The Car Outlet website doesn't have pricing info, so I provided mine hoping I could talk to someone maybe go to their location and get an idea. Anna called me and completely turned me off. From the beginning of our conversation, she was pushy. I explained what I was doing and immediately she tells me "But you can leave with a car today". I felt I explained myself 3 or 4 times that I was only doing research and trying to get a price range, and each time her response was we can work with you and you can come in today and leave with a new car. I even told her I don't have a license, I need that first. Her response, "You don't need that to buy a car", ummm but I would need it to drive home. When I told her for the 5th time that wasn't my intention, she began to say, well saving money is a waste of time because prices change. I told her once again, I wanted to get a price range not a set price. She then informed me the only way to provide that was to come in because they first have to ask very personal information about me then they can give me prices. This is the worst car dealership I ever had to deal with. They sold me and my partner a used 2010 Chrysler Town and Country Limited minivan. The car was presented to us by Marcos Chavez ( salesperson) with a lot of extra electronic equipment that increased my interest in it because I would not look at something that old. A few days later I had to take it in for repairs. Yes the car was a problematic one. The repair lady was trying to tell me that I bought it "as is" when they stated on paper work that it I had a 90 day warranty on it. And then after getting it back and paying my $700 warranty fee only to realize have equipment stolen from it. First they removed the hinge from the rear, then the plastic stepper from the back bumber and replaced it with a faded one ( no silver finish), then they took out the front tweakers domes and replaced the covers with some other cars plastic covers that do not even mach the interior of my car they also took out a second console from center of the car that had a VES video gaming device. All that is what I can remember and see. They where claiming the fixed the actuator of the rear door and the air conditioner sensor. I can only state that because they where asking if I have pictures to prove it. What person buys a car and takes pictures of everything in the car. DO NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM. They don't report to the credit bureaus but be late making your payment and you won't get them off your back. I would have rated Car Outlet minus 5 stars if possible. I purchased a vehicle from the Joliet location 6 weeks ago while visiting my family (we live in Michigan). My husband and I had been looking for an SUV for a few months and thought we had a great deal from Car Outlet so we decided to make the out-of-state purchase. Well 2 weeks later it started squeaking from the rear. We took it to 2 different Michigan mechanics and they both advised to have it serviced at the dealer where we bought it. So I took 2 days off of work and made the 300 mile trip to have Car Outlet fix my vehicle. The first day (Tuesday) that they had it I was told that they couldn't hear a squeaking noise but that the humming noise was from my tires that needed to be replaced (we knew it would need tires sooner rather than later). I stopped in (Tuesday evening) to test drive it with the mechanic and he did finally hear the squeak that I was complaining about. It had NOTHING to do with my tires. He asked if he could keep it one more day to fix the squeak. I said yes but that I had to be back at work Thursday. Wednesday late afternoon I call to get an update and they tell me that my vehicle is ready for pick up. Apparently the squeaking was coming from the brakes...which I didn't believe because the squeaking was constant. So I pick it up but 30 minutes later it starts squeaking again. I couldn't take it back to them that night because they were already closed. So INFURIATED...I go back Thursday morning (when I should be driving back home). After 2 hours of waiting they said "oh, it's a seal that needs replacing. We can have it ready by 3 or 4 p.m." I had to leave to get back to work that evening so I took their printout with their recommendations (which I just noticed had another customer's name on it) and left back to MI in a squeaky vehicle. So after 2 days off of work and $75 in gas my problem is still not fixed. Now my 3 months or 3,000 mile warranty is no longer valid because they wasted my time and didn't fix the vehicle during the first 2 days that they had it. I do NOT trust them and will never do business with them or recommend them to any of my friends and family in the Chicago area. I am COMPLETELY unhappy with Car Outlet but they do not care. They will just continue to take advantage of people. read more
