We picked up Cane Rosso to go for a small outdoor hang out with friends, and the food was overall okay. The gluten friendly pizza crust on the other hand was like cardboard. If you are gluten free, then we recommend ordering something other than pizza. I'm sure it's because we ordered during busy hours, but one of our pizzas was missing arugula (paid extra for it). We will probably give this spot one more try, but avoid the gluten friendly crust. The $4 up charge is almost criminal for the product. read more

Came Rosso never fails to please. I've been here a total of four times and every visit has yielded great food, attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. This most recent visit I ventured into the realm of pasta, the Cacio e Pepe. It was served piping hot, with fresh Romano cheese and was rich and decadent. In my other visits I had different pizzas which were delicious and made with high quality ingredients, so it was nice to stray off my usual path and try something new. This time around we also indulged in The Jimmy Johnson appetizer, which is essentially a wood fired pizza crust filled with cheesy artichoke dip- definitely recommend. For dessert we had tiramisu. It was good, but perhaps a bit too much espresso, as it was overpowering the delicate marscapone flavor. The atmosphere is great too. There is a large patio area in addition to the main interior dining with excellent music that sets the atmosphere just right, casual and current. With it's close proximity to White Rock, Cane Rosso is a great destination for staying on the east side of the lake, with easy, accessible parking. So glad I had a chat with my waiter before ordering. I always say... I judge an Italian restaurant based on their fettuccini alfredo as is one of my favorite dishes. She said well.... this is not an Italian restaurant we are a pizzeria that happens to also make Italian dishes. So off I went and ordered the delia pizza and I am absolutely glad and in love with my decision. Wow... the fresh mozzarella, the fresh cherry tomatoes, the bacon marmalade and the aragula to top it off. Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. I just cant emphasize enough how good this pizza was. I am sure they have plenty of other pizzas I should try but honestly I am afraid of messing up the magic I created in my life with the delia pizza. So for now I just stick to this one. finally made it to "Cane Rosso" after my visit to the Dallas Arboretum (very close) i was early..so not many people in the Restaurant. i had the Meatballs first...very good..i did like the bread that came with it too. then i had the "Gus" pizza....mushrooms and sausage. the waiter explained how the pizza is "real" Neapolitan style. the taste was awesome...for some reason i thought the pizza would be crispy. But you have to eat it with knife and fork cause the middle is kinda soggy... That's okay because it was real good. I will check out the Fort Worth location soon. read more

There are a ton of reviews for you to read, so let me keep it brief: - order a pizza with a unique meat (mushrooms/olives/artichokes was just ok - all the other ones with a non-pepperoni meat that I've had are delicious) - half-salads look like full salads to me - if you want a TON of vegetables, order two half-salads, try two different kinds - save room for dessert, and do a dessert pizza - Peroni is Italy's Bud Light - pay an extra dollar and get a local (better) beer - if your group is small enough, sit at the bar in front of the pizza oven - dinner and a show - ask about what's not on the menu - those are invariably good options Even if you're not a pizza lover (like my wife), come here, and I bet you'll find at least one pizza that's got something on it that you do love. read more

Great pizza period. I can't wait to go back and try more. We ordered our pizza to go and loved the Zoli pizza. A bit soggy by time we made it home but that was easily fixed by reheating in the oven for a minute. Also, get the house made buratta. You want it. Trust me. Pretty disappointed after hearing all the great things about this place and then going there. I went there for my friend's birthday dinner last weekend - the food was good but it was nothing to write home about. I tried a bit of the four cheese pizza and one of the other ones I can't remember now and also had my salad. Like I said, food was good but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here or anything. We had an issue with reservations. My friend called the morning of our visit and was told by some guy that he can't take reservations for whatever reason - he suggested we just arrive early at 7 and the wait will not be as bad. We get there at 7 and guess what - apparently we could've made reservations but since we didnt - 2 hour wait. Secondly this place is NOT good for big parties. If you have more than 6 people I wouldn't bother because none of the tables can seat more than 6 comfortably. There was only ONE table that could seat 6. Most of them were 4 or 5 person tables. You'll have to wait forever to be seated because their management sucks and can't put a few tables together even when given 2 hours of time. Service was meh too and zero effort was made to help us out when asking for a few chairs. The pizzas I think are about 10 inches and each person ordered one or shared one with another person - avg price 13-16 dollars a pizza. Let's just say the wait is too long , the food too average, and the price too high for eating a pizza. Good thing I was there with friends otherwise NOPE. 2 stars means "Meh. I've experienced better." and that's a pretty accurate summary of my experience here. read more

A year later, it is time for an update. The hostesses still seem weak on how to work in a restaurant, but the waitstaff make up for their short comings. Jessica is great with new suggestions and advice on what to try. Sit at the bar to watch your pizza be made or sit outside on the patio. Either way there is some delicious pizza to be had. You can seat yourself at the bar, and get full service; an easy way to by-pass the hostesses. Delicious Neapolitan-style pizza that is best when dining in (take out can get a little mushy since the crust is so thin). The patio is fantastic in warm weather and indoor seating is roomy with trendy decor. Food comes out fast and we haven't had to wait for a table - both things I appreciate. I've been here (and the Deep Ellum location) many times. I prefer this location because parking is free and plentiful unlike Deep Ellum. Cane Rosso is known for their Neopolitan pizza which is EXCELLENT and delicious... But lately what I always go for is their A'matriciana pasta. They make their pasta fresh everyday and it really makes a difference. The sauce has a really deep flavor that I haven't been able to find anywhere else and the spice level is perfect. Definitely try the pasta! Another item I really like to get here is actually on their not-so-secret menu called the Honey Bastard pizza. It has a bacon marmalade and a honey-habanero sauce that is really addicting. Definitely ask your waiter about it if you want something a bit different. read more

