Met my friend at the brewery next door to catch up and exchange gifts. I thought they had good food at the brewery, but only during the pop up days. So after a couple drinks, we got hungry and I was craving some good pizza. I found this place nearby, walking distance so we decided to try it. When you first walk in it looks pretty simple and there are two benches to sit, like park style benches. Nothing fancy but decent to sit and eat there. The guy that took our order was very friendly and attentive. Our pizza was ready within like 10 minutes and to my surprise, it was very tasty and looked pretty chunky. They are generous with the toppings and cheese, as opposed to other pizza places. The crust was nice and crispy and overall the pizza had great flavor! I did not know about this place and how good their food is, but now I know where to go when I crave good pizza. I believe this is a family business and I'm all for supporting local businesses. This is one of those places you have to look for, because it's in a corner and it's easy to miss. But, it's worth looking for. This is a family owned business with a family that takes great pride in making a pizza that demands your attention. It all starts with the dough. To here guys make it from scratch, they use an excellent mix of AP and High Gluten. The crust comes out perfectly crisp with a wonderful flavor. Then, it's topped with a nice zesty pizza sauce with a beautiful bold flavor. Lots of cheese and handfuls of meat! What a beast. If you are looking for a solid hand tossed pizza with a ton of flavor then this is your place. It's not fancy, it's exactly what pizza is supposed to be. And the family couldn't be nicer! It's funny - I've walked right by this place a jillion times on my way to Trademark next door, without ever really thinking about it, until a few weeks ago, when we needed a bunch of pizza for a party, and the place we used to get large inexpensive pizza orders from pre-covid, isn't there anymore. I looked up pizza places near us, Avila's came up, and they have decent deals on large 1-topping pizzas, so we gave them a try. Was pretty much what we expected - not the best pizza ever, but the best pizza ever uses more expensive ingredients and thus charges more for them. Definitely way better than any of the major chains though, and cheaper too probably, if you're ordering for a large group, or if you just want a basic pizza. Tried this place for the first time. I'll give the pizza a 5/10. It's a basic pizza, nothing special. It was very doughy & chewy. It didn't have any crunch to it. They could definitely make the crust crunchier for texture, instead of having a floppy, chewy crust. Decent price for an average pizza. read more

Placed an order on Postmates that was suppose to be delivered by 6:05. Got an update saying it would b3 delivered by 6:30. Wasn't delivered until 6:39. That 30 minutes is a huge deal to a 5 and 7 year old! I understand the late delivery may be due to the Postmates driver. However, chicken wings were to be included in our order. We did not get any wings. The pizza was cold, the sandwich was soggy. So bad that the wrapper was stuck to it trying to open it. Spent almost $40 for a 1 topping Little Caesars sized pizza and a soggy meatball sub. Will never order from here again. Be aware of the postmates order, and the accuracy of your order. read more

