In a nutshell; went for a holiday discount promo, was 100% worth it. Went relatively early knowing there was going to be a ridiculous line and glad to have stuck that decision as there it was. Got seated relatively quickly. Server was attentive and explained our promo and options very well. Food didn't take too long despite how busy it was. The food was great. The sauce and all its tidbits was good. Overall a very good experience if youre looking to treat yourself to a seafood boil.

We walked in late Saturday night around 9:40pm and were seated immediately. The restaurant was pretty full but service was very quick. I always get a seafood boil bag minus seafood because I love all the flavors! I still get a good bag with corn, sausage, egg and potatoes! The hush puppies are always also delicious. Seating is very spacious inside as well. We like the spicier side so we get Cajun hot.

The food was buss. The interior/ ambiance immaculate. Service like the military. Ran a tight operation. Chefs kiss

Tried it for the first time; Tried fish catfish basket and hush puppies. In all honesty, I could taste the same Cajun Spices I buy from Walmart. Not impressed. Will have to try everything else that looks awesome on the Menu. But of course, it all depends on the taste of my palate.

I came in for a pickup order, and I do want to start by saying the staff was really nice and welcoming. Even though the food wasn't quite ready when I arrived, they were friendly and polite, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food itself didn't fully deliver. When we got home and opened everything up, we noticed some of the shrimp were starting to turn black, which was concerning. On top of that, a lot of the shrimp was overcooked, and the shells were sticking to the meat, making it pretty frustrating to eat. The oysters were okay, but didn't taste as fresh as I was expecting, especially for a seafood spot. That said, the seasoning and overall flavors had potential, and the service experience was positive. I just wish the quality and execution of the seafood matched it. Hoping this was just an off day, because there's definitely potential here.

10/10. I came here alone the day before Mother's Day and got their boil special that apparently was for 3-4 people to split... it was ginormous but it was beyond fantastic. the service was also amazing despite it being super busy at 530p. I cannot wait to go back!!

This was a 10/10 seafood boil place and experience super friendly staff and the food was amazing if you are ever around one you need to stop in

I come here quite often and I do really love it. It always hits the spot, I feel like it's a good price as well normally I share the family special with my bestie and it's only $30 something each splitting the bill. I always get the snow crab, green mussels, and shrimp. I also love the clams, I get captains special for the seasoning and its bomb. I always get extra dip on the side too, and the food comes out really fast which I appreciate!!

We placed a to-go order at Captain Crab and tried the Dungeness crab in Cajun sauce (extra hot), half pound shrimp in Cajun sauce, onion rings, and crispy Cajun fries. The seafood was fresh and flavorful, but we were disappointed that the shrimp and crab were packed together in the same plastic bag, even though they were meant for two different people. It made the meal messy and less enjoyable. I wish the person taking the order had double checked instead of assuming everything should go in one bag. On top of that, the Cajun sauce was very heavy-handed with butter and oil, which overpowered the seasoning. The sides were solid--both the onion rings and Cajun fries were crispy and satisfying. Still, the packaging and the excess oil left us a little underwhelmed, especially given the price point. That said, the ambience is fun and lively based on our past dine-in experience. Captain Crab has potential, but more attention to detail with takeout preparation and balance in the seasoning would make a big difference.

We went on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. From the appetizers to the entrées and dessert, every dish was absolutely delicious. We especially loved the bruschetta and the Kobe beef carpaccio. The deviled eggs were also a great starter. For our entrées, the ribeye was cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful, and the Wagyu burger was just as tasty. We wrapped up the meal with the bread pudding and crème brûlée, and both desserts were the perfect sweet ending to an amazing dinner.

