Bought take-out food here. The service was mediocre, nothing too surprising. The subtotal was around $40+ for two rice bowls. There was no one at all in the restaurant, it was nothing but dead and silent. Now onto the food, I'm usually not a picky eater, but the food here sucks. You barely get any rice, the salad is a joke, and the meat... The meat was very dry and had no flavor... at all. It even seemed like the mean was at least a few days old. This place has gone downhill since when it very first opened, and it's pretty apparent why. The pita bread itself was hard as a rock -- and the two sauces that came with it didn't even taste like anything. Kind of sad at the portions. We didn't get our money's worth going here. The food tasted good, just didn't get very much of it. We are sides people, ordered a side of hummus ($8), baba ganoush ($8) and Spanakorizo ($5). The dips were only half full and pushed down in the middle by a spoon, so possibly it was less than half the tub? Today for the first time, I just went to Falafelle because I was so bummed from our Capo experience. At Falafelle they filled up the tubs for less of a cost at $4.50 & $5.50! We plan to try out Capo's wraps as a last attempt, will update after that. We are on a budget, still trying to support local businesses when we can. Just looking for an honest handshake. read more

We're newly moved to the area and had the pleasure of exploring nearby gems. The restaurant is super clean and well kept with an adorable small patio area on the side. We ordered the falafel plate which had more than enough to share for both of us. If you get a chance to try this, we highly recommend it. The hummus and pickled onion/radish are a real treat. I wish I could give more than five stars, because that is how much I (and my family) love Capo. We literally order from here every week and it is such a favorite. Our staples are the beef/lamb and chicken plates, beet labni (so good!!!), and the lemon fries. The food is always fresh, so delicious, and relatively healthy with that mediterranean diet. This is still a nice neighborhood place, but there have been some quality issues in the kitchen: felafel is inedibly salty, koftedes overcooked are over cooked and drowned in an overly sweet sauce, chicken tasteless. This is our weekly go to place. The kids love the chicken nuggets and we love their shawarma and kababs. Total value for money. We always do take outs and the service has been top class. They really pride themselves in what they serve, as an example one time the baklava tasted stale and they gave us a complimentary Panna Cotta which was yum! Capo is a small quirky Mediterranean place in a mini-mall across for the Carlmont Shopping Center in Belmont. Service was friendly and the food was, well, fine. It's not quite classical Mediterranean. Nothing great, nothing bad, just kinda okay. This place is within a reasonable walk from my house, so it's somewhat likely we'll get there once in a while, but it's not a destination I'm going to be telling people about. read more

Capo is a favorite place of mine. They are consistent with the quality and flavor, and the staff is always so friendly. My latest addiction has been the capo burger. Excellent place to buy a gyro for lunch. I took the advice of another reviewer and also ordered The calamari and the cauliflower. Everything came out super quick like in 10 minutes and the calamari was so hot and chewy. The cauliflower comes in some kind of spice with two sauces one of which is dill-based. The chicken gyro came with something pickled in a bright fuchsia color and there were French fries in the gyro. Seating outside was adequate and we could hear the bells playing in the church down the street. I also ordered the baklava but am so full from lunch that I haven't tried it yet. read more

We were very happy to hear they opened despite the pandemic! We are big supporters of Vivace so when they told us they're opening Capo, we were very excited. Decided to place an online order on Sat. Sept. 16th, which was their grand opening. We ordered Spitfire Beef & Lamb Salad, Spitfire Beef & Lamb Pita, Lemon Fries, Tzatziki spread, and Harissa Cauliflower. The service was great when we arrived to pick up our food. It was a bit delayed, but understood that it was their first night. When we brought it home (5 min), the food was cold. Again, we understood that it was their first night. Now on to the food. Although the protein in the salad and the pita were delicious, the beet coloring in the pita was interesting. It's a pretty pink but my daughter could not look past it. She wished we could of asked for no beet sauce. Maybe I missed the options section when ordering or I guess I should have put it in the notes. Nevertheless she ate it all! As for the Harissa Cauliflower, I highly recommend it. Lots of flavor and makes for a great side dish with your main plate. The Tzatziki was really good too! They even provided pita bread which was nice to dip into the spread. My wife had the spitfire chicken wrap and liked it, until she had a bite of mine and wanted that. Chicken was good, mine was great and has a very nice sauce on it.
