I scheduled a 10:00 a.m. appointment the day before to test drive a 2026 Subaru Uncharted Premium. When I arrived, no one seemed to know anything about my appointment. I was told to find the person who had scheduled it--even though that person wasn't even at the dealership yet. Eventually I spoke with a salesperson, who looked around the lot and then told me the car was in storage and would take about 40 minutes to retrieve. When I pointed out that I had scheduled the test drive in advance, the response was simply, "Nobody told us." The issue wasn't that the car wasn't ready. Mistakes happen. The problem was the complete lack of urgency, ownership, or interest in fixing the situation. No apology. No effort to make things right. I genuinely felt like retrieving the car was more of an inconvenience than earning a potential customer's business. I even mentioned that I could drive to another Subaru dealership in less time than it would take to bring the car over. There was no response. If you're offering scheduled test drives, there should be some communication between the person making the appointment and the sales staff. My impression was of a dealership with poor internal communication and an even poorer customer experience. I hope management takes notice, because this was an easy situation to recover from--and instead, they simply let a customer walk away. read more

One star is much too high a rating for them. Horrible experience through and through. I arrived around 2pm to get my car checked out and diagnosed for them to try and negotiate/ discourage me from trying to get service at that time, I understand it's almost time for business hours to be done, so I agree to leave the car overnight. I will as greeted by a service advisor who did not fully wait to hear the issue in its entirety before she took me through the Subaru sales pitch of "we can only use factory batteries" I had to let her know I had replaced that battery twice and it kept dying, it's more then just a battery issue. It took them about an hour to not even put my correct information in the system and refer to me as the previous owner despite me saying it was not me. After waiting an hour of my time they gave me issues on getting the loaner car, I have rented can received loaners from other dealerships with no problem at all with my insurance. This particular dealership looked for an issue and gave me so much pushback I was propositioned to just take my car back if I wanted to get home. I did and I will not be back there. Went in wanting to purchase 2 vehicles, given I have been a member of the Subaru community for almost a decade and have had 2 Subarus prior from this exact dealership. The process felt extremely rushed and the floor manager "Zakarian" was willing to work on a fair pricing situation with me, which I was happy with. However my family and I were met with disrespectful comments by him. We were asked why we came in if we hadn't made up our minds on a car, and why we're "wasting" his time. It's unfortunate that going to a dealership, to test drive a car, talk numbers, and discuss what's best for us was considered "wasting" time. Ultimately when taking his advice, and going home to think it over with my family, the "floor manager" stood up, made a comment regarding my preferences and went back to his office and sat on his chair without a simple kind gesture of "have a nice day" A respectful person would understand that purchasing a vehicle is supposed to be a smooth process, not rushed nor filled with negative comments. This is the first Subaru dealer that DOES NOT meet the standard you expect from the brand. We inquired over the phone about a specific Solterra they had in stock and told them we'd be there to test drive in an hour. Upon arrival, the car wasn't there and was at the storage facility, and the person we talked to on the phone wasn't there. We were passed from one sales person to another. The one that eventually took us on a test drive (his name is Jose Delgado per their website) had a grumpy attitude complaining because we did not want to buy a car that day, he wasn't going to make any money, and clearly did not want to get the car from the storage lot. Our test drive? Just a drive from the storage lot, down Brand blvd., and back to the dealership. Zero customer service. Zero managers reaching out to ask how we like the car after the test drive. The sales person just said bye after we parked the car. This is the textbook example of how to lose a customer. I will NEVER return to Subaru of Glendale again. read more

Hit or miss dealership with attitude. Depending on the salesperson you get, the service level may be drastically different. On a weekend visit, you might get swarmed by hungry greeters. Unfortunately, getting someone to answer serious questions may prove to be a difficult task. Everyone seems to be a manager on their sales team, but that is quite a loose term they use. They try very hard to close a deal. This is the attitude you will receive. Some even stand proud to be Subaru experts, and some here may just stand a little too proud. Shoppers, be aware. The service department misses more than it can impress with. Service is inundated with lots of work. They are busy, and some of the many reviews are quite believable. I brought my Subaru to Subaru of Glendale multiple times for the same engine rattling issue and each time, my concerns were brushed off. I kept explaining that the noise was the same as a 2023 timing issue that had been repaired under warranty, and I specifically asked for the cam sprockets to be checked again. Instead, I was told there was nothing wrong and, on one occasion, told "Ma'am, sometimes cars just make sound." As a woman, it was frustrating and disheartening to be treated like I didn't know what I was talking about. In October, I paid for a fuel system cleaning and oil change they recommended, even though I doubted it would fix the issue and it didn't. When my check engine light came on two months later in December, I was told again that I needed a fuel system cleaning and oil change. I had just paid for that. When I insisted they finally check the cam sprockets like I'd originally asked, they found that they did, in fact, need to be replaced. But still, it didn't fix the rattling. To make things worse, the loaner vehicle I was promised under warranty was made difficult to access. I submitted all paperwork a week in advance but was still told I was "lucky" one was available, and it took extra time to get me on the road almost making me late for work. Out of frustration, I took my car to Sierra Subaru, and the difference was night and day. Their team actually listened. They didn't push unnecessary services. In fact, they said a fuel system cleaning wasn't needed at all. Instead, they recommended I try a few tanks of high-octane fuel with detergent, which might resolve the issue without breaking the bank. It was such a refreshing, honest approach. Their technician identified the problem in minutes- something Glendale failed to do over the course of a year. I love my Subaru, but I won't be returning to Subaru of Glendale. I was dismissed, overcharged, and left dealing with a rattling engine for far too long. If you want to be taken seriously, especially as a woman, I'd recommend going elsewhere. AVOID Subaru of Glendale at all costs if you want honest repairs and good customer service. read more

