Short stack and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese

Food was excellent and seemed like good pricing! Portion sizes are large and filling. Service was with a smile, friendly, and prompt. Atmosphere was quirky and fun. Throwback vibes!

We came to this cute little venue for brunch today. It was neat to travel back in time and dine in a 50's era diner. The restaurant is filled with great decor that makes the you feel like you're sharing a milk shake with your sweetheart in your poodle skirt. I ordered the #4 breakfast today which consists of biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon. The bacon was perfectly cooked, not too crunchy but not too soggy. Eggs were cooked just right! The portion for the biscuits and gravy was huge! The gravy did have a little too much pepper for my liking but it was still good! It was a great breakfast. There was a flaw with my biscuits but our server took care of it right away! I appreciate him for doing so. If you're looking for a good meal from a local joint, this is your place to support.

#3 on the menu.

This is such a cute restaurant! I love the decor and the atmosphere. It is so comfortable and welcoming. The food portions are so generous and it was cooked to perfection! I ordered the #3 combo meal. Delish!!!

Homemade meatloaf and potatoes with grilled veggies!

Great meatloaf and potatoes! Even loved the sautéed veg! I never order meatloaf anywhere! Super happy it was on their lunch special and ordered it on the fly! Service was fantastic too! Highly recommend! And they have great specials on senior menu! Go...run there! Looking forward to next visit!

Celebrating a birthday!

Food was over cooked, service was slow. Toast was like a crouton. Hash browns were dry

Solid breakfast location. Decor is pretty much the same as previous proprietor. Good food and service regardless.

The entrees came with a choice of fruit or hash browns which I appreciate for those watching their carb intake.

The reason we went back the second time was because we remembered how good the food was and how nearby it was too. The second time the food was still really good, but the service was HORRENDOUS. Brittney was such a ***** to me and my parents, my mom especially. My mom was complimenting her and something about the food, and she straight up just walked away in the middle of my mom still talking. And no it wasn't busy. It was towards the end of the night, there was maybe 2-3 other customers there. She acted like we were bothering her the whole time. Then once she'd leave us would just stand up at the bar flirting with the other guy working there and just ignore anyone else. Then on top of all of that, my dad tells me she added $10 onto her tip! FRAUD!!! I've attached photos as evidence. My dad still tipped her even though she was so rude and disrespectful. But apparently that wasn't enough for her and added $10 onto the total. I cannot believe that. And my dad tells me it was difficult to get his $10 back after calling and talking to the manager. He didn't get the name of the manager but he said that they were just making excuses and saying oh but she's our best server. Obviously not! Saying things like oh she must've just been really busy. Again, we were there when it was dead and about to close soon, no it was not busy. It's almost as if this business does this type of thing often because there was no alarm from the manager, then finally after much deliberation decided to send back the $10. Absolutely ridiculous. No : "I'm so sorry here's a free meal on us", or atleast a "here's a coupon or gift card for next time you come in", nothing. This is the type of thing that gets people closed down. We should report to the BBB. This is insane. And to not be offered anything to make it right is what really gets me. Like do they not want us to ever come back??? Not to mention tell everyone we know, etc. Yikes! And this is what we get for wanting to support local businesses instead of going to the big chains. What a bummer.

The shop itself is tiny with a few tables. It was freezing cold in there, colder than outside which was about 60 degrees. The sandwiches though, they were great! I go the turkey bacon and loved the pickled onions on it. The bread was perfect. I also got the potato salad - very unique but equally as good. Lots of dill in it with smoked paprika on top. Others at my table loved their sandwiches as well. I'd give this place a 4.5 because of the things listed above.

It was crowded but the line moved so fast, and the people working, were efficient and so kind! I love that you can see them making the sandwiches- tells you the food is going to be great. My sister and I had the tuna, and it was maybe the best tuna sandwich I have ever had. The bread, the ingredients- chefs kiss! My nieces had the pulled pork which they said was the best they ever had. My dad ordered the Italian- he usually never orders a sandwich like that and he RAVED about it. Lastly, the huckleberry lemonade - I can't say enough. These people are doing everything right. I loved the cute interior and ambiance. It's definitely a small spot but they work so quickly and keep people moving. I was so impressed. I wish we had one in Denver!

The service was fast, as we didn't wait the full 45 minutes before being seated. Upon walking in you see an upscale modern atmosphere, and date night ambiance. I felt underdressed as usual in my shorts, but was welcomed nonetheless. We ordered the potato fingerlings, because when in Boise you order potatoes. However I wasn't much of a fan, tasted more like grocery store potato wedges. The other appetizer was the meatballs, which is served with a garlic bread I wish I had an entire loaf of. It was really good and though it seems small it was good enough when cut up, maybe it could've done with 1 more meatball and definitely some more bread. For dinner the kid had a half cheese half crispy pepperoni pizza, which of course he didn't like, not like the chain pizza shops he's used to but I had some and it was delicious. He did like the crust, and still ate a couple sliced. I shared a half Bronco, half Honey Badger pizza with the missus. Everything was good, but the honey badger's grilled onions overwhelmed the taste. My favorite was the Bronco which our California transplant server recommended. It had a nice spice to it that hits the back of your throat just enough to wake you up but not enough to have you reaching for a drink. I already recommended this place to friends that live in the area. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

The restaurant was cute, and I was excited to try it. I ordered the grilled cheese and mushroom sandwich with tomato basil soup. I liked the bread of the sandwich, it was pretty hearty. The cheese wasn't very melty. My friend got a French dip sandwich, she only ate half and brought the rest back to our Airbnb. The next day when we were departing, she offered it to me for my drive home. The service was ok, it wasn't the friendliest. Prices were a little steep. If I lived nearby, I would come back and give another try.
