This letter of reference or is it a referral, is written with the greatest enthusiasm and respect for a team of your associates and/or employees Johnny and Adrian. The two men worked like a team, in-sync with knowing the other's next step, both having different suggestions to solving my car problem. They were filled with strategies, such as if this does not work, we can do this, etc. My car was in a dangerous situation, needing an urgent car repair, with absolutely no assistance of any kind from the car dealership. Once I called "Car Stereo Connection" (CSC), I immediately knew I was heading to the right place. I felt desperate; although, after a few minutes talking with Johnny and Adrian, I knew God answered my call for "HELP", directing me to CSC. I am a 66-year-old-lady, who does not know much about car repairs; except I know the importance of getting regular maintenance. Such as oil changes, filters, and what not on a timely basis. Additionally, today, my financial predicament does not allow me to be in a position to purchase a new car. Basically, it was essential that I get this vehicle restored to good condition, so not to be a problem on the road. So, this is what happened: On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., I went through a puddle in my 2012 Chrysler. As I was making my way through the muddy wet mess, water emerged into the engine. With that the horn went off, the emergency hazard lights started flashing and both would not stop. Thank God, I could not go more than 20 miles per hour. Being, that the car would not stop, I could not stop at the intersections. I was in an awful circumstance all around me. I believe through the Grace-of-God, I got to work safely, without an incident. My work office - destination, was only 6 blocks away. Now that the car was safely parked, I had to deal with the horn's severe irritating noise and my work, neighbors requesting it to be turned off. Even with the engine off, the horn would not stop blaring. I even believe the horn got louder, as the car simply sat turned off. Due to that drench of rain, I went through, the car's electrical wiring instantly malfunctioned. That Chrysler then had a mind of its own. The car's horn went off-and -on, completely on its own. It was a high volume, blasting horn, going off for no apparent reason! A friend then disconnected the horn, so that my work neighbors would now end their complaints. I could not drive like that, with a forever screeching horn blowing. Being my car is older, I most definitely needed a horn, to protect myself and other drivers, just in case there- was a mechanical issue. I then drove to Chrysler in Anaheim, where I was told that they could not replace the horn and my only option was to buy a new car. Yike's, Chrysler then pushed a salesman after me, repeating, "they could not help me, unless I wanted to shop for a new car!" Multiple times I had to fend off the sales team. That was a solid NO, to the new car!!! With that I had an epiphany moment, where a bright light went off inside my head. I thought maybe, possibly the guys who put in my car radio, at Car Stereo Connection could help. Since they know the electronics of what was going on inside the engine, being they installed the radio. OMG, was I right! After days of frustration, On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, I drove my car to CSC to be greeted by smiling, Johnny and Adrian who with confidence, said "they could help me." I agreed to keep my car at their facility for a few days, while they figured out a solution. As the two men worked on my car, I got frequent calls, giving me choices they thought would be best for my situation. I agreed to have a separate horn installed near the steering wheel, which was used many times in the past two months. I am grateful, for both Johnny and Adrian, who diligently worked to ensure my car was taken care of. The two have strong work ethics, who obviously are professional in all aspects of their work. Ugh.. I cringe whenever I remember my experiences with this place oh so many years ago. Let me take you back to around the year 2000, when I was but a naive kid fresh out of high school. My parents had bought me a truck, and the previous owner had done a hell of a hack job on the stereo system (Another story altogether, but let's press on) and I figured it was going to take quite a bit to re-piece a decent setup. The first thing I wanted to do was upgrade the 8" subs that had been (poorly) installed by cutting holes in the rear kick-panels. I figured it would be far cheaper to upgrade what I had as opposed to starting from scratch. I wanted something beefier than the Pyle Drivers, so that's when I visited Car Stereo Connection on a recommendation from my brother. This would be my first of many unpleasant dealings with one Johnny Perez. So after a quick consultation ("How about some JLs? MUCH better speakers") and three hours to install, I'm ready to hear what kind of difference this $300 upgrade has made. I fire up the truck, get some music going, and all I feel is utter disappointment. The new subs are CRAP. Not even close to what I had before, and I can hear them hitting full