There was a alot of food ordered from our group but before I get to that let me mention that from the time you pull into the parking lot until you sit down all that you smell is horse manure from their horses next to lot. Not a great smell to enjoy dinner. It diminished slightly when they sat us outside. Barely. We ordered a bunch of food and drinks. They got the drinks wrong. And double charged them. The vegan impossible pasta was disgusting. Tasted like pasta sauce mixed with corn syrup to thicken it up and then impossible meat sprinkled in. Everyone else said their food was good. The vegetarian quesadilla was full of cauliflower and broccoli and weird cheese. Not quite a quesadilla but they tried. Service was not existent. They didn't come around much for there not being anyone there.
As we finished our UTV experience we stopped to grab a bite to eat on the premises. They were quick to seat us and brought us cold beers. We ordered several appetizers and they were delicious. We ordered the fried mozzarella, alcapurrias, and Bacalaoitos. They were really good, mostly bite size versions.
Kan-Kan: A Meat Mohawk (Pork) In search of an easy ride through the Puerto Rican Rainforest, we found the elusive Pork Kan-Kan at Carabali Bar and Grill. It was huge, juicy cut of pork that was big enough for several people to eat. Service at this restaurant was really good, we order our food and it came quickly. The Puerto Rican saffron rice with pigeon peas (a type of bean) was cooked to perfect. The chocolate dessert was smooth, creamy and delicious. The restaurant was a high quality food establishments but surprisingly located near an adventure park, somewhere you'd be shock to find quality food. I'd recommend you definitely check them out.
When I ordered the chicken cracklings, what I had pictured in my head was fried pork rinds, but made somehow with chicken. What came out was fried chicken cubes still on the bone. What I want to know is, how did we get here? I'm still not sure. We were trying to find some natural rock slide in a river, and instead, ended up in this place. We didn't zipline or do any of that here. Just came in, sat at the bar, and ordered some grub. We never did find the rock slide place. Don't even think of giving me a hard time about this, though. Everything was in disarray up in here, see? It was just days after a hurricane hit this side of the island and the flash floods washed out the bridges leading into the park. What a mess it was. Nevertheless, the steak quesadilla was pretty darn good here, and they had ice cold BoB Beer, so not all was a wash!
Love the vibe and energy at this restaurant. Staff are all so friendly. Tamara our server tonight was the best waitress on our 10 day vacation. She was very tentative and loved everything about her! Great attitude and was friendly and kind you could tell she loved her job! Our food was excellent, husband ordered pork chops which were huge and the Puerto Rican rice which was so flavorful. Son had a burger and fries. Daughter had a seafood salad. I had the Mac and cheese with chicken wings. Food was amazingly delicious and definitely will return. 10 stars if I could!
The last time we were in Puerto Rico, we tried this place after horseback riding. It's a very casual spot and they had done some renovations since our last visit . Now this is a big tourist spot but they serve up some pretty good food . Although our waiter was awesome it took a while for our food to come out. They serve some good drinks. Food is delicious. I would definitely recommend for dinner or even lunch . The fried chicken chicharrones was a good appetizer. The steaks are perfectly cooked and tender the Puerto Rican rice is yummy . My husband ordered the red snapper HOLY cow it was huge and perfectly fried . So definitely give it a try if you are visiting the area

Yes it's a lot of food but I'm not in Puerto Rico often so I had to indulge. Churrasco was tender and flavorful. The rice was good. The mofongo was slammin.

We were hungry after touring El Yunque and found this local tourist spot. I am not big on big tourist traps but since it was technically "linner" we decided to give it a try. Restaurant is big with indoor and outdoor seating with a Tiki bar across from the restaurant. We chose to sit inside for the cool air. Our server was very nice but not very attentive. We started off with the pina coladas and some agua and it took her about 15 min to come back with our drinks and she also gave us Perrier water of which we did not order (she looked confused). We ordered the alcapurria with ground beef. They were tasty and crispy. I ordered the mofongo rellenos con pollo and it was tasty as well and a decently sized portion. BFF ordered the mofongo rellenos con carne frita (fried pork) & his plato was bigger and he said it was ok. He also ordered a side of rice (they didn't have arroz con gandules) and it had day old stewed habichuelas so it was nice and moist. Overall, it was ok. I think had it not been for the lack of service I would have rated this place four stars. We also ordered a couple of pina coladas and we had to ask our server if she placed the order correctly as we could not taste the rum at all (she claimed she got that complaint often and it was probably blended in). read more

We really enjoyed ourselves at this restaurant after our four wheel excursion. The food was fresh and prepared well. It's expensive though! The server was friendly and knowledgeable. We sat outside near the bar area and it was nice! Our bill for 4 people was $118 read more