I am disappointed with the service at Glendale Subaru. I had a 10 a.m. appointment at Glendale Subaru for an oil change. I asked the service writer to have the mechanic check why the engine RPM stays high for two minutes, and if possible, reprogram it to 50 seconds like other cars. I was ignored for two hours with no updates, I couldn't find my service writer, and my text went unanswered. after asking to a different advisor told me the oil change was done, but they were still trying to fix the RPM issue. We waited another hour without any updates, service, or offer of a ride. After 3 hours and 15 minutes, I got a text saying my car was ready, but the RPM issue was not resolved. I was in the market for a used car. I went to test drive a car at this Subaru dealer, and had a very bad experience. The dealer was EXTREMELY PUSHY and made me feel very uncomfortable. When I told him I wasnt buying today, his manager came over, and also tried to bully me into buying a car. They then proceeded to call and text me multiple times a day from multiple different numbers until I blocked them. I can't believe people are still trying to sell cars this way. I was presented with the paperwork to sign , it said the price is $125. I asked about the difference and the customer service rep first said it was sales tax. Let me start off by saying the first time I was here I dealt with a guy in service who was fantastic. He was great at communication went above and beyond. I'm sad I do not remember his name to give him credit. However, my experience yesterday was on the other end of the spectrum. I had a personal friend run a diagnostic on a check engine light that came on my car. The mechanic, being the honest guy that he is, he suggested that I call Subaru to see if it was covered under my extended warranty. So I called. I spoke with a young lady who I will not mention by name, but flat out refused to give me an answer. I explained to her I was not asking for a diagnosis, I was simply asking if hypothetically this is what was wrong, would it be covered under the extended warranty. She told me she would not give me that information unless I brought the car in and they were able to do a diagnosis. Back-and-forth it was so frustrating and it seemed very unethical for her not to be able to tell me what is covered and what is not covered on my car, that I own, that is a Subaru which they service warranty for!!!!! I called Subaru in Sherman Oaks and Erica at that location immediately looked it up and confirmed that it was covered on my extended warranty and got me in the same day. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Subaru of Glendale is full of a bunch of crooks that try to rip people off. I was a previous customer here and decided to come back to trade in my crosstrek for a forester. Since I had previously had a good experience here years ago, I thought it would be a good idea. Boy, was I wrong! I went in last week and met with a salesman, (forget his name). I test drove the car I was interested and then was sent to an employee named Baris to talk numbers. I'm not sure what he was trying to pull, or if he thought that I was a complete idiot, but he came back with estimates of my monthly payments and all the numbers. First, he was trying to give me the car at sticker price. Next, there were extra maintenance and warranty packages added on. I did not ask for this. Next, the interest rate I was offered was 4.9%, even though Subaru finance is offering 2.9% for 72 months on approved credit. I have a perfect credit score, so I am certain that I would have qualified for this. Needless to say, I did not purchase a vehicle there. Baris is a very sneaky and manipulative salesperson who tries to sweet talk people and take advantage. So incredibly disingenuous and fake. They were trying to get me to finance nearly $50,000 on a $35,000 vehicle. What a complete joke! I just feel bad for people who actually fall for this dealership's dishonest tactics. Not only has Glendale Subaru lost me as a customer, I will never bring my car in for service again either. They do not care about keeping customers. I went over to Subaru of Sherman Oaks where I bought the vehicle I wanted for a very reasonable monthly payment and the 2.9% interest that Subaru offers. I would give them zero stars if I could. Came to this dealership on 12/13 & I have to say this was probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We were working with Jose & from the beginning to end the experience left me speechless in the worst ways. First off, we had to wait a while for them to pick up the vehicle from storage. Once the car actually arrived, he was very pushy about us wanting to take our time inspecting the vehicle. Making comments "are you guys really going to test everything?" Mind you, the gas was completely empty with the gas light on but he said we could still test drive it, okay sure. What was my absolute tipping point was when we finally went into the office to talk numbers, we tried to confirm they would fill the tank upon purchase. His reply was it's either the $500 discount from AAA or filling the gas tank. I was so shocked, I have never ever purchased a car (used or new) where the dealer would not ensure the gas tank was full upon payment.
