Nothing worse than driving to a speaker, just behind the one in front of you and having to wait more than a minute for some to ask for your order thru a speaker that couldn't be softer than a church mouse! Service at this Captain Ds is sooo bad. The server has a loud voice. She said she called me. That's a lie. I was waiting in the front area for over an hour. A lot of people were getting their money back. On top of that the A/C was not working. Also I asked for lemon/pepper on my white fish. There was none. They should go ahead and close this Captain Ds. I had Captain D's for dinner last night. I ordered online. I thought I would be going inside to pick up my meal, but when I arrived, a member of the staff was standing at the door, yelling through the glass, that I needed to get in the drive through line. I could hardly hear him. There was no sign on the door or anything to indicate this. So, I got in the line for the drive through. By the time I got through the line and my meal was received, it was already ice cold and I still had to transport it home to my family members. This made me very angry. Since there were other customers in the line beeping horns and shouting, I am sure I was not the only one. It's a shame that customers are treated this way. I really like Captain D's food, but I will probably never order from this store again. Other stores are just too far away. My usual ticket price is between $35 and $50. The fish was delicious but the hush puppies were a bit dry. Overall for $5.99 it was good. Service was fast from the time I got to the drive thru and got my order was less than 5 minutes. Why is this location still drive-thru only? Covid restrictions were dropped months ago. The line is so long it's almost in the street. I do believe alot of restaurants are taking advantage of the fact that during covid, restaurants were pickup and drive thru only. So now they use it their advantage and just keep the inside closed. Welp there is nothing bad I can say here. The food is always good and fresh. They don't have anything I didn't try that I don't like. My favorites is the okra, fish, crab and jalapeños bombers. I have experienced a long wait time once or twice but it's not normal for super long waits. So if it happens your like I guess it my day vs these lines always long. the girl that took my order made me wait while she chatted with another worker at the window. I felt that was very rude! I asked for an about a fish sandwich as well as clam strips and coleslaw. First time coming here and had a very disappointing experience. Order a Deluxe Platter, 2-piece Catfish and single order of Lobster Rolls a $30 order. At the window we asked if they offered military discount, which they did, 10%. They gave us our food (well most of it). I reviewed the receipt and the discount only applied to the $5.29 lobster roll saving us only $0.53 on the entire $30 order that's less than 2% discount. After getting our food and driving home (about 10 mins away) noticed they didn't give us the lobster rolls which was the one item that was discounted. Had to drive back up there to get the order corrected and even asked them to remake the order so we had fresh food and not cold. Very unacceptable! Staff didn't even apologize nor offer anything for the inconvenience like a drink. They didn't even say hello. Would highly recommend not to go there. read more

I wouldn't feed my dog this mess! Their fish, I was told by Luke (a manager, who doesn't identify himself as one unless you ask), has been compromised. Apparently, they are selling some extra breaded, dried out mystery meat! They have signs on their door and drive-thru speaker that state this (I was told when I called back to complain), but it doesn't help if you have ordered online and go to pick it up, like I DID. They said they are NOT giving refunds because you should've read the sign. 1st: Why are you selling something of such poor quality 2nd: disable your website/online orders or at least remove fish from being ordered on it or state that the quality is poor! I will not be patronizing this restaurant. They have gone down in customer service and food quality and the folks in management don't seem to care. read more

I went here for lunch recently. The bathroom was disgusting... Someone had messed all over the floor and no one seemed interested in cleaning. I'm giving a one star cuz they will not let me leave a zero star. My wife and I came into the Captain D's in Goose Creek , SC to sit down and have dinner. But when we walked in we were not even acknowledged that we were standing there. There were 4 employees working at this time and none of them bothered to say hi or may I take your order or even go as far as saying I'll be right with you. So we stood there for a good 10 minutes when a female customer and her daughter walked up to try and get a Togo box and was also ignored so she stormed out without her food. Still no one has said anything to us. Then one young female came from the back and told the other young female working the drive thru that she was going to have to do the front counter also, so they looked at us and both walked away. So I told them thank you for making our night start off great and that we would never came back to this location and I will be getting ahold of who I need to about this. So the younger male that was in the back just standing there said to us, "oh well, Peace, have a good night!" as we walked out the door.
