Came in on Mother's Day after walking the trail! The day was nice at first until it turned into the Amazon rain forest outside. There's an inside and outside area, which we sat inside, because of the rain. They even welcomed the dogs in. They have a pretty simple menu that was very appealing with different options. We ordered the: Street dog w|crema on the side. The veggies weren't overcooked, but they were bland, and they also could have cooked a few mins longer for my liking, the bread was good as well as the dog. Burrito bowl with fish. To me it was regular, nothing really special about it. Overall I think I'd come back to try the empanadas. Because based on some pictures I see they look pretty good, but I'd definitely ask for different dipping sauces just incase it's bland. read more

Service was great, can't in a packed Friday night and was able to get sat instantly. And able to place orders shortly there after, and the food didn't take long either. Unfortunately my taco and fries arrived cold, the street dog did arrive with a temperature, but both it and the taco were lacking in flavor. The drink prices here are decent especially if drinking beer, and that's all I would recommend stoping in for, especially if you catch a live music night since they have a stage. read more

Got there for a friends birthday and servers and hostess were just plain rude the entire time. There was about ten of us and considering a big group is good for tips, our server barely checked in and had rude manors when talking to the group. We LOVE Tequila Social! It's the perfect place to gather with friends in a lively ambiance. During football season this place tends to be bustling. We love going during the colder months, when the heaters are on after a chilly walk. Drinks are always spot on and nothing beats chips & salsa over good conversation. Y'all, run (or walk) here from the Katy trail....ASAP! Especially during Happy Hour lol. This place is a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon after being on the trail or not. The happy hour is solid: we got the spicy margaritas, and tacos from the HH menu and we also got the chips and guac. We also got the empanadas not on the HH menu which were tasty. All the food was flavorful and I enjoyed it. The free salsa is fresh tasting as well. The prices are great and it's a nice break from the trail. They have TVs outside so you can watch any sports out there as well. Service was solid, I really appreciated the bartender we had. We enjoyed our first visit here. The tacos were good and the drinks were ok. I usually enjoy my liquor straight but wanted to try a margarita since we heard good things. The margarita was too sweet so we got two extra shots each. It's really an outdoor/patio restaurant which we didn't know. We came in and sat inside. It took someone about 5+ minutes to come and tell us that we had to order at the bar and there was no service inside. That wasn't really clear to us. My friends and I had the best time ! There's a parking garage that you pull into, and once you park, you can walk directly into the restaurant. They will validate parking for free for 3 hours- we got there at 7pm and didn't leave until 10:30pm so I only had to pay $5 for parking to go over that validation period. But Tequila Social is located right on the Katy Trial and is very similar to Katy Trail iced house, except in my opinion is more responsibly priced. The margs were pretty good and the food was tasty! Stopped in after a Katy Trail walk and had a really solid meal. The mango frozen marg with a Tajín rim was perfect! We split the mixed fajitas and the dip trio. Would give 2.5 if I could. Came here for a friend's birthday. Called ahead to ask if there was a wait or if we needed a reservation for a party of ten and they said it wasn't busy so we could just walk in. When we got there I saw plenty of open picnic style tables but instead they crammed us around some low fire pit which was terrible when we ordered drinks and food. I understand ten can be a big group but our waiter got multiple drink orders wrong, and when we told him we received the wrong drinks he just asked us if it was okay if we kept them...??? He comped one for the bday girl but everyone else just kept their wrong drinks or traded each others. There was also a cowboys game on at the time that we couldn't see since we were far from the TVs but there was a speaker right next to us blasting the game so loud. We asked the waiter if it could be turned down and he said yes. After a while of him being gone it never got turned down so we asked again and he said he forgot but would tell his manager. Then he came back to tell us his manager said no??? He was very inattentive the entire time we were there and I had to get up and find him twice to ask for water and more chips for our appetizer. He forgot napkins and utensils for our food as well. When it was time to pay the bill he said he could "try" to split it but preferred if I just put down one card. I am always fine with doing that for a big group but just weird that he said that before I even asked to split it or not. Location is a little confusing just because the entrance is through a parking garage, but they have signs that you can follow to the garage. Tequila social was so kind to invited us back after they noticed the 30 min wait we did for warm drinks 2 weeks ago. This time the service was super efficient!! We ended up getting the same thing- 2 rounds of skinny margaritas ($13) and also a quesadilla ($16). The quesadilla was super hot and huge- we all split it since we weren't too hungry. The drinks this time came out cold. I noticed the other tables around me had similar service- this is probably more accurate to how they operate on a daily. We loved the complimentary margs and the sincere apology- I'd recommend to sit inside for drinks or faster service and we will def be coming back!! read more

