TLDR: Fantastic food and service!!! Do not judge this place by its storefront, I t's gorgeous and spacious inside. The decor and ambience gives fancy date night vibes. But let's talk about the food. It's authentic, tasty, and the portions are more than generous. Give this place a shot

Came for lunch and we got to order from the lunch menu. The interior was really pretty and the lunch prices were pretty fair. The kung pao chicken honestly was not my favorite, it didn't taste too authentic to me and it was kind of sweet. The salt and pepper shrimp batter wasn't too tipsy and the dish was overall okay. Their lunch also come with two shumai and a soup. The egg drop and hot and sour soup both were pretty good. We also ordered the Crystal shrimp dumplings and I would say the size was pretty good! The shrimp was also fresh tasting. Service was friendly though! Overall hoping to try their dinner menu for better items.

Pretty empty for a Friday night but it's still new so maybe people don't know about it yet! The waitress was working really hard since she appeared to be the only one there. The food was better than we thought it would be. Hot and sour soup was very good. Sesame chicken was good but a bit too sweet and tasted like sweet and sour chicken instead. Chicken and broccoli was good and had a lot of veggies! If you want standard takeout that's good but not great it's a decent spot.

The food was delicious! The menus have so many pictures so it makes picking your meal fairly straight forward which I appreciated a lot. All the apps and dim sum were spectacular! The food came out timely and the waitress attended us well. The decor was a well done modern-Asian and had ample space for small and large parties. A great place with good prices.

My son and I came here on a Sunday around 11::15 am. We had planned to go to a neighboring restaurant had told us they would not be open for 30 minutes, so Canton Kitchen got our business instead. We were seated relatively quickly as a party had just come before us. They were doing some decorating with bamboo which caused a little of drilling before our meal started. A family with two little kids was a little loud which did not disturb me but did annoy my son. Our server was attentive and refilled our waters as well as offered to bring my son another bowl of rice which I appreciated. We ordered the beef curry, pan fried pork buns, string beans, and braised fish hot pot. I enjoyed the food and definitely will plan to bring my family when then are in town! The server did an excellent job packing up the leftovers which are abundant, as the portion size is large for the entrees , good for sharing with your friends and family size!

The Canton House on Buford Highway is my family's go-to for authentic Cantonese dim sum in Atlanta…read more The food is always up to expectations each and every visit. Having been at least once every couple months for years, it's our Chinese comfort food as dim sum is meant to be. Although I would recommend arriving at anytime they are open, we find the absolute best time for dim sum is to arrive right at opening on Saturday or Sunday. This time lets us beat the wait, get a great table fast, and the food is super plentiful, hot and fresh out of the kitchen. The chrysanthemum tea is a must have and complements the food as a perfect, tasty, and just sweet enough palate cleanser (although I would prefer to add the rock sugar myself to my tea, they serve it with sugar already inside the pot). For the absolute best pairing with your chrysanthemum tea, make sure to save room for the awesome pineapple buns while supplies last. They were out today and we all collectively cried (will be going back just for the pineapple buns soon...we are just not complete without them!). We love all the dishes, but our absolute favorites (outside of the pineapple buns) are the pork spare ribs with black bean, the beef rice rolls/noodles, shrimp dumplings, and turnip cakes. Add some spicy sauce to the spare ribs and turnip cakes to really set them off! For iced coffee lovers who like it really strong, don't pass up on the iced coffee. It has legs that are strong enough to walk, but completely complements the dim sum with a little extra boost to help you enjoy the day. So, I challenge others to find a better dim sum place in Atlanta. That is why Canton House earns my 5th star and looking forward to getting my pineapple buns (really) soon!

We started with the flower tea, amazing choice! Sweet and warming, nicely aromatic. Perfect start. Then the dim sum carts rolled in and we chowed down. DISHES I ORDERED - Siu Mai: Not the best I've had. Quite oily on the outside, but the flavor isn't bad. It does...taste like siu mai. It's just nothing spectacular - Chinese Broccoli: A classic! Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. However, service is fast since it is dimsum, so perfect to eat when hungry! Also great ambiance for big group parties or hangouts!

If you come on the weekends, beware the lines and wait time is absolutely nuts. Hostess was getting a bit frustrated, but all the servers/staff inside with the dim sum carts were super nice and personable. There's a tablet to check in at the door when you walk in. The inside was also renovated and looks very different than the old restaurant. Parking is also limited when it gets busy. I don't really eat meat much anymore besides seafood. So I didn't try too many dishes. But my dad loved everything he had, especially the century egg congee. I love the shrimp hargow, basically like shrimp dumplings with a transparent dough. My favorite though was the shrimp steamed rice roll. The shrimp were big and plump, and the sauce they pour on it is really good. Like a soy sauce with a touch of sweetness. I also really enjoyed the fried rice and the hot tea. Everything I tried I can wholeheartedly recommend, but honestly I didn't try too many dishes. I would definitely come back again!! Just maybe at a less prime time because the wait was really crazy.