The bruschetta was perfectly crisp and the four different flavors made it a really dynamic appetizer. I was partial to the onion jam beautifully roasted and sweet with the right amount of salt. My wife loved how fresh the herbs were on the pesto topping. Everything was properly seasoned. The carbonara was good, but I'd probably try something else next time. They didn't skimp on the pecorino Romano! It made it a little thicker than I'd usually like, but that's only personal preference. The Ravioli was delicious, spicy with slight crunch of the pine nuts and the cheese combination was a delight. The service was friendly and fast! The place is cute, and lively. It was quickly packed with happy customers. I'd recommend a reservation. Now the cons... they were out of the octopus appetizer I really wanted. No big deal. They didn't have gnocchi on the menu. That made me sad. Either of those I can get over. What I can't get over is that it was SO HOT INSIDE!!! Like sooooooo hot!!!! It ruined my meal and I couldn't even eat desert because I needed to escape the suffocating heat inside. Also, my bad for wanting pasta in 100 degree weather so I won't let it make me take a star away when they deserve it. Maybe I won't go back until fall though.

First and most significant, the place was so noisy that we could barely carry on a conversation. Adamo's is hardly the only noisy place in town, but they were up there with the very noisiest last night. With hard surfaces on the floor, walls, and ceiling, it was awful. Acoustic ceiling tiles would do wonders. One star off for cacophony. The food? Well, it had promise. My Carbonara tasted good but it would have been better had it been hot. It was almost hot in the middle but lukewarm on the outside. Similarly, my wife's Bolognese would have been good if it had been hot. The pasta also wasn't properly tossed with the sauce, so there were clumps of unsauced pasta. We believe the plates sat a while before being brought to the table. So although I desperately want to support a family-owned Italian place, they just didn't deliver a good experience last night.

We decided for our last night all together we would pick a highly rated one for a special meal. Magpie Cafe right in downtown fit the bill and we were thoroughly impressed by everything. We ordered just about every special plus many other dishes, some multiple, from appetizers through to desserts. It's in a beautiful area of the city, open to the street and green park. We opted to sit outside as it was a lovely evening. The beer menu had some regional favorites, all small and well chosen. For food we went all out, and I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Everything was so colorful and presented beautifully. Highlights were the pickles, fried asparagus, anchovies, and croquettes. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about our dishes, she added to the experience. If you're in the area, this restaurant is worth a stop. They even have a cafe in the airport!

The drink contained gin, strawberry syrup, and fresh lemon basil. It was light and refreshing and the perfect spring summer drink. Then we had the baby eggplant which was marinated in a soy glaze. It also had some sort of peanut sauce base. This was a delightful bite. Both of us were very impressed. The presentation was gorgeous. Clearly still on my eggplant craze. One of the reasons we went to Magpie was for the trout dip. In a shocking turn of events, they didn't have it. I think it was an old menu. Maybe their winter menu. This was a bummer. Instead, they had a salmon dip. We got that, and I wish it was more flavorful/smokey. Normally, I'm not a smokey seasoning person, but I think it goes nicely with fish. The chips though were really good. I love a kettle chip. I thought they would be thicker, since the dip was thicker. I'm glad they served the dip with the spoon. We also had the stone fruit salad. I was shocked it didn't come with a cheese, but after I tasted it, the creamy yogurt successfully filled that void. Once again, the plating was gorgeous. I think the peaches were good, but I can tell that later in the summer, these peaches will be even more delectable. I think the pistachios were an excellent choice to this salad. For my main course, I had the painted hills flat iron steak with a Chimichurri sauce and crispy smashed potatoes. The steak was well cooked, and with the seasoning of the chimichurri, it was a delightful bite. Sam had the gnocchi with pesto and fresh tomatoes. The gnocchi was fluffy. Both she and I thought that the pesto was good, but we both wish that we wish there was more of it. I love pesto though, so I am always going to think that. It came in dollops, rather than mixed in, so I think that was part of the problem. We also had to get dessert. I had the ice cream sandwiches. They were made with lemon thyme shortbread cookies with vanilla Guenther's Ice Cream. I wish it was a stronger vanilla taste or a flavored ice cream. The cookies were too good though. Sam had the lavender panna cotta. Normally I am not a huge panna cotta fan, but this one was delicious. It had such a strong lavender taste, in a good way. It kind of tasted like I was eating lotion because of the thickness of the panna cotta with the lavender flavor.
