I tried this for the first time 2 weeks a go. It was so good I ordered again a week later. It's nice because you can pick what you want. It's good seafood. I got Dungeness Crab, Clams(wouldn't get again, too small), head on Shrimp & Potatoes. I got the Butter and Garlic sauce with mild spice. The portion size is big and it last 2 meals for me. The only drawback is it's pricey. It's $62 for a bag. No soda included. I used Door Dash to deliver. read more

Came here to try their seafood with a couple friends on a Thursday night with no reservations. The restaurant is the old Hooters and is huge with plentiful seating and decorated tastefully with a sea theme. We tried their "Ultimate Captain Special" and their "Famous Low Country Boil". We got the same Captain Special seasoning for both. Right after placing our order, the food came out really quick (within 10 minutes). We asked the server if there was any type of house special sauce to dip the seafood in, however, the server said it would cost $5 for the "juicy" sauce, which was similar to the Captain Special sauce. We opted out and asked for lemon instead. After using all the lemon wedges, we asked for more lemon and instead of the server bringing out a new cup of lemon, she asked to reuse the same cup that she brought earlier and was passed around the table to put the lemons in again. I thought that was unsanitary especially during covid times. Overall, we did not enjoy this place. The food was very salty and the sauce was and not savory. Reusing the same cup was a big mistake to do. read more

I would like to start off by saying this is based on a doordash order. So I am aware the quality would probably be better in person but I feel it still wasnt up to par in comparison to other local crab places. I ordered Snow crab legs which came with a potato and a corn. Price was decent for what was ordered. The first issue I had was the overwhelming amount of salt in the boil. I ordered garlic butter with no heat. But this was pure salt-like my mouth was burning from the salt content. I love salty foods but this was horrible. Secondly, the crab legs literally wouldnt crack. The shells were so soft they just bent back and fourth and shredded all the meat inside. I had to cut open every leg just to pull out shreds. It was so frustrating when you just want a good piece of crab lol. Anyway, corn and potatoes were good once i wiped off some of the salty seasonings. And i also had a key lime pie which was good but the size was ridiculous. I paid 6$ for a piece the size of mcdonalds apple pie. I feel like I want to try this place in person due to the ratings but my delivery was just not good enough for me to order out again. They did however give gloves and an apron in the togo bag which was much appreciated! read more

How does a restaurant called "Captain Crab," not have a crab sandwich on the menu?? There were several other sandwiches on the menu, but none with crab. I ended up getting a shrimp sandwich to go. The sandwich was ok. The bread need to be toasted more. And to make it worse, the person working takeout never texted me when my food was ready, after I already tipped her over 20%. Doesn't know how to talk to people right. He needs to learn some manners & act profession because it makes your whole restaurant look bad. read more

Regular frozen Fried mushrooms-3 out of 5. Cheese sticks-0. Frozen and bad. Chicken wings- 2 out of 5. Regular wings nothing real special. Fried oysters-2 outta 5. Should have asked if fried in cornmeal. Fried catfish- 2 out of 5. Same issue. I think both may be frozen and pre packaged. Coleslaw was good. Didnt get any non fried seafood. My husband and I were seated for twenty minutes. In that time, customers at every table around us were checked on, orders taken, etc., and no one said a word to us. We understand restaurants are short-staffed; we eat out quite often and are more than patient with the impact this has. But to have at least five different servers stop and speak to those around you over that long of a time, and have none of them even say hello, ask if we've been helped, or anything else? I recommend this place for takeout. The food is great, but the dine in vibe is off. It's a little ghetto and not for me. I def recommend the food though! It's BOMB. A little less expensive than boiling crab, but just as good. I recommend getting the captain special. Very slimy and now all over my hands and the table. Plastic forks were so flimsy I ate with my fingers. And the music? What crap. Loud hip hop and R & B. The employees like that, but not the customers. This alone will prevent us from coming back. Employees parked right outside the door. One car took the handicap spot so I had to park further away. Nothing short of delicious! I ordered a pound of snow crab, 1/2 lb of crawfish (which were huge!) and 1/2 lb shrimp with head on, all in garlic butter flavoring with medium spice level. The medium wasn't as hot as I would've hoped but it was in all very good. So glad we have found this gem! read more
