i think any time a place has merchandise the second you walk up it should be a little bit of a red flag that it is a tourist trap and it made me want to turn around, but it was late and we needed some grub. great outdoor seating area. this seems more of a local spot and less of a show stopping seafood spot. fishermans platter offered more than expected but i wasn't as impressed as i thought i would be - still, chowed this down within 30 minutes. service was quick and kind and happy to seat us. good spot - maybe need fryer oil changed?

As ubiquitous as the beaches, lobster rolls define Cape Cod. The toasted buns, the heaping mound of lobster meat, the tang of the cole slaw. Staying in North Truro, having Captain's Choice nearby meant I didn't have to battle summer traffic on Rt.6. My order was placed and ready for pick-up in 5 minutes. The lobster roll hit the spot --- pure comfort and all was right in the world once more. Their homemade chips offer something unique and tasty, though unfortunately I found them a little overdone. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, friendly and efficient service, easy parking, and a sure bet for your seafood hankerings.

Was driving back down the cape and wanted a lobster roll and that was what Captain's Choice was advertising, so we stopped and ate our lobster roll. It was definitely worth the stop. The service was really friendly and unlike a lot of east coast restaraunts, they continued to fill up our soda and water. The lobster roll was fresh and had great flavor. Also, I really liked the coleslaw, which isn't too surprising, give that I am a big slaw fan. The chowda was good too. Just overall everything that we got on the menu was great. So it is worth the time to go.

I'll never understand it. For us it was love at first sight and the affection has grown stronger each year. A beer for me and a whisky for my girl. Chips if we're feeling flush. Generally around four. The place is mostly empty. It's heaven. We've noticed crowds at night, but have never gone in then. I'll bet it's swell but 1/2 empty is the way we like it. You will too, but you've got to first step over the threshold. Incidentally, I'm not a fan of the term dive bar. It's disrespectful. Someone owns the joint and made it just the way they like it. It's patina, ok?

Then proceeded to flirt with my girlfriend then tried p*mping her out to some dirty old man who Justin said was the owner, but CLEARLY WASN'T TRUE right in front of my face. Definitely would never go to this bar again. I'm obsessed with PTown, but this bar needs be under new appropriate, professional, respectful management and need to take care of our community!

For some wishful reason, I thought it was a full-out gay bar, but no, when we heard the booming voice of the drunken slattern at the bar, we knew it was a place that welcomed anybody and everybody. Nothing wrong with that but some show tunes would've been nice. We soon realized P-Town doesn't really have straight bars, just different flavors of gay ones. The bartender was friendly, but the vibe was off for us. We weren't into pool or ping-pong but still made time for a couple of their signature cocktails in paper cups, the $16 Margarita for Jamie and the $14 Blue Hawaiian for me (Photo 2). They were on the watery side, but hey, the evening was young. You have to walk up a slight hill on Carver Street to get here, and it was no surprise that it was relatively packed with all the terrace seats taken. And yet, the ambiance was quite chill. Everyone was looking relaxed and definitely not on the make. Customers skewed a tad older here, which made us feel right at home. We were particularly impressed that the veteran bartender had a mixing container dedicated to their espresso martinis, so of course, we ordered a pair for $16 each (photo: https://yelp.to/VmjWNmEyk0).
