Our dryer was no longer heating when it ran. We called American Home Shield and the first company they sent us to (can't remember who now) didn't bother to get back with us within the allotted two days. We called AHS back and they re-assigned it to Capitol Mechanical Appliance who called us a couple of hours later and came out two days later as our schedules allowed. Chris called the morning of the scheduled visit and was actually at the house within 30 min. (unlike some repair folks, especially the big corporate franchises). He was pretty sure the problem was in one of two places before he even started and once he got to the first suspect part, he was absolutely correct. He ordered the part that day, had to wait for it, then came back out, fixed the dryer, got everything put back and cleaned up. Dryer has been working fantastic ever since. We kept his card since he is quitting AHS (apparently AHS has reduced their supplier payment from actual repair time/cost to a fixed cost well below market value). We'll miss having CMA in the "AHS stable", but when we're in a bind, we'd call him in a heartbeat at full market value if AHS sends us another dud. read more

What a blessing to find Chris, I will never call anyone else. I called Chris to come and diagnose my Washer and dryer problem, I had already been all over the internet and you tube to try and fix it myself. After many days and two wrong do it yourself attempts, I decided that my only choice was to go buy another washer and dryer or try a repair man. ( the washer and dryer was less than 5 years old) I could not get a good referral from anyone I knew so I went to Yelp. Capitol Mechanical Appliance showed up, and he had great reviews. I called, Chris answered and made an appointment very quickly. Chris came over and diagnosed the problem quickly. My refrigerator went out at the end of June and I called Capital Appliance and made an appointment. Unfortunately we had to reschedule a couple of times because of air conditioning emergencies. Each time Chris called and asked if we could postpone. Since we were experiencing near 100 degree weather and my fridge was still keeping food slightly chilled I agreed to the reschedules. First to Review It's a shame 0 stars isn't an option. Do not trust this thief - certainly do not pay him anything in advance. We were left with a broken refrigerator for 3 weeks while he "ordered" a part. After several un-returned calls, we gave up on him and bought a new refrigerator. When asked for a refund, he replied the part was already on order and we would not be refunded for the payment we had already made. I had a brand new LG washer in storage and rats got into it. They ate through hoses and pump! I couldn't believe it! I thought I would have to buy a new washer. Brandon came into my home twice. one to diagnose which was extremely fastvery nice and professional. The second time he came to repair the broken dryer with a part which he explained was a thermo fuse which would make the dryer heat again. I was very satisfied with his work and professionalism.