excursion with hardly any volume. Well, what Mr. Perez had failed to tell me was that he had sold me JL W0s, the weakest sub JL made at the time! So after expressing my dissatisfaction, Mr. Perez THEN tells me that those are the only ones he has that will fit my application. We both agreed that he would put my old subs back in if I accepted store credit instead of refunding my card. At this point I was trapped. Well played Mr. Perez. After a bit of debating, I figured my best option would be a JL Stealthbox that I could fit under the back seat. At least then I could fit a single, more powerful 10" woofer instead of two weenie 8"s. So I inquire to Mr. Perez about how long it would take to order said box. He says a week or two. I give the go-ahead, since I really had no other options. This is when I really began to loathe CSC. I called them once a week for MONTHS wondering when my Stealthbox was going to arrive. Every time they answered, they handed me excuse after excuse. "Oh, UPS guy hasn't come by yet, call back later." "Should be here next week." "They're on back-order until next month." "Don't care, we got your money SUCKER." OK, so that last one may be a fabrication, but that's what I envisioned Mr. Perez thinking to himself during our conversations. Six months later, I gave up, and went to CSC to cancel my order and use my store credit on something else, just so I could leave and never again have to see that little smirk under Mr. Perez's pencil moostache. He used his shady salesman tactics to con me into paying over $250 bucks for one of Pioneer's cheapest head units. To add the figurative cherry on top of the (also figurative) shitcake, I later discovered that it was used. Go figure(ative?). I'm sure it's pretty obvious that I fully recommend you patronize elsewhere for your car stereo needs. It's possible that Mr. Perez has moved on and the shop has improved itself, but I'll be damned if I ever set foot in Car Stereo Connection again. read more

What I wanted: Have an auxiliary port on my SUV's factory radio so I can play my iPod or iPhone. I didn't need a whole iPod integration kit, just a simple auxiliary port. So I checked with Best Buy first and they didn't have the parts for my dad's 2007 Nissan Murano. I also called around some of the places listed through Yelp and were quoted around $200 or more (as a starting price) and they were all the iPod integration kits, not the simple aux line. I was thinking of maybe just buying a whole new head unit but it's my dad's car and he's old so he hates new things he has to learn how to use. So cut to the chase, I called these guys and spoke to Adrian who said it wouldn't be a problem getting a simple auxiliary port installed. He even advised that a new head unit or the iPod integration kit would costs a whole lot more than just $200 which he was right, I did my research after his quote. I appreciate that a company is really looking to help out a customer and not just lie to them so they can make more money. The deal: I came down today and took a long lunch from work. They were pretty busy but since I called ahead and had a set schedule, Adrian was able to help me out quick. He installed the part, tested it, showed me how to use the new aux port (since I had a factory radio which limited the options), and had me out of there in less than an hour. On the drive back to work, the unit worked fine and the sound was pretty good (considering I'm still using the factory audio). Overall, I spent less than the other guys I called, the install was quick and clean, and the service was friendly and professional. After much research on the car forums regarding my goal (keeping the factory navigation headunit while ending up with an amazing sounding stereo) and hearing a few recommendations for this stop, I decided to give them a try. Called up and spoke with Johnny, who was a pleasure to speak with. Like myself, we were both older and had some experience in the aftermarket world. He answered all my questions clearly and concisely, especially since I've been out of the game for many years. I brought in my car later that week and he diagrammed out a proposed setup, as well as an out-the-door price. Fast forward to 2 weeks later, I brought my car in. Nate was there and (I assume) did most of the work. I asked for a clean install and the result was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted the vehicle to appear as it came from the factory, and that is what I was presented with. Car was done in about 6 hours. I'm very anal about my vehicles (Two S2000s, M3s, and several motorcycles) so I was concerned about having someone else work on my car. I usually do everything myself, but with work and other things taking priority, I lacked the patience and time to install this system. I'm very happy with Car Stereo Connection and will definitely recommend them to others who ask. I only give 4 stars since (and I know this usually happens), there was a small paint chip under my door handle, probably from someone opening the door with a tool/keys in hand. I accept this as a consequence of having others work on your car. Most would not even notice, but I'm pretty particular