    Tiramisu

Best Italian food I've had since a small bistro in South Philly. Home made dishes that clearly have an excellent balance of ingredients and spices. Very flavorful and simply delicious! The ice tea was fresh brewed and the customer service was fabulous! At the end of our meal, we splurged and ordered the Tiramisu. It was outstanding. Light and refreshing with a hint of coffee--not an over-powering flavor of any single component. Again, a perfect balance of ingredients. These folks know what they are doing! We will be back!

Tried Capparelli Bros the other night. First off Orlando's customer service was great. He even brought some of our bags to the car. I had the pizza and the flavor of the sauce was very good. My wife had the Salmon salad and she said it was excellent as well. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

Everything we ordered was delicious and very friendly server. We plan to go back and try more.

Love ordering ahead for the pizza! You can even buy a 1.5 liter bottle of wine to pair with it!

Pizza has good taste, but they don't proportion the toppings and cheese adequately on the entire pizza... needs improvement for price.

We could not help but notice the gorgeous bar to the right as soon as we walked in as well as the beautiful woodwork. We were greeted immediately, and upon sitting, our drink order was taken. Hot rolls and REAL butter were brought to the table almost as soon as we sat down followed by both entrees after about a fifteen minute wait. The entrees were steaming hot and fresh and after our first taste, declared delicious. The waitstaff was attentive and efficient. We ended the meal by sharing a piece of tiramisu, which was excellent as well. Our server was far less than charming and worse, was incompetent. I truly wondered if she were somehow impaired. She didn't respond when we ordered and seemed put-out when we asked if she understood. Turned out the wine my wife ordered was no longer available (so why was it still on your menu?). My wife made an alternate order, but instead of getting a glass of what she ordered, the village idiot came back with a bottle totally unrelated to what my ordered and offered that. My wife politely refused, I got my beer and my wife got nothing. OK, maybe they needed to open a bottle and it would be out soon. But no. The so called server didn't reappear until our food was ready. At that point, my wife asked about her wine again. The waitress, Andrea, then said, "I thought you said no to wine". Well, my wife did finally get her wine after the fight. Now for the food. In the past, it has always been excellent. But today's offering was sub-standard. We both ordered the chicken Parmesan from the lunch menu. The menu said the chicken was hand breaded. It was not and the marinara was basically tomato sauce with with bits of tomato in it. By far the worst food we've ever been served there. Il Posto, today you failed miserably. And I would remind you that you have two restaurants on either side of you with excellent chefs. You may want to keep that in mind before serving us Stouffers to dine on.

I rarely leave restaurant reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to share it. First, my waiter was great. He was attentive, professional, and had nothing to do with the issue. I ordered the Braised Short Rib Lumache and was genuinely excited based on the description and presentation shown online. What arrived was a beautiful plate of pasta, but there was one major problem: there was barely any short rib. The dish was overwhelmingly pasta with very little of the featured ingredient that justified the price. The photos and marketing for this dish create the expectation of a hearty braised short rib pasta. What I received looked nothing like what was advertised. It felt misleading and left me wondering where the short rib actually was. The pasta itself was fine, but when you order a braised short rib dish, you expect to get braised short rib--not just pasta with a trace of it. North Italia has a great atmosphere and excellent service, but this dish was a major letdown. Hopefully management takes a closer look at consistency because the gap between expectation and reality was hard to ignore.
