Well we were wanting pizza about a week later and decided to try this place out based on what out daughters said. It was surprisingly delicious. The pizza had a great crust and ample toppings. The guy at the counter, I'm guessing was the owner was very nice. Took our order and delivered our pizzas to our table. At the time of our arrival there was only one other customer, by the time we left the place was full. At the table next to us they all ordered different past dishes. It was our first time trying Campisi,s. Receptionist was very nice and respectful.e ordered large veggie pizza and salad. It is very pricey for quality. Salad was all cheap iceberg lettuce for $4,30. We tried to order A salad and large pizza, half veggie and half greek. They charged us $38.40 for that. When asked , we were told that when we combine two pizza that is how it works unfortunately. I love pizza! This was delicious pizza and salad and we had some cheesey bread appetizer. I wish I would have gotten the mans name that greeted us and took our order. He was veyr welcoming and helpful when deciding what to order. They have better than "sonic" ice!!!! It was a clean restaurant and not very busy as it was in between lunch/dinner time. Ordered a large pepperoni and some tiramisu. This place did not disappoint, the way the pizza is cooked is perfect, and the service I received when I walked in was refreshing. The tiramisu is also very good and I highly recommend it. Unlike a lot of pizza/Italian places, the food here doesn't need any extra sauce to drown out how average it is. First time trying their pizza and it was great! I don't eat beef so I ordered me the chicken Alfredo pizza and it was awesome. It was hot, extra cheesy and it was not greasy at all. It was cut into small pieces which made it easy to pick up. My husband had the meat supreme and he enjoyed it. Went here the other day, first they DO NOT have customer wifi any longer and not a full menu. The pizza was fantastic but took a long time at lunch. We had a great time at Campisi's on Summer Lee in Rockwall this Sunday afternoon. I got the spaghetti & meatball with marinara sauce and the husband had the "Everything" pizza. The pizza really was loaded up and no skimping there! My spaghetti & marinara was delicious. The sauce was tangy and flavorful and the meatball was wonderful and tender. It was obvious that both the marinara and meatball were home made. We'll be back! read more

First time eating here & we weren't all that impressed. My pasta ($12) ended up costing more than a medium sized pizza because I added chicken ($4), spinach ($1.50), and Alfredo ($1.50). And it wasn't all that great. And neither was the service. It felt more like we were at a McDonalds than Campisi's. While they do have a kids options, kid friendly, and high chairs, they do not have a changing table in the restrooms (if you still have a child in diapers). They have enough space to add one. I think I'll just start chancing my child's diapers on top of the table where no one is eating when an establishment doesn't have one. To have to get down on the floor of the bathroom to change a child diaper at home is one thing, but in a public place, disgusting. This is another reason we won't return. read more

Only ever order pizza to go from this location. This location has Limited Italian menu, but I have been eating at Campisi's since the 1980's and still enjoy their pizza. This location has some outside seating and limited indoor seating. Will continue to enjoy their salami and green onion pizza. read more

If I could give this Campisi's location less than 1 Star, I would. Came for cheer camp and made a reservation for our entire cheer squad so had a lot of potential tips. While ordering at the counter, another customer was allowed to cut in front of our entire bunch and order as we all waited patiently in line! Our food came out incredibly late and completely out of order! I waited 50 minutes for my pasta and had to eventually walk in and ask for a full refund! One of our sweetest girls waited over an hour for her food!! Let me mention we were the ONLY customers in the restaurant!!! We will NEVER be back!!! read more

I'm on a roll of A-OK's! :) I love Campisi pizza. I grew up on it and it's my jam. I just don't love this location, when it should be one of the best since it's at the harbor! It's not a sit down joint. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Not very tres romantical. I want to sit down and stare into the eyes of my beloved and eat garlicky crab claws and drink wine and be waited on!! The inside dining area is small (and the AC will probably be blowing right in your face the whole time). There is a large covered patio that looked ok for the 45 days it can be used per year. Looked like from the activity I saw while eating they do a bang up to-go business. I'll just have to settle for Campisi's to go, staring into the eyes of my beloved at home. :) read more

We were staying at the Hilton Rockwall and wanted to try this location. We were very impressed by the service. Shawn was very nice on the phone and our delivery guy was great and very fast! The pizza was so awesome, we really loved every bite! The crab claws were very good, they are blue crab claws so they are small but good. I wish they had one here, the pizza is so flavorful, and I usually don't like thin crust. We will order again next time we are in Rockwall. read more

