Cane Rosso in Dallas has a great family-friendly atmosphere and a warm, inviting vibe that makes it an easy place to relax. The authentic wood-fired pizza oven is a centerpiece of the restaurant, and the menu offers a wide variety of unique pizza options with creative flavors you don't find everywhere. Their meatball appetizer is solid, and the salads are surprisingly great-fresh, balanced, and definitely worth ordering. That said, the pizza itself is where things fall short for me. Despite the thin crust, it comes out wet, floppy, and lacking any real crispness. It's honestly the most floppy pizza I've ever had, and it tends to fall apart as you eat it, which takes away from the experience. The flavors are fine, but the texture really misses the mark. The good news is that Cane Rosso offers plenty of non-pizza options that help make up for it, and the atmosphere, service, and variety keep it from being a bad visit. But if you're coming strictly for great pizza, just be prepared: this style is soft, wet, and definitely not crisp. I give the pizza a 2. Earns an extra star for atmosphere and service and decent appetizers and good salads. If you're hungry for good or even decent pizza go somewhere else. **update** the $11 house salad is comically lacking. The wood-fired cheesy garlic bread ain't it either folks. See attached photos. It's like if a slug and an oil slick on the road had a baby and someone threw some raw dough on top of it.

Worst pizza I have ever eaten. Not done. Thin runny sauce like tomato juice. Could not even hold pizza to eat. Like a saltine cracker soaked in milk. Disgusting

Beautiful Restaurant with friendly staff and variety of food options. Our waiter was very energetic and fun and was knowledgeable about the food options. We did family style so we can try different food options such as two types of salads, three pizza's, and two type of pasta's. My favorite was the bolognese, the pizole corn pizza, and the Cesar salad. Also got to try their different drinks. My only complaint was that service was a bit slow but other than that everything else was great and would definitely be back.

Brought here by some locals. The staff was really nice and speedy. The indoor seating is spacious and the bathrooms are clean. The outside area looked very shady and open. The pizza was thin and had softer crust. Pastas were so flavorful and filling. Great place!

2/5 overall review. Due to pasta dish lack flavor & noodles under cooked. WOOD-FIRED CHEESY GARLIC BREAD Garlic butter, mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, oregano, chile flake, marinara 4/5 due dough maybe undercook. Drink was 5/5 if you like orange and cream. Waiter was 3/5 little overly flirty but did forget my pasta order and redeemed by giving me free orange drink. 5/5 Ambiance great music, tv on everywhere great view other restaurants as well. Definitely recommend for birthday dinner but I would not recommend come back for any pasta dishes.

Consistently awesome menu-the honey bastard pizza was a secret pizza menu item way back but now it's on the main menu! So yummy! The Capra salad is a divine side! Peroni beers are $4.00 during the 3-6 pm happy hour Mon-Fri! Also $2 off appetizers and house cocktails during happy hour. Marco is an awesome bar tender! Liz the assistant general manager is so personable ! Great experience overall! Chill ambiance!

This place served up some of the best neapolitan style pizza ive ever had from a chain. The honey bastard pizza was the best. Sopresatta, spicy honey, And fresh mozzarella, very tasty! The oizza with Brussels sprouts was superb as well. The crust, excellent. Ambiance was nice & clean, and the service seamless.

Big fan of Christian's establishment "Cane Rosso"! The pizza is the perfect piece of home. The menu is curated well and offers many options from reds and whites.

Cupid Alla Vodka - Pasta of the Month

I LOVE my old neighborhoods Cane Rosso on Gaston. I walked in and was immediately greeted with two smiles from Johnny and Coleson. I had the pleasure of being served by Coleson. I ordered a N/A Margarita 10/10. Then the BRUSSEL SPROUTS which are easily the best in town. I ordered a Valentines special, the Cupid Alla Vodka. It had heart shaped pasta!! Are you kidding??? Coleson was very attentive, kind and I will be back to ask for him! Thank you!!!!!!!!

    Shaved Brussels pie yummm!

