I ordered the falafel salad online, as that's one of my favorite Mediterranean dishes usually. It was ready quickly, but that's the best I can say. I was so disappointed with the falafel - it was dry, and had NO flavor. It was so tasteless I didn't even eat it, just the salad, which was only ok. When you're in Belmont, you HAVE to check this place out. I got a fantastic chicken bowl and it came with deliciously seasoned chicken, pickled veggies, kale/white rice, and red pepper dip with pita. Everything was well flavored and this plate itself was so vibrant and colorful. I enjoyed eating this after a long run/hike. It was a perfect mixture of colors and textures. Wow this place is a GEM! I've been looking for a good Mediterranean place in the Bay Area. So far, I'd have to say that it's this place for me. My friend and I ordered the spitfire beef and lamb rice, calamari rice plate, falafel, and the cauliflower. Everything was great! My favorites were surprisingly the calamari and the cauliflower. We're interested in learning what seasoning they used in the cauliflower because it was THAT good. Each came with sauces that paired well with food, which we inhaled with such speed. Came here on my lunch to give this a try. I was pleasantly surprised how goid the food tasted. My chicken was really well seasoned and tender. You know how sometimes you get chicken that's been sitting around for awhile and becomes tough or chewy? Well not here. Came here because Sumac Mediterranean Grill down the road got kicked out by their landlord and Capo is a huge step down in quality. But they charge the same prices. Start with the good: the falafel was good, and the quality of meat was fine. But everything besides the meat in their wrap was lackluster, including the bread. Their "rice plates" come with an insultingly small single scoop of rice and their koftedes are straight up cafeteria-quality, disgusting. Babaganoush was sub-par but passable. The guy warned me that their hot sauce was really spicy, this was a lie. In fact all 3 of their sauces seem to be basically ranch dressing with different amounts of red added. Tasteless white people will love this place and it will stay in business forever. RIP authentic Mediterranean food, corporate crap wins again. read more

It is by far one of the best restaurants I've been in the Bay Area so far. Everything that I ordered was so delicious. They have a great atmosphere and outstanding service. The owner is very gentle and polite. I really enjoyed these delicious foods outside under their umbrellas. I like Mediterranean Food because it is touted as a healthy way to eat. And, each plate has an exciting display of natural colors due to the focus on plant-based foods. Beet Labni is a good example of this, it is so delicious and pretty. I had Beet Labni with pita, that's so wonderful. I ordered Spitfire Beef and lamb salad and Spitfire Chicken salad. Both are fantastic, and they have huge portions. I also ordered Spitfire Beef and Lamb pita, it was perfect as well. I love desserts ... their Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta is perfect, everybody should try it! Okay, I've gone and tried more pita selections and I can say that they are all delicious! The beef and lamb pita is great with generous slices of meat. It really pairs well with the pickled onions and beets. The beet labni is creamy and also does wonders in the balance of the flavors. Yum. The chicken pita is a winner as well. The chicken is tender and paired with spicy feta, though overall I didn't find the food to be spicy. As usual the pita bread it is served on is delicious and gently crunchy while fluffy. The lemon fries are awesome!! The sauce is very good with a tiny kick to it (spice) which I loved. The fries were good and tasted like in n out fries (which I'm a fan of). It's a bit of a softer fry. The Capo Pita Box is a pretty sweet deal. Choose a pita, a side, and drink for $15. They have some neat Greek sodas too. I tried the sour cherry and lemon, since they were out of orange. A gem for the locals. Recently opened, clean and friendly staff. I am mostly impressed by their freshness in their ingredients. 1. The size of the pita burger wrap with fries filled me up that I didn't even want dinner. The seasonings were a tad light and could use a bit more. ($12) 2. The assorted Mediterranean tray (I asked for a bit of everything , extra $3). I especially enjoyed the beef and lamb meat. The falafel had a nice crisp and taste but could use more seasonings. This place was great before a car ran thru their front door. Portions got smaller and the quality went down. We stopped by tonite to pickup a greek salad and the bowl was practically empty. We came here after a morning workout and absolutely loved it. No wait and really nice service - they seemed like the owners. The serving size is pretty big so the two of us shared one plate and a side, which was still pretty filling. The falafels were nice and crispy on the outside and came out warm. The lamb was a little bit lukewarm and slightly dry but still very flavorful. We got three sauces; my favorite was the beet one, super creamy and went really well with the falafels. The pita bread was probably the best - nice and fluffy, really flavorful. (One thing is that bathroom sink area could have been cleaned better but hopefully not a common issue) So far my favorite fast Mediterranean spot in the Bay! Highly recommend! read more

