The staff is great and makes you feel more like you're in a small town than in a city. I came to town a few weeks back, planned on meeting friends at a bar we used to go to all the time back in college(circa 2007) called Quixotes. I really wasn't looking forward to having to trudge through questionable puddles in the bathroom and yell over deafening noise to tell my friends how fat and old they got. It was a huge relief when I was leaving my air b&b(super late as always) and they told me plans had changed because the old dive wasn't open anymore or something and to meet them down the street at the Campus Lounge. I thought "welp, just traded one dingy dungeon for another". Oh man, I was so incredibly impressed with the way this place has glowed up. It's incredible how places can still hold the same nostalgia but be completely different and revamped. I loved the patio, and the staff was immaculate. We had a server named Cody Rose and she was incredibly charismatic and witty all the while being completely attentive to our little reunion while the whole restaurant was busy and bustling with commerce. Drinks stayed full the food came out hot! The food, OMG, The menu was actual food, like, not just something college age wasted people slather in their gullet to sober up for the walk home. I got the Brisket French dip Sandwich and my taste buds broke into dance like late 90s early 2000's dance( you know the dougie and nae nae, Gotta forgive the taste buds, they're old now.) Brisket was juicy and flavorful and the bacon gave it the perfect flavor punch. Top notch. Next time I'm in town this is definitely going to be on my list of spots to stop. Staff was light and slow which was disappointing but when they were able to serve us they did an excellent job. Jeff (the manager) thought it was okay to cancel our reservation 2.5 hours before the reservation on a Saturday night. His reasoning was that they are going to be so busy since DU won on Thursday. We got the reservation early in the week. Now we have to find a place for our night out at the last minute. I guess they don't want us there and I will be happy to spread the word that they feel that it is okay to cancel on customers at the last minute. I arrived at Campus Lounge to watch Avalanche at Coyotes. I took a random seat at a table and then the group at the next table invited me to take their table as they were leaving. I moved to the better positioned table. Then a rude red-headed biatch told me I could not sit there. Really? I was there first and I am a regular customer. According to the rude red-headed biatch, apparently someone called in with a larger party and needed two tables. The rude red-headed biatch should have found a place for me to sit instead of just being a rude red-headed biatch! At the first intermission, I moved to another sports bar 151 Sobo, located at 151 S. Broadway. Superior setting for watching Avalanche games, superior food, and superior service. And no rude red-headed biatch! Now they have permanently lost me as a customer. I had been at the Campus Lounge for several other Avalanche games and spent around $30 on food/drinks. But no more. The rude red-headed biatch cost Campus Lounge a customer! Interesting kitschy atmosphere. Going for an old summer camp vibe I guess. Pretty random stuff but it works. Service was good. The poutine was really good; the pork green chili on the poutine wasn't very hot which I liked. Had the breakfast burrito and my friend had a burger. Both were good but nothing exceptional. Requested a couple of beers from their menu that were not available, which was disappointing but totally understandable these days. The server was quick to make comparable recommendations. There's a game room attached so we were able to play a free round of PacMan after our meal - love that! read more

Well Campus Lounge 4.0 is officially a letdown. This place holds a special place for me, as it was amazing when I was in grad school. Menu was promising, but it was pretty much downhill from here. The app "campus poutine" had potential but essentially was stale tasing shoestring fries with melted cheese and mediocre green Chile on top. Also ordered smoked wings for an app and this was actually very good, best part of the meal by far. Main dish was Prime Rib. Rust came out and was pretty much " well done" which is tragic for prime rib. Manager was nice enough to bring out a new one, which was still closer to medium, but at this point wanted to just move on. Ambience is the usual, college bar with a big brows and lots going on. Not much has has changed inside and that is ok. Service was pretty decent even though it was busy. Value was not there. Bill was way too high for what we received. Overall disappointed . read more

Campus Lounge has been at its current location for decades. I visited 10+ years ago, and it was a casual local bar - nothing special. During COVID I visited with a few neighbors, since we heard new owners had bought the place, and loved everything about it - good beer, great food, super friendly staff and a very cool atmosphere. I've been back multiple times since and always have a great time. I invited a large group of friends yesterday for day 2 of March Madness and Sarah took care of our group. She was wonderful, patient and super chill. There was about 15 of us and most had never been. Every one of them loved the place, food and overall atmosphere. They'll all be back. read more

The Campus Lounge has probably never been better. While it's been through a few ownership changes and concepts , the current version is amazing. A clean dive, a well-scrubbed joint, with good food, an island bar ( whaaat?) a ton of flatscreens for sports and a very friendly staff. Had a 60th Birthday Party at the Beer Garden at Campus Lounge over Labor Day weekend. The food was great. We had carne Asada and Chicken Tacos, with salsa, guacamole and rice and beans chosen from their catering menu. The servers, Sam and Zach were friendly and efficient, doing a fantastic job taking care of 50 people. Anjelica, the Event Coordinator, helped with planning and was great. The Management, Bar and Kitchen staff also did a great job, making this one of the best parties ever !! Every single person at the party commented on how fun it was. Today I had the worst customer service of my life. I got upcharged 25% from the prices set on the menu, and the blonde waitress refused to change anything about this. The avocado toast was listed at 10 dollars on the menu, and when I pointed out the price difference being charged (14 dollars), she proceed to stare at me blankly. In general this waitress gave us so much attitude over the hour we were there that we couldn't wait to leave. Will not be coming back. read more

I visited Campus Lounge for the first time this weekend before a DU sporting event and was unexpectedly impressed! I assumed I was being taken to your average close to campus bar that would have average drinks and food. The Moscow mule was one of the best I have ever had! Their food was great as well! Our server was friendly, efficient, and checked on us often. Overall, I had a great experience and am looking forward to visiting the Campus Lounge before another DU event! read more

We just had a surprise party for our son's 30th birthday at the Campus Lounge--we worked with the events manager Angelica who was wonderful. Angelica helped us plan a menu so guests had a choice of entree and suggested we give each guest a number of drink coupons which worked out really well for our 40 plus guests. The food was great and the vibe of the back room for a party was really fun. Angelica and her staff were stellar making sure everyone had a good time . Finally made it out to the new campus lounge and I can say it was rad! Really liked the summer camp decor (gotta check out the dioramas) food was great I had the pork chop with cheesy asparagus also hit up the salad bar and my fiancé had the salmon sandwich both were really tasty and service was great! Take it from A Fattie (not A Foodie), this place is great. My favorite wings bar none. The wings with Everything Bagel Seasoning are my favorite wings, but any of the wings are simply amazing. They smoke them first. The Everything Bagel Seasoning may be too salty for some, but that smokey, salty wing is just over the top delicious for me. The rest of the menu is very good as well. Great Wedge salad. Take it from a Fattie not a Foodie, these wings are the best in town. Do yourself a favor and get some for take out. read more

We had excellent service, great food and drinks and a lighthearted fun environment. And what really pissed me off was that a very small white wine was $12. Asked about Happy Hour wine, and the server said they only had a Pinot Grigio.