Was on a culinary Emersion of Dallas last week one of our stops was Cane Rosso for their pizza and it was amazing my kind of pie Neapolitan crust thin with a great chew and flavor. We had great service the staff super friendly and accommodating. Great indoor space as well patio seating. Full bar with cold beer stop in and give it a try make it an outing and have a Neapolitan pie and then go next door to their sister restaurant Thunderbirds and have a Detroit Style

I was the first one there and saw the birthday girl/family pulling up as we walked in. We checked in and asked if there was a seating policy for reservations (which we had and were on time for) and the hostess said "as long as you have 6 people from your group we can get you seated." The birthday family arrived with their 4 and two more of our group came in 30 seconds after that. We watched as several other big parties who mentioned their remaining people were in the restroom or coming got seated before us. We asked second hostess if we could be seated soon since we had 8 of 10 people and she said they only seat full parties and we had been waiting 15 mins with our 8 by then in the small entrance. That was new news. She said she'd get the manager to see if it was okay and he informed us that they seat full parties for a better experience, but we were a bit disappointed at that point because we were told different on the phone and in person at that point. We finally got seated and our last two did come very late, admittedly, but we still had a good experience with the food and drinks. The salad and meatball appetizers were both tasty. The meatballs were very flavorful and they replenished both appetizers when asked. They had several interesting flavors to try including pizzas with goat cheese, buffalo chicken pizza, white pizza etc. I tried almost everything and was impressed with the flavors. The white pizza was surprisingly spicy to be scallion based, but I really enjoyed it! We also all saved space to try to desert pizzas and the dule de leche was a favorite amongst our group. Most of the table order wine or cocktails and they were all highly favored. The passion fruit margarita was pretty good. We did have to wait a little while occasionally for water refills, but our servers were still doing a good job with how packed it was in there. The parking wasn't terrible - it's a decent sized lot for the area, but I think luck plays a roll in if you're able to park easily or have to wait a bit for a spot. All in all, we had a good foodie experience here will make sure the whole party is present before returning!

Our standard order is a large three topping with pepperoni, real Italian sausage and onions. You've got to try onions as that touch of sweet helps with all the savory flavors. We always include a side salad with their homemade blue cheese dressing for a small charge $2.55! You've can also purchase their homemade salad dressings by the pint or quart. The pizza takes a minute to get made so the salad calms our appetite. I swear it's cheaper to get a glass of their house wine than to get a glass of tea so don't hesitate to order. This place is a definite bargain on many items. Now the pizza is just spectacular. The Italian sausage is the real thing that has been sliced from the links not the sausage "turds" you get with fast food pizza. The crust is perfectly yeasty and the thickness on the medium side. They also serve on a rack at the table to keep the crust fresh. Since we order a large it is a knife and fork pizza with the heavy cheese and toppings. Another favorite dish is their lasagna. I've lost count how many times I've ordered at the restaurant and to go. It comes with a choice of salad or minestrone soup. The soup is homemade and simply the best warming dish - a hug in a bowl loaded with veggies. Service is always friendly. The murals of Italian scenes and the wine bottles hanging from the ceiling add a fun touch. Just don't forget to try the pizza and you won't have regrets. They were well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the ricotta cheese, and during Happy Hour all appetizers were $2 off, which was a nice bonus. We also took advantage of the $10 Happy Hour Margarita Pizza, along with a couple of pizzas not included in the deal like the Truffle Shuffle and the Honey Bastard. All of them were solid and flavorful choices. The food came out quickly, the restaurant was clean, and the service was great. Our server, Emma, took excellent care of us and explained their authentic pizza style: a thin, crunchy crust with a perfectly chewy inside. I'm giving this a solid 4 stars instead of 5 simply because while everything was very good, nothing quite wowed me enough to push it into "must-have, can't-stop-thinking-about-it" territory. Still, it's a great spot with good food, good service, and a worthwhile Happy Hour.

We were told we had to place our entire order at once, and despite our reservation noting that we were celebrating a birthday, he never acknowledged it or even asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. When we mentioned it ourselves, he didn't respond at all. While returning from the restroom (which was also uncomfortably hot and stuffy), I spoke with the manager, Jason, about our experience and asked if we could switch servers. Thankfully, Vlad, who had been serving nearby tables, took over our table. He was a complete turnaround. Vlad was personable, energetic, attentive, and provided the level of hospitality we expected. He truly saved what he could of the experience. Our group spent over $750 on food and drinks. The appetizers and sides were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the entrees didn't live up to the same standard. One steak was overcooked and had to be sent back. By the time the replacement arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. The Salmon Diane was also dry and overcooked. To end the night, while we were waiting for our checks to be processed, Jason came over and told us the next reservation had arrived and that we needed to leave. We explained that we were simply waiting to pay, yet no effort was made to speed up the process by collecting our payment or offering to run the checks. It felt rushed and incredibly inhospitable, especially after everything that had already gone wrong. The only reasons this review isn't one star are Vlad and the excellent appetizers and sides. We've dined at many high-end restaurants, and this was by far one of the most disappointing service experiences we've had, especially for a special celebration. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
