Check-in for my party's reservation was smooth. The manager, host, and our server Edgar provided excellent, enthusiastic service. From refills, clearing the table, crumbing, to anything else we needed, Edgar was absolutely ready for it. I like the free photo print that we got to make the experience more memorable. Our party also had a birthday and the staff made sure to make them feel extra special. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed. The food tasted great! I also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts, that were quite small and served with the stems attached, which made them very chewy. My husband ordered the lobster bisque, a medium-rare steak and mashed potatoes. He said bisque tasted more like butter than anything else. His steak was served medium-well, not medium-rare and over cooked (although he never sends back food). He said the mashed potatoes were good but nothing we can't make equally as good at home. SERVICE: Our waitress was very attentive to our group and we never had to ask for more water or plates to be removed. AMBIANCE: This was the best part of the evening as our table was custom decorated for the birthday girl and the place is quite elegant with relaxing environment. Came here for our anniversary dinner. We got the wedge salad, lobster mac and cheese, and steak with garlic butter. The salad was hard to eat on such a small plate. Stopped by for a business dinner at the Sacramento California location. What a great experience, they gave us a private room there was about 7 of us in the party. The server was so professional and knowledgeable of everything on the menu. All the guests in the party enjoyed the food everything came out timely and was prepared well. I had lived in Sacramento for most of my adult life and had never tried Morton's steakhouse, crazy I know. On a return trip to visit family we decided to try out Morton's and were not disappointed. The inside is lovely, quaint, quiet yet loud enough with steak house music and a great bar area. Our service was excellent I'm not sure if the guy was new but he made sure everything was taken care of. We started out with the half dozen oysters (yum) and two cherry blossom martinis (delicious). My oldest had the sea bass which she said was phenomenal, youngest had the chicken Christopher also very good, I had the filet with lobster tail all cooked to perfection. Overall a fantastic dinner that was very pricey but worth the time with my amazing daughters. Check them out! Morton's is known for great steak and that's what I had when I went to Morton's for a special dinner. We had reservations and were seated right away. We ordered the 36 oz. Tomahawk Ribeye, 16 oz. Ribeye, Lobster Ravioli, Loaded Baked Potato, Lobster Macaroni Shells and Cheese, and Bacon-wrapped Seared Sea Scallops. For dessert, we ordered creme brûlée and received a celebratory chocolate cake. Both the Tomahawk ribeye and 16oz. ribeye were cooked medium rare and tasted delicious. The 16oz. ribeye was a little more tender. We added black truffle butter, which made the ribeye so much better. We also tried the horseradish, but I enjoyed the black truffle butter far better. The sides were all really good. I loved the bacon wrapped scallops. The mac and cheese was great with lobster pieces mixed in. The Maine lobster ravioli was good, but I only had a bite. The baked potato was huge and good. The creme brûlée was really good, but we were getting full. I really enjoyed the small chocolate cake with ice cream. We had some cocktails, which were good. We parked a few blocks away searching for a steakhouse. I have heard of Morton's so we went in. They asked if we had reservations, we did not. They said the bar has open seating so we found a free table there. At the bar they have a bar menu but you can also order off the full menu. The bread they gave us was massive. I know etiquette states you should tear vs cut bread but we cut it anyway. No one seemed to care ; ) We ordered a Paloma and a mock Paloma called a Pal"no"ma. The mocktail was just ok but the Paloma was great The staff was friendly. We shared the large filet mignon and the loaded mashed potatoes. The steak was perfect but pricy. The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had. The ambiance was welcoming and though the bill was steep, it was a great experience. I came with a friend to enjoy their happy hour on a Thursday evening. We decided to sit at their bar. The ambiance is always lovely with a dim and swanky feel and usually lively as it was this night. We ordered the short rib tacos which came 3 to an order. Even though we let them sit for a while since we were busy chatting lol the texture and flavor was still amazing! The tortilla stayed soft even once cooled down. The meat was tender and the sauce was a nice accompaniment. We also shared the mini crab cakes. They were tasty and cooked perfectly, mostly crab with not a lot of filler as they should be. I just wish there were more in each serving lol. I've had their prime rib sliders, wedge salad bites and their burger in visits last and they were all good. This place still does hospitality right. Our bartenders Rachel, Steven and Zack were all friendly, welcoming and very efficient given how busy it was. I'm a little clumsy sometimes lol and I spilled my martini right after it was set down and they were quick to make me another one which was very much appreciated. If you ask nicely they'll even give you blue cheese stuffed olives which I love. The martinis are shaken to perfection, served with tiny ice crystals along the top. We have been here a few times before: once before for my wife's birthday & for happy hour a couple times but first time during covid & our anniversary. I surprised my girlfriend with a reservation at this restaurant for her birthday, hoping for a special, romantic evening. What unfolded was one of the most disappointing and uncomfortable dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, things felt off. The gentleman at the door immediately asked whose birthday it was. When my girlfriend excitedly told him it was hers, his entire energy shifted. He looked skeptical and made it blatantly obvious that he didn't believe us like we were trying to scam a free dessert or something. It was awkward and rude right from the start. We were seated, but then we waited over 30 minutes just to even place our order. