a home. Immediately they wanted to start the paperwork for the sale etc and when i asked were there similar vehicles i was told this was the best i was going to get. I saw the list they had going and it did have others, but i trusted these "experts". The second day i went back asked to test drive it and all seemed ok. So i brought it home the day before Xmas Eve, planned to leave Xmas day to Arizona. I took my elderly mother on this road trip and found out the hard way that the heater coil was not working, so we froze the first night we boondocked. It was 32 degrees. When i got to my cousins home in Southern California, found out the left running lights and brake lights were out. I couldn't call camping world because they were closed till that Tuesday. Found out the toilet seat cover was broken. When a breaker flipped, found out the GPU in the bathroom was broken. I had to google everything to figure out where the fuse box was. Some nice men at the campsite helped me figure out the heater was not functioning at all. I called camping world of Avondale and they were no help either. I've spoken to four different RV owners who have dealt with Camping World and they said they would never go back again. They did fix most of the issues after i returned from the trip and i still have to follow up with them on two items that weren't fixed, but I'm just afraid of the attitude. I felt like i bought a 72k lemon and the $600+ they charged for a orientation to the vehicle was a joke as well. I googled everything i know now. The kicker was they sent me a bill for they're underestimate of the tags! Sadly i have to return there. But I'll never recommend any Camping World. read more

Went there at the end of Jan 2022 to inquire about what I thought would be something simple. First thing they said was they could not work on my rig until July. I said fine that works for me. Told them I wanted to bring in my class A with a fiberglass roof for a Dicor roof coating to reflect the heat and stop the streaks from the while fiberglass roof as it chalks. They did not know what I was talking about. So they got the service manager. He said in all his years he has never done such a thing and where would I get the product. From Camping World and walked over to the display and pointed to it! He never heard, nor has done it; but they sell the stuff... my confidence level went to zero and I left the store. There a numerous places that offer this service but they are far from Vacaville - where I live and this Camping World is located. What a let down, now I've got to travel. read more

So far, I've been in four different Camping Worlds, and this store by far was the most confusing. A lot of it has to do with wayfinding on the property itself - there are signs for the service area, however, for RV sales and the parts / accessories store, not much going there. It's like they crammed a RV sales area in and the store was a second thought. Second, compared to the store in Rocklin, and even Wilsonville, OR, this store seemed much smaller - and was much harder to navigate. Again, the store seemed to be an afterthought versus a focal point. Products were much harder to find, and as there was limited to no aisle signage, it was tough to find things. As a Good Sam member, I was happy to receive my Good Sam discount, and even happier that the folks in the store met the prices of Camping World's website. However, I can't say that I'll personally go here when Rocklin is much closer to me and is much easier to navigate. read more

Friendly sales staff and I put a deposit down for a trailer, but ended up not going forward with it. I appreciate them for understanding and not giving me a hard time for it. After the 3rd call ( spoke to the sales manager on shift) the refund was processed back. This was about a two week time frame. I found a few sale items I liked and then had questions about the RV covers. I went to Camping World of Vacaville for a 10 am appointment to "check" my Suburban stove before replacing the stove under warranty. This is a known issue for this stove model and I had already provided the stove's serial number, an image of my trailer's id plate, and the contact info for Suburban when I made the appointment. I arrive and they tell me their "warranty person" wasn't in but that they'd bump it up the ladder to get permission to check my stove, and that it should be a few minutes. One and a half hours later I check with the counter person and they say that all their management staff are busy in meetings and would I like to wait. It's 11:30 am by this time and I ask "Will they be going to lunch soon and will that take another 1-1/2 hours?" To which they say "Yes. Do you want to wait or make another appointment to come back?" I made this appointment two months prior and during that time they could have reached out to Suburban with the info I provided. At the least they should have contacted me about their warranty person not being available the morning of the appointment. In total I spent about five hours getting the trailer to and from their location. What an absolute waste of time, energy, and gas. At this point I refuse to use any Camping World location for any services or purchases. read more

