The service in this family run restaurant is outstanding. We sat on a large round table with rotating center platform. The menu is extensive. There are are many dishes new to me and perhaps offers an opportunity to try in the future. Today our favorite dish was the Mapo Tofu. The chow mien noodles were a little soft (I like a little spring in the texture) but flavorful. However the chow fun (flat noodles) were a little hard, too chewy. I can't even tell you a good part. The wrap/pancake was awful and cold. The meat wasn't good. The sauce ruined it. The wonton in chili oil 2-3/5. The wonton was okay. The vegetables were good. I was next door grabbing a drink when I came across this place. I noticed they had a small menu up on the window, I was interested in the wontons but they also had a variety of other dumplings. The restaurant is small but it wasn't crowded. They have plenty of tables. I walked in and was acknowledged right away. I ordered the wontons in red sauce. They were so tender and juicy. The flavor was amazing and they come with small cabbage. It was the perfect combo. I will definitely try more items on the menu. read more

I doubted the authenticity of this restaurant without trying it for myself, and I feel ashamed that I did not completely believe the other reviews. I became a believer after just one bite into the shumai and dumpling. The filling was not too salty, but it's fragrant and full of flavor. Each item was carefully crafted. The owner apologized for taking the time to steam the shumai properly, and I reassured him that I didn't mind waiting for good food. Fine culinary art is not to be rushed. I assumed the couple working there are the husband-and-wife team, but I couldn't confirm that. They did playfully tease each other like a married pair. Regardless, they were both friendly and welcoming. The interior was elegantly decorated without the typical clutter that accompanied an authentic Chinese restaurant. There aren't many places that serve the Sichuan hot chili oil fish, & Qin makes it so well! It's perfectly mildly spicy & very savory & flavorful without feeling too greasy/oily. Same for their mapo tofu & we loved their sauteed garlic bok choy as well. Everything is sold a la carte (the entrees don't come with rice, so you have to order that separately $1.50 for a small bowl of white rice), & there is no meat in the mapo tofu but I think you can add beef or pork for like $3. It's not cheap but the food is delicious & not too greasy. I would definitely return or get takeout! read more

To my surprise, a Chinese restaurant right by In n Out on Imperial Hwy and La Palma. It's a cozy hole in the wall place. The owners were nice. Looks like wife, husband, and possible daughter or worker there. We ordered steamed croaker fish, sweet n sour ribs, veggies, bbq pork steam bun, beef roll, steamed dumplings, chicken, and some other items for take-out. The fish was ok, sweet n sour ribs were a little tough, veggies were good, bbq pork steam bun was not bad, steamed dumplings with sauce was ok, cold chicken w/ sauce. So overall, it was ok. It's a go-to place if we crave Chinese food because there's not a lot of them in this area. See you guys there. read more

Delicious food that is seemingly very authentic. The flavors are rich and everything is cooked to order which takes a little time but is well worth the wait. There are 6 to 7 tables in the main room with a larger room for bigger parties has three tables with the Lazy Susan in the middle for family style sharing. They use gold medal chopsticks, which are a treat. Their tea is served in a pot and is delicious. Very clean and pleasing decor. One of our favorite places for Chinese food. read more

High quality Chinese food in a most unexpected place, a small corner shopping mall. It's a simple place, no fancy decor, you come here for the food. The crab sauce noodle is excellent, you don't find that in too many Chinese restaurants. So I'd say this is a must try if you come here. They have an assortment of Dim Sum but I would say they are pretty run-of-the-mill ordinary. The menu is excellent. Lots of pictures so you can see how the dishes look like before you order them. Service is hit and miss. But if you go to Chinese restaurants often, you know service is often not where they put the emphasis. Beautiful ambiance. Decent lunch crowd. Cool private space off the main dining room. My daughter and I stopped in for a quick lunch. Service was quick. Loved the place setting aesthetic. Waitress/cashier was efficient, and our entrees (beef broccoli and kung pao beef) were served quick and piping hot. The beef broccoli was more flavorful; the sauce on the kung pao beef was flavorless and even soy sauce couldn't help. The red chili sauce helped a lot though. Thankfully! My daughter says her steamed rice was hot (somehow I doubt it) and my fried rice was lukewarm/cold. Wish the fried rice was hot. Both steamed rice and fried rice tasted fine. read more

My friends and I ate at the restaurant today for their lunch specials. After ranting and raving about how great the food was, we brought a couple of new friends to eat for the first time there. The regulars in our group know how great the food is. Anyway, the food was generally very tasty and good but several dishes were different than what we had before. Our egg flower soup and hot & sour soup was served lukewarm at best. Three in our group asked for the soup to be heated up which they did cheerfully. The egg rolls were good and temperature hot. Same for the white rice and fried rice. However, my favorite fried tofu just did not taste the same. It was okay but the previous time I had it, the tofu was the best I could remember. Then the chicken and broccoli dish that has been one of our guy's favorite dish came after we finished the whole meal. We tried to cancel since we were done but they cooked it already so great to have anyway, we thought. The chicken was totally dry, tough and tasteless. We told the establishment this. Instead of trying it and seeing if we were right, the waitress without trying the dish said it was because we were full from the other dishes. That is so totally not the reason! We had that dish many times and one at our table said she could cook that dish better than what we were served today. So another one in the group said I should update my previous yelp review. One in our group took home that chicken and broccoli food to mix with Ramen and add some flavor. We found out through a relative of one in our group that the regular cook is off on Tuesdays. We will still go there to eat but from now on, we will not go when their regular cook is not doing the cooking. read more

This place is a smaller but fancy-feeling restaurant. It is very elegant but comforting, so you don't feel out of place. I got the xiao long bao which was absolutely delicious and flavorful, full of hot soup!! I tried the tomato egg drop which was a little bland but still very tasty! I've never had it before. I want to try their hot n sour next. My friend got the crab noodles and after trying hers, i immediately regretted not ordering it. The noodles are a generous portion and the crab broth is thick with plenty of crab in it. It was steaming hot! They also make a few other things with that and i must try them!! Service was fast and friendly and took our orders right away and kept the water refilled. Can't wait to come back - those short ribs! The garlic pork! Wow, finally a great Chinese restaurant in the Yorba Linda , Anaheim.Hills area! The food is exceptional! The portions are generous, the flavors oitstandingl and the quality is excellent!. The prices are fair in todays climate. I found the menu attractive with great photos. They offer a great variety of dishes that include ones that are not typical of most Chinese restaurants that have adapted to American tastes. I'm thinking of our lamb dish. The eggplant was some of the best we've had with a slightly sweet taste in the sauce. Our pleasure at dining here lingered on after we left, and we were still savoring our satisfying meal.