I came here with a friend for lunch. We decided to seat outside since the weather was quite nice. We started out with the Cantina Nachos and some Empanadas. The Cantina Nachos were pretty good and so were the Empanadas. The presentation of the empanadas was amazing. For drinks I tried the Spicy Skinny and Blood Orange Coconut Margarita, they were both delicious but the Blood Orange Coconut was my favorite. For my meal I had the Cantina Burger and it was delicious and flavorful. For dessert we decided to try the Churros and they were unfortunately not the best. Went on a Thursday evening and ordered the nachos with brisket on the side. Very disappointed as the chips were stale, broken small pieces, lacking queso and toppings. When we went two weeks ago on a Friday they were great and smothered in queso. Both visits the chips they first bring to the table were stale. Drinks: had the best skinny margarita two weeks ago, but this visit it was super sweet that I had to add water to it and still couldn't finish it. My husband's ranch water had some sort of lime syrup in it that made it more of a margarita. This place could be great if they were more consistent. Nachos should never be broken pieces with few toppings. That's an easy fix. read more

I was so excited to hear another restaurant was opening up on the trail!! And such a close walk from me. I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to the hype but luckily it did!!! I LOVE that the happy hour goes till 6 so us WFH people can run over there and have plenty of time for yummy drinks and food. The HH menu is amazing, lots of great choices and great prices. I got the taquitos and they were good! For $7 I'd get them again, but definitely wouldn't pay more than that. The next time I got the Baja fish tacos and that will definitely be my new go to. Great flavor and great food amount for the price. I honestly don't think I will go here if it's not happy hour though, because the food prices are outrageous. Let's be honest, I came mostly for the margs and they did NOT disappoint. They are small but pack a punch. I was worried they'd be watery because of the size and price but I was wrong. HIGHLY recommend the skinny Marg. Great flavor. Didn't love the strawberry margarita but I think it may be because I don't like margarita mix. Service wise- it's not the best. The servers are all so nice, but both times I went I swear we didn't see or hear from our server for 45-hour after being there for an hour. If you want to get the most out of happy hour before it ends good luck finding your waiter to come serve you. Just another restaurant on the trail. I was super excited to try Tequila social when they were building it as I would pass the adverts as I was walking the Katy Trail. It seemed like a Tex-Mex twist to the Ice House and would be a great addition. Unfortunately, the experience did not add up to the hype. To begin, we chose to sit outside but I had to run inside to use the restroom & that experience alone made me glad we chose outside seating. Inside was very compact and uninviting. To top it off, the plumbing in the bathroom was subpar. Moving back to the dining experience: Our waitress was kind; however, seemed under experienced as she would often drop things off without asking if we needed anything else. My husband ordered the spicy margarita with the carne asada tacos, and I had the chicken quesadillas. The spicy margarita was strong and spicy which is a win in our books; however, the meat on the carne asada tacos was fatty with a less than flavorful "salsa" on the side (I can honestly say I've had spicier tomato soups). The worst part of the experience was when my quesadillas came out with a long hair cooked into the top tortilla meaning it came from the kitchen area. I understand that mistakes happen; however, I was able to see the hair as soon as the waitress set down our food. This disturbed me as that would mean the chef, expo, and waitress all saw this food and didn't even glance to make sure it was up to basic standards (I also want to note that there were only a few other tables there so business/distraction is not a viable excuse). I will say that I appreciated how prompt our server was to address this when I notified her; however, from that point on I was very conscious to check my replacement food before eating. The replacement came within about 15 minutes and had a decent amount of chicken and a nice balance of meat and cheese. The accoutrements were lack luster. Sour cream = standard, pico de gallo = clearly store bought and tasted like it was on its last day before going rancid, and the guacamole was just mashed avocado(no seasoning, lime juice, etc.) All in all, I do not plan to revisit, but I hope they make the necessary changes to stay a trail hot spot! read more

Margs were also on the happy list the I enjoyed my Spicy margarita on the rocks while my husband drank his frozen mango/regular marg swirl. Not a huge fan of that. Inside, everyone was having a good time and it got very loud. All surfaces were hard so sound was bouncing everywhere. The staff handled a loud table with finesse, and they calmed down thankfully.