Hey guys. I normally don't do this, because being a former chef, I've being on the other end. I ordered Uber eats for me and my daughter. The order was for 2 kids pizzas and one add sausage. When I received my order they both had sausage. Any one having children can understand this is a problem. Moreover Being this is a $6 pizza( and one of the best pizza in town) I was not looking for freebies or compensation. This is why one star. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. I get they make mistakes and so did I. My problem is the manager was short,rude with me and could care less. My take on it is she could of pretend to care at least. Just had a pizza delivered by Uber Eats and the pizza was super soggy and cold. I usually don't complain but pizza and appetizer we almost $50 after delivery fee so I called and the manager was beyond rude told me I must have never had there pizza it's supposed to be soggy! What!! Needless to say she told me there's nothing she can do. I'm going to call Uber Eats but as a business owner I would seriously consider who you have captaining your ship. Why is there a difference in portion sizes between Fort Worth and White Rock locations? Two days ago I ordered the brussel sprouts at Fort Worth and the portion is double the size of White Rock. This place has some delicious pizza. Not only is it the perfect size to split between two people, but it has one of the best appetizers around, Burrata. Imagine the most moist and delicious mozzarella you have had and then multiply it by 10. I mean we are talking high-quality right now. Great pizza if you want something more along the craft style. The location is tough to find but TONS of people were able to find it. A little too crowded for my taste but it wasn't horrible. They have lots of options, so ask your server if you are overwhelmed. They are usually extremely knowledgeable. Service is slow but most employees are very nice and helpful. The atmosphere seems like it was set up nicely, but needs better decor. It's a little too bright and bare, especially around the pizza oven. This is probably my favorite pizza place in Dallas! Thin crust pizzas and delicious salads. The whole atmosphere of this location is great. I especially love the outdoor seating area. It's laid back and a great place to enjoy pizza with your group. Staff seemed very thinly spread on a weekend night when I went recently which made ordering and getting refills a bit difficult. My fiancé and I have been here several times now. We have not ordered something we did not like! The atmosphere is very nice for ending a very long day or a long week at the office. We love being able to see the food being made and watch it come out of the oven. We have also tried some of the desserts, and they are just a s divine. Those with allergies, super accommodating and willing to tell you what you can and can't have. The only reason I am not giving this restaurant 5 stars is because some of the language of the cooks. I highly recommend staying away from the bar area where the oven is if you have children. I'm usually not effected by other people's language, but talking about customers where they can hear you is not acceptable. There were several men trying to encourage another worker to get a ladies number after staring at her. Very uncomfortable. With that being said, we will return just not to the bar area. read more

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. I heard a lot of good things and it did not disappoint. My date and I ordered the Zoli and Proscuitto e Rucola pizzas. The Zoli had a great spice to it due to the hot soppressata and sausage. The Proscuitto e Rucola was fresh and had a nice garlic bite to it. The bread was very thin and light and didn't make you feel gross or guilty for downing so much cheese and bread. I would definitely get those two again. For dessert, we ordered the Zeppole. Very nice texture, temperature, and sweetness. The chocolate on the side was almost not even necessary as it takes away from the natural sweetness and taste of the fried dough. Came here last Friday, wanted to try new pizza, This was the top pizza parlor in "D" Magazine so we headed out. The place was very busy and little to no seating in the waiting area. Waited 45 mins for a table by the entrance the location was extremely noisy. and our server was over sat. I will flat out tell you ambiance sucked. Not a good "date" place at all. This is the type of place you come with a group of friends and want to kill 4 hours. Honestly the pizza was Delicious we got the namesake cane rosso pizza and it was delicious. Stopped by on a surprisingly beautiful Sunday evening in September and had a fantastic experience at Cane Rosso White Rock. The atmosphere was good, the food was great, and the service was top notch. We started with the Carciofini and it was easily the highlight of my meal. We also had the burrata which was excellent. From there we opted for the caesar salad and while it was good, I would most likely try a different option next time as it didn't necessarily leave me wanting more. We ended with the Cane Rosso (with mushrooms added) and it was every thing I have come to expect and more from each location of this establishment I visit. Finally, I'd like to highlight the service we received. Our server's name was Brian and he was on top of his game. He made excellent recommendations and provided exceptional service to both me and my girlfriend. He single handedly turned was already a great experience into a phenomenal one. This is by far my favorite of the Cane Rosso locations because of the atmosphere and ease of getting in and out (parking). It's just an added bonus that there is a tap house next door for the craft beer aficionados we all know in our respective groups of friends. read more

We love this place during the week for $5-6 pizzas. I love Ella, which is a version of pepperoni. It is so good and spicy. The crust is thin- chewy in the middle and yet crust is a little crunchy. We had the brunch for the first time and I had the Mother cluckin bastard which was AMAZING! However I don't think it was worth $15. My husband had the Hylander. The savory waffle was good but did not dig the meatballs. What we should've had was the focaccia bread and brussel sprouts. Of course a pizza would've been just fine too. read more

No matter how hard I try, I just cannot find better pizza than Cane Rosso's 70 second perfection. If you like anchovies, ask for the Cesar salad with the white anchovies.