Was staying at the Hilton and decided to give this place a shot. I read the reviews and wanted pizza, but I had pizza the night before so opted for a red sauce pasta dish. I was told it was like a ragu. Before I could fill my water cup the waitress had my salad at my table. I thought "wow, that was fast." As a previous poster said, it was drenched in dressing and soggy. Must had been sitting dressed for a half hour....gross. I receive my pasta dish with bread. So much bright red sauce poured on the plate...definitely not a ragu. Give it a taste; it's like it was out of a can Ask the gentleman who took my order if they gave me the ragu or marinara. This was the red sauce he replies, no meat (ragu is cooked with meat I am thinking). The guy is super nice and brings me a meatball, as he sees I am clearly disappointed with my dish. Unfortunately the meatball is subpar too. One really good thing: the bread. That was good. Now wishing I would have ordered the pizza 5 stars for the service and attempt to make me happy. 1 star because only the bread was good. read more

This is our second time to visit the downtown Elm Street location. I probably would have given the first time 5 stars. This trip, however, was a little disappointing. The waiter didn't seem to know much about the menu. We ordered the cheesy bread as an appetizer. It wasn't nearly as cheesy, ooey-gooey as the first time we had it but it was ok. We also had the bruschetta which my son really enjoyed. My husband ordered fettuccine with meat sauce. My son had the penne pasta with pink sauce. They both enjoyed theirs very much. I had the angel hair shrimp scampi in their garlic butter sauce. It was just way too much butter. I love butter but don't want my food swimming in it. It would have been much better with about half as much butter sauce. It's not a cheap place to eat so be prepared. It wasn't that the experience was awful but compared to how wonderful it was during our first visit, it was a let down. read more

FIRST OFF: They do not have the full menu of their other locations. Pretty much pizza and small variety pasta only - so my husband did not get to order his normal fave. Two fettuccini alfredos with chicken = $45!!! We ordered and it took 10 minutes just to get our dinner salads - I had to remind the people behind the counter. We sat for 30 minutes before we saw people next to us (who ordered right before us) get there pasta. Wait 10 minutes and those people get up without even touching their meal - we get nervous. Finally, I walked up to the counter to ask if our food was anywhere close to being done and the girl says it'll be at least another 20 MINUTES! After we had already waited for 40. I immediately ask for a refund and for our order to be cancelled. We walked across the courtyard and we were sat and finished our meal at a different restaurant in a shorter time than it took to wait for our food at Campisis. Ordered: Chopped salad, small cheese pizza with $1 additionals; pineapple, pepperoni, jalapeños and mushrooms, and 2 glasses of chianti. The salad was amazing. Every bite was perfect! The right amount of salami, lettuce, artichoke hearts, olives, cheese... And the right amount of vinaigrette! Small pizza claims to be for 1 serving. Jr and I shared this small pizza and chopped salad and we were full! Great portions. After dinner we took a stroll around harbor district and grabbed some dessert at cold stone. Looked over lake ray hubbard and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Glad we had a great experience at Campisi's and I can't wait to go back :) read more

I guess I knew it would be a smaller menu than their main Mockingbird location, but I didn't realize it really was just a pizza and pasta place, not an Italian restaurant per say. So, the pasta was ok...nothing to sing songs about. I had the meatball appetizer and some garlic bread with provolone. I wish I hadn't ordered the cheese because I think it overwhelmed the flavor of the garlic and the crunchiness of the bread. The meatballs were huge and tasted ok, but again, nothing seemed to stand out. My husband had the penne with alfredo, mushrooms and chicken. He said it was good, but that it wasn't exceptional or anything. Beware, there is VERY limited seating inside and it only took one boisterous group of 10 people with tables pushed together to overwhelm the whole place. We were squished against the wall. The outdoor seating is more generous but we were there on a very cold windy evening and even with the unattractive plastic sheeting around the seating area we would have frozen our tushies. :) This is probably not a problem 80% of the year, but I wonder about how comfortable it is to eat heavy pizza and pasta outdoors in the triple digits, too. This is Texas, after all. Air conditioning is a must. Overall, sure, if you are hungry after a movie at the Cinemark 12 and looking for gut-busting filling food and you don't want to bother to drive out of the Harbor District, go here. read more

I just ate here with my mother and my two younger sisters. The pizza was wonderful, and the Italian sausage is truly Italian! My sister ordered the spaghetti with red sauce and she said "this is the best spaghetti I have ever had" The service was unbelievable and they treated us great! Highly recommend. read more
