I came in for lunch recently by myself. It was just a quick lunch experience. They serve a variety of Asian cuisine. They have dim sum, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, Korean style. I tried the HK Style Chow Fun and a green iced tea. It was very good. A huge portion of food! The tea was not too sweet. If you want it sweet, they bring a bottle of simple syrup to the table. The staff if very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I would come here again for lunch and maybe try one of their lunch specials.

Came on a Saturday afternoon, and left with a full stomach, and a happy face! I went with one of my best friends after an event on a 90+ degree day and hadn't eaten anything. Dim sum + Asian food always sound great, so we Yelped to find Capital Noodle Bar just a few minutes away - just our luck! They are located in the "Village at La Floresta" plaza in the corner. We arrived and were seated right away. We got settled at our cozy table. I love the open airy concept with their big window glass and industrial/wooden furniture pieces. They even have an outdoor patio seating area with shades to block the sun if you want to sit outside. Our hostess/server gave us time to take our order, and brought us our food in a jiffy. She was so friendly and helpful. She made sure we were able to get our dishes not so heavily spiced, as my friend is sensitive to spicy food, and that I had my spicy sauce on the side so we were both happy. Our shareables were the HK Style Chow Fun with Chicken, Capital's Filet Mignon Cubes, Spicy Garlic Chicken Wings, and the Fried Garlic Calamari. My favorite was the Chicken Wings, they had a great "cronch" to them and were seasoned very well. If you like garlic, you'll like these chicken wings! The HK Style Chow Fun was great as well and bonus points for the mushrooms because my friend and I are both mushroom lovers. Needless to say, I had a wonderful time here and will definitely keep Capital Noodle Bar in mind the next time I'm in the Brea area. Thank you for feeding us a great meal and for the wonderful experience.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time and it never disappoints. The food always tastes amazing. Service is great, ambiance is also nice. Good value and usually there isn't a wait time. I think the restaurant was pretty clean especially the restrooms. This is the place to go if you need an authentic, delicious, Chinese meal.

I read the reviews and I ordered the Haina brown chicken and the girl didn't know what I was talking about. They don't have it only what on the menu. Needless to say I ordered the fried one because I wanted the dark meat. The shredded meat was white meat. The reviews said it was dry. The fried one is dry too. It's bit Hainan chicken to me. Also I asked for extra sauce that cost 2.00 more and when we got home the sauce came out of the container... The filet mignon was okay not as good as other places. The HK style crispy noodle was okay too the fried shrimp roll would have been better if it came with some sweet chili sauce to dip. For the area the food was decent but definitely may not comeback any time soon. Update: In response to the owner to me. I read a review to ask for the brown chicken Hainan. So I did thewhat the owner suggested I do it I wanted Hainan chicken with bones and she came back and told me they only offer the shredded white chicken or fried Hainan chicken which is thigh. I took her advice but the fried chicken was not good. I saw x2 for sauce so my bad maybe she didn't charge me but the lid came off and spilled all over. Eating in maybe ideal but we were inky able to do take out.

Solid place for Chinese food in Brea! Nice interior and ambiance inside for lunch! Wasn't too packed when we arrived and service was pretty fast. They also sell prepackaged frozen dumplings to take home and make yourself. Food was pretty tasty and portions were decent. Parking is abundant and the surrounding plaza has a good amount of stuff to do before or after eating

The food was pretty good. They only had pork dumplings and my kids prefer chicken so they didn't love the ones they tried. They had plain noodle soup and ate some chicken potstickers. We were seated right away and the ambiance is nice. Tables are long rectangles so not as convenient for family style as round tables but I get that they save space. We passed food back and forth when serving ourselves so everyone could get what they needed (we had a party of 8). I was fine with the chow fun and other noodles. The juicy pork dumplings were decent but I don't know if I would get them again. They are like XLB and there wasn't as much flavor as other places I've tried. I think the chicken potstickers were okay as well. The noodle wrapper was quite thick and they were pan fried but already soft when they came out as if they had sat there instead of being crispy. Overall, service was fine and the food was fine. If we had to choose noodles, for dinner we may come back.

You just lost a customer. $5.50 for an iced tea. Really? A whole gallon at Chic Fil A is less than $8. A gallon!!!!! We had the HK style crispy noodles and the sauce was soooo bland. My husband had a black pepper udon dish and it was under seasoned. We had the same dish every time we come and it's either so dark/salty or bland like today. No consistency. You need to improve big time and consider adjusting the prices to be competitive.

I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across a good Chinese restaurant near one of my OC offices. Capital Noodle Bar is a descendant of Kim Tar Restaurant, and it definitely reminded me of Chinese food I had growing up in Southern California. I really like their Hong Kong style chow mein with beef. Their noodles are really crispy and the flavour of the dish was spot on. I also had their yeung chow fried rice, which was also really good. For drinks, I had their milk tea, which unfortunately does not have boba. The prices are also reasonable. The interior of the restaurant pays homage to the Kim Tar restaurant in Chinatown. The staff here is also really nice. I am surprised the locations are focused on Orange County. I really like Capital Noodle Bar for Chinese food compared to Chinese restaurants in Rowland Heights.

