    Chicken fried steak

This diner is a must! perfect little breakfast spot for a classic breakfast and the staff is awesome! Friendly and sweet staff makes it even better. We got the classic breakfast with eggs bacon and hash browns added the short stack for that one. Other breakfast was the Chicken fried steak so delicious! the breading is just right not too thick and gravy is peppery just the way I like it!

Food was excellent and seemed like good pricing! Portion sizes are large and filling. Service was with a smile, friendly, and prompt. Atmosphere was quirky and fun. Throwback vibes!

We came to this cute little venue for brunch today. It was neat to travel back in time and dine in a 50's era diner. The restaurant is filled with great decor that makes the you feel like you're sharing a milk shake with your sweetheart in your poodle skirt. I ordered the #4 breakfast today which consists of biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon. The bacon was perfectly cooked, not too crunchy but not too soggy. Eggs were cooked just right! The portion for the biscuits and gravy was huge! The gravy did have a little too much pepper for my liking but it was still good! It was a great breakfast. There was a flaw with my biscuits but our server took care of it right away! I appreciate him for doing so. If you're looking for a good meal from a local joint, this is your place to support.

Great meatloaf and potatoes! Even loved the sautéed veg! I never order meatloaf anywhere! Super happy it was on their lunch special and ordered it on the fly! Service was fantastic too! Highly recommend! And they have great specials on senior menu! Go...run there! Looking forward to next visit!

    #3 on the menu.

This is such a cute restaurant! I love the decor and the atmosphere. It is so comfortable and welcoming. The food portions are so generous and it was cooked to perfection! I ordered the #3 combo meal. Delish!!!

The reason we went back the second time was because we remembered how good the food was and how nearby it was too. The second time the food was still really good, but the service was HORRENDOUS. Brittney was such a ***** to me and my parents, my mom especially. My mom was complimenting her and something about the food, and she straight up just walked away in the middle of my mom still talking. And no it wasn't busy. It was towards the end of the night, there was maybe 2-3 other customers there. She acted like we were bothering her the whole time. Then once she'd leave us would just stand up at the bar flirting with the other guy working there and just ignore anyone else. Then on top of all of that, my dad tells me she added $10 onto her tip! FRAUD!!! I've attached photos as evidence. My dad still tipped her even though she was so rude and disrespectful. But apparently that wasn't enough for her and added $10 onto the total. I cannot believe that. And my dad tells me it was difficult to get his $10 back after calling and talking to the manager. He didn't get the name of the manager but he said that they were just making excuses and saying oh but she's our best server. Obviously not! Saying things like oh she must've just been really busy. Again, we were there when it was dead and about to close soon, no it was not busy. It's almost as if this business does this type of thing often because there was no alarm from the manager, then finally after much deliberation decided to send back the $10. Absolutely ridiculous. No : "I'm so sorry here's a free meal on us", or atleast a "here's a coupon or gift card for next time you come in", nothing. This is the type of thing that gets people closed down. We should report to the BBB. This is insane. And to not be offered anything to make it right is what really gets me. Like do they not want us to ever come back??? Not to mention tell everyone we know, etc. Yikes! And this is what we get for wanting to support local businesses instead of going to the big chains. What a bummer.

By coincidence when walking around town I spotted it and had to go try. I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy and these definitely beat what you would find in a Denny's or IHOP by a landslide on the taste and aesthetic scale! It's super filling since there's so many carbs, but the taters (more like small potato wedges) are actually a clever add-in. They add a slight bit of texture to the mushiness of the gravy-soaked biscuits, and potatoes and gravy are already best friends in terms of food pairings. There's also garnish on top (some sort of greens and cheese) that gives it a nice look and extra flavor. Delicious! I didn't think much of the customer service initially aside from thinking they were super friendly. However, I sat down at one of the tables and took my time eating and people watching. So many people came by the store to talk to the chefs with such familiarity that it felt like this popup was its own restaurant and community. It hasn't reached a point of popularity where it's flooded with people, but the more I look back on the experience, the nicer I feel about it. Even after a lot of time had passed and the staff had already helped out so many people, when I left, they called out my name and it made me wish I could go back again. This is one of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Not because it's spectacular or mindblowing, but because it was great people watching. The food itself was also amazing for late night food-coma inducing munching.

