So we decided to try a different Chinese food restaurant that is local to us. Surprisingly the food is actually delicious, flavorful, and worth this review. The food was prepared hot and stayed hot as we traveled home to enjoy it. The staff is fast with on the go orders and preparation so the supposed 30 minute wait was not 30 at all. ( more like 15 ). The restaurant had a few patrons in it and there is an abundance of seating. So come on by to dine in or take it to go, but try the food. The food is the shining star of this location. Try the orange chicken , its sauce is made fresh with hefty slices of oranges, fried rice, egg roll, and your choice of soup. The thick sweet orange flavor left us wanting more. The sweet and sour pork in a red sauce with crisp carrots, onion and peppers slices also a great contender. Lastly sesame chicken ( not spicy- you can add heat to spice it up). These three meals ( for our family) had us talking about what else we should order the next time we are hungry. They have amazing food that should be tried. read more

We love going to Canton House for our Chinese food! I love that they put the sauce on the side- and that it has the extra flavors of peppers, pineapple etc in the sauce. The chicken is always fried to perfection. The house fried rice is very tasty, and filling. You get the container and second guess if it will be enough- but it is plenty! read more

Ok, mixed review on this place. I loved the main dishes we got. They are super good and honestly I would come back for them. Got sesame chicken, some shrimp in lobster sauce, and Mongolian beef. The crab rangoon are good and I would for sure recommend. The house won ton soup is really good (would love if some pork and beef were in it too but that's just me). The only things we didn't really love were the lo mein, needs more sauce cooked into the noodles (had to doctor them a bit for my own liking). Also fried rice that comes with the mains is just soy sauce rice, would have loved a lil more flavor but used it the next day with the leftover white rice and made some dry curry rice with it. Service is good, the lady there was super nice and made the visit good. The ambiance is that of a Chinese restaurant so expect that. Will order from again and try other dishes. I really wanna try the sweet and sour cause they make it the Hong Kong way with the veggies and pineapple from the pictures (even if it comes in the sauce) read more

Went for lunch today. Fast and friendly service. Staff was all masked unlike most places we've been to recently. Hot and Sour soup tasted good, but didn't taste like hot and sour, more like a modified egg drop soup, but still tasted good. My wife got shrimp and scallops and I got happy family. Both looked good and made with fresh ingredients. Both dishes were on the salty side. Fried rice came with our meals but was dry and hard. The staff cheerfully exchanged it for white rice. The restaurant can be much better than today's meal, so I'll be back and give them another chance. read more

The food was decent. The flavors were acceptable, but nothing exciting. Ingredients were adequate but meats and vegetables were not in abundance. Portion sizes were good, especially the rice and soups. On this trip we had Sesame Chicken, House Lo Mein, Shrimp Lo Mein, House Won Ton Soup (extra chicken and vegetable's beyond the traditional dish), Sizzling Rice Soup, and Crab Rangoon. My wife and I ordered takeout for a special occasion. The order was ready on time, the service was friendly, the food was good, and the portions were large. We both agreed that the egg rolls were among the best we've had from a low-priced Chinese restaurant - perfectly crispy on the outside and densely packed with chewy vegetables on the inside. The lemon chicken was good. (What can I say - it's not my favorite dish, and it doesn't keep well, even for a short wait on the counter and a 10 minute drive home.) On the other hand, the Hunan beef with shrimp was excellent, a perfect balance of generous amounts of beef and extra large shrimp with a variety of crisp but tender vegetables. I ordered the medium hot, and it had just enough heat to really wake up the taste buds without overwhelming. The fried rice was a bit of a disappointment. I noticed a couple of minuscule bits of egg, but otherwise It seemed like someone had taken steamed white rice and mixed in a bit of uninspired brown sauce. I'm not being racist but they all (Chinese restaurants) have shit customer service. I would have returned my order since I had only a few bites but unfortunately it was delivered to me and calling them back would have been wasted time. I've been coming here for 2 years. Today I ordered a large vegetable combination with tofu. I NEVER HAD ANY issues in the past. Today, I get my order and make it all the way home and noticed that my order was incorrect. Meaning a small amount of vegetables. I then called the restaurant back and spoke with Sophia. She informed me to come back in so they could correct my order. When I got back to the restaurant, she charged me for an ENTIRE new meal. She claimed that I ate some of the food before I came in??? I'm appalled. Excellent food . Customer service was horrible! I can't believe that Sophia charged me for an entire new meal after coming back to the restaurant from Home... She smiled and said the new price? Although I paid for the new meal she lost a valuable customer. This place checked out well on Yelp so we dropped in on a cool Sunday afternoon while on a road trip to Canton. Situated in an older strip mall the place is rather small but was clean. We found the menu to be typical Chinese fare and arrived before 3pm so the lunch menu was still available. My beautiful wife had moo goo gai pan and I enjoyed Generals chicken. The lunch included soup (Egg Drop for us), entree, rice (white or fried), a crab Rangoon and small egg roll. The food was fresh and flavorful with goodly portions. Enough to take some home. I tried Canton House Chinese today for my lunch and am shocked at the amount of food I received for the cost. My lunch included a choice of soup and an egg roll. In addition with my meal where so many places today you pay extra for those two side items and cost 5$ or more for just the meal... no sides. I had spicy garlic chicken and it has great flavor and lots of chicken. This is definitely my new go to for Chinese food. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Cherokee County. They are fantastic for lunch. $5-$6 dollars gets you a huge lunch, an egg roll, a crab Rangoon thingy, rice, and a bowl of soup. I stuff myself and take home more than I eat. Gigantic portions of food per plate enough for at least two meals. Don't forget to check under the rice, there is even more food hiding under there! The quality of the food has always been top notch. Each order cooked to order fresh. They really pay attention to detail. I even saw them manicuring the snow peas one day prepping for the next service. Their spicy food is actually spicy. The crunchy food is actually crunchy... etc. Some restaurants say that, but have bland food, but this place has the taste. The couple of employees that they have are great too. Always friendly and always smiling. They get 4.9 stars out of 5. 0.1 off because I love hot and sour soup and think it is a benchmark at most Chinese restaurants. I understand people make mistakes but I asked for plastic silverware, she gave me some but was acting weird and put it in the bag for me like she knew the order was wrong. She could have at least asked if wanted extra sauce packets or something for the dry chicken instead of the two soy sauce in the bag or told me the issue and i wouldnt have paid for it...
