We decided to come here for dinner one night simply because they had a dog friendly patio area but was pretty impressed with the pizza by the time we left. We ordered the Fried Nuggz, Honey Bastard (mozzarella, hot soppressata, bacon marmalade, habanero honey) as well as The Betty (bolognese, sausage, ricotta, mozz, and prosciutto. Personally, I loved the Honey Bastard more. There's just something about that salty, sweet, and spicy mix that I absolutely love. Great experience at Cane Rosso in Carrolton yesterday for lunch. Submitted an on-line order for a 1:00 pm pickup. I walked in the door at 12:59 pm and was greeted at the door by one the hosts. With a big smile he asked if he could help me. He proceeded to help me find my order and asked me nicely to make sure my order was complete. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Another friend went at a later time and absolutely loved (we for all from LA.). Sooo. I'm a long-time Cane Rosso fan and even though I don't live in the area, the Carrollton location has become my go-to location. - Atmosphere: This location is in the heart of downtown Carrollton. There are quite a few free parking lots in the area, but if they're full, there's plenty of parallel parking alongside the apartments in the neighborhood. The inside is spacious, making it a great place to make a large group reservation. There's also a dog friendly patio with heaters and weather flaps, so it's great place to sit outside even in the cold. You can also order your Cane Rosso to-go online and take it to 3 Nations Brewing nextdoor. - Service: On busy days, sometimes it can take a little time to order, but the good news is the pizzas come out extremely fast. My only other complaint is since I have an unusual name, the majority of time I order online, when I go to pick up my order, they say they don't have an order for me and it takes a while before they find my order. Other than that, service is great! - Food/Drink: I love the Capra 2.0 salad as a starter. Hard to beat a salad with dried cherries! The classic starters are great, like the crispy brussels and fried nuggz. Pizza-wise, the Honey Bastard is a must for the combo of bacon marmalade and habanero honey. Otherwise, I love the Zoli, Proscuitto and Arugula, and Truff Daddy. They have great monthly pizza specials as well. Awful customer service. Placed an online order. Was informed to pick up in 30 minutes. When we got there we're told order was not ready. Waited another 30 minutes and we're told it was being worked on. The whole time people came and went with their pickup orders. 10 more minutes pass and we received our order but apparently our pizzas were sitting in the to go rack for around 20 minutes. We went on a Saturday a little close to closing, but we were seated right away, got our drinks pretty quickly, it took a minute to get our order in but the food came out quick! My husband ordered a pizza, half Emma half Jabroni and I ordered the chicken parm. The pizza was wonderful! I love woodfire pizza, the chicken parm was just okay, big portion but wasn't a huge fan of it. The ambiance of this place is pretty nice. It had a wall of painted celebrities that was neat! We ordered pick up from here and took next door to the brewery. The pizzas were good, keeping in mind the crust is thin and soggy so don't load it with toppings. The focaccia bread was basically a dry whole pizza dough. It was not cut at all so it was very difficult to eat, considering no silverware were provided either. It would've tasted good with a dipping sauce of some kind. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, it is just convenient due to location and proximity to the brewery. Not Bad, looks pretty for a good photo too! Picked up the Betty white sauce and Zoli red sauce on a 4pm weekday. Service was safe and pizza came fresh right on the dot when we requested the pickup time. The sausage is legit with real fennels you can see and the red sauce pizza had a pretty decent kick to it! The white sauce Betty is an underdog and I'd recommend it! They have plenty of different styles to go for and both these are gonna be fine choices. I never write a review but tonight I had the worst customer service experience of my life, thanks to my server Victor and the Assistant Manager Matt. I went for dinner with a friend and my mother and when we went to order a drink and appetizers - I was carded. I provided a temporary paper license provided by the state. Our server Victor told me he would have to ask his manager if that was acceptable - I worked in the service industry for nearly 10 years and it is absolutely acceptable however the assistant manager Matt denied me. After questioning his reasoning Matt the assistant manager waffled back and forth between blaming TABC and Corporate while saying the paper license can't be validated and they have ways to check a real ID if they think its fake (which is the barcode on your ID, which my paper license has) he told me he could serve me but he was choosing not to - fine. Again, I'm with my mother and I myself am 33 years