This was probably my tenth time visiting this camping world. Not one time has someone asked if I needed help. Employees in or around store seem to avoid interacting with customersat all cost. I came at 9am, one other customer vehicle in parking lot, employees everywhere trying to look busy. I wandered around until 940am looking confused. I'm not saying they all werent busy, however when I walked away from near a counter I could hear the two employees having small talk and when I looked back they were both looking at a cell phone. This lasted for few minutes until I wandered back by counter again. I also was looking at sewer fittings and picked one up to look at it and inside of fitting was disgusting and obviously used. I really would have loved to give money to physical store, pricing is little higher then everywhere else I have been, service is the worst of everywhere I have been, and product selection isnt that great overall. I will start off by saying our sales team were pretty good and the technitions that worked on setting up my lifted truck were great. I did come out a few days early to have them measure the height of my hitch since i have about a 6" lift. But when we came back to pick up the trailer and we had to wait a long time for the techs to sign off on my weight distribution system. Because of this I do apretiate the fact that they didnt just slap on what was available and send me on my way, this is my first trailer and I already felt a little behind the power curve since I havent drove a trailer in about 16 years in the military. They gave me an extra $20 gift card that helped with getting some essentials . Now the store its self is more like 2 stars. If I had to rate them based on kindness they get 4 stars but they didnt know alot about the product and everything we purchased didnt include our Good Sam discount. Make sure you get your discount and double or triple check your riecpts to make sure you get your discount. Overall my wife and i wanted to give a 3.5 out of 5 star review but we rounded up because we dont know how to make a half a star. Just make sure you talk with others that have bought from Camping World and do your homework. You can buy most of the stuff cheaper on Amazon, but in a pinch they have everything you will ever need. read more

It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review and give Camping World (CW) 1 star. Initially I had a great experience and after reading the reviews I was very hesitant to believe any of it but my overall experience has been nothing but a head ache. In the beginning, my sales rep Ralph, was very nice and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable doing business with him and very willing to do everything in his power to make my experience a great one. I have zero complaints for him. My recommendation for everyone doing business with CW is to negotiate, negotiate, negotiate, and whatever they tell you, get it in writing. A lot of their prices aren't what they should be so if you do some research and know what your buying, it should be relatively easy. My experience with their lending center was hectic. For starters, they mixed up my delivery day two times after I clearly specified from the very beginning the date I was going to be picking it up. If they tell you something, again, GET IT IN WRITING. Their excuse was that they had done a huge sale over the weekend and they had to push mine out, but after I had arranged so much with my work they had to follow through. Honestly, it is not my problem, but they need to adjust accordingly and stand by their word. Be stern and stick to your guns. Second, while they were installing my braking system, they couldn't get my truck to start. They fried a circuit and couldn't figure out which one. There was talks of possibly towing the truck. My delivery time was at 1200, and I didn't get to leave until about 7pm after just patiently waiting for them to figure it out. Lastly, the icing on the cake, the lending department sent my loan paper work TO THE WRONG BANK!!!! They never bothered to check, call or even send me anything in the mail to follow-up. Luckily, I called the bank that supposedly would send me my lob information, but NOPE! They didn't have anything on file. CW excuse was, "sorry we were really busy that weekend". Fortunately, I called with time to spare for them to get their act together. Otherwise I would be sitting here waiting. Bottom line, if you buy anything from them, make sure you follow up with them to make sure everything is squared away, triple check EVERYTHING because they are obviously too busy to focus on the important details of things that are like loan documents. I have several friends that are interested in buying RV's, but it is experiences like these that will make people reluctant to do business with them. read more

Today I drove 60 miles to the Vacaville Camping World to purchase Weight Distributing Hitch Kit w/ Distribution Hitch, Sway Control, 2-5/16" Hitch Ball - 800 lbs Tongue Weight for $224. They dug it out of the back and took it to the front-end commented they had to do an on-line price match. Asked me for my Good Sam Club member number. I am not a Good Sam Club member. They said they could not sell me the hitch for the price listed on the website unless I was a member. Said they were a membership store just like Costco. When confronted with the online price and description they again refused to sell the hitch at the advertised price. NO WHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE IS THIS MENTIONED. I went out to the parking lot, opened the Amazon app, and found the exact same hitch for $244 with free shipping. Guess who got my business. I am considering contacting authorities because Camping World refused to honor a price on their website. It may not go anywhere, But I will never go to Camping World ever again. read more