This proved to be the best breakfast experience we've had in years. Before you question this - we'll start with the service. Our server was cheerful, knowledgeable and just a pleasure to speak with. She listened to my friend, who wanted a fancy coffee, and made him a s'mores coffee that wasn't too sweet but very flavorful. My friend ordered an omelette, which was outstanding on its own. But it didn't come close to being on the same level as the breakfast enchiladas. The red sauce was flavorful and paired so well with the cheese and egg filling. And the hash browns are coarsely grated fresh potatoes with the perfect crust. Honestly, I was a little sad when the meal was over. I'm sure everything on the menu is great - but do yourself a favor and get the breakfast enchiladas. You will not be disappointed. It's probably a good thing we don't live nearby - or I'd need a gym membership because I'd be eating here at least 3x a week.

There were onions all over the table, and to top it off, my chair was sprinkled with onions too. I came for breakfast, not to marinate like a pot roast. Needless to say, not a breakfast place I'd choose again.

I only wish we would have come here a long time ago, but we now have a favorite place. We are so happy that it was bought by people who truly care about the history of this place and the customers, as they have kept it in its original form and haven't changed the menu. It is rare to find people willing to buy a place likes this in order to keep it going. I hope they continue on as it is now and don't change a thing. The ambiance was quiet, and I would describe the decor as elegant Dutton Ranch style The staff were all friendly and the food was amazing! I had the prime rib (finally, a chef that knows what "rare" means and it was absolutley delicious. My husband had the Ribeye steak and it too was impressive and one of the best he's ever had. The sauted mushrooms were terrific and you "HAVE" to have the salad with their homemade Rouqefert dreassing. I haven't seen Rouqefert dressing in years and it is absolutely the best (of course this is the only place we've found that offers it). The drinks were good and especially the Prickly Pear Lemon Drop....so yummy! Even though the food was great, what truly made it a "dining experience" like we've only received a few other times (and we eat out a lot), was Jessica, our waitress. She was so nice and really on top of her game. She was not only attendtive but really paid attention to the smallest of details, e.g., when I dropped my napkin, she was right there with a new one. She is what all wait staff should be, and I think she could a school and train others. We have only had an "EXCELLENT" server a few times in our lives (and we're old), but she is one of the best we have ever had. Thank you Jessica for making our dinner a true memorable dining experience. This, on top of the excellent food quality, is why we will definitely be back.

The hostess/waitress took us in and thanked us for coming back (she must have watched us try to get in earlier). We got to pick our table in the dining area. The interior is smaller but very clean and classy. The only thing I didn't like were the chairs as they were benches and stools with no back support. I ordered the Santa Maria Tri-tip sandwich and an iced tea. My son also got the same sandwich. Their sandwiches all come with Fritos unless you're looking to spend more for a salad, mac & cheese or chili. This was the best sandwich I've had in years! The baguette had a little crunch on the outside but soft on the inside. The tri-tip was hickory and apple smoked and was tender and delicious. The chimichurri was a perfect accompaniment, as were the roasted poblano peppers. I also enjoyed the Fritos as the side. We also received top-notch service from the waitress. I had requested this table so everything was smooth from calling in to getting in. My daughter and I arrived a little early to set up the table. We got everything set up and just chilled till everyone showed up. I did forget the birthday candles I bought so I drove home to grab them. I missed the whole ordering process. I had my daughter order the pineapple hanger steak with no potatoes subbed for veggies for me. I left before they ordered and was only gone for about 25 minutes. My food had already been sitting for 10 minutes waiting for me before I got back. I was honestly surprised at how fast everything was prepared. I did enjoy my meal. It was really good. The hanger steak was tender and very savory. The shishito peppers were cooked and grilled perfectly. I got a total of 6 and only 1 of them was spicy, I'm ok with that! The asparagus was grilled to perfection. Not overly cooked but tender with a slight bite. The best way to have asparagus. I think this would have been a 5 star experience but this is where I'm so unhappy. I brought a cake in. I also brought in candles, a vintage cake plate and plates for us to eat the cake on. It was all planned out. Our server did not communicate with me at all about the cake once she pulled it out for me. One minute it was sitting in it's box on the servers table and the next minute there's a huge, tacky firework in it. Like, I had a pretty cake made with delicate candles to put in it to have this goofy firework in the middle of it. I didn't take one photo of the cake before she violated it with the stupid firework. If you plan on bringing in a cake that you don't want touch, tell your server. Food was great. The vibe was chill. But I will always have this stupid firework in the middle of my cake as a core memory of this joint.
