I absolutely loved this coffee shop! The barista was super kind and came over to talk to us and the drinks were delicious. Plus there's a vintage shop inside and a Photo Booth!

Staff is super welcoming & I'm currently obsessed with their dirty chai! Love stopping here first on my thrift days!!

Cool place, with cool vibes.. vintage store and small coffee shop as well. It's connected. Friendly service . All kinds of vintage clothes . Interesting things to look at. The price point seems a little higher. It is in a beach community.

I tried the blended banana chai for the first time and it was amazing. This was my first time here, and the whole experience was great. My family and I even got to enjoy the photo booth while waiting for our drinks -- such a cute touch! There's also a thrift store attached, which makes the visit even more fun and unique. Staff had a great recommendation.

Great coffee, reasonable price. $6.25 for a 16oz iced latte with almond milk - some places are charging upwards of $9 in this area! The baristas are always friendly and have dog treats (which my dog appreciates). Heads up, it will be busy on weekends, get there before 9am to avoid long lines.

We come here every weekend! Their staff is kind, plenty of tables to eat and drink. We enjoy the black coffee, and also enjoyed the banana smoothie! They have Captains Helm a cute thrift shop and store next door for fun browsing. The protein bar is delicious too.

I ordered the acai bowl and it was delicious! There can be a long line at times but service was quick. Although when I was next to order, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged until they finished giving out the order they were working on, then I was approached. But I guess that's why the service was quick. I would definitely order the acai bowl again and next time I'll have to try their coffee.

Overall, a cute little coffee shop that you can walk right up to from the sidewalk. The menu is pretty small so it's pretty straightforward on what to choose from. We went on a Saturday morning, so it was a little busy and our coffee smoothie and bagel took about 10 minutes to be ready. They call you by the name to let you know it's ready and you can pick it up inside on their counter. Their smoothies don't have milk. They use apple juice! Pretty delicious and not badly priced for the area. They also have a store connected to the coffee shop.

This is the best local owned coffee shop around! They have amazing avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches and of course my favorite iced matcha with almond milk and honey. Grab your stuff to go, or you can eat outside and enjoy the fresh air! The service is always amazing and it's awesome supporting a local small business!

Definitely an easy location to order from! The staff is friendly too! Waits never seem too long to make an order and even waiting for food/drinks is only a few minutes. They have plenty of different coffee options and a decent amount of food options. I absolutely love the Mexican mocha, either iced or hot! Their blended chais are also other delicious options. There is a decent amount of seating outside and the same parking situation as revolution roasters. Street parking is the easiest option.

They have yummy affordable sandwiches! Same quality as Communal but half the price. Fun outdoor seating options as well. Inside is shared space with a vintage clothing store. Staff were friendly and playful.

Wasn't familiar with this coffee shop, only here for the week on a beach house vacation. Glad I chose this spot! Got a decaf Iced almond milk latte and added a little honey and cinnamon, which was delicious! Loved the taste of the decaf espresso. Girl at the register was sweet. I also got a plain bagel with cream cheese, which was good but needed a lot less cream cheese. I had to open up the bagel and remove more than half the cream cheese. :( (maybe I'm just pregnant and being extra picky) Would definitely recommend this place.

However, my friends from North County highly recommended this establishment and kindly invited me to join them. The outdoor seating is spacious and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The friendly service adds to the overall experience. Initially, I was contemplating getting a coffee, but my friend insisted on trying the matcha. And let me tell you, you won't regret it. As I mentioned earlier, I'm not usually a fan of matcha, and I often end up regretting it and discarding it. But this time, I was pleasantly surprised. I was thoroughly satisfied and regained my trust in matcha. My friend opted for pastries, and she thoroughly enjoyed them, even devouring them.

This place has such a loyal following that people will happily walk a few blocks just to get their Revo fix. One of my favorite things is their seasonal menu. I've learned to fully embrace each special while it's here because once it's gone, it's gone. Right now, I'm completely obsessed with the Coconut Mango Sticky Rice Matcha. I'm pretty sure the baristas recognize me as "the Sticky Rice Matcha lady" at this point! I'm soaking up every sip while it's in season, and although I'll be sad when it's gone, I know they'll surprise me with something amazing next season. Their food is just as impressive. The toast is delicious, they use Prager Brothers bread, organic avocado, and fresh tomatoes, and you can really taste the difference that quality ingredients make. It's refreshing to find a café that clearly cares about food integrity. Another huge bonus for me is that they offer almond milk. So many coffee shops default to oat milk, but I appreciate having another option that fits my preferences. The only downside is the parking. My strategy is simple: go early if you can. Once it gets busy, finding a spot can be an adventure. But even with that minor inconvenience, Revolution Roasters is absolutely worth the trip. Incredible coffee, thoughtful seasonal drinks, quality ingredients, and a team that clearly cares about what they serve. Easy five stars.

Mike and the entire team at Dreamwave are doing such an incredible job of making the experience worth every penny. The quality of the coffee, the work they do, and the service they provide is truly top tier. While they do have a lot of fun flavors, this is not the kind of place that drowns the palate with sweetness. They expertly balance the ratio of syrup, milk, and espresso to provide the best outcome. The nuttiness of their roast really shines, and they're always happy to adjust the sweetness if you need them to. Personally, I love the lower sweetness level being the default. These guys know what they're doing! We've been visiting for the past week and have stopped through Dreamwave four times this week. While I'm always in the need of a coffee fix, we've gone out of our way to visit multiple times because the people have been so beyond kind. We ordered the Smoked Salmon Tartine, and it was SO good -- farmer's cheese, capers, pickled onion and dill on their sourdough. Honestly, the food was top tier. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, and after trying the bread we actually ended up buying some to take home! For drinks, we had a matcha latte with oat milk and the canned nitro cold brew. Just a heads-up for my fellow coffee people: the cold brew isn't made in-house, but that didn't stop it from being really good! We liked the coffee so much that we actually went over to the local coffee shop that supplies their beans afterward and bought some beans to take home. And definitely don't skip the bakery. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious, and the chocolate croissant had that super crispy, crackly exterior. I personally would have loved a little more filling to make it slightly more moist, but that's completely subjective -- if you love a crispier croissant, you'll probably LOVE it. The atmosphere might have been my favorite part. It's beautiful, calm, inviting and just has that perfect Carlsbad coastal café vibe.