The food itself was good, no complaints there, but it took a long time for our dishes to come out. It seemed like the restaurant was understaffed for the holiday rush, and the wait times definitely showed it. I don't think this is their usual pace, and I'm willing to chalk a lot of it up to the Father's Day crowd. Still, for a big holiday, you'd expect the restaurant to be better prepared. I'd come back on a normal day, though, because the food really was solid.

There are some differences to how menu items are made/taste from when I first had it, so I feel as though the chef has most likely changed. It's both good and bad because the menu items with taro aren't quite as nice as before, but other things are either the same or better like the Beef Ho Fun for example. The chicken feet have changed too, but both were good. All the classic items are still basically the same. I liked the pan fried chives dumplings and beef cheung fun here. I can't speak for dinner or how it is on the weekdays, but it's quite busy over the weekends, which is expected for dim sum. It's a large space too, but once it's busy, you'll have to take a number and wait for a table. There's some seating along the side of the entrance to wait, but it may still take awhile. Usually, only one person really has to go and take a number, so if possible, one person should strive to get there earlier.

My favorites were the siu mai (pork + shrimp dumplings) and the egg tarts, which were buttery, flaky, and baked perfectly! Beyond dim sum, their full Cantonese menu looks amazing -- from crispy salt & pepper squid to beef chow fun and roasted meats. It's definitely a spot I'll return to for dinner or a big celebration. Service was good too - we were never sitting around too long waiting for anything.

It's an asian restaurant food that offers seating inside and outside. Once we entered we were seated immediately and handed menus. Their menus are super cool and unique and are a bit overwhelming but nevertheless full of so much variety. The waitress was very sweet and checked in on us periodically and helped us fill out our sheet to place our order. We ordered a plethora of stuff such as crispy bulgogi bao buns, brushed sprouts, steamed dumplings, mango chicken and a noodle plate. Food didn't take long for it to come out on their little robot and staff helped put everything on the table. Everything smelled and looked amazing so it was tough to decide what to taste first! I first tried the crispy bao bun and was blown away by the flavor it had! It was like a mini burger. After that I tried the steamed dumplings and they were so yummy and specially with the sauce. Next I tried the Brussels sprouts and they were necessary my cup of tea but still good! Just wouldn't order again. Second to last thing I tried the mango chicken and man was it good!!! It was busy inside, but our party of 10 was promptly seated, though we were a little squished into a circular table. I didn't remember this last time, but instead of telling a server what you want, you mark it down on a paper menu and hand it to the server. This time I got the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodles and the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Garlic Noodle. I was really excited to try both since they both sounded so good. Ultimately the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodle was a little underwhelming - the noodles themselves weren't very flavorful, and the BBQ pork was on the drier side. The pork did have decent flavor, and all the toppings/side items (wontons, fried egg, bok choy) were great, but all in all fell a little short of my hopes. The Salted Egg Yolk Garlic Noodles had better flavor, but I could've used even more garlic and butter. The shrimp definitely carried the salted egg yolk flavor, but the fried batter was a bit soggy/soft in my opinion. I wished it was crisper. Service was a tad slow, but perhaps they're understaffed and/or it was busy that night. I do love the menu concept of positioning it like a magazine catalog - it makes for a fun experience instead of just words on paper

Want to start off by saying that we had such great service here- our waitress answered all our questions and was very attentive. Ambiance is good as well. Lots of parking available. We got a couple of things: - Pan fried pork buns: The bun was nice & fluffy with a crispy bottom and juicy meat filling. The sauce it came with was great too- perfectly sweet & vinegary. - Dry beef mixed noodles: The beef was super tender, and the noodles were flavorful. This is meant to be a cold dish, but my mom was a bit hesitant about that and they were more than willing to serve it hot! (I definitely recommend having it cold though haha) - Szechuan Numbed Pepper Broth: Got this with fatty beef. I know some similar places let you put the fillings into the broth yourself, but ours came already assembled (which is what I personally prefer). We loved how mala this broth is, probs my favorite dish we got. Also loved the texture and lightness of the rice noodles. Lots of great fillings like quail egg, spam, wood ear mushroom, cabbage. - Korean Kimchi Broth: Got this with pork chop (though actually it was pork ribs). This is a great choice if you want a tomato-y broth that has a hint of spice and acidity. Another instance of the great service because the pork ribs were kind of hard to eat with our utensils and when we asked if they could possibly cut it up, they did not hesitate to do so. Also, the pork was (again) so tender! Would, no doubt, come back for another meal here. 10/10 would recommend!