about my car. The two crossover pieces behind the glovebox weren't mounted perfectly and affected the use of the glovebox. I remounted them once I got home, so not a big deal. Overall, very happy. I came back 3 hours later and they still haven't figured out how to install the alarm in my car! They told me they were gonna call me the following business day after they find the proper instruction for the installation but they didn't! After researching tons of car audio shops in a 30 mile range of OC, I decided to go with these guys. I could not be more happy, I am an audiophile myself and have done a few installs on my own. But decided to have CSC install my speakers, 4ch amp, and powered subwoofer. Everything was installed very clean, and Adrian was super friendly and knowledgable, he helped me out big time by even fixing a rattle that was previously in my door from an unsecured speaker grille. This is the best experience I've had at a car audio shop, I felt comfortable leaving my car with Adrian right after I first spoke with him..compared to other shops (such as Car Stereo Warehouse) that use shady salesmen tactics and who just want your money then they forget you exist. CSC offers lifetime warranty on all their work, and that alone shows they do care about the job. All in all this is an amazing shop, and they have very very reasonable pricing, and they get the job done quickly and efficiently. I personally bought my own speaker, amp, and sub but I would feel comfortable purchasing parts from these guys. Just ask for Adrian or Johnny and you'll never have to find another car audio shop again! =] read more

Great place and owner is super nice. I came in to have them plug in rca and remote cables so I can run the cables myself and not be charged 100 bucks and that way I can run them the correct way and not worry about the installer removing stuff he does not have to. Prices are a little steep and no room really to negotiate. Second they really don't have much stock most of the stuff they have is Diamond Audio, Kicker and lots of Cerwin Vega. My take is that this place is the perfect place to bring your stuff you bought online have them install it professionally. As for those whose had bad experiences with owner changing prices on you half way through the custom job and so on. Here is what I would have done. Gone inside asked for a quote and have the owner give you the estimate with his +/- margin. Typed up a Fee agreement with his quote and +/- margin or error in costs. Gone back have the owner sign it and done. If half way they owner/shop comes back stating that omg something is more I messed up and so on. You are now legally protected. If the shop fails to complete the job you now have a legal binding contract that you can take to court and sue the shop. Again I only suggest this route if you are going to spend more than 3 grand on a custom job and so on. Pros: Friendly Service, to the point and the installers are nice and professional Cons: only one not enough product on hand and limited and some items on their shelves look like they have been there for years by the layers of cost. I asked about one item I saw covered in massive dust and they quoted me 220 for it. I went online and found one brand new for half the cost. So do your research before your buy. read more

I went to get my new tweeters put in on my car. Every single thing on my car is fine and works fine. Johnny installed them and when he was done, I told him my windows were not working. He said he would re-check the wires. He did and say everything was fine. I told him my windows needed to be reset and he said "I don't know how to do that". Didn't even offer and solution to fix it. So I said fine, I'd take it somewhere else. Come to find out, JOHNNY blew my master switch, and blew out the passenger side window. I went back and Johnny wasn't there so I dealt with his partner. He was rude and said "The windows could be going out. We didn't do it". Are you serious?!?! He said Johnny would call me to talk about it, never did and still hasn't. NOT PROFESSIONAL JOHNNY!! You owe me a master switch. No one take their cars there and I'm going to make sure my mechanic doesn't send anyone else to him. Oh and my stick tweeters in my car sounded WAY better then the tweeters Johnny sold me. They sound like sh*t! read more

Went in to get a new stereo system, tint and led headlights. The guy that helped me was cool and laid back told me my car would be ready at a certain time and such. My car was ready when he said it would be. Tint was clean headlights were done right. When I got there he showed me all the features my stereo had and how everything worked and what not. When i showed up Johnny, the owner assured me that they would be able to perform the services I required for almost half the $$ i was quoted elsewhere. It appeared to be a great deal as he seemed extremely confident on the outcome. He assured me of his knowledge and promised to make it look as good as new. To my surprise the job was not what he promised or anything near what i expected; therefore he promised to fix it for an additional fee. After a few tries it is still not what i expected.