I call this place, old faithful. I've been ordering from here for as long as I've had my own money and they've never let me down. I've even met Mr. Avila himself. He's not above taking or even delivering orders. This is a true love of his, and that love shows. Are they perfect? No. But I'm not perfect and my mom still loves me and it would take me moving out of their delivery zone to stop me from ordering from here... even then, I'd make the drive. That said, the selling point here is definitely the pizza. It's in the name. You can't go wrong there. They also have some pretty tasty garlic breadsticks that I almost always get when I place an order. Where they can use some improvement is their hot wings. They're hit or miss. Sometimes they're perfect, other times they're really fatty but that's pretty common in most pizza places so I'll let it slide. I'm here for the pizza. If I want chicken wings, I'll order from a dedicated wing place. But wings aside, their pizza is and will continue to be my go-to. They're on delivery apps but I'll continue to call in. This place USED to be the best place to get pizza. So delicious. HOWEVER. Today 9/14/24 at 6:00 pm , my Grubhub online order was cancelled twice . I called the restaurant as per the instructions on my cancellation notice email. When I call , a lady answers the phone and puts me on hold. THEN a guy picks up and I explain that I have had my order cancelled twice. He proceeds to tell me that they don't take payments through grubhub due to the bad ratings they've been getting since their deliveries are LATE. Which lately, they have been . By an hour sometimes. Anyways. I continue and I ask how I can order my food or what's the next step. The guy then tells me that he spoke to his manager and there's nothing they can do. I then ask him if I can speak to the manager. He tells me "the manager doesn't speak. ". I said "he doesn't speak ?" Completely confused. Then he says no ummmm he doesn't speak English . He only speaks Spanish. ( which I know is a lie since I've spoken to him before ) I continue and I say "I speak Spanish" . He then says .. "ahhhhh hold on " and then... CLICK. Phone call gone . He hung up on me ! I called back giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was an error. NOPE. Then I called again and the phone call just rings and rings and rings until it beeps and the call ends . I did this about 10 times and finally someone literally PICKED UP... and HUNG UP. This is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE . Whoever is employed there and doing this needs to go. How is a business supposed to flourish with THIS type of NON PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I decided to try this lil place based off of the reviews and some pics swayed me. I ordered the special a Large pizza 2 toppings and 10 wings for $17.99 seemed fair. I got pepperoni and black olives and chose hot for the wings... The pizza ok umm it reminded me of middle school lunch time pizza so it took me far back to a time when all was good in the world haa. The sauce was actually flavorful and plentiful the cheese stringy, olives juicy the crust (not my favorite) a little greasy to the touch and not the good greasy just like greasy, greasy..overall it was cool, it wasn't piping hot so that could be why? but I'd say worth another try. The best part is I got a large so I could steal all the toppings off and just really pretend I ate 1 slice of pizza haa.. The WINGS..dun dun dun.. ok I steer clear of anything advertised as JUMBO WINGS cause I personally am freaked out by BUFF chicken haaa..theirs didn't advertise this yet they were somewhat SUPERHERO esk..and I asked for well done and maybe they were but because they crammed the whole family of chicken wings, cousins, sis, bro, uncle and grandpa in this lil tiny container they were kinda mushy..but its ok I got this, I'll pulverize them in the microwave until they're well done haaa.. well I was able to pick out about 4 that seemed to be averaged sized and hit HIGH haa.. I disintegrated them but that was my intent haa.. I have to say the hot sauce is pretty darn tasty but I couldn't get past the thought that I was eating wonder woman wings so I had to STOP. But if BIG BUFF and slightly WET wings is your thing.. go for it the flavor was definitely there (I'm just picky) My overall consensus is it's not half bad if I got really hungry and my other pizza place and I are still on a break I'd order again possibly haa.. Kudos to this establishment for doing what they can and serving up super yummy food during this period of the viral epidemic. If any fast food restaurant is going to stay open during this time, as long as the food is coming out hot and they're doing their best, I am not going to give them anything less than four stars. Support them if you can, get their wings,, their chicken Hawaiian pizza is out of this world, and their basket of pork ribs is perfect for a group of three. My husband and I like to go here every now and then just because it's out of the way for us. The pizza we usually get is the meatball sausage personal size. It is $3.25 for the personal size good price. It is a little greasy so this is probably not a good pizza place for those who are health conscious but for those who are okay with the grease. I tend to get sick when I eat foods that are too greasy but I'm able to eat these pizzas without getting sick I guess it's the right amount not too much. read more

Holy moly, why didn't I look for this place before?! Weeks earlier, I ordered from Pizza Hut and got food that resembled what I used to get served in the public school cafeteria. It cost me almost $50 (not including tip and I ALWAYS tip); the quality was negligible, and the quantity was NOT worth the $50+ I spent to have 2 Med pizzas and a small tray of pasta delivered almost an hour and a half later, semi cold. I ordered from Avila's and got a DELICIOUS LARGE specialty pizza (King), some BBQ ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, and garlic bread. It costed me UNDER $40 to feed my family, and the food came within 45 min, fresh and hot! They really brought the heat and deserve to make those big franchises run for their money. Whenever I want to order pizza or pasta from now on, I'm ordering here, no doubt. On top of that, the people I fed are also NOW going to go to Avila's for their food rather than the large chains.