Those spicy crab plantain cups are an absolute must! So good. The lights and outdoor area is so amazing. A fun place to try authentic food. It was super easy to get to even though it feels like you're going off the beaten path. read more

We had a lovely evening a little bit off the beaten path and outside of our resort when we were recommended this place and had a WONDERFUL meal. We went as three couples and were all greeted with smiling faces and willingness to help us have a great meal and it was not lost on us. I had the vegetable Mafungo which was incredible and so big and filling and our server was delightful and helpful. Well recommend this spot to anyone! read more

After having a great experience on the quad runners in the rain forrest we had a hunger that was worked up and wanted to take advantage of the close proximity and eat on property. I walked up an had the hostess add my name to the list and I was told it would be a 15 minuet wait. Without adding to much to the experience, we went back 35 minutes later and was asked "if I put my name on the list?" I was amazed and dumbfounded and I said "yes, you are the one that wrote it down. Look it is right there!" She had to get a manager or somebody that spoke English better and I explained to her that we had waited 30 minuets past the 15 that you told us we were supposed to be waiting". With that the manager tried to find a table for us to sit. While she was looking we looked at the surrounding floor, the upper floors and the back area and saw the majority of people sitting at tables had no food and only a few were eating. Going horse back riding to Luquillo beach. Next is lunch at Carabali bar and grill all in the outer setting of this amazing ranch. Next ATV riding thru trails. I can really say this is a wonderful layout with plenty of things to do. The employees are very polite and the facilities are kept very clean. A must do when in Puerto Rico. It's family friendly environment. read more

I understand why they won the award for best mojito! They're so addictive and I just wanted to keep ordering more. After an hour of riding the ATV's, my husband and I decided to stick around as they opened to enjoy a meal. I ordered the seafood mofongo and although very delicious, unfortunately the flies thought so too. I wasn't able to eat my meal in peace and the waitress let me know that the flies always hover over the seafood more than any other meal. I forget what my husband ordered but he really enjoyed it and had no complaints. Besides the flies, the food was amazing, the portions were generous, and the staff were very professional, fun and friendly. read more

Came here on vacation and popped over to grab something to eat. I ended up getting the steak, and omg, sooo good! It's worth your time, a great place to get authentic food and delicious drinks! read more

Came here for a quick pit stop (aka we were ready to faint of hanger) while we waited for our awesome ATV excursion. This place has all the Puerto Rico feels despite being at a touristy location. Clean bathrooms, delicious food, amazing drinks. Passion fruit mojito is a must! So flavorful and perfect on a hot rainforesty day. Food is homemade and tastes like your puertorican abuelita made it. Quick service. As soon as we got there we were on a little time crunch with enough time to eat but not enough time to wait too long while we waited for our excursion. They were very nice and understanding and quickly took care of us. Perfect spot to kill time while enjoying good food good drinks and good company. read more

We were staying at an Airbnb in Luquillo last weekend. On our first night, we decided to eat out, so we chose Carabali because it was next door to us. It was a quiet Thursday night. Aside from us, there were two other parties. They sat us outside because the inside dining area was closed, I assume due to covid. It was hot but they had mist spraying. It helped a little. The experience was excellent. Our waiter, Ferdinand (I believe that was his name), was very friendly. He explained everything and answered all questions without hesitation. We started out with the fried cheese with guava sauce. Very good, especially that guava sauce. Since we were in no rush, we added some Pony Fritters to with our drinks. The fritters were an assortment of mini bacalaitos, sorullitos, arepas, cheese pastelillos, chicken cordon blue balls, and fried cheese. Also fried yuca. Normally it would include alcauprrias but they were out. Everything was good, and filling. We were 4 adults and one child. For the main course I went with the skirt steak and rice and beans. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. It could have benefited from chimichurri sauce. It did come with a cilantro based sauce which was still good, but not the same as chimichurri. My dad ordered the carne frita with plantains, and my mom and wife got the Mofongo stuffed with shrimp. My son had the hotdog from the kids menu. Everything was a hit. I would come back. read more

Since I am in Puerto Rico, I wanted to try Mofongo. My family and I each bought a different one so we could try more than one. The food was soo good. The meats were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The service was ok. The waitress did check on us once, but we had to call her back when we needed something. There were not many tables inside, and it was not super busy, so they should have been a little more attentive. The restaurant was big inside, and it was a large barn style. The lighting was good, not too bright. It was worth the trip and close to my hotel. read more

Our family came here for lunch only to be served by this waitress. She was rude, dismissive, rolled her eyes when asked for basic info about menu and more. She did not give a shit about us. Restaurant was very very slow with less than 5 tables inside and outside with customers. She was one of at least 3 or more wait staff. Food was just okay but its expected for a tourist area. The place was not busy, weather was good, customers like us and others are very friendly and respectful so there was NO reason for her to be a bitch. read more
