DO NOT USE FOR YOUR NEEDS!!! This company is hired to boot cars within seconds and they do it all day/night. Absolute predators. I saw a couple leave their car in a parking lot for maybe 10 seconds to see *where to better park* and a Capital employee (Roman Fuduli) ran and slapped a boot on their car. The couple was so close by, they saw Roman running and they too ran to say they would move their car, no problem. Roman shook his head and said too bad. It cost $100 to get out of that false imprisonment. The employee said "my boss calls me and then I run and put the boot on." People file complaints to the City of Austin, but nothing becomes of it. read more

Parked in a parking and stepped across the street for not even half an hour, came back to car and had a boot on the tire. The boot WAS NOT LOCKED so we moved it off thinking it was a prank and two men NOT IN UNIFORM approached us with cameras saying we damaged it and were gonna charge us $200. Joe Vasquez saved my life! My battery on my Volvo was dead, and I seriously needed some help. Joe showed up with his wrecker and quickly hooked up his jumper cables to my Volvo battery--but we couldn't get the car jumpstarted, even after he tried a number of tricks. Thinking fast, Joe said he would tow my car to a nearby AutoZone and have them replace my battery. At lighting speed, Joe hooked up my car to his wrecker. And I mean--he was fast. He was so fast I thought I was watching a pit stop over at the Formula One track. We made it to the AutoZone a few minutes later, and I got my battery replaced in no time. I made a yelp account just so I could write a review about these guys. Save yourself time and go with them. I needed to tow my car that was not starting so I called auto repair shops and found out the towing fees were close to $100 dollars. I called some towing companies because the repair shop was literally .4 miles away. It was not worth so much money. I called so many towing places and no one would work with me. Some places gave me estimates on fixing the starter without knowing the kind of car. I got on yelp and found these guys. When I talked to Joe he was so professional and didn't talk down to me like other companies. He got here with his crew in no time. He not only got me an amazing price but took it to a better repair shop. I was going to go to a closer one with a pretty bad rating on google but when I explained my situation he told me about atx auto repair. even though it was further away, he towes it for almost half the price of his competitors. prices for what we think is wrong are lower than the quotes I received when I was shopping around! Also a free diagnosis and when I called the closer shop that way going to be $75 just to test the starter. I wish I called them first! read more

Was driving through lakeway otw to Krause springs and had a blowout on some back road. These guys were great. Arrived at quoted time, friendly and knowledgeable and able to work through some issues our car presented with hooking up to the tow truck. These people pay someone to literally HIDE IN THE BUSHES at 2300 South Lamar and then when it looks like someone walks in a direction other than towards certain stores in the area the woman boots your car, then confronts you in the parking lot and demands $100 to remove the boot. She threatens that if you don't pay the $100 right now you will have to pay later. Its absolutely crazy. I have lived in Austin my entire life and never seen anything like this. The signage is very confusing and I saw several others get booted just in the short time I was there. read more

Car wouldn't start this morning. Joe was here in less than the 35 mins quoted. Boosting the battery wasn't working so ended up towing my car to Lambs. As it turns out, the battery in my key fob was weak and that was the issue. There was no owner's manual in my car of I probably would have been able to trouble shoot. i found myself in an unusual situation today, and needed to find a tow service to help me get my old car home. A quick search on Craigslist resulted in a few options all of whom I sent a message to telling where I needed to go with the car, asking for availability and cost. Joe came back with the first response and a reasonable quote, so I gave him a go. He showed up when he said he would, was VERY efficient and courteous, and earned a place in my phone list for who I'll go to first when I need a tow in the future.