Randomly tried this place which made our mid-afternoon Father's Day lunch really wonderful. It was not busy so it was great to be in a clean, well-lighted and breezy place. The young counter lady was very pleasant, friendly and gave us a very good customer service. 5 starts for the calamari po-boy pita ($12)! The calamari pieces are crispy and tender (not chewy at all) and on a soft fluffy pita with pickled vegetables. I also got the lemon fries ($5) that are thin cut, bright and lemony and comes with a tarter/aioli sauce. Ask for a side of hot sauce (creamy) that surprisingly gives a nice kick to the pita. Inside has 2 tables for 4, and counter tables facing the window for 8 (2 sets of 4). There is a small patio but overall seating is pretty limited. This is a great lunch place and I'm excited to try the other types of protein offerings but I keep gravitating back to the calamari! read more

Everything that I've tried here is good. The spitfire chicken is my favorite. Flavorful and juicy. Generous portion. I barely finish it. The pickled turnip and cucumbers add a layer of flavor and work perfectly with the always crisp greens and juicy chicken. The dressings are all very fresh but I recommend the pomegranate vinaigrette. Now, for the panacotta. Unless you are lactose intolerant, you should be eating the oanacotta. One of the absolute best I've tasted. Both the lemon olive oil and raspberry are delicious. Really cute area if you'd like to eat outside. The service is warm and efficient. A real neighborhood gem. read more

Ordered food for pick up last night. It was ready in 15 minutes. We got two beef and lamb pitas, the falafel bites, lemon fries, and beet labni. The falafel bites were alright. I really liked the sauce they came with. It was kinda like in-n-out sauce but with more spices. I thought the falafel were a little too dry, as many falafel tend to be. The gyros were good just like last time. I would love even more pickled vegetables in these, or on the side. I wish I had some tzaziki to dip it into, but I forgot to order it. The lemon fries were very good and had a nice zing. The beet labni was nice and creamy and came with a bunch of pita triangles. Glad I remembered to take pictures this time. Our first time back since reopening and we enjoyed great food under a giant umbrella on a beautiful, sunny day, gazing up at the Belmont Hills. Especially noteworthy was the diversity of the fresh and pickled vegetables in the salad, both the side salad with chicken kebab and a generous sized main dish falafel salad. The pita was fresh and warm. The chicken kebab plate is served with a small bit of hummus, and a small bit of tzatziki which was especially nice. Service is friendly. I used to frequently patronize this restaurant prior to a car driving through the glass front doors. My favorite order used to be spitfire chicken salad. I bought a spitfire chicken salad today (04-14-23) after they re-opened a few weeks ago. The salad was awful. The quality of the chicken is not the same. You can get any of their items in a pita, a salad bowl, or rice plate--my pick was the falafel salad bowl, which came with a ramekin of hummus; pickled radishes, cucumbers, and onions; 6 falafel balls; a slice of deep-fried eggplant; a sliced hardboiled egg (this was kind of like a mix between falafel and sabich!), all served over mixed greens including romaine lettuce, frisee, and chicory. The falafel balls were extremely dense with a deep, herbal flavor--not oily or particularly crispy. I also tried the spitfire beef & lamb salad--the gyro slices were freshly carved from the rotating spit, and the salad also came with a beet labni! What an interesting dip--the beets gave the yogurt a bright pink color and a slightly sweet flavor that mellowed out the tartness of the yogurt. When I told my husband I wanted to try a Mediterranean restaurant, he was less than pleased. When I enthusiastically mentioned Lemon Fries, he was grossed out. Everything changed the moment he took a bite of the food. A few of my husband's quotes during the meal: "This place is legit!", "Whoaaaa..these lemon fries are like crack!" "Their food is really fresh!" I have to agree. The meat was tender, the sauces tasty and perfectly seasoned. We ordered: Beef and Lamb Spitfire Pita, Beef and Lamb Spitfire Salad and Lemon Fries. All were amazing!! I seriously could eat this every day of my life and be one happy woman ;-). According to the person who answered the phone (call in for pickup) the Lemon fries, and Spitfire beef/lamb salad are Gluten Free. I am not sure about the other items.
