Stopped in after a spin class and immediately undid all my hard work - no regrets. Went for Saturday brunch around 11:30am and it wasn't crowded yet, but it started filling up closer to noon. Ordered the migas (4/5). Well-seasoned and flavorful, with generous portions. Stopped in for a late lunch and pre-happy hour drink. Eddies staff was very welcoming and the fare was fantastic! We had the trompo grilled tacos and beef fajita street tacos. Both were really good but the trompo was a game changer. We also had the loaded queso which was yum. Both kinds of rice were good and the bean soup is a must have. We loved the option of eating outside and took advantage of it on a sunny afternoon (the space is covered so you don't have the sun beating on your). I went with the Chile Relleno. It was great having the option for the poblano pepper filling rather than the standard option of cheese. I went with the chicken and it was a great option. The portion of the chicken was very generous (essentially the entirety of the filling), wasn't dry, and had great flavor. My husband had the Chorizo Con Huevos. He loved the flavor of the dish, and the portion was the perfect lunch for him. Our server was friendly and attentive. Hot damn these are the best tacos I have had since moving to Texas (and I'm originally from Southern CA..) I got the grilled tacos asados with fajita chicken. The tortilla is grilled after it's been filled and it makes the cheese so melty and delicious. My husband got the tacos al pastor and he LOVED them- I don't like fatty meat so I wasn't a fan but he said they melted in his mouth. Carlos was our server and he had so much charisma. We stumbled into Eddies on the hunt for dinner after having holiday cocktails at Leela's and oh my, it was amazing! I went ahead and tried one of their frozen margs and it was classic, I also ordered their crunchy tacos and they were great! What really stood out was their charro beans! They tasted like something I would make at home for family! My boyfriend enjoyed from fried tacos and they were delicious with a wonderful crunch! Third time here in about 2 weeks and it's each visit has been more enjoyable. - Friendly service and a visible presence of management who make their way around. - If a Mexican restaurant can't get the chips, salsa, rice, beans, and margaritas right, I'm not sure what they are doing in business. This was my first time trying out Eddie's but I had to try it out after my parent's stellar review. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating-- outdoor seating is covered and is pretty well air conditioned since they keep the bar windows open for the air to come outside so it doesn't feel too hot! We sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely nice and helpful with suggestions on what to try! Seemed very knowledgeable and was very attentive. We ordered some margs (both frozen & on the rocks) & they were very yummy! Ordered a mojito as well & that was strong too ;) The food was great in my opinion. Pretty large portions and was able to share plates with a group of three including myself. I did really love the nachos but I joked with my friends that there were literally two pieces of meat on each nacho lol. Still really good anyway. On a Wednesday night we were able to get a table outside on the patio for two. Enjoyed the outside atmosphere of Lower Greenville. Chips and salsa was complimentary and tasty. We both ordered Quattro combos. The meal came within ten minutes and everything was hot and fresh. We both enjoyed the meal with some extra sour cream. I felt overall the food was good, not great. The chicken was a bit dry. Rice was a bit bland but my better half told me that's more authentic. I'm not a big carb eater so it was a cheat for me... just wanted more I guess. read more

Delicious. While visiting Trader Joe's, we spotted Eddie's across the street and decided to give it a try. Salsa and chips were really good, both the medium chilled salsa and the warm spicy salsa. Daughter had lunch chicken fajitas and wife had a chicken Bad A** Burrito. Both were generous portions and they both enjoyed it. Friend and I both had Grilled Asada Tacos-- she had a mix of c fajita and shredded chicken and I had a mix of trumpo pork and beef fajita both were really good but I liked the beef the best. We also had chips and salsa, bean and cheese nachos, a large queso, and elote on the cob. The salsa was FANTASTIC! Very good salsa. The queso was NOT good - I do not recommend ordering it. It had a very floury kind of taste and tasted more like an Alfredo sauce than queso. Even adding salsa to it didn't help much. The nachos were ok, but served on the round "Ricos" type chips. The elote was good, but needed some lime to really get more flavor. Overall, it was pretty expensive for food we thought was just ok. It works in a pinch, but avoid the queso. read more

The food here taste so amazing! I recommend this place for your favorite Tex mex dishes! The place is super small, super intimate and it's always crowded. It's on Greenville so you need to make sure that you park somewhere on the side parallel. Or you can be like me and park at Trader Joe's and just walk across the street. It's a risk though. You can't really fit that many people in here so make sure you know that when you sit down you'll be super close to people. However the food really makes up for the amount of space a restaurant has. I had a chicken flautas and it was so delicious. Super crispy, the meat was super tender, and the rice and beans were perfect. I really want to come back and try more! read more

Stuffed jalapeños, ceviche, loaded queso or guacamole are a delicious way to start. No bad choices. Soups and salads hit the spot for lighter fare. The entrees are excellent too. Sizzling fajitas smell intoxicating as they are delivered to a neighboring table. The carne picante and stuffed chile rellenos might be my favorite... and the huevos rancheros will be a repeat especially since they serve '¡Huevos all damn day!' Yaaas!!!!