old so we asked if my parent could order my drink for me (which is ridiculous to ask but is legal in the state of Texas). Again he denied me service. While I was not happy at this point my party decided we would leave to eat at another restaurant but I asked for the information for corporate before leaving as well as their names. Rather than just giving me his name and leaving the situation with the manager, Victor told me to "grow up, and act like an adult" certainly not the best way to handle a disgruntled customer and an opportunity to reteach some basic customer service skills. Finally, after waiting for the assistant manager to bring me back any kind of contact information for corporate I was told he didn't have any cards, the phone number to the manager, any contact information for corporate but after not accepting this he finally gave me the email to his general manager. I have been coming to the Carrolton and Deep Ellum locations multiple times a month for years, love the food, but I will not be back. I understand the issues with alcohol - although as a bartender of nearly a decade in Texas I can say for a fact they are going far beyond what is required of them; From a customer service professional I cannot understand the assistant manager's avoidant behavior and the server Victor's demeaning and combative behavior when asked for his name would be cause for termination for anyone I employ. read more

All good but you know the heat is coming. 1/2 Star. Service - Unlike the sit down Cane Rosso a block away, there is no wait service. Instead, you stand in line - again social distant compliant - and you order at the register fast casual style. When your pizza is ready they'll call your name and you pick it up from the windows. Fast, friendly, and efficient. 1 Star. Food - The menu is limited only to pizza. If you're a fan of Cane Rosso's Neapolitan pizza (I am), you'll be right at home. If you want appetizers - sorry. This place has the most delicious pizza, and check out the garlic bread too! I went on 5/4, and they were celebrating Star Wars Day in style! A fantastic special on the Roni One pizzas, and an additional discount if you came in costume! Best pizza in Texas, even though it's a chain. We started going to Cane Rosso in Houston, but it wasn't until family moved to the Dallas area that we made it one of our regular spots every time we're in town, and this is a location that I highly recommend. Every pizza on the menu is good. Some are a little more Texan than Italian, but no matter what you're going to get a quality pie made from quality ingredients. Anyone whose been to Italy (especially Naples) knows what true authentic pizza tastes like. In the great state of Texas (I wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as soon as I could), this is close you'll get to the real thing. Figure you'll spend just under $20/pizza, and each pizza will feed one hungry adult. I like to walk in, order my pizza at the desk, and then go next door to 3 Nations brewery and have a pint of their Haze Wizard IPA while I wait for my pizza, and then get a 6 pack to go and take home. One of my boyfriend's Customers gave him a couple compliment pizza cards for Cane Russo so we decided to take 2 of our sons out last night. This was all of our first time trying Cane Russo and unfortunately I cannot discredit the staff - they were nice but they were too young to handle their jobs. The hostess wasn't very welcoming, she didn't even want to talk to us when we entered but we got her to laugh before left. Our waitress was so new, she didn't even know if they offered Long Island Ice Teas which is understandable so she asked the Hostess and she didn't know either so I walked to the bar myself and asked. Most of the wait staff look like they were just out of High School. It took 15 minutes to get our first round of drinks, and then when we ordered our second round, our waitress forgot about them. The drink price was overpriced based on what we got but the price of everything is going up these days everywhere. Our pizza was about $20-$22 a piece considering we got toppings but the size of it could have been a little bigger than 14" for the price. I've been to a few different wood burning pizza establishments and so far this one is the worst. 2 out of 3 of our pizzas had a burnt taste (the bottom were black) but they were beautiful for me to take a pizza and the dough was very soft. Quite a wait for a pizza ordered as a take out. I didn't feel like dining in. The location is a great area of downtown Carrollton and around plenty of other shops, bars, boutiques you name it. But I'm here for the food. And this pizza was underwhelming. I loved the flavor but the bottom of the pizza was a bit burnt; maybe it was left in the forno too long, who knows. I love that the pizzas are baked in a classic way. When they are done right they hit the spot, but it wasn't my night. I would've also like more chicken on top. I got the Fusilli Alla Vodka which has sausage, vodka sauce, roasted red pepper, caramelized onions, and garlic breadcrumbs.
