For some reason those ordering coffee drinks always back up the line, really don't know why Despite the wait I still drive the two hours to pick up my order of sailor jacks. I call ahead to ensure they have them before the drive and I buy all they have every single trip. Wish I could pre order and buy even more! If you have not tried a sailor Jack you need to! It's like a mini gingerbread cake in a muffin tin, with raisins (I normally hate raisins!) and then coated in glazed donut sugar coating goodness. Just one of my favorite treats to have ever!!! And trust me I hate raisins but the recipe is not the same without them and they almost melt in your mouth. Just go with it and try one, or twelve! read more

This place has the best pastries, for a reasonable price. We pickup pastries here on every Cannon Beach visit.

I must admit I have a soft spot for a good old fashion bakery and yes the Cannon Beach Bakery hit all my pastries buttons, the selection was wonderful from breads to Danish and Scones. We took with us three soft and chewy Marion Berry Scones. Our clerk provided butter, a knife and napkins. We also couldn't resist ordering an Almond Bear claw, a Cherry Turnover, a Raspberry Danish, a Apple cider donut and, one Sailor Jack muffin. I am embarrassed to say this was for just the two of us. We finished everything by the next days breakfast and enjoyed a great smelling car for a couple of days. Everything was fresh with wonderfully flavorful. They also had an active coffee bar. So to but a bow on this review if you like good pastires, oh a one word of warning like every thing in Cannon Beach these morsels are a little pricey but I feel still worth it. read more

Wow, no question this place gets 5 Stars from me, between the pastries and the coffee (not to mention the great selection), I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an early morning pick me up! Surprised to see it only has 3.5 on Yelp.. We stopped here before most of the shops in town opened. Little did we know that we were doing a DOUBLE breakfast on this day, so we wet a little nuts pastry wise. The Apple Cider donut was a top 10 donuts in my book. They are old fashioned style and it was crispy on the outside just like I like them. My girlfriend got a Cream Cheese Danish, which I hate, but she seemed to enjoy it. If we had stayed in Cannon Beach for longer, I would have liked to try their sourdough bread, which seems to be the thing to get here. They also had great looking bagels and cupcakes. There was nothing wrong with the sandwich itself, nor Jif peanut butter itself, but if I'm going to pay $7 for a single PB&J, you could at least use Adam's. Tried the bakery again, and to be honest the product is way overpriced for the quality of goods provided. Poppy seed muffins were $4.10 each and the quality of the muffin has went down it just does not taste the same as it used to. While walking the shops, I stopped in to check out this bakery. There is a counter of baked goods right when you walk in with a basic assortment of doughnuts, scones, buttermilk and maple bars, and large cookies. Fresh breads filled the shelves behind the baked goods. A revolving case to the left has cannoli and there is a coffee bar with espresso drinks and a small sandwich menu. Selected a marionberry scone which was delicious. I've had them at the Lazy Susan Cafe down the street and as soon as I tasted it, I realized that they must purchase from Cannon Beach Bakery. The scone is large, covered with Oregon Marionberries and sanding sugar. As far is scones go, it's one of the best. Not dry at all. The reason for my 4 stars is the selection felt small and basic. Food may be good but the cost, service, and people are awful! The employees and what appeared to be the manager/owner spent most of their time yelling at each other and customers. They told us to wait outside and they would bring us our food. They didn't and instead we heard our name being yelled behind the counter, to go in and find another customer going thru our order bag. They messed up our order badly and then proceeded to fight us about fixing it. And not just a slight argument, a full on argument on us asking politely to correct our order and then wanted us to point out the employee who made the sandwich (how would we know, remember we were outside like you demanded!). We came early around 9am on a Sunday. No social distancing but many wore masks. It wasn't busy til after we left. I purchased a marionberry ($3.95) danish which is not my favorite but coming from HI and not having it there, wanted to indulge in something different. It was very good as well as the coffee. Coffee you pump yourself from a thermos but it was still good. Maybe I just needed caffeine. What wasn't pleasant was the lady who serviced me which appeared to be angry. Dark hair up and older, almost scolding in manner. I have never felt any hostility in OR except from her. For no reason. She must not be the owner as who would treat customers that way, and perhaps the same individual that another complained about. Find another employment if you hate your job. It left a very distasteful taste in my mouth for being on vacation. The establishment next door was full of joy. She could learn from that place how to treat customers. Cute bakery with friendly service and *most importantly* delicious baked goods! FOOD- We ordered a couple chocolate dipped Florentines (as big as my head) which were amazingly chewy and buttery with the right amount of nuts. They NAILED that tricky treat! SO DELICOUS!! We also tried a couple cannoli, also chocolate dipped on the ends. WOW! The shell tasted a little bland after eating the Florentine (which is not the cannoli's fault). I've been coming here for years on family trips to CB. It's the only bakery in the area (that I'm aware of beyond small coffee shops and the grocery stores) and it makes above average pastries, cookies, and loaves of bread. My personal favorites are the Marion berry scone and various danish, but there's honestly a lot more to choose from and I've never had anything disappoint. I usually come first thing in the morning (before 10am). I've never waited in a line. To all the other reviewers: it's a bakery...not a coffee shop. I work in this industry so I know how hard it is...but, also, a simple smiles goes a long way. NOT only did we feel like the BIGGEST burden to them by ordering 2 coffees and 4 pastries , all 4 of our pastries were crammed into one bag. When I asked if one could possibly be "heated," I got a MAJOR eye roll and audible sigh. I asked for a separate bag for the smooshed cookie, which the employee reluctantly handed me. The food was DELICIOUS, the coffee was just "ok," but, the service...terrible. We should have endured the lines elsewhere. That being said, service can be hit or miss. When I was there most recently the woman helping me was excellent. Efficient, kind, funny, and went out of her way to be helpful. We were in and out in just a few minutes. However, that's not always the experience. Often staff can be quite curt and act annoyed that they have to assist you. I have one family member who refuses to go in anymore. Still, I personally think it's worth popping in and supporting a small business for some tasty baked goods and a coffee. My family and I loved Cannon Beach Bakery!! We went to Cannon Beach for vacation and found this bakery our first morning there. We ended up going to the bakery every single morning for donuts and pastries for breakfast, that's how much we loved it! The service was great (everyone working there was so friendly and conversational) and the vibe in there is great too. There's no spot to eat inside that I can remember, but there are seats and tables outside. We never ended up eating there because we would just eat back at the place we were staying, though. I came to Cannon Beach Bakery on a Wednesday during Spring Break and it was pretty crowded. The staff are quick and attentive so the wait wasn't too long. My partner and I ordered a marionberry scone and a lemon bar. I would give the marionberry scone a 4.5/5. It was a little on the drier side so it was much more crumbly than I expected. I'd rate the lemon bar a 2.5/5. The crust was very thick and the lemon layer was too sweet for my liking. Textures and tastes of the lemon bar were just not great for me. read more

I've been going to CBB since I was a kid. Although it has changed owners everything tastes great and holds very special memories. The woman who helped me today was so kind and gracious, offering to help make suggestions. I noticed a treat my mom loves wasn't in the display so I asked her if they still make them. She was so kind and said she could have some made in an hour. I paid upfront and came back about 45 minutes later and as soon as she saw me she smiled and went back to grab them for me.