A few months back I went to buy a NEW travel trailer from Camping world in Vacaville Ca. The salesman in formed me that I would be charge 900.00 dollars for a pre deliver inspection. There are so post to do a pre deliver when then receive the trailer from the manufacture. So I went down south a bought the same trailer from a another dealer for less money. After I got my new trailer I got a safety recall so I called camp world and then told me that they would NOT do any work on because I did not buy from them. I ask them aren't you a Key Stone dealer and they said yes we are. I have been in there store and tried to buy some parts to fix it my self and there were not interested in helping me. I am done with ever buying anything from this place again and I will spread the word about this place. I called Keystone (Springdale) and they told me to hire a mobile mechanic for the warranty repairs and pay for it out of my pocket and send them the receipt. Me and my wife purchased a nice camping trailer from camping world in Redding ca. when we arrived to pick it up they told us they would show us around the camper show us the perks and whistles. but because it was almost closing time they offered to show us next day. We just drove 4 hours to pick it up so we would have to stay the night which that wasn't happening. We are new to this so we are still figuring it out while camping and thank God for other campers showing us little here and there.So we are dropping it off at this location to get full check up and inspection hopefully someone there can actually show us and get an official walk through. read more

Long story short he basically said he couldn't help; we didn't have high enough credit score and it was too hot outside. We still emphasized that we wanted to just look. Let me start off by saying, we love the trailer we bought, very nice, you get what you pay for. Ralph was a great salesman. The walk through with Todd who is very knowledgeable was great as well as Omar, who I believe was doing the setup for tow. Now for the not so good part. After we got the trailer home, found just minor things here and there, nothing big. I have called and left messages for Melanie the Warranty person, no call back. Left messages for Victor, Service Manager, no call back. Renee in Finance, no call back.. I have called just to talk to anyone in Service who could take down the parts that are needed to fix a blind, side door compartment and a battery cover but no luck to this point. When you are there at the location, you do get assistance, however once you leave its tough trying to get anyone who can help you solve any issues you may have. read more

Since I bought a brand new tailer it has been at the shop at this location more than I have had it I keep calling to find out what is going on with my trailer only to get the run-around no one will call you back to let you know what's going on then when we finally come to pick up our trailer which is still within the one-year warranty we get charged a diagnosis fee to figure out what is going on with parts that are under warranty I would say to anybody that is thinking about buying from camping world go somewhere else avoid this place at all costs save yourself the headache and the trouble it's not worth it Everybody from start to finish has done nothing but lie to us read more

I would stay away from this place if you're buying a pop-up trailer. I bought mine on March 17th and am still waiting for repairs to be done that were promised when buying it. This place will lie straight to your face just to get a sale. The original trailer we were going to buy from them got damaged so they decided to pressure wash it with no door on it. They still tried to sell me that trailer saying they would fix everything. I think the problem with this store is they don't really know how to operate pop-up trailers at all. I had to show the service guy how to set it up. I'm not joking he didn't even know where anything went or how to operate it. I showed him everything and he told me that I should work there. The sales team is awesome, however that's as far as it goes. There service department is terrible. They won't return calls, won't inform you of the progress, doesn't meet or even come close to a good level of customer service and will allow your unit to just sit in their yard for months on end. I bought my RV back in July 2019 and they still haven't repaired/ replaced items pointed out back then. My advise don't give them your business because if you do they will not follow through with taking care of your repairs/ service or any warranty items. Sorry I did business with them! I just read your response to my review as well as other reviews and they all read the same! I've called the office of Marcus VIP as well as sent a email and never received a response to neither! The company shows no loyalty to its customers and will tell you what they think you want to hear. I'm not saying the service representative's are all bad, however the quality of service given to what a customer has paid and trusting you to care for their investment/home away from home is just horrendous! read more