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. We had to keep flagging him down for basic things like menus, water refills, or condiment's . Ironically, the water server was far more attentive and helpful than our actual assigned waiter. The whole service felt neglectful and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I was wearing my Meta AI glasses and documented the entire painful experience every long wait, every ignored request so we could review it properly later. As we were finally leaving, the same doorman smirked and said, "Hey, happy birthday, eh," in the most sarcastic, insincere way possible. Tonight was a late birthday dinner at Morton's Steakhouse. They always make it special for special occasions, and the service is always outstanding. Tonight we started with a wedge salad that they willingly split for the two of us. Their rich blue cheese dressing, over pickled onions, cherry tomatoes and grated hard boiled egg is the best. For our entrees we had the New York steak and the 8 oz filet, and shared a baked potato and grilled asparagus. Everything was cooked to perfection, and delicious. For dessert, I was treated to their famous chocolate molten cake with ice cream, but I have no photo because I was so full from dinner (taking half home for leftovers), I had to take the dessert home too, candle included. Neither did the service. The ambience is super pretty. I love the mirror in the bathroom for a selfie lovers. A really solid happy hour! We ordered drinks and some bites and the prices were really reasonable for a high end steakhouse. The service was very good - all the staff, especially the bartenders were extremely professional and polite. The ambiance definitely gives business people getting off work, but everyone seemed respectful and kept to themselves. I enjoyed the Tennessee Smash cocktail. Very whiskey forward but more sour than sweet which I prefer. The truffle matchstick fries came in a large portion and is definitely a shareable item. If there was minus, I would say the seared ahi, only because we were spoiled with having sashimi and poke everytime we get ahi. Her entree was the lobster and filet mignon, medium. Mine was the 14 oz dry-aged ribeye, medium rare. Both topped with garlic butter. Sides were the king crab whipped potatoes and brussel sprouts. Unfortunately, the apps got us full. What we could eat, we weren't disappointed. Never had a dry aged cut prior so I didn't know what to expect. What I do know was that the steak was tender and the taste was delicious. I was happy. Steak house date night! We tried to make a reservation, but the only open times were 5 and 8 pm, so we thought we'd just show up at our desired time and try our luck. Well, we all know how that goes. They were unable to seat us in the dining room, due to it being a Saturday night, additionally, they were hosting a special event, but offered dinner in the bar area which was just fine by us. We were given the option to self seat at the bar or at high top in the bat area. We opted for a high top, it was date night after all. We started with a glass of red blend, and an Athletic non-alcoholic beer. I am including this detail for those that are into that type of thing, as people who drink non-alcoholic beer are just as choosey as those who drink regular beer, they do carry Athletic Beer. Once our drinks came out we were asked if we'd like brad, we of course want steakhouse bread - they brought us an entire onion loaf and it was so good with the butter. For appetizer we ordered a half dozen raw oysters. They were good, and came with lemon, tabasco, mignonette, and horseradish. After the oysters, for our second course we ordered a wedge salad, and chopped salad. We were asked if we wanted our wedge cut up for us, but opted to have it whole for the experience. For our third course we ordered the loaded baked potato, however the server recommended the potatoes au gratin. I love going with the servers recommendations, so we changed to the au gratin. The flavor was good, but unfortunately, they were slightly undercooked which was disappointing. Everything was going so well, that we decided to overlook it. I'm sure if we would have spoken up, they would have brought us the loaded baked potato, but we were having such a good time, and didn't want to throw off the vibe. For our fourth, and final course we ordered the lobster ravioli, and a 16oz ribeye cooked medium rare. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the ribeye was cooked perfectly. Our meal was great, and surprisingly enough it was not as costly as we'd remembered. All that aside, I would like to draw attention to the service. I have arrived without a reservation to similar caliber restaurants in Sacramento, and have not been well received, however this was not the case at Morton's. They graciously offered to accommodate us in the bar area. Additionally, while we were dressed up for date night, I noticed that other couples were not, and they did not appear to be made feel uncomfortable. The servers offered menu suggestions, and made friendly conversation, and even offered to cut up our wedge salad for us. When I ordered a glass of wine, the server returned minutes later to ask if I liked my wine selection, when it came time to close out we did not have to ask for to-go boxes, they were offered to us, and our items were packed for us. Morton's is not a restaurant that quickly comes to mind when planning a date night, as we sometimes tend to want to try something trending, and new. Our experience at Morton's reminded us it's best to go with what you know at times if you desire a worry free date - you know the aesthetics is going to be on point, the ambiance is romantic with that traditional steakhouse decor, you know exactly what to expect as far as the menu goes, and the quality of food and service provided are bar none. We can't wait to come back, but next time we will try to be better about making a reservation so we can enjoy the dining room. read more

This was my first time at Morton's and I had very high expectations and left feeling really let down. The steak was cooked the way that I asked, but was completely flavorless. The asparagus was very tough and also fell flat on taste. The scalloped potatoes were not bad, but nothing to write home about. If anything, I thought the Caesar salad might be enjoyable but it was actually not great. I love Caesar salad, but the lettuce wasn't fresh and it was just boring to me. For the cost, I'm not sure that I would return. But, I suppose I should never say never. Maybe I'll try again, but it was really hit or miss for me and I don't want to have another missed mark experience. I'm still sad about it. :( read more

10/10 spectacular! Food was amazing, service was excellent! My honey and I were greeted as soon as we walked in & seated without any reservations. I wouldn't recommend going in on a weekend without reservations but since it was a weekday, they were able to seat us immediately. Our waiter was really nice, fast and helpful. We ordered the ribeye to share - added garlic butter, grilled shrimp, lobster tail, Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes - everything was amazing. I will be coming back! read more