Overall a good experience. The noodles were really good and the lo mein was flavorful. String beans are a must order! Dim sum options were okay. The service was a bit slow, drinks left empty before asking for refills. Everyone was really nice though :) Really clean and spacious inside. Didn't have to wait for a table when we arrived for dinner.

Huge disappointment from the dinner take out last night (7/18/25). We were frequent customers (1-2 per week) because they have great variety of noodles and we love almost all of them. However, last night's meal was completely off; both the taste and quality of the food. We ordered the HK style crispy noodles, HK style chow fun and Pad Thai. None of them met our expectations compared to the other times we had ordered; especially the Pad Thai. They all sticked together when we opened the box and since we had ordered the dish multiple times before, we know it was not supposed to be like that. Then the taste was off; it tasted like they didn't use bad oil and had that weird taste. I hope this was just an exception or maybe they got a new chef? Will give another try but just wanted to share this with the restaurant.

Dumpling options togo

Without any other Asian noodle spots nearby, this bar serves pretty good dishes and a slightly higher price. Nothing was greasy and the taste is more contemporary -rather traditional. Additionally, the place is a nice sit down to hangout indoors and outside. The service was fast and on point as to when to follow up. Because I have visited other noodle restaurants, I cannot say this place is worth visiting again, unless I have family and/ or friends craving noodles in town.

Came around 1:30 pm on a Monday and got seated right away. Servers were attentive. Very clean restrooms and the seating was small tables and big tables so you can have small or big parties. The first time I came here a while ago I thought it was so good that we came back today and the quality seemed to have gone down a bit. Lacking in flavor in some things. I did like the chicken wings and fried rice we got. Everything else was ehh.

The food was excellent! This is the closest authentic Asian food near me. The ambiance was clean. The service was good. We will for sure be back for more dishes to try.

Of course, all that shopping worked up an appetite, and because I wanted to stay on budget, I stopped by Super Juicy Dumplings for lunch. What a great find! Their lunch special is an incredible value at $12.99. I enjoyed Kung Pao Chicken which comes with soup, and in addition to water, they also serve complimentary green tea, which was a nice touch. What impressed me most was how clean the restaurant is. The staff are constantly cleaning and maintaining the dining area. As someone who gets annoyed when I sit down and notice crumbs under a table, I really appreciated the attention to cleanliness. The restaurant felt fresh, tidy, and well cared for. The employees were friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall experience was excellent. Great food, great customer service, excellent cleanliness, and very reasonable prices--it's the complete package. At first I thought it was a Vietnamese restaurant, but it turned out to be more of an Asian fusion place with a little bit of everything. It was super busy, so we had to wait a bit for a table. We were group of 5 and ordered: *Spicy Shrimp Wontons $16 *Shu Mai $15 *Shrimp Garlic Noodles $24.5 *Spicy Pork Belly Soup $14 *Ponzu Salmon Roll $15 *Hot Honey Fried Chicken Baos $32 The sushi roll was just okay, and the pork belly soup leaned salty with a broth that tasted almost like a Tom Yum base plus the pork flavor was a little strong. But the wontons, shu mai, garlic noodles, and fried chicken baos were all really tasty. Overall the food was pretty solid and service was great, too. One of the draws of eating here are the colorful lit lanterns in the evening. However, we ended dining here in the late afternoon while it was still light out. The inside of the restaurant was pretty much empty and it was a nice day, so we dined out on the patio. Even in the daytime, the colorful lanterns are cool to look at and there is a park area right next to the restaurant. The patio is wide open and completely in the shade. This was a late lunch/early dinner for us, so we just ordered a few different items off the menu to share. Their small sushi menu only has four different rolls and they were out of two of them, so we just had a California roll which was fine. The only sushi protein available is shrimp or krab so I definitely wouldn't recommend them for sushi. We also had an order of the chicken egg rolls. They had a good crisp on them, and the serving size was generous and very filling. The sweet chili dipping sauce had a good mix of sweetness with a little heat. They tasted fine, but it seemed like they were pre-made and lacked a little freshness. Finally, we tried an order of the spicy shrimp wontons off the dim sum menu. It comes with ten wontons, and the shrimp were good but the wontons were a little mushy. They had a nice heat that slowly creeps up on you after a few seconds. Service started out ok as we were able to place our order within ten minutes, but it then got progressively slower. I think there were only two other occupied tables and our three items took almost 25 minutes to come out. After the food arrived, we didn't see a server again for quite a while. Final rating 3.6 stars. These are the times I wish Yelp let you use half points because this experience was right in between 3 and 4 stars. I guess I'll round up to four stars for the relaxing patio and ambiance which is probably even better after dark.
